I've been thinking about this and have been meaning to post a thread for a while. Around SummerSlam '95, King Mabel fueded with Diesel over the WWF title. He claimed his royal plan would be complete at SummerSlam '95 (originally i thought this was supposed to winning the WWF title).
However after he lost the WWF title match at SummerSlam, he still said the Royal Plan was a success. A friend of mine simply stated it was ridding the WWF of Lex Luger.
Does anyone remember this or can someone straighten this situation out for me?

Having lived through the era, I'd say the Royal Plan was indeed a success, if the plan was to have horrible matches on PPV and make the fans wish they weren't watching. Oh, and to have a manager with a really REALLY annoying name. "Sir Mo" has no ring to it at all. But at least he killed Oscar, so he gets points for style there

I just watched SummerSlam '95 recently, and honestly, I don't know. Luger did a run in, hit Diesel and Mabel, then left.... for WCW.

wasnt that actually Lugers last appearance? according to online world of wrestling he went back to wcw on the 4th septemeber 1995 approx 8 days after summerslam so it may have been his last appearance. however, i'm sure his wwf contract ran out the day before or something like that so he may have made an appearance on one of their tv shows. if you watch the monday night wars dvd i'm sure the situation with luger is mentioned on that so that might give an indication of his last appearance. sorry not watched the dvd for ages so can't remember exactly what it says.

Yeah SummerSlam '95 was Luger's final WWF appearance. His contract expired the day before Nitro if memory serves me correctly.

Yeah, his contract was up the Sunday before Nitro. He appeared at a WWF house show on Sunday, then showed up on Nitro on Monday.

I believe it was simply a tease that Luger would turn heel as Davey Boy had.
