I hope Jakks release a HHH like yours with the SHW Ripped torso. Looks spot-on. Maybe they could go that extra half-mile and paint logos on his elbow pads...

So you're a fan of the Bulldogs huh?
No honestly, its awesome to see so many different variations of the Bulldogs. Overall you're covering all grounds and making perfect figures. Its just great. I like the Bobby Heenan wrestling gear, that was something I had wished Jakks gave us.

Thanks. The Heenan is in my Weasel suit from Ralphs. And for those PMing me about how I do the torso swaps. I don't split the "new" torso. Here's what I do - I don't crack open the torso I'm going to use. I break apart the lower body on the figure I'll be taking the torso from. Normally I try and snap the stem off the top of crotch piece. Which I do by either turning the lower body sideways and just pulling the two halves until it snaps off. (Video link below) s116.photobucket.com/albums/o25/Pet322/Customs/?action=view¤t=May152009-VID00038.flvI only do that to the figure I'm taking the torso from, because the stem on the crotch piece snaps off inside the torso. (but it comes out once you wided the hole. Or I yank the legs out of the crotch piece. Then turn it sideways so the hips are facing the front & back of the figure. Then I slightly split apart the crotch piece with a pair of needle nose pliers. Once it "Cracks" apart I take the pliers and carefully break away the two halves of the crotch piece. Once the crotch is off the torso I widen the hole on the bottom of the torso. Mostly at the sides of torso. Then on the new crotch piece I trim the outer sides off the top of the stem. And then I just take the lower body and slip it sideways into the torso and turn it. Once it twists forward it locks into place. And as long as you don't turn the torso past 90 degrees it stays locked into place.

I can't spit a shirtless torso to save my life. They always break at the shoulders when I try and split one. That's why when I do a torso swap I know the parts I'm not using will be going into the trash. Of course the down side to the way I do it is that out of every two figures I use to make one I end up trashing a torso & crotch piece.

good work PJ i did the same thing with my extra set of Bulldogs. i like your method on cracking torsos. i'll try that with the Ripped torsos since those seem to be a pain in the ass to crack. (at least for me) everything else i do the old fashioned way. with a screw driver.

Looks good. I bought the CS24 Davey and did a head swap on the CSTT Bulldogs to make them more accurate. They look much better now.
I suck at changing torsos though.

They should have held it back a series and did it right. There were just too many flaws...Davey Boy's head (or at least hair) No socks, lack of detail on the boots (compared to both the CS20 Dynamite Kid & CS24 singles) wrong shade of blue. All of which were disappointments to me as that has always been my favorite Bulldogs attire.

Very nice fix-ups. I always wondered how you were able to split those torsos so easily. Your tutorial gave the confidence to try something I've been wanting to do for some time but was always afraid to because of messing up the torso. I put the HBK as Hogan red shirt torso on a tye dye Hogan. It turned out just like I wanted so thanks again for the extra motivation!
