I went to the 10:20 showing of Terminator tonight. Well about 35 min in to the movie, boom power shuts off. We find out it was the entire side of the street and they had everyone(from all the different movies) at first line up to get rain checks to come back. They realized they weren't going to have enough so they just told everybody else to bring their stub and it would be honored to come back so were going to go tomorrow after noon like 1pm. So has that ever happened to you where the power went off during the movie and they had to give rain checks. The funny thing is it wasn't raining at all it did earlier on but not at that point. It sucks that we had bought a large popcorn to split and large sodas only to have the movie not be shown

When I went to see Casino Royale a few years ago there was 30 minutes of trailers/previews. Then the power shuts off and over the PA they tell us that we have to move to theater 6 or something. At least when we exited the theater we were in they handed us a pass to see a free movie.

when I watched Harry potter 2 in theathers, the movie kept shutting off. I think the rest of the theathers were okay, just out specific screening was having problems.

Something like this happened while I was watching "On The Right Track". The film broke 20 minutes in & they said they would fix it right away. When they got it up & running again, my friend and I were the only idiots who stayed. That movie was horrible.

Odd as it may sound, Hot Shots part Deux.. The movie shut off for 25 minutes right in the middle.

When I saw Passion ofthe Christ the film stopped working, same with Little Miss Sunshine.
The day I went to see WALL-E (which was also the opening day for Dark Knight), the power in the theater goes out, right after the WALL-E title screen comes up. A Dark Knight showing had started like 45 minutes earlier, so that sucks for those who tried to see it. It was weird because before the movie started, there was this little kid with a flashlight. So when the power went out before the emergency lighting kicked in he had his flashlight on.
We waited like a half hour or so and they sent us home. You were able to redeem your ticket for a free movie pass but since I was from out of town I just got my money back.

When i went to see The Lion King a storm knocked the power out but it shortly resumed, it took the audio a few more moments to resume as well. Also when I went to see The Mummy there was no audio for any of the trailers and the picture was off then it was fixed by the time of the movie, luckily.

OH YES i rememeber this, last summer I was working up in Manchester and I went to see The Dark Knight, the film was like 20 or so mins from the end and BOOM power shuts off to the cinema. Something to do with the generator so there was like 25 screens worht of people standing outside thinking wtf having everyone else just walking past thinking wtf they doing. Luckly got a free pass to see it again

I saw Watchmen opening weekend and we just had some pretty bad storms. We got about fifteen minutes into the movie, the power goes out. I was so pissed and I was about to go crazy, but it came back on. Then, the power goes out for a second time. I was seriously about to shoot myself. But I got to watch the whole movie, so I was fine.

Went to see America's Sweethearts with my mom when it came out, and near the end of the movie it shut off. They fixed it, but they also gave us free passes.

I dunno I don't think the power has ever shut off but during The Mask I think it was... some movie with Jim Carrey in it the fire alarm went off and they rushed us all out into the parking lot. Turns out someone just pulled the alarm and we were allowed back in. The staff didn't stop the movie though -_-

When I worked at Century Theatre as a manager, we had a running brown out occur and we had to give specialized tickets to those so that we could tell who was actually there during the blackout because some people caught wind of it and tried to say they were there when they actually weren't.

I can't remember what movie I was watching, but there was a fire in the theatre next to the one I was in. Kind of scary when you're a little kid. But as far as power outages go, I haven't had one yet.

I BELIEVE I was going to see Pirates of the Caribean when it came out, and the power went out for a few minutes. No refunds or anything, it came back on.
