I never saw the end of The Truman Show. I went with my step-dad, step-uncle, and step-cousin. We were in the theater, and right when it gets to the crucial point of "Does he stay or does he leave?", the film shuts off, the lights come on, and this 'whoop-whoop' siren blares. A recorded voice repeats how "There is an emergency within the building...please evacuate the building!"
My step-dad didn't want to stick around, so we just went home. Walking back to the parking lot, I ran into a friend who joked how it was all my fault. After the weekend, he told me that if I just stuck around, I'd have gotten a voucher for another time.
The theater close to me now, makes good on any screw-up, no matter how minor. So, I've seen a few free movies in the past five years, thanks to them.

this happend to my buddies and I once when we watched the movie "Showtime" with Eddie Murphy & Robert DeNiro. They didn't offer refunds that I remeber they just said they'd fix the movie and when it restarted it skipped over the part that was being shown when the movie screwed up.
It sucked and the movie wasn't that good either. The funny thing is now that movie therater got closed down.

I've been lucky. The worst that's happened to me was when I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and the audio was out of sync with the video for five-ten minutes when they're about to participate in the third challenge of the Triwizard Tournament.

Sort of. When i went to see Monsters Vs aleins the teather said we had to wait outside cause the teather wasnt ready yet. A manager came out and gave us 2 free movie passes each for the inconvience. even though we were let in like 3 mins later.
