There has been that many kanes released but ive never seen 1 in the shops only had a few via trades or bootsale buys

Did you forget the Wal-Mart exclusive "Best of Wrestlemania" Kane w/micro aggression figure? If so that brings it to 18.

And to think, before the present incarnation, Kane would often change his gear too quickly for whatever figures that came out at the time to be current.

it's funny because I (like many) bought it's first release - AD15 w/ MVP. I mainly bought it for the MVP (duh) but very shortly after replacing my old Kane w/ the newer one, i realized that the Kane was indeed the better fig in the set (as MVP was already outdated). It is still a great fig, but it is indeed a little ridiculous that it's been released that many times.
