I've read that its a return to Evil Dead form by Sam Raimi, and that's from the only film reviewer I trust.

Well I wish it'd be actually "scary" instead of "things popping out" like most horror movies are nowadays. I dont really have a problem with it, but it gets old and it'd be better if they were creepy/scary.

I dont really have a problem with it, but it gets old and it'd be better if they were creepy/scary. Just got back from a screening, trust me when I say this is the creepiest/scariest film I've seen in a long time. I haven't been genuinely scared by a film since I was a child, but this one has me slightly worried about turning my lights off so I can get to sleep. I honestly can't put into words just how amazingly funny, scary and downright GREAT that this film is. Sam hasn't lost anything, this is proof. There is no Bruce cameo, unless it came after the credits, which I didn't sit through this time, but he won't be missed. If I could give this more than a 10/10 I would, it, 37/10. Go see it ASAP.

I have to see this with my horror movie friend Alyssa..
We always see stupid horror movies but this one maybe good and not just stupid entertainment.
Out of 95 reviews it has 90 positive so that means it has 95% which is awesome for a horror movie.
I just wish it was rated r but what can you do? . .

Spill.com has given it 'full price' and for me, a follower of that site, they've been bragging about watching it since it appeared in South by Southwest.

Sam Raimi is one of my forgotten favorite directors. all his Spider-Man stuff makes me forget about Evil Dead and Dark Man.
don't get me wrong, i don't dislike Spider-Man 1 or 2, i just forget it's the same director often.
...but then the Doc Ock scene of him killing all the doctors in Spidey 2 reminds me. ;D

I can't wait to see this film. All three Evil Dead movies are classics and another horror from Sam Raimi can only be a good thing. The Gent.
