TNA EXECUTIVES SPOTTED AT FOX IN LA FOR NEXT ROUND OF TV NEGOTIATIONS by Mike Johnson @ 1:48:36 PM on 7/23/2007
TNA's Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett were back in Los Angeles late last week (I believe Wednesday or Thursday) for another round of meetings with FOX Network executives. One source spotted them eating with execs at the Fox commissary.
As I noted earlier today on PWInsider.com, internally TNA is going forward with fall plans on the notion that they will have a two hour edition of Impact on either SpikeTV or a FOX Network entity. SpikeTV reportedly has plans to move UFC programming (including the Ultimate Fighter reality series) to Wednesdays if TNA remains with them, presumably to make way for a two hour version of Impact.
According to one source in the entertainment industry, FOX and TNA have discussed a multi-tier deal with the company where TNA-branded shows would air on multiple networks. The source believed the FOX discussions may have included the idea of a live broadcast weekly.

I hope FOX networks get TNA. 2 hours, and a lot more exposure.

2 Hours of TNA is nice, but it's still no competition if it's still on Thursday.

We're not looking at competiton here, we're looking at progression. This is great news for the company and personally i hope they sign with Fox. Sounds like FOX wants to offer them more.

Anyone think they'll do one of those backwards messages for a PPV opening like they did to "announce" their SpikeTV move? Or will they just launch their redesigned site with a new Fox/FX/MyNetwork logo?

This validates previous reports and suggests some serious negotiations have been going on. Go with the company thats gonna take care of ya. Spike hasnt done anything to try to get them 2 hours since coming on, yet they pump out UFC a hundred times and other crappy programming...come on FOX...ok Im done ;D

If they do get a Fox deal, it will shoot them through the roof. I can't believe I am about to say this but....
TNA will explode soon and the WWE is in trouble if they don't up the anty on the product soon. Though I think the E' does better in competition anyway.

If TNA were to suddenly get this big deal on Fox, I doubt they could handle it.
For starters they couldn't even handle putting a live show on Monday when RAW was not on.

There is no "reportedly" to this. Spike TV HAS moved The Ultimate Fighter. It was announced a few days ago. Or given TNA the chance in the past to have 2-hour specials, which were testing the waters for a future move to 2 hours. But yeah, Spike TV has never done anything for TNA. Ever. Nope. Nothing. Boy you hit the nail on the head with that one.

...that isnt much... Spike TV shelled out over a million dollars to keep UFC.. why the cant they do that for TNA? Maybe because UFC is over 50x more popular than TNA in today's society? and that warrants a monopoly of programming time? please, if Spike wants to be known as the UFC channel, that's great but it shouldnt be at the hands of a compnay trying to make its mark. Sure Spike helped TNA get network but they havent done much to get them 2 hours...how long has TNA wanted 2 hours? almost since they came on, but what does Spike do? They throw them a bone here and there, then give us csi and star trek reruns and two hours worth of the most amazing videos, and some gawd aweful originla programming. I'm glad Spike gave them the cahnce but FOX can do so much more with them and I believe they are willing to allow that.
