Terminator: A solid, adult sci-fi story produced at a time when most SF was aimed at kids. The acting was superb all around.
T2: Groundbreaking, iconic, has held up better over time (in terms of special effects) than it's predecessor.
T3: Worthy addition to the series. It gets a lot of undue heat with fans. Achilles' heel is the line: You only postponed it. Judgment Day is inevitable. That made a mockery of Sarah's efforts to stop Skynet in T2.
T:Salvation. Some critics are saying this movie wasn't necessary. I disagree. T1-T3, were about John surviving but none of those flicks actually said whether or not he led humanity to victory over Skynet & the machines. More than a few people wanted to know that.

I love ALL things Terminator but the directors cut of T2(like Aliens)is Cameron at his very best....... that shite on the boat this is what Cameron is all about. I woulkd rate the rest as follows T1,Salvation then T3.seen Salvation last night and loved it......do not get the hate for this movie.

T2. Greatest action movie of all time, IMO. You took the words right out of my mouth. T2 eclipses T3 and T4, and T1 was good for what it was: mostly horror, some sci-fi. T2 is really the benchmark that I measure all other actions movies on. It's simply the best at combining great action, incredible special effects (for its time), and some really awesome character development. To this day I still get a little misty-eyed when Arnold says "I know now why you cry." Cameron did the impossible twice in T2: made Terminators sympathetic characters, and made Arnold convey deep emotion...hell, any emotion besides blind rage...and not make it look incredibly forced.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day without question. Once I was T3 titled "Rise of the Machines" (even both T3 was released) I wanted a 4th installment to explain what happens next, kind of like the missing link between T1 & T3. I would expect a T5 would be in the works, but they should have no more afterwards.

Loved the first and second. Both have special spots in my heart. 3rd and 4th were decent.

The movies are way too confusing to me. I get most of the movie, but the whole time-travel thing is ed up.

It should've ended with T-2, that film is one of the greatest movies of all time regardless of what type of film it is.
