Is anyone else really impressed with Don West as of late? He's a lot more charismatic, and his one liners are gold. And because of his comedic role, Tenay has been calling the matches a lot better than usual. They have to be the best announce team out there today.

Heel West was annoying me at first but he's been gold lately and really gotten his jokes down perfectly. I miss the references to the Hotel Bar though.

I agree - 100%. We should just rename this the "Don West/Mike Tenay Apperciation Thread".
West: You know what's the difference between Taylor Wilde & Daffney?
Tenay: I guess I'm about to...
West: Taylor Wilde's the kind of woman who you take home to your mother...and then you leave her with your mother and you sneak out to hook up with Daffney.
Tenay: So where does that leave Awesome Kong?
West: Hopefully at your house.

Let's not get all full of ourselves here. this is still the smae tandem that for the past six years was annoying as hell. Just becasue West has found a few one liners doesnt mean they're still a great commentating team. Ten still sounds lie he's readin from script and West still inhales the mic and comes across as tryig to hard to be a heel announcer. Have they made improvements? yes. But they are far from the best.

I disagree whole heartedly. They are okay, but more times then not they suck. If you want me to be fair, the best is easily Striker and Mathews and I give Striker more credit. Although Josh has proven to have a knack for the business and not just the WWE universe of it.

They would be an okay team to announce a late night show like a Shotgun Saturday Night, while most of the world is asleep, or in a coma. But no seriously they aren't that great, and don't deserve an appreciation thread because they improved from smelly crap to less smelly crap.  |

I've never had a problem with Don West really. I just feel that Tenay shouldn't be the color, he should be the analyst and Don should be the color guy.

I watched most of Impact this week, and I was really surprised with his quality. He's really working hard at the heel gimmick. Its funny, a few weeks before West made his heel turn, I was thinking to myself that wrestling really needs a heel color commentator. The last great heel commentator in my opinion was Bobby Heenan. West will NEVER be Heenan, but anything half is good is fine with me.
West went from FAIL to tolerable, and actually sometimes enjoyable.
