Who you trying to fool with that? I'm not even going for it. I could name quite a few better than that ass Tom Brady. Troy Aikman is better than Tom Brady ever will be, and I'm an Eagles fan and truly HATE the Cowboys with such a passion.....so that's saying something. No way. I can understand the Joe Montana argument. But Troy Aikman!? Hell no. I'd rank Marino above all three of them. Reasoning? Dan-o played with some really terrible teams and still did amazing. Montana, Aikman, and Brady all had great teams built up with them.

Yeah Troy Aikman over Tom Brady is just embarrassing. Tom Brady very well could go down as the best QB ever, he sure is in the Top 5. I think right now its Montana, Marino never won anything so he cant be the best...Montana/Peyton/Favre/Brady are all in the discussion. Not Troy Aikman

No, not terrible logic. No one IN ANY sport that is considered the "best" is title-less like Marino. I am sorry that is a HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGE criteria when you want to be considered the best all time.
Anyone can pad stats and put up ridiculous numbers on bad teams, etc...it takes THE BEST to actually win, regardless of who is around you.
Marino is top 5, but no way is he the best.
Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Bill Russell, Mario Lemieux
What do they all have in common?

That's like saying Ted Williams shouldn't be considered one of the all time greatest left handed hitters because he didn't win anything. You don't win anything unilatterally in sports unless it's a game with singles competitors like tennis or golf.

Troy Aikman is one of the most over-rated players of all-time. The guy only passed for 20+ TD's once in his entire career... And that's coming from a big Cowboys fan.
Tom Brady will very possibly go down as the best ever.
I agree with BubbaRayDJ, though, in regards to 'needing a championship' to be considered the best ever. Football is a team sport. Randy Moss has never won a championship, Barry Sanders never won a championship, etc... Yet I'd make a case for each of them being in the top-2 at their position of all-time, if not No. 1.
... And did Alex Rodriguez win a championship? I didn't know that. I guess I don't watch baseball, though.

Dont know why I put A-Rod on there, went a little too far on my tangent.
Being a QB is different than a WR or a RB, they have more control over the game and the teams success, that is why I cant put Marino ahead of winners like Brady, Manning etc. If you base it on stats, then the tiebreaker should titles and Marino would lose that

I don't think you can go purely on stats, but I mean, obviously they do have to be considered... And it's not like the Dolphins didn't win a championship because of Marino.
What really bothers me is that we've seen horsesh*t quarterbacks be on Superbowl winning teams and those guys get credited more than any player on the team.

Joe Namath, Terry Bradshaw, Jim McMahon, Phil Simms, Doug Williams, Mark Rypien, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson...
Hell, you could even make a case for Ben Roethlisberger. I love Ben, he's one of my FAVORITE players, but he's not a top-5 QB right now, despite having won TWO Superbowls. You put Roethlisberger on a team without one of the best defenses of all-time, and you have a zero Superbowl winner with below average passing stats.

And being the best NFL Quarterback ever gets you this; Johnny Unitas was married to that whore?

Johnny Unitas was married to that whore? Johnny Unitas and his career QB rating of 78.2. To compare, last year, Kyle Orton's QB rating was 79.6. Seneca Wallace's was 87.0. JaMarcus Russell's was 77.1. Brett Favre's was 81.0. Ryan Fitzpatrick's was 70.0. Philip Rivers' was 105.5.

Brady never really had exceptional stats until he got Moss (and Welker). That said, even before he had his '07 season, I would've put him in the top-5 of all-time... But after the '07 season, he's No. 1 with a bullet for me. The guy does absolutely everything you could ask for.
