Ah yes, the topic that just won't die. Here I am, the guy who said Brady wasn't as good as Elway because he can't "throw a curveball". First of all, that's not what I said, you just took it out of context.
While I don't agree with everything Hitman Bono has said, he has brought up some good points, which Kliquid just shoots down as "not factual" and everyone else defends him.
FACT is, this is an opinion forum, for the one hundred and seventy fifth time. It isn't a place for facts.
Kliquid, dude, you can argue Tom Brady all you want, but if you're gonna sit there and talk about Philip Rivers as a great QB, then YOU are the one who doesn't know what he's talking about.
Rex Grossman would be successful in the Chargers offense.
You have already made your mind up that Tom Brady is God, so why would anyone want to come in here and argue with you, when that's the case. Because that's what you do, you don't talk rationally to people, you argue. Then you try to overpower them with your "football knowledge" because this forum has crowned you King of the NFL.
You might be that on here, but nowhere else.

While I don't agree with everything Hitman Bono has said, he has brought up some good points, which Kliquid just shoots down as "not factual" and everyone else defends him. I shot them down as non-factual because, well, they're not true. If I say "John Elway threw 30,000 interceptions," would that be true? No. Maybe if he provided information that was actually true, I wouldn't shoot it down. But I'm still waiting for him to do that. When he says the Dolphins had the best defense in the league during a year where they weren't even in the top half of the league; yeah, I'm going to call it out as B.S. Excuse me for being a stickler on stupid people trying to infect the rest of us. FACT is, this is an opinion forum, for the one hundred and seventy fifth time. It isn't a place for facts. It's about facts when someone comes in talking about how I'm providing incorrect information; despite the fact that I have statistical evidence from the league itself on the matter. Kliquid, dude, you can argue Tom Brady all you want, but if you're gonna sit there and talk about Philip Rivers as a great QB, then YOU are the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. Rex Grossman would be successful in the Chargers offense. First of all, I never said Philip Rivers is a "great QB." What, exactly, was so great about the Chargers' offense last year? Was it LaDainian Tomlinson, who had the worst season of his pro career? Was it those "great" WR's named Vincent Jackson and Chris Chambers? Was it Antonio Gates, who had the worst season of his career since his rookie year; by over 200 yards? Philip Rivers made that offense click. I would expect a dumbass Broncos homer like yourself to bash Rivers, though, so I'm not even going to go into it further than that. You are the definition of why people subconsciously hate Broncos fans. Your head is so far up your ass that you refuse to listen to reason, even if it's staring you in the eyes. You have already made your mind up that Tom Brady is God, so why would anyone want to come in here and argue with you, when that's the case. Because that's what you do, you don't talk rationally to people, you argue. Then you try to overpower them with your "football knowledge" because this forum has crowned you King of the NFL. I don't consider myself the "King of the NFL." I provide factual information to back up my opinions. You provide nothing. Try taking a debate class and you'll quickly see that "opinions" only get you so far in a conversation. Especially when you're providing incorrect information to go along with those opinions, as you have done throughout this entire thread.

Maybe not 'great' yet, but he's up there.

Don't you talk about Vincent Jackson that way! Hey, I like Vincent Jackson -- but this guy is acting like throwing to him would make anyone into an all pro, which is hilariously preposterous. Oh, and I'd like to believe it as a fact that Philip Rivers is in the upper echelon of starting QBs today. Maybe not 'great' yet, but he's up there. I think Rivers is near the top of the league right now, but I generally reserve the term "great" for the Brady's and Manning's of the world.

Grossman WOULD be successful anywhere because he's the best QB of all-time.

I'll put Troy Aikman or Roger Staubach up against anyone on these lists from the shear ability to get the job done.

Swap Chris Miller and Troy Aikman, and Miller wins 3 Superbowls, and Aikman none.

Chris Miller was actually a pretty good quarterback, who had the terrible misfortune of playing for the Falcons. He had a great arm, and a good head for the game. he also had mostly garbage defenses, offensive lines, and no running game whatsoever. Not to mention playing for Marion Campbell, and Jerry Glanville (who I love, but is a terrible coach).
Anyway, the main point is that Aikman was good, but not great. Any good quarterback would have had as much success, if not more in that same situation.

Why no serious argument for Montana? Drop dead accurate. Born on and off field leader. Ultimate clutch player. More mobile (in his early years) than people give him credit for. Never turned the ball over. What more could you ask for in a QB?

We were too busy discussing why it isn't John Elway.
