What do you guys think is the most succesful/powerful character WWE has ever produced (only taking in ring ability into slight consideration)??
As far as impact on the fans themselves, i'd say theyre all qualified. But as far as Taker goes, he's gone through some transformations (Debut,Attitude,Ministry,Biker,Big Evil,Present) but more or less DOESNT CHANGE A THING. I caught his "resurrection" at the 94 Rumble, and the Taker vs. Faker match at that years SSlam. Someone on the surface might say that he made Yokozuna and Brian Lee look good, but if you take into account the theatrics, the buildup, the aura of the persona, people were CAPTIVATED by these angles without even concerning themselves with how good the matches were

If we are talking about success, it has to be Hogan.

Stone Cold by far, considering all the money and fans he drew.

Tough choices. I'm going with Undertaker due to his longevity.

I gotta go with Taker... he may not be as well known as Hogan or Stone Cold, but his gimmick is far mor far-fetched so its more impressive to me

Out of those I would say The Rock. However, Shawn Michaels is probably for deserving as he has really had a career and character that can't be matched and couldn't have been planned.

Hogan, pretty much everyone knows who he is even if they have no knowledge of wrestling.

Stone Cold. After some lets say 'not the best personas', they said 'let Austin be himself', and became one of the best Wrestlers & much loved of all time.

I gotta go with The Rock. The Rock was quite literally a house hold name durring and well after the attitude era. Also, not since Hulk Hogan had a wrestler's catchphrases and such caught on with the public and even people who didn't watch wrestling the way they did with Rock.

I dunno.... I think Kane is the most interesting and in depth character wwe has put together, even though some of his stuff gets a little goofy sometimes...
But I think it has to go Hogan, due to how much money he made and how he pretty much single handedly turned wrestling into a mainstream entity...
2nd would be Undertaker, just based on how long he's been around and continually in main events.
I suppose Austin raked in some cash... but he really wasn't around all that long when you think about it.
He was already fizzling out by '03 and he just became a big main event name in 98'ish... so less than 5 years as a top teir guy... and that brings him down a few notches for me.

The Rock was easily the biggest draw in recent wrestling history. There is no question that he was the most successful "character."

Most widely known- Hogan.
Most unique/out of this world- Taker
Most controversial/popular in a short span but died out- Austin
Most OVERALL successful that was able to carry their popularity into other realms- Rock.
So I vote the Rock.
