I was thinking, how bout TNA doing the invasion angle with Kennedy and Umaga. Basically the same concept two new generation main eventers in WWE switching over to the competition. Then they could do a storyline as if they were outsiders and the Main Event Mafia could turn babyface to face off against them and align with the TNA originals which would make some interesting TV, like nitro was in 96 with the Horsemen/Faces of Fear/WCW Babyfaces all aligned together. But this is not a perfect world and TNA is not creative to do that.

If you bring in Kennedy I want him to job to Angle at atleast 3 PPVs, then get paired with Jethro Holiday and Sharkboy and job to the rest of the roster. And as an Umaga fan, they should feed him to Joe and have Joe kill him.

And basically try to re-create the magic that the nWo storyline had during the early stages?
It's bad enough that TNA reminds me of WCW as it is, I do not want to see another recycled invasion storyline.

The difference between that and the Outsiders, is time. Back then the internet wasn't as hugely popular as it is now, and wrestling dirt sheets were less popular, so when Razor Ramon and Diesel appeared on WCW TV all of a sudden, it was a shock. Same with Luger on the first episode of Nitro.

It was shocking because they hadn't/haven't signed him, and because of that, they haven't done too much with him. For an outsiders angle to happen, they'd have to sign the guys they want, which word would get out quick. |

For them to actually pull off an invasion angle, they would need to have some huge stars show up that people don't know are not under contract for WWE. Everyone knows Kennedy and Umaga are no longer in the WWE. It wouldn't be a big shock and it would seem like a work. Now, if Triple H and Shawn Michaels walked out from the crowd in the impact zone and got on a mic, I'd mark out like no tomorrow. See what I mean? Nobody is gonna mark out for Kennedy and Umaga and it will seem like a lame work. That is why invasion storylines only work when the only people that know about it are the guys doing it.

WWE guys have been invading TNA for years... the only difference is they're called acquisitions not outsiders. We already got TNA's version of an invasion with MEM/Frontline and they screwed it up royally with no TNA guys being put over. Your idea isn't creative... it's stale, redundant and the way TNA would book it... pointless.
