NJPW 1/31/90 - Jushin Liger vs. Naoki SanoSimply one of the greatest junior heavyweight singles matches ever. Loved the way Sano was just viciously destroying, ripping at Liger's mask and dismantling him. Absolute must-see. ****3/4
AJPW 9/10/95 - Triple Crown Championship: Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Akira TaueObviously not as good as their 4/15/95 match, which could be argued as the best singles match of the year. But this was still a great match, which most of Misawa's singles matches were and Taue brings the fire in these type of matches. So of course it was great. ****1/4
AJPW 10/25/95 - Giant Baba, Jumbo Tsuruta, and Stan Hansen vs. Akira Taue, Takao Omori, and Tamon HondaJust an undercard six-man, decent action. Nothing more, nothing less. *1/2
NOAH 10/28/05 - Masao Inoue, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, and Mitsuo Momota vs. Jun Izumida, Kishin Kawabata, and Haruka EigenYour standard opening six-man to NOAH shows. 1/2*
NOAH 10/28/05 - Ricky Marvin vs. Kentaro ShigaI hate Marvin singles matches that go over ten minutes. He's just not cut out for it unless it's under ten minutes. Still a decent match. *3/4
NOAH 10/28/05 - Tamon Honda vs. SUWAHoly hell is post-2003 Honda overrated by certain people. SUWA totally carried this match. *1/2
NOAH 10/28/05 - Yoshinari Ogawa, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Go Shiozaki, and Masashi Aoyagi vs. Scorpio, Doug Williams, Michael Modest, and Donovan MorganI honestly don't remember much about this match. I think it was slightly better than the previous match but on par with the singles match. *3/4
NOAH 9/27/09 - Akira Taue and Keiji Muto vs. Kenta Kobashi and Yoshihiro TakayamaGood match here. Muto looked to be caught by surprise when Kobashi threw his first chop at Muto. I don't think he expected it to hurt that much. Then Kobashi chopped him again and Muto rolled out of the ring to get a chair. Taue with the shining wizard was the highlight of the match. Enjoyed this one. **3/4
NJPW 10/12/09 - 13-Man Battle Royal: Kazuchika Okada, Nobuo Yoshihashi, Mitsuhide Hirasawa, Koji Kanemoto, Tomoaki Honma, Kuniaki Kobayashi, Gran Hamada, Taichi, Don Arakawa, Great Kojika, Tiger Toguchi, Yoshiaki Fujiwara & Super Strong MachineThis was Royal Rumble rules. It was fun to see the guys from the 70s to now all in this battle royal. Wasn't really good. But it was fun to see some guys we haven't seen since like the 80s. Kobayashi was over like rover, as was Fujiwara. 1/2*
NJPW 10/12/09 - Takao Omori vs. Karl AndersonThis was an okay match. Can't really complain too much because it was a simple match, smartly worked, nothing bad at all. Anderson couldn't get the heat he was looking for. Perhaps he should be face. The crowd just cheers him too much. *1/2
NJPW 10/12/09 - Hirooki Goto, Wataru Inoue, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Prince Devitt vs. Masato Tanaka, Tomohiro Ishii, Jado, and GedoMan... what is it with Inoue and Ishii? Inoue's one of the worst guys on the roster and Ishii is an okay wrestler. But these two just bring out the absolute best in each other. I don't get it at all. **1/4
NJPW 10/12/09 - 3-Way Body Slam Match: Akebono vs. Giant Bernard vs. Yutaka YoshieIt served its purpose although not really anything good. It was a rather smartly worked match. *1/2
NJPW 10/12/09 - First Tiger Mask, Tiger Mask IV, and Kota Ibushi vs. Riki Choshu, Jushin Liger, and AKIRAThis was a decent match. Ibushi really impressed here. Everyone else were themselves. Not a bad match. **
NJPW 10/12/09 - Yuji Nagata and Kohei Sato vs. Toru Yano and Takashi IizukaThis was a pretty heated affair but nothing too good. **1/4
NJPW 10/12/09 - IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Shinjiro OtaniNow here's a match I've been looking forward highly to since it was announced and it did not disappoint. Otani came out to the late Shinya Hashimoto's theme then going to his own theme while Hash's son Daichi Hashimoto was at ringside to watch the match. Otani brought fire and brought all he had. Nakamura fought even harder. Just an awesome match! ***3/4
NJPW 10/12/09 - Masahiro Chono 25th Anniversary Match: Masahiro Chono, Keiji Muto, and Kenta Kobashi vs. Manabu Nakanishi, Satoshi Kojima, and Jun AkiyamaThis match was a lot better than people give it credit for because I hardly hear anything about it and it was easily the second best match of the night. Chono looked the best he had looked in years in this match. Kobashi and Nakanishi's interactions entertained the hell out of me. Nakanishi's chops are just brutal. I had never noticed his chops were that stiff... dare I say it... better than Kobashi's that night? Muto and Akiyama looked great. Of course Kobashi and Kojima wanted at each other once again after the six-man from All Japan in August. Their interactions were great as well. But for me, it was all about Kobashi vs. Nakanishi. I'd love to see a singles match in the future between those two. ***1/2
WWE 3/28/10 - Unified WWE Tag Team Championship: The Big Show and Miz vs. John Morrison and R-TruthVery short. Didn't really get anywhere. But it was fun for what it was. *
WWE 3/28/10 - Triple Threat Match: Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiaseI used to despise Orton. But he looked incredibly good and motivated here. I think I'm turning into an Orton fan once again. **
WWE 3/28/10 - Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kane vs. Jack Swagger vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Evan Bourne vs. MVP vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Christian vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mat HardyEnjoyed this one immensely. Kofi with the stilts was great stuff. Bourne didn't look out of his element for a first timer in MITB.
***1/2
WWE 3/28/10 - Triple H vs. SheamusThis one was better than I expected it to be. A part of me thought Sheamus might have pulled off the upset. But he didn't. **3/4
WWE 3/28/10 - Rey Mysterio vs. CM PunkWay too short but had a lot of action. If it had gotten ten more minutes, it might have been one of the best matches of the night. **1/2
WWE 3/28/10 - No Holds Barred Lumberjack Match: Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahonThis was very bad but at least it told a story. It was fun seeing the Hart family beat up Vince. 1/4*
WWE 3/28/10 - World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho vs. EdgeTook a few minutes for it to kick in. But it got very entertaining. This was one of the more unpredictable matches but I had Jericho. Probably the second best match of the night. ***1/2
WWE 3/28/10 - Ten-Diva Tag Team Match: Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, and Eve Torres vs. Michelle McCool, Maryse, Vickie Guerrero, Layla, and Alicia FoxAs I predicted, a cluster
. This was horrid, absolutely terrible. They tried a different style where they did consistent spots in which they each did their finishers one after another and it just looked horrible. DUD
WWE 3/28/10 - WWE Championship: Batista vs. John CenaThis was a downgrade to their SummerSlam 2008 match but it was an okay match. **3/4
WWE 3/28/10 - Streak vs. Career: Undertaker vs. Shawn MichaelsDamn awesome match here. I could have down without like four tombstones. But what can you do... definitely my new MOTY. ****1/2
WWE NXT 4/6/10 - Daniel Bryan vs. Darren YoungVery good for the time given. The real winner here was AmDrag. He carried Young to the best singles match of his career. *1/2
