Samoa Joe VS Takeshi Morishima, ROH Fifth Year Festival, NYC.
A real letdown IMO, I'd seen it a while ago, gave it another viewing, and still...*sigh*
The whole card was a bit off, TBH.

Watched the whole man up '07 DVD from ROH last night.
Four corner Survival : Chris Hero vs Naomichi vs Nigel vs Claudio. Easy 3 1/2 star match here, right from the get go it was near impossible to guess a winner because all of them had a good reason to win, a great way to start off the show, Nigel going off the top rope into the crowd with a cross body was insane.
Best of 3 series was good, in, my mind gem from that was Erick Stevens vs Roderick.
Bryan Danielson vs Takeshi: The story going into this match was amazing, the match itself only went for 10 minutes or so but still was an easy 4 star match, also the ending was very well done and was a perfect set up for a future match between the 2.
Briscoe vs Steen and Generico, ladder match: This match had the main event spot and it was rightfully deserved, right from the start they start brawling in the crowd with some wicked chair shots, then a little later on the Briscoes hit Generico with a dooms day device going under the ladder which was amazing to see, match went on for about 30 minutes, easy 4 1/2 star match for me.
Gonna watch super card of Honor 3 tonight, should be some good stuff.

Rewatched Jimmy Rave VS BJ Whitmer, ROH Live In Tokyo '07.
I don't know why I did, as it wasn't my cup of tea, plus the finish was quite sloppy, on top of an already weak match.

NOAH 10/5/08 - KENTA and Taiji Ishimori vs. Naomichi Marufuji and Ippei Ota It wasn't getting anywhere for the first ten minutes but surprisingly picked up with Ishimori and Ota's exchanges. Okay match. *3/4
NJPW 1/4/09 - Mitsuharu Misawa and Takashi Sugiura vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Hirooki Goto (re-watch) Still such an awesome match and the MOTN. The fifteen minutes flew by. Misawa and Nakamura's exchanges were epic. Nakamura's punch to Sugsy was my favorite part of the match. They were definitely going to build up to a singles match. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. ****
Michinoku Pro 6/19/09 - Fujita "Jr." Hayato vs. Great Sasuke It was solid, I suppose. Sasuke can still move very well for his age. **3/4
Michinoku Pro 9/5/09 - Fujita "Jr." Hayato vs. Ou Kobushi This is my first taste of Kobushi after hearing about him for a couple years. I just haven't ventured too far into the indy scene in Japan outside of BattlARTS, Zero1-MAX, Dragon Gate, BJW, Kensuke Office and DDT. But I was very impressed. There was one point where I cringed at one of Kobushi's kicks to Hayato's head. Kobushi did a sweet ass swinging German Suplex Hold. First time I've ever seen that move. Damn great match. I'm going to start watching more MPro for these two. Hayato is the future of indy wrestling in Japan. It will be only a matter of time before he makes it to one of the big three. ***1/2

Thanks to Cozy, and yes, a fantastic match, loved the match, especially the finish and exchanges between Nakamura and Sugiura...
Misawa was great as usual, with what he had...

Another fantastic outing from these guys, which set up the Ladder War at 'Man Up!'

BJW 7/12/09 - Construction Site Deathmatch: Yuko Miyamoto vs. Masashi Takeda (re-watch) Such an amazing match still. I think I might have even liked it better this time. ****
NOAH 9/27/09 - Jr. Participation League: Akhihiko Ito vs. Genba Hirayanagi GENBA is hilarious. He used a low blow to pick up the win and offered a handshake post-match. Needless to say, Ito wasn't having it. *3/4
NOAH 9/27/09 - Jr. Participation League: Atsushi Aoki vs. NOSAWA Rongai Blah. *1/4
NOAH 12/6/09 - Kenta Kobashi, Tamon Honda and Akihiko Ito vs. Bison Smith, Chris Hero and Eddie Edwards I loved how Hero immediately chopped Kobashi at the beginning of the match and when Kobashi was going to attack Hero, Bison jumped him from behind. Ito and Edwards have loads of chemistry. I'd like to see a singles match eventually. **1/2
NOAH 12/6/09 - Naomichi Marufuji Return Match: Naomichi Marufuji vs. Atsushi Aoki Maru was on in this match. Pretty good return match for Marufuji. The last few minutes were especially spectacular. ***
NOAH 12/6/09 - Go Shiozaki vs. Takashi Sugiura AWESOME MATCH. Definitely will go in my top 20 matches of the year. ****1/4
ROH on HDNet 12/20/09 - Chris Hero vs. Kyle O'Reilly O'Reilly looked good, surprisingly. Hero made him look even better. Much better than I expected. *3/4
ROH on HDNet 12/20/09 - Necro Butcher vs. Joey Ryan This match was quite boring but worked well. Wasn't a bad match or anything. *1/2
ROH on HDNet 12/20/09 - Colt Cabana vs. Claudio Castagnoli Okay match here. Very unpredictable. **1/4
NJPW 12/22/09 - Super J-Cup First Round: Gedo vs. Kota Ibushi Gedo bores the **** out of me now days. He was working on Ibushi's head/face/neck for like three minutes and immediately went for an elbow drop to his chest. The finishing stretch saves this match. *
NJPW 12/22/09 - Super J-Cup First Round: Prince Devitt vs. Atsushi Aoki Very fun match from these two. **3/4
NJPW 12/22/09 - Super J-Cup First Round: Koji Kanemoto vs. Fujita "Jr." Hayato What an awesome match. I expected this to be MOTN going into the show and I wasn't let down. Hayato was right up there with Kanemoto. Awesome counters and false finishes. WATCH THIS. ***3/4
NJPW 12/22/09 - Super J-Cup First Round: Jushin Liger vs. Naomichi Marufuji I got about what I expected. Liger obviously isn't in his prime anymore but looked pretty good in the last few minutes. **1/2

- Joe/Punk/Daniels/Gibson at Redemption. Great match. My favorite parts were the Punk/Joe interactions, specifically their first one. Punk locks in a side headlock and screams "AH HA!!!!!!". As soon as he says that, Joe brutally suplexes him on his head. Funny stuff.
- Steenerico vs. Jacobs/Black at Driven 2008. Steenerico finally won the belts in a fantastic match. The last 10 minutes were off the charts.

B-Boy to see if the hype was worth it...DJ Hyde was right saying it's a potential match of the year...especially for CZW

I watched CZW Violent By Design from 6.11.05 today. 2005 was such a great year for CZW. The show is the second half of the IWA-MS double-header and features a Sexxxy Eddy/Ruckus cage match, JC Bailey vs. Nate Webb in a TLC match, and of course the infamous wild and CRAZY brawl between The Tough Crazy Bastards and The H8 Club. I suggest picking this up (along with many other 2005 CZW shows) for only $15 at smartmarkvideo.

Just recently rewatched Ophidian versus Hallowicked from CHIKARA's "Throwing Life's Instructions Away". Such a good match.
