And I mean any version of Nick Fury, original 616 version, Ultimates Samuel L. Jackson version, Garth Ennis' MAX version. The character's just so cool-- he's the ultimate spy, like Marvel's version of Jason Bourne or James Bond. And he's lasted quite a while now and managed to adapt with the times, so why not launch a Nick Fury series? You can even do stories throughout time: World War II, '60s-'70s, present day... the character can go anywhere.
Once people see Samuel L. Jackson as the character in Iron Man 2, I'm sure there'll be a lot more support for a series.
And hell, I'd even volunteer to write it for free.

Isn't that Secret Warriors series kinda him and his new commandos? definetly is, and it's actually quite ing good. with fury realizing that shield was owned by hydra, it makes for an intense and relevant story. if you haven't checked that out patrick, i suggest it. but i definetly hear you...a MAX version of fury would be fantastic. he's always been a great character. wolverine and fury's relationship has great dynamics too, as seen in wolverine origins

I agree as Nick Fury is a completely alter ego to the other comic book stars. But one thing is would Spidey be involved in one of the comics?

I will definitely check that out. Thank you, sir. But one thing is would Spidey be involved in one of the comics? Eventually, he'd have to be. He's Marvel's top dawg, dawg. The coolest thing about Nick Fury is he's been around (in comic continuity time) for something like sixty-seventy years. He's just de-aged from the Super Soldier Serum. That's a TON of stories involving ANYONE from the Marvel timeline at a writer's disposal should he start up a Nick Fury series.

secret warriors has been great so far, but the conspiracy angled book would work better as a weekly or bi-weekly, the month long wait makes it harder to follow as you have to constantly refresh the plot lines, and I read a lot of books so it can get annoying.
