You could argue Elvis, but more people have spent money on MJ than the Beatles. Not an argument of quality, and argument of money. Can you use money really as a standard though? An LP of Elvis in the 50s cost what? 75 cents, to a $20 MJ CD? Elvis and The Beatles would be my top two. MJ could slide into the 3rd spot though I would argue though that more people bought his stuff. Crap, Thriller is still the number 1 album ever. Plus, he sold out massive venues all around the World. Although Elvis did have like half the world watching one of his concerts, I would say MJ is bigger. Plus, his fall from grace really only effected his popularity in the US. China loves him like crazy.

I wonder how many people would attend the funeral if it was open to the public and media.
If it was in Gary, IN, I would for sure try to go. But who knows where they'll bury him.

He is probably bigger than Elvis (probably), but there is NO WAY he is bigger than The Beatles.... As John Lennon once said, "We're bigger than Jesus Christ" haha....

As John Lennon once said, "We're bigger than Jesus Christ" haha.... i'm 16 and for myself and my friends MJ was alot bigger than the beatles. obviously because we have never experinced the beatles like MJ, but still, MJ has made a much bigger impact on myself and the people i know around the same age as me. lol i remember watching a geography video at school about rainforests and the earth song came on....lol everyone was trying to sing it,sounded terrible. such an awesome time.

Earth Song remains my favourite MJ song. He's had countless fantastic songs, including Earth Song, Beat It, Thriller, Will You Be There, Billie Jean, You Are Not Alone etc.
I actually think, as was said about Buddy Holly... music died two days ago.

It's hilarious that if I'd of made a Michael Jackson paedophile joke a week ago, everybody would be laughing along and agreeing - but if I make a Michael Jackson paedophile joke now; I'm the devil. The same with the media, years ago they were condemning him on a daily basis; now he's saint Michael... who never did a thing wrong. Absolute bollocks. You said bollocks. haha.

I wasn't a fan of Michael's before (other than a few songs), but now I want to go out and buy all of his albums. It's pretty sad that everyone treated him like such crap until he died and now everyone acts like he was God.

It's pretty sad that everyone treated him like such crap until he died and now everyone acts like he was God. Exactly. He was treated bad guys... it actually brings a tear to my eyes. Watching that Man in the Mirror tribute on a channel called 4Music over here, had me going. It finally sunk in when I watched that.
