Former TNA wrestler/referee Shane Sewell has apparently joined World Wrestling Entertainment. He reffed a match between Alex Riley and Bo Rotundo at last night's Florida Championship Wrestling television taping in Tampa. FCW usually doesn't use talent on their television shows unless they are under contract to WWE.
Following his release from TNA last month, Sewell returned to the World Wrestling Council promotion in Puerto Rico.

First off, there's no confirmation of anything. Maybe Shane Sewell is signed, mayb e he was just trying out or maybe it was a deal Steve Keirn put together on his own separate from the WWE office.
As for all the talk of WWE and TNA signing each other's talent, there's a huge difference. If WWE signs somebody they treat them like they're any other peon working for them. When TNA signs WWE talent it's a huge markout moment for them. They always roll out the red carpet for them at the expense of everybody else.

TNA has backed themselves into a corner with this. in an attempt to be competittive they nearly burried they're talent. However, to Tna's credit, they are trying for name recognition to get themselves noticed and most of the WWE talent TNA has signed is more than just peon's. Most of these guys deserve the push outta the gate...ala Raven, Rhyno, Kurt, Christian, Bookert. You dont see Jethro Holiday doin anything do ya?

The problem is, TNA can't just sign name recognition and expect it to pass on to their brand. They needed to earn it themselves, and pass it onto their wrestlers like WWE did. In order to earn name recognition, they needed to separate themselves from WWE as much as possible and sign WWE guys very sparingly... Christian here, Kurt Angle there. Unfortunately they couldn't keep their hand out of the cookie jar and are now in WWE's shadow. They're stuck where they are in many aspects, and will remain until they're no longer dependant on WWE's hand me downs and product model.

The Ripper nails it.
TNA comes off like they can't create their own stars.
As far as Jethro Holiday goes? They're just waiting for Lance Cade to show up.
