ECW and Pro Wrestling NOAH Present:
Spartan X!
A Night of Tribute to Mistuharu Misawa
Live! From Tokyo, Japan[/color]
|IMitsuharu Msiawa's Induction into the ECW Hall of Fame:|
The show opens up with Kenta Kobashi, Akira Taue and Jun Akiyama in the ring. The lights dim and green lights come on. Kobashi is holding a photo of Misawa and in the center. The crowd is told to silence. They toll the bell ten times for a fallen hero. The lights slowly fade out..
As the lights come back up, Akiyama and Taue go outside the ring and grab the Hall Of Fame award. A slit is cut out on the picture, and is were the award is placed.. Kobashi raises the picture up, as Misawa chants begin to ring out.. Kobashi places the picture on an easel, before the three friends of Misawa walk out of the ring, leaving the picture in the center of the ring..

Misawa was the kind of veteran who wanted to give the young guys their due. He deserved that last reign from December 10, 2006 - March 1, 2008, despite what some people say. On March 1, 2008, Misawa would pass that very torch that Jumbo gave to him in 1990 to Takeshi Morishima. He would step down. He was not a glory hog like some veterans. He knew what was best for business and let the young guys do their thing. Many of us knew that would be his last big run. But none of his knew it would end like this. Now, the torch of his life and career has burned out and that is what really hurts.
Arigato, Misawa-san.

Misawa was such a great influence on not only me but so many of the wrestlers today.. He is absolutely one of the best wrestlers ever, on a moments notice he could have a 5 Star match or match of the year so easily.. 24 Five star matches, 5 matches of the years, noone else can say that.. Not Flair, not Hogan, not Michaels, noone.. He was someone that stood up for everything he believed in.. He went and started his own promotion after the passing of Jumbo Tsrurta, because Miss Baba fired Jumbo because of his bad health.. He definitely took friends over business which is something that is never done in wrestling.. He was such a great guy, even with how famous and great at his craft he was.. He will truly be missed, and wrestling won’t be the same without him..
