Commentators: Todd Grisham & Joey Styles
(the show opens with a video package recapping this past Sunday’s Pay-Per-View Night of Champions where Chris Benoit had a successful ECW Championship defense against Finlay and where Batista and Big Show had a confrontation as the ECW theme music hits and a pyrotechnic display goes off as we start ECW live from Portland, OR in the Rose Garden)
Styles: Welcome everyone to another episode of the most extreme form of wrestling out there, ECW coming to you live from the Rose Garden in Portland, OR. Do we have a show for you guys tonight, tell them Todd!
Grisham: That’s right Joey we have…….
Just then, RAW Superstar Batista’s music hits as he makes a special appearance in the land of extreme.
Batista: I bet a lot of you didn’t think I would be here tonight, huh? Ya see, the past few weeks I have been calling ECW garbage and saying that it shouldn’t even be on TV. I have been called out many times by this one “superstar” saying that ECW is way better than RAW. He said this past Sunday that he would be at RAW, but what happened? There was no Big Show! So, I, being the bigger man, came to the land of “extreme” to find that gorilla. So, BIG SHOW!!! GET OUT HERE!!
Then, the music of the Big Show hit (the crowd starts to cheer)
Big Show: First of all, sorry I couldn’t make it last night on RAW, I was too busy celebrating my championship win this past Sunday like you would have done if you won, but of course you lost. So, you think you’re better than me, huh (Batista nods)? Well, I’m the one with gold around my waist, where’s yours at?
Batista: Listen, this isn’t about gold, it’s whether or not I can beat your ass (fans start to cheer)!
Big Show: Woah woah woah there, Dave. I’m not here to fight you, I’m here to watch you. Ya see, I was just backstage with ECW GM Teddy Long and talking about how you think you can just show up and leave tonight, but that’s not going to work (fans start to cheer). Since you’re here, you’re going to wrestle, and your opponent for tonight is………. SANDMAN (fans being to cheer again louder than before)!!! Good luck, you’ll need it!
Styles: WHAT?! This is really gonna happen?! That’s awesome! I can’t wait to see that later tonight!
Grisham: Neither can I, Joey, but coming up next, it’s gonna be something that RVD pleaded with Teddy Long for and he is gonna get it, that’s right, Rob Van Dam vs. Davari with Hassan barred from ringside. Get ready, cause it’s next.

The former ECW Champion will be going for the ECW TV Championship next week on ECW!
ROB VAN DAM VS. DAVARI[/u]
RVD didn’t waste anytime in the match by going over and tackling Davari as soon as he got in. He got on top of Davari and just went at him with punch after punch. Davari found a way out and then Davari turned around and got taken down with a kick to the head from Van Dam. RVD rolled out of the ring to grab the ring bell and he brought it back into the ring. RVD went “ding ding ding” with the bell and then nailed Davari with it in the head and busted him wide open. Then RVD threw Davari into the corner and hit the 3 Shoulder Thrusts and then came right back at Davari with a Running Kick to the head. Davari came walking out and then RVD hit a Jumping Leg Drop on Davari.
RVD rolled back out of the ring and grabbed more weapons, he grabbed the steel steps and a steel chair. Van Dam rolled back in and went right at Davari with the steel steps and caught him with the corner right in the head. Davari’s head was just laying on the steps and RVD hit a Spinning Leg Drop on the manager of Hassan. Van Damn signaled that it was over and then picked up the chair and stalked Davari. Van Dam then threw the chair at Davari and hit the Vandaminator and then went to the top rope and before he jumped for the 5-Star Frog Splash, he stopped and went back outside the ring and got a table. RVD came back in the ring and set up the table and but Davari on top. Then RVD jumped and hit the 5-Star Frog Splash for the win.
WINNER: ROB VAN DAM[/u]
After the match, Van Dam got on the mic and talked to the crowd about the current ECW TV Championship feud with Hassan.
RVD: You know, I’ve been around for a good while, and I have never met someone that I have wanted to beat the crap out of more until I met our current ECW TV Champion, Muhammad Hassan (fans start to boo)! This guy thinks he’s all high and mighty just because he is the ECW TV Champ. Listen, kid, you have to do much more things to impress everyone! Look around you, you are probably the worst wrestler in the whole business today! The only reason why you beat me is because you had this little rat here (points to Davari) to have your back. Well, it looks like you’re in trouble, Hassan, cause I think I just got rid of Davari for a good while. I’m not finished with you yet, whether you have the strap or not, I’m still going to kick your ass (fans go crazy)!
Grisham: What strong words from the former ECW TV Champion, he is on a mission to destroy Hassan.
Styles: He’s done a good job, I mean he just took out Hassan’s only ally. What else can he do? Let’s send it backstage to Josh Matthews with an interview with Hardcore Holly.
Matthews: Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m Josh Matthews and my guest at this time is ECW newcomer, Hardcore Holly (fans start to cheer). Now, Holly, how does it feel to be in ECW?
Holly: Well, it feels great to be back in the WWE, especially on ECW, where people are not afraid to use weapons, which if you know me, I love to do.
Matthews: Yes, yes we all know about that. What is your main mission coming to ECW? I bet it’s to get the ECW Championship, huh?
Holly: You’re kind of right. I do want to be champ, but I wanna make sure everyone knows that I’m not messing around. And if anyone thinks they can beat me, I’d love to see them try.
Styles: We gotta go to a commercial break, but when we come back, Hardcore Holly debuts on ECW.
(Commercial)
KEVIN THRON VS. HARDCORE HOLLY[/u]
Holly came running to the ring with a steel chair in hand and came in and swung at Thorn, Thorn ducked and Holly came with another swing, Kevin ducked again. Thorn finally kicked Holly in the gut and hit a DDT onto the chair. Thorn got on top of Holly and went at it with punches on the former WWE Tag Team Champion. Thorn picked him up and then hit an Uppercut on Holly. Kevin got behind him and went for a Back Suplex, but Hardcore Holly flipped behind the vampire wrestler and laid chop after chop on Thorn’s chest. They finally made it to the ropes and Holly threw him off them and then connected with a beautiful Dropkick to take Kevin down. Hardcore then grabbed the chair and wedged it in the ropes. He picked up Thorn and tossed him head first into the chair. Thorn turned around and got taken down with another chop. Holly went for the cover, but only got a 2 count.
Holly rolled out of the ring and went into the crowd to look for a weapon. A fan who had crouched lent one to Holly to beat Thorn with. Holly climbed back on the apron and thanked the fan, but when he turned around to get back in the ring, Thorn nailed Holly in the head with the chair and sent him falling on to the outside. Thorn went to the top rope with the chair. Thorn leaped from the top rope with the chair in front of him and hit a Splash on Holly on the outside. Both men were down for a good while and then fans in the Rose Garden clapping to show their appreciation. Thorn finally got up and picked Holly up with him. He took Holly over to the barricade and smashed his face on it a few times. Thorn then threw Holly shoulder first into the steel steps. Thorn taunted to the crowd as we went to a commercial break.
(Commercial)
We return to the action with Hardcore Holly getting choked in the middle of the ring by Thorn. Holly starts to fight back by getting up and getting out of the Choke Hold. Holly then hoists Thorn up and hits a Brainbuster Suplex and both men are down again. Both men finally got up and Holly went at him with punches and then tossed him off the ropes and hit a Big Back Body Drop. Holly then taunted to the crowd and signaled that it was over. Holly picked up Thorn for the Alabama Slam, but Thorn reversed it and hit a Piledriver and went for the cover, but he only got a 2 count. Thorn couldn’t believe it and then fans were going nuts (chanting *HOLLY*).
Kevin then picked up Holly for a Crucifix Powerbomb and went to toss him over the ropes but Holly stopped him and slid off Kevin’s back. Holly then spun Thorn around and hit a Powerslam and went for the cover, but still only got a 2 count. Holly then signaled once again for the Alabama Slam. Holly picked him up and spun him around and right before he threw him down, Thorn slid off once again and hit a Low Blow on Holly and set him up for the Original Sin and hit it for the win.
WINNER: KEVIN THORN[/u]
After the match, Thorn celebrated but didn’t know Holly was already back up. Thorn turned around and got hit right in the face with the crutch Holly brought into the ring and then got hit with the Alabama Slam.
Styles: What a match that was, too bad Holly lost in his debut, but still a very good match.
Grisham: I’d say so, good all the way through. I don’t think these two are done in the ring yet, well what…..
Todd was cut off by Muhammad Hassan backstage talking about his match coming up next.
Hassan: RVD, you think you scare me by saying you’re going to hunt me down? You think you scared me by taking out Davari? Well, I got news for you, I’m not even quivering (fans start to boo)! You see, I have myself a weapon of mass destruction, and as soon as you come to attack me, it will be unleashed on you. Just giving you forewarning.
Grisham: What could he be talking about, a weapon of mass destruction?
Styles: I don’t know, but coming up next, it’s the ECW TV Championship, Hassan defends against Heidenreich.

ECW TV Championship Match
Muhammad Hassan (c) vs. Heidenreich[/u]
The match started with Hassan smashing Heidenreich in the face with the championship. Hassan then threw off his turban and hopped on top of Heidenreich and just went at him with punched to the face, one after another. Then Heidenreich finally got up only to get taken down with a Closeline from the champion. Hassan then jumped out of the ring and grabbed a chair and screamed “I’m finishing this right now!!”. Hassan jumped back into the ring and took a swing at Heidenreich and he ducked and then Heidenreich kept punching him until he got him to the ropes,, and then Heidenreich threw Hassan across the ropes and hit a Big Back Body Drop. Hassan rolled to the outside, and Heidenreich followed him out there as well.
Heidenreich picked up Hassan and hit a DDT on the outside. Heidenreich then taunted to the fans (fans started to cheer). He then picked up Hassan and Guerilla Pressed and dropped him on the barricade so he hung over it. Heidenreich then grabbed the ECW TV Championship and he marched around the ring with it as if he was the champion already. He came back towards Hassan and then got taken down with a Low Blow. Hassan then took Heidenreich and tossed him into the barricade. He started to get up, but Hassan grabbed him and smashed his face off the barricade and then threw him into the side of the ring back first.
Hassan threw Heidenreich back into the ring and hit him in the back with the chair to keep him down. Hassan then hit his STO and went for the cover but only got a two count! Hassan could not believe it. Hassan went for it again, but Heidenreich got out of it and hit a Suplex on the champion from Detroit. Heidenreich then took Hassan and tossed him across the ropes once again and threw him up in the air and caught him and hit a Powerslam (fans went nuts). Heidenreich then set up for his finisher, Black Hole Slam, but before he could, a bloodied Davari came running down to the ring. Davari jumped on the apron. Heidenreich kicked him in the gut and Suplexed Davari forward down to the mats. Heidenreich turned around and got hit with yet another Low Blow and got hit with another STF right on the chair and Hassan picks up the win.
WINNER AND STILL ECW TV CHAMPION: MUHAMMAD HASSAN[/u]
After the match, Muhammad Hassan started to attack Heidenreich with the chair until RVD came running down to the ring and springboarded off the ropes and tackled Hassan to the ground and went at him with lefts and rights. RVD got up and got taken down with a Big Boot from Muhammad Hassan’s weapon of mass destruction, the Punjabi Giant, The Great Khali. Khali grabbed RVD and hit a Double Handed Chokeslam. Khali then lifted RVD over his head and tossed him to the ground. He then helped Hassan up and Hassan got on the mic.
Hassan: You see, RVD, I told you, you attack me, I will unleash a weapon of mass destruction, and he is, The Great Khali!!!
Styles: Oh my god! The Great Khali is back and he is with the ECW TV Champion, Muhammad Hassan. It’s looking like Hassan will never lose the championship. This is insane!!
Grisham: It is kind of crazy, Joey, but coming up next, we have a live interview with ECW Champion, Chris Benoit, via satellite.
Styles: Welcome back fans as we are joined by our ECW Champion who could not be with us this week, he is coming off a successful title defense this past Sunday, the ECW Champion, Chris Benoit (fans start to cheer when they see him on the titantron). First, Chris, how are you feeling after that hellacious match this past Sunday at Night of Champion?
Benoit: You know, I am a little banged up and Finlay took me to the limit. He is one tough SOB and he almost beat me, but almost isn’t close enough.
Grisham: Chris, we see that you have a relationship with the former ECW Champion, Joey Mercury, tell us, how that came about?
Benoit: Well, Joey came to me when I first came here, while he was still champion, and he asked me to guide him in a way that would lead him to a brighter future, so I couldn’t resist helping him, and I think he has done a damn good job so far, and on the first ever WWE Superstars, Joey Mercury will be taking on Tommy Dreamer.
Styles: One final question, when should we expect you back, champ?
Benoit:Oh don’t worry, I’ll be there next week, so be prepared, the champ is coming back!
Grisham: Good to hear from you, Chris, can’t wait to see you next week!
Benoit: Thanks guys, I can’t wait to get back in the ring.
We head backstage to see Batista getting ready for his match coming up next with Sandman when Booker T, Mr. Money In The Bank, interrupted Batista while he was on his way to the ring.
Batista: You got a problem, Book?
Booker T: Yeah, I do. You’ve been saying that ECW is garbage every passing week, but you have forgotten something, I AM ON ECW!!! You forget about me, Dave?
Batista: Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot the last important thing you did was winning the Money In The Bank, oh yeah, that was a few months ago, yeah, way to go.
Booker T: I guess you don’t think that’s important, do ya? You think it’s just something small?
Batista: Well, it doesn’t seem like you have done anything important since winning the case, have you?
Booker T: You know, Dave, Show is right, you don’t think anything good of ECW (Batista shakes his head)? Well, I’m not the one who lost to the small fry Mysterio, now was I (fans start cheering because Mysterio’s name was mentioned)? Batista, you best get to steppin, cause I’ll be watching to see you get yo ass beat again, suckah!!!!
The two came nose to nose and we went to commercial.

Styles: Welcome back to ECW fans, we’ve had a great night so far and we are heading towards the main event from the Rose Garden.
Grisham: And what a great main event it’s going to be, RAW’s Animal, Batista will be taking on the ECW Original, Sandman. Let’s get underway with our main event.
BATISTA VS. SANDMAN[/u]
The match started while Batista was taunting to the crowd. He turned around and got a kendo stick broke over his head by Sandman. Batista just stood there and smiled and then tackles Sandman to the ground and kept hitting him in the face, punch after punch. Batista then waited for Sandman to get up and then took him down with a Closeline (fans started to cheer). Batista rolled outside of the ring and grabbed a chair. Batista rolled back in and brought the chair over his head, but he did not notice that Sandman had another kendo stick with him and Sandman cracked him in the back of the knee with the kendo stick to take down The Animal, only one problem, Batista did not fall. Sandman then grabbed Batista and DDT’d him onto the chair.
Sandman then continued to stomp on Batista and then he took Batista’s ankle and stuck it into the chair and then hit a Leg Drop onto the chair while Batista’s ankle still in the chair trying to break it. Sandman then hooked Batista’s leg but he only got a 2 count. A fan then threw in a cooking sheet and Sandman picked it up and smashed it over Batista’s head (fans started to cheer again). Sandman then picked up the kendo stick and signified that the match was soon to be over. He picked up Batista and went for the Wine Russian Legsweep, but Batista elbowed Sandman in the gut and then lifted Sandman up for a Stalling Suplex, both men were down for a good while. Finally, Batista pulled himself up and then grabbed Sandman and hit a Powerslam and then crawled to the outside once again.
Batista went under the ring and grabbed a piece of canvas covered in barbed wire. Batista set it up in the corner and stocked Sandman as he too got to his feet. He then ran at him and went for a Spear but Sandman hopped over him and Batista went straight into the barbed wire. Sandman then grabbed the canvas and laid it on the ground and hit the White Russian Legsweep onto the barbed wire and covered Batista, but he only got a 2 count!!! He couldn’t believe it. Sandman went to the top rope and taunted to the crowd once again and went for the Rolling Rock, but Batista moved and Sandman went back first into barbed wire! The bloodied Animal got up and grabbed Sandman and hit a Spinebuster right into the barbed wire!! Batista went to the ropes and shook them and went “thumbs up, thumbs down”. Batista then stalled and grabbed a berlap sack he left sitting next to the steps and poured it out and we saw that it was thumbtacks!! Batista then lifted Sandman up and hit the Batista Bomb in the tacks and got the pin!
WINNER: BATISTA[/u]
Grisham: What a match we just witnessed! That was hardcore to the max! I didn’t know Batista had it in him!
Styles: Damn, that’s a hard loss to ECW, but a good match we did see. Yet again, another amazing edition of ECW we just saw here in Portland, OR. That’s all we got for you guys this week, for Todd Grisham, I’m Joey Styles, g’night everybody!
The show closed with Big Show at the top of the ramp staring down Batista shaking his head after The Animal’s victory.

(Commercial)
