I'm going to Cleveland, and I was going to get one of the two to read in the car there. I know they are both very good, but I wanted to get a survey on which of the two was preferred more.

V never really did it for me. I realize it's good, I just don't care.

Watchmen, its really really well done. And its pretty long so it should keep you occupied.

V for Vendetta.
It's an incredible read, and a bit deeper than Watchmen. Shorter, too.

watchmen. the dynamics of the characters, and how it's a basis of the common superhuman template completely turned on it's head, are genius.

I have not read V for Vendetta yet, so obvisouly Watchmen gets my vote. You really get into the characters in Watchmen.

I would go with V for Vendetta. I still have a hard time distinguishing which one I like more, but since V was what I read first I went with that.

V for Vendetta was pretty cool. Watchmen is great, though. So much depth to it.

Watchmen by a mile and a half. I've read both, researched both, and seen both movies tons of times, but Watchmen is completly superior in my mind.

V for vendetta sucked. Is very anti christian. Anti American. If that your then you might like it.
Watchmen is a thousand times better.

When people like you make comments like this, I kiss the ground and thank your Christian God that I'm an agnostic Canadian. Please don't feed the trolls. But on topic, this is a very tough one to me. Both books are absolutely fantastic. I think the side stories in V are better, but over all I think I would go with Watchmen. I will say though, V is more disconcerting. Especially the times they show close ups of his face. It's always at crazy times to have a close up of a smiling face. But that's part of the greatness. How would you compare either to League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? I've only read the first two volumes, but I think it's just as brilliant. It's less political in a lot of way, but still brilliant fiction.

Oh I really like League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen too-great read......seriously tough times in those books. I also love the League War Of The Worlds ending.....seriously chilling.Dorian Gray as also great in these books
I also love what Moore has done with Ireland in these books.....Dublin beng haunted by Molly Malone,Numerous faeries locations from Crock Of Gold,Oscar Wildes Selfish Heart is included but most brilliantly......Ms Mathers house is the portal to a hellish alternate reality Ireland.....spliced from the Third Policeman and House on the Borderland.
like I say excellence.
I would still say I like V the best.followed by league then Watchmen......but its a slim slim margin
