You are the angriest man alive.
Burton's 'Batman' was pure cheese, it was campy good fun but it's nowhere close to being on the level of TDK.
It has nothing to do with age and has everything to do with it being a much better film.

I voted for Batman '89. It was better than all the Batman movies altogether. I noticed that the majority of who voted for "The Dark Knight" are around the ages of 24 or younger. The don't really know what they are talking about. They were 4 years old, or not even a twinkle in mommy and daddy's eyes; when Batman came out. Of course they are going to vote for TDK; because its what they know, and it was popular. They aren't going to vote for Batman, because it's old and its not "state of the art, or cool to admit that it may actually be better. lol, You can give a better argument than that, to state why you like 89 best. You can't just play the "age" or "popular" card. Come back to the thread in about 10 minutes with a proper post displaying why you like 89 best.

It wasn't "Pure Cheese" back then. Just do your homework and look at the facts; it has everything to do with age!

The first 2 batman's for me. I was lucky enough to see them both in movie theatre. And those movies seemed so much larger than life to me. To me returns was cast perfectly.

Batman Begins Batman Mask Of The Phantasm The Dark Knight Batman Returns Batman Batman Forever
Batman And Robin doesn't even deserve a mention. Altho personally i thought Schwartznegger was pretty good as Mr Freeze.

You got owned twice and you should have listened to what they had to say. 2. I know plenty of people aged 30+ who agree with many of the "lowly" twenty somethings who say the 89 Batman is campy, does NOT age well, and is an overall snooze-fest. I personally don't mind Batman 89. I grew up LOVING it. But to me there is no way it comes close to measuring up to the Dark Knight. Just like your dick doesn't measure up to mine. I fart on your ageist theory and pre-cum on your nonpareil ignorance.

The Dark Knight and it isn't even close... Honestly, this is the only situation where I'd say you're insane to say otherwise.
I honestly think people are so anti-TDK hype that they've lost their minds. God forbid someone actually like something different. idk, the thread title is "Best Batman Film" not "favorite Batman film"... I voted for Batman '89. It was better than all the Batman movies altogether. I noticed that the majority of who voted for "The Dark Knight" are around the ages of 24 or younger. You were supposed to vote on what was listed. Your animated wasnt listed because it wasn't a live action movie, and it went straight to DVD. are you serious? you're just voting Batman 89 because it was what you knew and was popular when you were younger. and it's not like people can't rent the damn movie and have an opinion...

Anyways, let's not bother too much with the whole deal.

That's exactly why I voted for the Dark Knight. It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the movies whatsoever. It was simply because The Dark Knight was newer. It really doesn't matter how much I used to love Batman '89 as a kid. That's completely irrelevant and we'll forget that even happened. In fact,I probably shouldn't have even said anything. Simply put, I chose The Dark Knight because it came out a year ago. You certainly called me on my bluff. What a clever man you are.

I guess I'm the odd man out because I voted for Batman Begins. I can see a legitimate argument for that to be honest. I don't agree, but I can understand that. My brother in law, hated HATED the dark knight and loved Begins.

The Dark Knight. Not because it's the "cool thing to pick" but because it really is the best Batman film followed very closely by Batman Begins. Those two films followed the Batman mythos so well. I love Batman 89' and Batman Returns (although over the years I've seen the flaws in Returns, but it doesn't make it any less fun to watch) and even Batman Forever. However the biggest thing that Begins and The Dark Knight have over the original 4 are Batman's alliance with Gordon and of course most importantly...Batman doesn't kill.
