Surely I can't be the only one who finds him  ing ridiculous these days? Don't get me wrong, his in-ring stuff is still as good as it ever was... but I'll be damned if I can ever take anyone seriously when he's around them in a promo. MEM can be cutting the most serious promo ever, yet Booker will be stood there in some ricockulous-looking pose, with some overly dramatic look on his face, and it just kills it for me. And some of the voices he does? Really? It was funny as King Booker, because it made sense, but nowadays... what the hell? I remember reading a while back a quote from Booker saying something to the effect of "Hollywood execs are always watching, so I like to broaden my acting range a bit just in case". That's not the exact quote at all, but whatever. What is he hoping to land a role in exactly?  Sorry, I just see the guy as a joke these days, and he kills any credibility of any segment he's in. |

Actaully I find his antics during promos funny and cool. Don't see how you couldn't like them, would you want a boring and stale Booker?

But i do agree that he ruins promos e.g.

I have never been a big Booker fan, but then again, i wan't a WCW viewer... the only time i really found him entertaining was with Goldust, as a King Booker... right now, he is just annoying and the differing accents don't help, like you said... it made sense as King Booker, but now, he just seems to be a clusterf*ck of a wrestler

Booker T is the most overrated wrestler of all time. He is so full of himself. His best years was 1995-1997, then he packed it in from then. If you want to see him at his best watch when he teamed with Sting against the LOD. But he has said in interviews that he is in the top "3" best wrestlers of this decade. He considers himself on the same level as Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. Sorry dude, but Booker you screwed up you debut against Stone Cold and almost killed him.

I honestly think that the whole MEM thing has run it's course. I think it's all just gotten to be ridiculous. But I do agree that Booker is the most annoying of the group. It just seems like he's lost most of the time. And he went from the "King Booker" gimmick to using that African accent to now just acting like he needs medication.

booker was actually good when he was harlem heat or when he and benoit fought for the wcw tv belt. what i dont get is why he talks like a idiot and after he hits someone why does he pause and look at his hand......

I, honestly, think everything Booker T does nowadays is hilarious. His entrance, poses, voices and personalities, are all just hilarious. Lighten up.
