Im "planning" on watching the omen later on today
Im a fan of remakes - dont know about this one though because i just watched the teaser trailer with him on the swing just staring at the camera, and i was seriously creeped out, nearly on the verge of tears and turning the video off
Which is better the original omen or the remake
plus if I end up watching the remake, would it fit in with the original sequels if you get what i mean

Original by faaaaaaaar. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
EDIT: The first one that is, I agree in saying the sequels were horrible.

I'll pick remake just to even it out but both were stupid IMO and the sequels...god...

The original has to win, the remake just offered nothing new. Fair play the sequels to the original get a bit cheesy but still over the three films its a cracking story

Is it predictable, like you know when scary parts are gonna happen?

The Original.
now the remake has some bright spots and additional parts but nearly everything about the original is scarier.
The Nanny Mrs Balock is way creepier in the original.like I say the original is better and the sense of foreboding is much better here.
Id watch them both though make up your own mind.give the originals sequels a miss though

It just depends on your preference being as though they are essentially the same movie. They did very little to make it stand out as it's own entity. I personally prefer the original. Being as though the camera work is dated, it gives it a darker and creepier atmosphere.

The original is one of my favorite Horror movies ever. The remake, not so much.

The original BY FAR! The kid and maid are much creepier. The atmosphere is much darker.
As fa as sequels... I thought The Omen II was great. The Omen III however destroyed the series. And I won't even comment on Part IV.

I have to agree. I love part II. 3 is just...ok. 4 is a direct to video remake that replaces Damien with a girl.

The original, as the remake was just unnecessary.

The original, but the remake was really good too.

The remake only had the 6/6/06 gimmick going for it. Go with the original.

I haven't seen the original and I am not really a fan of foreign films. Though, with that said, I do think the original DID come up with the idea and the basis for which the remake used, plus i've heard good things. Not to mention the remake wasn't great.
