While I'm usually not that big of a stats guy, Flacco's and Ryan's were pretty close. Ryan had like 450 more passing yards, 2 additional TD's, 1 less INT, and a 7 point higher QB rating. They weren't THAT close.

Matt Ryan is the love child of Jesus and Joe Monatana.

I would laugh my ass off if the cowboys punter hits the huge screen and it falls dor the top of the stadium. I dont like that rookie qbs start, i mean matt ryan and Joe Flacco were freaks of nature, Look at most other qbs that there career gets ruined because they started their first year. Look at Alex Smith, Jamarcus Russel, Matt Leinart, Kyle Boller, rex grossman, David Carr, Joey Harrington etc...... They all got rushed into the starter spot, and now they are backups and Free agents(with the exception of Russel) I usually agree with you. Most highly touted rookie QBs land with awful teams. Look at the list of guys you named.....Smith with SF, Russell in Oak, Boller and the Ravens, Grossman and the Bears, Carr and Texans, Harrington with the Lions. Also hall of famers have flopped in their rookie seasons like Elway and the Broncos or Peyton with the Colts. HOWEVER, this is more of a unique situation with Mark Sanchez. Sanchez aint going to a team that stinks. In fact, he is going to a team that 2 years ago made the playoffs and last year finished 9-7. A team with a fantastic defense and a fantastic offensive line and a stellar running game. If Sanchez was with the Lions, I would say he should sit. No sense having him get killed when they have Daunte there to get killed. Protect the future. But for the Jets....the future is now.

Exactly why the NFL needs to step in. They are already planning to. They are going to make the rule that the clock stops when it hits the scoreboard. Which is fine. I just sit back and laugh at everybody who thinks it's a big deal. We're talking about something that will at most happen a few times every season. Furthermore, this isn't the first time a professional sport team has had "house rules". Look at Tropicana Field in Tampa for example: craphappens, guys. Everyone needs to just calm the down. The NFL really doesn't have a leg to stand on anyway about the situation. They gave the Cowboys a list of parameters the stadium board needed to reach...and they were followed/exceeded. They'll probably end up eating half the cost to raise the damn thing anyway.

Look at Tropicana Field in Tampa for example: Those were baseball ground rules you cited. It's not unusual at all for baseball parks to have different ground rules, in fact it's a given pretty much. I'm told that the ball that rolled under the door at Citi Field that Victorino failed to pick up would've been a ground rule double if it had done the same thing in Citizens Bank. Baseball is weird that way. I'm not aware of a football stadium having specific ground rules though.

Well the Eagles still have some problems to work on, i.e. 3rd Down nd our horrible conversion rate. But at least we are scoring, which was quite a problem in the first 2 pre-season games.

Ill give you the reason that they were bad last year was the brett was the qb. Sanchez has no expierence and has failed to imoress me in the preseason. With the lack a good wide recieving core and a not so impressive backfield, throwing him in the starting spot without showing that he can make all the throws and adjust to the speed of the NFL, He shouldnt start,

Thomas Jones who led the AFC in rushing last year or Leon Washington who is threat in the backfield both recieving and rushing?

Thomas Jones is getting older and he is very brittle.
Washington doesnt impress me. he isnt exactly Brian Westbrook or Reggie Bush, if he was that productive they would use him more.

You're right. Leon Washington is not like them. He doesn't spend half of his field time on the injury cart. (No offense to them, I love Westbrook and Bush is beastly)
Sanchez will do fine. He probably won't be the league MVP or anything NEAR that, but he's not really expected to be God in cleets this season anyways...

Broncos suspend WR Brandon Marshall indefinetly for conduct detrimental to the team.
The NFL rules that if the ball hits the cowboys scoreboard the down will be replayed.

Well, if you got yourself in a position to be depending on either Marshall or Orton, you should have known what you were getting into.

They should just trade him already. he doesnt want to be in denver. hes asked for a trade and he doesnt want to play for them Brett Farve is causing a cluster in Minnesota, I laughed so hard when Jared Allen said that he thought a schism was an std. and that he admittted that the team is stupid.
