The match really does nothing for me. Call me an old man, but falling off of things does not constitute as a great match, or great storytelling. All that match did was make a star out of a stuntman and spoiled an entire generation of fans to sit on their hands in anticipation of the next big spot, instead of appreciating storytelling at it's purist, which is what pro wrestling is supposed to be Storytelling not stunt-shows.

Also, speaking of the Michaels/Taker HIAC, that one is pretty damn underrated Yeah man, one of the four total wwf matches in the whole decade of the 90's to be given a 5star by meltzer. None in the 2000's. So underrated

Ever since Flair called him "a glorified stuntman" all his little smarks have been using it as if it is original. Foley was great in the ring when he first entered the WWF. He had some of the most memorable feuds of the 90's and he did amazing promos. ..Sure, when he got older the injuries started stacking up...his body wouldn't recover as quickly as it used to...and everytime he did a promo in his last years with the WWE it was 15 minutes of him kissing ass and trying to sell one of his books. But I still hate how people don't appreciate the guys dedication. He LITERALLY night after night put his body on the line. I love the HIAC match. It still gives me goosebumps. I know everyone talks about "telling a story in the ring"...but there were only a handful of guys who could do that properly. Macho Man, Steamboat, Bret Hart, Piper, Austin, HBK to name a few. Who the hell tells a story in the ring nowadays? Jericho, HBK, Taker, Edge, Orton....who else?

Exactly, people wanna talk about Jeff Hardy not deserving the "hate" and putting his body on the line but Foley really deserves more respect for all he's done.

Yes I am a fan of Flair's and yes I adopted his description of Foley being a stuntman, as my own. However I did so because Foley fit the description. I respect the fact that he put his body on the line to entertain fans, but I despise how his style of wrestling helped turn fans into bump fiends that sit on their hands and chant boring during wrestling bouts until they see the super duper spotty spot, or chair shot.
Foley's memorable feuds of the 90's involved him falling off of things, pulling a disgusting sock out of his crotch and having a food fight during a halftime show. Funny stuff, even funnier how him becoming WWE champion totally devalued the title.
I think the lable stuntman fit's Foley as well as his trusty red flannel. He is after all the man whose "Wrestlemania Moment" is being speared through a flaming table. OH MY GOD!!!
