Also approved: 5 rounds for certain non-title fights.

I actually think this is good for MMA. I mean, the Johny Hendricks/Amir Sadollah fight is a perfect example of where the replay feature could be implemented.
And 5 rounds for some non-title fights? AWESOME.

All around good news here. It's sad that they have to clarify the whole greasing thing, but whatever they can do to get BJ Penn to shut the up, I'm all for.

This is actually really terrible for the sport.
For starters, all replays are going to do is take money out of fighters' pockets due to inept officiating. It is the job of the official to accurately judge when a fighter can no longer defend his or herself as well as catch any illegal blows. What this means is there's a very likely chance that fighters will begin missing out on win bonuses due to referees' mistakes, which is just ultimately not right. This is also going to be problematic when 20 minutes of a $50.00 PPV is taken up by commission officials looking at replays and rendering a decision.
The greasing thing isn't really substantial, ala there's not a whole lot changed there. And again, it's the job of the commission representatives on hand to make sure fighters are not greased. If anything, why not implement a rule for a sanctioned official to check fighters between rounds for any foreign substance? Oh, that's right, that would actually solve the problem. My bad.
The non-title five rounds thing isn't a terrible call or anything but it does sort of take away from the significance of a title fight when, theoretically, any fight can have championship rounds.

The replay could be good and should be used very often it should stop fights ending like the Johnson/Burns fight did last year with the eye poke KO.

I really like the 5 Round Rule. Some fights really could have benefitted from going 5 rounds. Henderson/Franklin is one example. I'd like to see Couture/Nogueira go 5 as well. The instant replay is a good idea, but we'll have to see how its actually executed first. It might be more of a hassle than anything.
