I usually dont go against Couture...but this one tells me Nogueira will come out on point after being embarassed in his last outing.

Poor Maia. Doesn't sound like a dominating loss, but still disappointing. Very happy for Mardquart though. I wonder if they'll have him sit out until Hendo/Silva 2 goes down, or if they'll have him take on Hendo to see who should really get a second chance. Could be an exciting fight, but it'd be pretty unfair to both men.
And Rosholt just submitted Leben.

YES now everyone can get off Maias cock!
Man im depressed about lebens loss but rust after 9 months plays a factor. Doubtful but I hope he makes a rebound in the future and gets a good run again...

What? It was a terrible mistake on Maia's part to leave himself open like that, but it certainly does not take away from the real skill he has.

For real. I know Jake is one hell of a wrestler, but I recall how abysmal his strike defense was in the past. I really expected Leben to blast him into orbit in this fight.

I never said it takes anything away from his skill but alot of people thought Maia was the one to beat Silva but if Marquardt can pic his mistake out in 21 seconds he has no chance aginst silva...

Maybe. Marquardt couldn't even beat Silva either, so what makes anyone think Maia can?

Maybe. Marquardt couldn't even beat Silva either, so what makes anyone think Maia can? I was just saying before htis fight I saw people saying that if Maia can execute his ground game on silva he can beat him. But if he cant get Marquardt down in time before getting blasted then he deffinatly cant do it to silva...

I like Maia and all, but I always felt he needed to really get his striking defense tightened up before he could hang with Silva the way people were claiming. He always seemed a bit loopy and open with his strikes/stance.
And just as soon as I put this, Jardine goes to sleep. Silva's seem to be his kryptonite.
