Very pleased, I mean i like nog. More than randy anyway it's just i dont like the whole OH WOW factor with couture. Sure he is 46 and i'm prob out of my depth coming in here and saying this. But the heart and desire only gets you so far. He was beaten tonight. In an very good performance from Nog

Great fight, you gotta give Randy credit for never quitting. I can't picture a better performance from a 46 year old.

Wow "I only got 1 right on the main card. I really wanted Leben to win and same with Couture, but I cant complain since Thiago Silva and Nog both won and they are some of my faves.

I like both Nog and Couture so going into it I wasn't going to be upset if either won but while watching the fight I was pulling for Couture. I think he put up a really good fight against a great fighter in Nog so I think Randy may fight again. I'm also sad to see Jardine lost too .

To be blunt:
I'm disappointed Maia got KTFO, but take nothing away from the sportsmanship of Marquardt for not throwing more.
Nogueira/Couture is possibly the FOTY so far. This is added to the list of "Fights a new UFC fan must see".
Thiago Silva beating Jardine can only be wonders for Silva. Give him one more big win before a shot at the LHW belt.
Todd Dufee with a new KO record, which I think is 6, not 7 seconds.
Evan Dunham/Marcus Aurelio was an awesome fight... both fighters trading big blows and taking them.
Rosholt/Leben was good, the arm triangle is an awesome submission and Leben had no chance. Great fight for the first two rounds of trading.
Vera/Soszynski was an average fight.

Just watched the post-fight conference... and nobody asked how Ed Herman was although on Wikipedia (take that as you will), it's reported he suffered a total knee blowout.
Other than that, Dana said he needed to figure out what was happening at MW, whether he was doing Marquardt/Henderson before Silva or Marquardt after Hendo/Silva.
Couture just signed a 28 month/6 fight deal, and Dana doesn't care if Randy wants to drop down to 205 or stop at HW because whatever he chooses will happen.
Very very good card, really pleased with most of the outcomes. Gutted about Maia getting KTFO and the fact that I only got the last two main card fights but overall really pleased with the card. Looking forward to Franklin/Belfort in four weeks.

Herman should not have been allowed to come out for round 2. It was obvious that his knee was messed up, and it was made worse when he was allowed to continue. His corner, the doctor, the damn ref, SOMEBODY should have stopped him.

I too was surprised they let Herman come back out for round 2. Overall, an exciting night of fights.

Couture-Nogueira was a great high-level MMA fight. Both guys are so experienced at fighting excellent opponents that it was fun watching them counter each other... especially Couture, who seemed to be finished at least three times.
A fighter of average experience (and less guts) would have been finished by that D'Arce choke, or via strikes, and would not have been able to pull those reversals. This was like heavyweight MMA 101. This is why people flock to train with Nog and Couture.
Good stuff!
