As these things generally tend to go, the WFWF Logo flashes on the screen followed by one would assume some sort of video package hyping main event. I'm sure with your extensive imagination you will be able to conjure up some sort of mental image of this rather than me try and impose my will by, say, writing it myself. Anyway, we cut to a live feed of the TD Banknorth Garden where an array of pyrotechnics is set ablaze to start WFWF Survival of the Fittest. Following the display we're brought to ringside with Matt Steel and Matthew Werner, who is noticeably bruised and bandaged on and around his nose.Matthew Werner: Welcome everyone to WFWF Survival of the Fittest! What a show we have tonight, but first as always I'm Matthew Werner. Matt Steel: And I'm Matt Steel. Tonight's a big night, Werner. DGX will finally be the one to take the title out of the grubby, WFWF hands of Thunder and place them in his firm but smooth and never sweaty palms. Matthew Werner: That was kind of gay but alright. Before we start the show tonight, however, we do have one bit of unfortunate news. Matt Steel: WFWF Hall of Famer and current WFWF Tag Team Champion Alex Sean was rushed to the hospital over the weekend. His condition is stable however there is no guarantee as to when or even if he will make it back to the WFWF. Matthew Werner: We were.. Ahem unable to speak with him or his representatives but we do wish Alex Sean, on behalf of the WFWF a speedy recovery. Matt Steel: You tried to... Matthew Werner: Not a word, Steel... not a word. There's a brief moment of awkwardness between the two, followed by...Matt Steel: ... Right. Anyway I suppose we should get on with our first match of the evening. Bennett, Spider, Stone, Wolfe, and Scott are all locking for a chance to gain entry to the Survival of the Fittest match. The ref sounds the bell. Scott and Wolfe join forces and takes down Stone with a double team clothesline. Bennett runs at Spider looking for a spear, but all he got was a boot to the face. Spider then throws Bennett over the ropes for the first elimination.
Eliminated: Ace Bennett
While that was going on, Scott turned on Wolf and threw him over the ropes and Wolf lands hard on the outside.
Eliminated: Brandon Wolfe
Three men remain as Damon appears to be injured in someway holding his stomach in pain over in the corner while Scott and Spider are doing all the fighting. The ref gets back from both of the men and looks back at Damon who is hurting, then looks back at Spider and Scott grappling each other on the ropes. The ref waits for either to go over and thats when Damon miraculously kips back up and the crowd starts to boo heavily as Damon dumps both men over the ropes and landing on the hard surface. The ref sounds the bell and raises Damon Stone's first pay-per-view victory.
Eliminated: Spider and Mitchell Scott
Winner Via Sole Survivor: Damon Stone
The lights in the arena fade to black as the beginning of 'Bang Bang You're Dead' begins to play. The letters 'M.O.D' flash on the screen until the song reaches it's main part and there is a large explosion. The lights come back on and Master of Destruction enters the arena. He looks at the crowd with some distain. He shakes his head and begins walking to the ring, occasionally stopping to taunt some fans. He walks up the stairs and climbs through the ropes before climbing upon two out of the four turnbuckles posing with his arms crossed. He then stands leaning on one corner waiting for his opponent.
The lights go down and the stage turns red as "The Clincher" begins. As the singer screams before the main riff, blinding white lights shoot out from the stage. Once the main riff kicks off the lights switch back and forth between red and white with each hit of the snare drum. Shields steps onto the stage and begins his walk to the ring. All the while he shoots evil looks at the crowd, who are booing him with all their might. Shields reaches ringside, and climbs the steel steps up to the apron. He climbs to the second turnbuckle, reaches out his arms, and looks towards the sky. This, of course, gets nothing but a negative reaction from the crowd. He climbs back down to the apron and steps through the ropes. He then goes to the opposite corner and leans against the turnbuckle.
Shields and MOD appear to be ready and the the ref calls for the bell. Shields walks up to MOD and appears to be talking trash as MOD is taking it all in. MOD nods his head and then gives Shields a sick southpaw right in the mush. Shields drops down to one knee and gives MOD a opportunity to run back and then deliver onto him the Spinning Wheel Kick Snapmare. MOD goes for the cover
1.....2......kickout.
Shields kicks out with plenty of room to spare. MOD picks Shields up and whips him into the ropes and Shields comes calling back with a Cross-body into a pin
1.......2....kickout.
Shields continues the offense with a side headlock. Shields looks to have a nice grip on things but MOD takes his free arm and starts driving elbows into Shields face. Shields breaks the hold and rubs his face in pain. This allows MOD to get back up to a base. Shields still somewhat groggy, feels froggy and runs at MOD, but he catches Shields by the arm and drops him down into a sick crowbar type of arm bar. MOD bridges his legs and locks in the hold very nicely. Shields screams out in pain and tries to get to the ropes one way or another. The ref is getting close to Shields and MOD and that gives Shields a idea. Shields spit in the eyes of the ref. The ref falls back right on his ass trying to get the spit out of my eyes. Shields taps out to the hold, but the ref doesnt sound the bell. MOD eventually lets go and walks to the ref, but Shields gives him a lowblow. MOD now is dropped to his knees, the ref has spittle in his eyes, and Shields has a bummed arm.
Shields walks over to MOD calling for the end as he grabs MOD by the head and calls for the Claim to Fame, but MOD kicks Shields square in the nuts. Shields leans down and MOD grabs both of Shields arm and locks them in. MOD scoops him up and then drives him down with the Definite Destruction. The ref is now aware and counts Shields down and MOD is moving on.
Yukio is entering the arena for tonight event and Thunder is there to greet him.
Yukio: At least someone is here to great me. What, you couldnt get Tammy McTwirlstein to do it. Eh Thunder. Thunder: You cease to impress me Blaze, even when I know you are not going to make it tonight. Hell, you are not even going to wrestle tonight. Yukio: Is that a fact ? Thunder: No, thats a promise. Yukio: Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news boss, but I will in fact be competing tonight. Thunder: No your not. Your not medically cleared. You would be a liability to not only me, but the company. Yukio: That would be the case, but not tonight and not ever. You See Thunder, while Trace has been where the hell ever and you have been somewhat busy with trying to take down not only me, but DGX as well. I decided to go up to Maine to visit the Shadow Conglomerate... Thunder: You did not. Yukio: I sure did and we came to a understanding and here is the proof to show for it. Yukio pulls out a three page thick dossier and hands it to Thunder.
Yukio: Those pieces of papers right there clearly states that I'm not only medically cleared tonight, but that it states that I am injured due to your attack and that I can wrestle injured, without suing the WFWF in anyway. You are not on the hook, Trace, the conglomerate, no one but myself. You have a nice day Thunder, I have a glass jar to bust over nerO's head.
Yukio walks past Thunder and gives him a pat on the back.
Thunder: You can have the last laugh tonight, but just you wait Blaze. Just you wait......
‘Mother er Of The Year’ plays out over the loud speaker, there is a pause as darkness falls over the arena before Williams appears at the entrance ramp, the lights begin flickering quickly on and off, Williams begins to walk down the ramp to a chorus of boos from the crowd here at Survival of the Fittest, Williams screams in the face of a little kid at ringside reducing him to tears which gets a sick smile from Williams, he climbs up the steps and onto the apron and gets into the ring as flames rise up from all for corners, a sick smile appears on his face as the flames die down leaving Williams in the ring clutching a microphone
Matthew Werner: Oh god he’s got a microphone, you know what that means.
Matt Steel: Wake me up when he’s finished.
David lifts it preparing to speak but is drowned by a chorus of boos
Williams: SHUT UP!
Matthew Werner: Yawn.
Williams has angry look on his face as he turns towards the crowd
Williams: When I was in the WFWF I worked my butt off for you idiots I went into the ring week in week out and put my body on the line and what do I get in return? I get you sick bastards encouraging the sick and twisted mind of some of the most unstable wrestlers in this company, and after I return following a brutal injury which was largely your fault all you can do is boo me?
Matthew Werner: I think he’s done Matt.
Matt Steel: Whaa?
Williams begins to show signs of a smile
Williams: But I have learnt that it’s not worth caring about what thousands of fat, stupid American slobs think of you, in fact how on earth is having these imbeciles supporting you a good thing?
Matthew Werner: Sorry, spoke to soon.
David shrugs as he is greeted by hostile chanting from the WFWF fans
Williams: And while I have been out of action I also worked something else out, I am bigger than this dump of a promotion, the WFWF is full of nobodies and nothings with the occasional talented star like me being overlooked and under used but I have decided that I am going to do something about it I am going to bring this shitty little company down from the inside, I am bigger than the WFWF and what better way to show that then by destroying and dissecting the owner of this craphole ‘Trace De”
The lights dim down as ‘Dance with the Devil’ plays over the sound system cutting out William’s ramblings.
Matthew Werner: Ok he’s done now.
Flames shoot out from the ramp as Trace Demon steps through the fire without being burnt.
Matt Steel: I still don’t know how he does that…
A red glow erupts around the arena as Demon walks towards the ring with a sick grin on his face as he enters the ring, flames shooting up from the turnbuckles, eventually switching off as Demon touches one of the turnbuckles, Demon then turns to face Williams locking eyes with him.
Matthew Werner: Well this is the first time these two have been in the ring for a long time and both look raring to go.
Matt Steel: We haven’t seen Demon since he fell off the cage at Battleground
Matthew Werner: And we haven’t seen Williams since he got owned by Reckless at Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
After a few seconds Williams slapped Demon round the face which was met only by a short burst of laughter from Demon before he switched back to a more angered face
Matt Steel:That was a slap in the face of Demon right there
Matthew Werner: Certainly was…
DING DING DING
The two lock up in the center of the ring, Demon used his strength to back David into the corner, quickly nailing Williams with a knee to the gut which left an obviously ring rusty Williams gasping for air, Demon noticing a weakness managed to push Williams in the corner and nail Williams with a bunch of shots to the gut.
Matthew Werner: Demon has complete control of this match right from the word go…
Matt Steel: What you mean he’s getting owned again?
Matthew Werner: Pretty Much.
Demon walked to the opposite side of the ring and ran at Williams but Dave managed to lift his leg up and kick Demon in the gut, Williams then nailed Demon with a right hand followed by a left hand shot, but Demon managed to block the next shot and looking as good as ever managed to push Williams to the ground where Williams looked like he couldn’t figure out how on earth to take control of the match.
Matthew Werner: This is getting pretty pathetic.
Matt Steel: I’m actually quite enjoying it.
Williams begin to rises to his feet but Demon keeps control nailing a quick snap suplex, Demon keeps up the pressure quickly locking in a headlock, but Williams manages to work his way up to his knees and propels Demon over his own shoulders and onto the matt. Williams quickly takes his chance nailing demon with a couple of stomps to the leg before locking in the figure four leg lock, Demon is writhing around in pain trying to turn and reach the ropes but Williams battles to keep control of the move Demon begins to hold his legs in pain as Williams screams at Demon to tap out.
Matthew Werner: Williams might just snatch this one early on.
Matt Stone: Meh, this match is getting boring.
Mathew Werner: What does ‘Meh’ mean anyway.
Matt Steel: Well you know it means Meh.
Matthew Werner: You can’t just use the word your describing to describe it, it’s not right.
Matt Steel: Well in fairness it’s not a real word.
Matthew Werner: Meh, I guess.
Williams eventually relinquishes control of the hold when he has inflicted enough damage to the leg of Demon. Demon quickly rolls out of the ring as Williams argues with a couple of fans at ringside from inside the ring, Demon looks under the ring pulling out a chair from under the ring and taking it into the ring as David is still facing his back to Demon arguing with a fan, the ref snatches the chair away from Demon, the ref turns his back as Williams turns around, David is met with a kick to the family jewels just before the referee turns back having got the chair out of the ring, Williams has a look of uncontrollable agony on his face, Demon smiles at his work.
Matthew Werner: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! He’s not having kids now.
Matt Steel: Look at him, in fairness I don’t think he was going to have kids in the first place, he’s as ugly as you.
Matthew Werner:
Demon shoves Williams onto his back. He takes his time locking in the Sharpshooter on Williams, he is in visible pain, screaming as he tries to reach the ropes which are close to him but agonizingly too far away. Just as Williams gets close to the ropes Demon pulls him back away from the ropes, Williams smashes the mat with his fist in frustration as Demon laughs toying with Williams. Williams knows that he can’t escape the hold as he tries to ride through the pain getting little encouragement from the fans, Williams realizes that he has to get to the ropes as Demon continues to apply the pressure.
Matthew Werner: Demon is ripping Williams to shreds.
Matt Steel This is funny.
David manages to get himself a finger tip away from the ropes and managed to jump despite the wait of Demon to get his hand to the ropes, Demon refused to let go of the hold until the very last second he legally could until he would be disqualified.
Matthew Werner: Demon is destroying Williams.
Demon retreated to the corner waiting for Williams to get up to his feet, David uses the ropes to get to his feet before stumbling around the ring like a drunk, Dave turned straight into a spear that absolutely flattened Williams, Demon taunted Williams for a bit before trying to get the pin on a motionless Williams
1…2…NO!
Williams just managed to get his arm up, Demon looked really frustrated for a second before again going for the pin
1…2…NO!
Matthew Werner: Why on earth do wrestlers do that?
Matt Steel: Hmm… Do What?
Matthew Werner: You weren’t even watching where you?
Williams again got his arm up right at the last second
Matt Steel: Not really, what was it anyway.
1…2…NO!
Matthew Werner I was just wondering why on earth a wrestler would go for a pin when they had tried to pin there opponent a second before hand and they kicked out?
This time Williams managed to kick out, the power from the legs of David managing to fling Demon away, Williams rolled to the outside as the ref began to count him out
Matt Steel: Don’t ask stupid questions.
1… 2… 3… 4
David began to regain stamina as he argued with Demon, the crowd chanting abuse at him
Matthew Werner: We should probably starting watching the wrestling again.
5… 6… 7… 8… 9…
David slid into the ring and then rolled straight back out having broken up the count
Matt Stone: What an entertaining show these two are putting on tonight .
1… Matthew Werner: You where being sarcastic right Matt? 2… Matt Steel Yeah 3… Matthew Werner: Oh right, well it’s pretty hard to detect sarcasm on the internet… 4… Matt Steel: But we aren’t on the internet Matthew. 5… Matthew Werner: Shut up Matt. 6… Matt Steel: I’m just saying that was a pretty stupid comment 7… 8… 9…
Again David slid in only to roll back out but this time Demon followed him to the outside of the ring Demon chased Williams around the out side as the ref reached a count of six, Williams slid back into the ring followed by a worn out looking Demon getting back into the ring at the count of 8, just as Trace rose to his feet Williams nailed a dropkick to the left leg that he had worked on earlier in the match.
Matthew Werner: Williams has cheated his way into this match.
Williams continued with the attack working on the leg of Demon with a short burst of stomps to the left leg; he followed it up with a Boston Crab which Demon tried to escape from but Williams, just as Demon had to him earlier, didn’t allow Demon to reach the ropes screaming to try and make him tap. But Demon seemed determined that he would not tap out. Williams eventually let go and waited for Demon to get to his feet, Demon stumbled into the path of Williams who nailed a T-Bone Suplex.
Matthew Werner: Oh my god, Williams might actually win this match.
Matt Steel: You know as well as I do that wont happen.
Williams seeing his opportunity climbed to the top rope and signaled he was going for the Beyond Redemption Star Press
Matthew Werner: Why not?
Matt Steel: Because the owner is in the match and wrestling’s scripted, doesn’t take a genius to work it out.
Matthew Werner: You make a good point Matt, but your not meant to tell ‘em that Pro Wrestling’s faked.
Matt Steel: Why not? Because stupid children believe it’s real.
Matthew Werner: Fair point.
Williams went for the Beyond Redemption Star Press but Demon rolled out the way as Williams smashed against the mat, Demon lifted Williams up to his feet as he gasped for air and set him up for the Demonstration of Hell, Demon went for the pin
Matt Steel: Told you so.
1…2…3!
Matthew Werner: Yep, Demon goes through to this years Survival of the Fittest match.
Demon walks down the ramp celebrating his progression to the Survival of the Fittest match.
“Cyanide” by Metallica resonates as Reckless makes his way out of the back and down the ramp.
Keri Thames: On his way to the ring.....RECKLESS!
Reckless gets to the ring and rolls in, twisting his wrists and getting ready as “Revelation” by Symphony X resonates through the arena. The High Horror runs down to the ring, Keri can't even get the announcement off as the bell sounds.
Reckless and Horror tie up instantly. Horror gets Reckless in a headlock, but Reckless stomps on Horror's boot and elbows him in the gut, breaking the hold quickly. Horror stumbles back and gets a haymaker to the jaw from Reckless. Reckless slaps Horror in the face and gets a grin on his face. Horror turns his head and covers his face up. Reckless walks to where Horror's head has turned to. Reckless bends and tries to look into Horror's eyes, taunting him. Horror hauls off and blasts Reckless dead in the forehead, Reckless tumbling down like a stack of bricks. Horror steps on Reckless's gut and puts all his weight on that foot, Reckless's eyes bulging. Horror gets his foot off and lifts Reckless up, Irish Whiping him into the turnbuckle. Horror charges and lifts a boot, but Reckless evades and Horror's leg gets caught up in the rope. Reckless takes advantage of Horror's positioning and bounces the rope up and down, driving the rope the last place Horror needs at the moment. Reckless jumps and hits a side hook kick on Horror's skull, Horror falling off the ropes and into the ring. Reckless rolls Horror onto his stomach and starts kicking him in the back and ribs, laughing maniacally the entire time. Reckless throws a few knees too. Reckless gets onto Horror's back and pulls his head up by his hair and punches Horror in the face and side of his head. The ref counts to four, then Reckless dismounts. He starts picking Horror up. Once Horror is on his feet, Reckless kicks Horror in the stomach and drops him with a DDT. Reckless covers the big man.
1......2......
The High Horror rolls a shoulder up at two!
Matt Steel: See that, Werner? Horror can't even kick out of the first freaking pinfall attempt. He can barely roll his shoulder.
Matthew Werner: Let's see you take the beating Horror's taken the last few weeks and see if you can kick out.
Reckless is pounding Horror with a flurry of punches and elbows. Again, the ref has to pull Reckless off of Horror. He yells that if Reckless doesn't stand back and let Horror up, he will be disqualified. Reckless reluctantly obliges and the ref goes to Horror. A couple moments pass, and Horror finally shows life. He grabs onto the bottom rope and starts to pull himself up. Horror is barely to his feet when Reckless charges, delivering a flying knee to the chin of Horror, sending him stumbling into the corner. Reckless goes to the second rope and starts punching Horror in the face again. The crowd is intensly booing Reckless. After ten punches, Reckless jumps off and Horror slumps into the bottom part of the turnbuckle. Reckless picks Horror up and lifts him up to the top turnbuckle. Reckless locks Horror in for the superplex. Reckless attempts, but Horror has his legs locked. Horror manages to lift Reckless up and throw him off the turnbuckle, Reckless doing a bellyflop on the canvas. Reckless rolls onto his back and Horror leaps off of the ropes and drives an elbow right into the cold heart of Reckless. The crowd gets really behind Horror as both men are down, the ref counting.
1............2...........3...........4...........5...........6............7............8................9.........
Horror and Reckless get to their feet with each others help, really. Reckless throws a hard punch to Horror's jaw. Horror stumbles back, then delivers a punch of his own to Reckless's jaw. Reckless punches. Horror punches. Horror punches again and again. He tries to Irish Whip Reckless, but Reckless ends up Irish Whiping Horror. Horror rebounds off of the ropes and Reckless bends over, in hopes to send Horror flying. When Horror gets to Reckless, Horror leaps over Reckless, mule kicks Reckless in the back of the knee and grabs his neck, dropping him with the combination neckbreaker.
Matthew Werner: Woah! Neat!
Matt Steel: You're such a little kid, Werner. Come on, Reckless! Get up and kick Horror's butt!
Matthew Werner: ...and I'm the kid?
Horror lifts up Reckless from the mat and clenches Reckless's throat with his hand. Horror hauls Reckless up and drops him violently with a chokeslam. The crowd is cheering, and Horror grins. He walks over to the turnbuckle and ascends it. He points to the crowd quickly and moonsaults off, crashing down right on top of Reckless. He stays on for the cover.
1.....2.....3!
Keri Thames: Here is your winner and the advancer to the Survival of the Fittest match...THE HIGH HORROR!
Horror stands up and raises his hand in victory. He then rolls out of the ring and goes to keri and gets her microphone.
Horror: Reckless. So it was written, and so it came to pass.
Horror gives Keri the microphone back and walks up the ramp to the back with the crowd cheering his name.
Calvin Lee stands in the ring adjusting his wrist tape waiting for Tempest to come down and after a few moments nothing happens. The ref calls for the bell and raises Calvin's hand in the air. Calvin pulls his hand down, exits the ring, and appears either very annoyed or very pissed.
Winner Via No-Show, Calvin Lee
The four men stand in the center of the ring, staring one another down. No words are exchanged, just cold looks. As soon as the bell sounds, the four men go on the attack. Michaels and Ashton exchanging blows while O‘Deeves tackles Kronic to the outside. Once outside, O‘Deeves roughly shoves Kronic into the barricade back-first. In the ring, Michaels and Ashton are brawling, each man trying to gain an advantage over the other. Ashton rakes the eyes of Michaels out of desperation then sends him into the turnbuckle. He comes rushing towards Michaels, but gets met with a boot to the face. The Movie Man comes out of the corner, knocking Aaron Ashton down with a flying clothesline. Michaels quickly brings Ashton to his feet and tosses him off for the Irish Whip. Ashton bounces off the ropes and gets his head knocked off by a huge dropkick from The Movie Man. Michaels covers Ashton for the pin.
…1/color]…
Ashton kicks out before “2“. Before Michaels can continue his assault, Ashton rolls to his corner and tags in Jon O‘Deeves. O‘Deeves runs towards Michaels, but gets knocked down by a back elbow. O‘Deeves is quick to get up, but Michaels kicks him in the gut then quickly whips him over with a jumping Hurracanrana. After the maneuver, Michaels tags in Kronic who quickly climbs up the ropes to the top. As O‘Deeves makes it to his feet, Kronic comes off the ropes with a missile dropkick, knocking O‘Deeves back down. O‘Deeves then rolls out of the ring to avoid anymore assault from Kronic. Kronic slides under the ropes to follow him. He gets a hold of O‘Deeves, but is clotheslined from behind by Ashton. O‘Deeves then hit’s a snap suplex on Kronic on the outside. Kronic grabs his back in pain as O‘Deeves lifts him up then tosses him back into the ring. As soon as O‘Deeves gets in, he tags Ashton. Ashton immediately goes for the pin. … 1… … 2… Frustrated, Ashton picks up Kronic then sends him right back down with a hard clothesline. With Kronic down, Ashton locks in a half-boston crab. He pulls Kronic‘s leg back as far as he can, really putting on the pain. Kronic reaches out to try and get the ropes but he isn‘t close enough. Ashton continues to apply more pressure to the hold as Kronic tries to make it to the ropes. Ashton releases the hold before Kronic can get the ropes and begins to hit a few stiff kicks to Kronic‘s legs. Ashton then tags in O‘Deeves, who picks up Kronic then lifts him up on his shoulder. O‘Deeves goes to Powerslam Kronic, but Kronic slides off O‘Deeves and lands behind him then pushes him into the nearest turnbuckle. Kronic then makes it over to his partner and tags in The Movie Man. Johnny Michaels rushes in, taking O‘Deeves down with a quick Neckbreaker. Ashton then runs in and Michaels kicks him in the mid-section. Michaels then locks a front face lock on Ashton and falls on his back, executing a perfect DDT. O‘Deeves is now back up to this feet and goes for a running big boot on Michaels, but Michaels ducks out of the way. This brings Kronic in as he hit’s a Dropkick sending O‘Deeves out to the floor. Ashton gets up quickly and rushes towards Kronic, but he gets sent to the outside as well. With both of their opponents on the outside, Kronic and Johnny Michaels rush to the other side, bouncing on the ropes then coming back and performing simultaneously suicide dives to the outside on the Revelation members. The fans cheer for them as Kronic and O‘Deeves begin to brawl once more on the outside. Johnny Michaels lifts Ashton up and tosses him back inside the ring.
In the ring, Michaels brings Ashton to his feet and kicks him in the gut before signaling for the Extended Edition. Michaels hops onto Ashton‘s shoulders as if he‘s going to perform a Hurracanrana, and Ashton quickly executes a Sit-Out Powerbomb he keeps Michaels‘ shoulders down with his legs for the pin.
…1…
…2…
Kronic quickly slides back into the ring to break up the pin. Kronic lifts Ashton up and places him in a front face lock, signaling for the Dead End, but Ashton is quick to spin out of it and hit’s the Ashtonator out of nowhere on Kronic. He gets back to his feet, just in time for Michaels to hop back onto his shoulders for a Hurracanrana, then perfectly executes the Extended Edition. Michaels then goes for the pin.

Winners: Johnny Michaels & Kronic!
nerO sits in the corner waiting for Yukio to appear, or if he will appear. The lights go dim and the cracks of thunder roar over the arena as Miseria Cantare starts to play. nerO rises to his feet and all of a sudden the song cuts off and the lights comes back on as Yukio is standing right behind nerO and nerO doesnt realize this. Yukio has has a glass jar in his hand, then Yukio taps nerO on the shoulder and he turns around to only see Yukio bust a glass jar over his head. nerO falls to the mat but Yukio shakes his head no. Yukio limps out of the ring and grabs a chair. Yukio raises it in the air and then rolls back into the ring. Yukio throws the chair on the ground and walks back over to nerO. Yukio grabs in up and places his head between his legs and lifts him up halfway. Yukio then drives nerO head first on the chair, drilling him down with a piledriver. Yukio shakes his head again and takes his belt off that is holding his pants up. Yukio takes the belt and wraps it around nerO's throat and then locks in a modified Anaconda Cross. nerO is already out from the jar and piledriver, so the ref sounds the bell and Yukio lets go of the hold.
Winner Via Total Knockout, Yukio Blaze
Backstage, Stacey Grey stands along side International Champion, Vanessa.
Stacey Grey: Just moments from now, you'll be facing friend and fellow Axis-stableman, Kurt Burton. You're thoughts on the match.
Vanessa: I'm not in the position to be thoughtful when it comes to this match-
Kurt Burton walks through and takes the mic off Stacey's hand.
Kurt Burton: Not to intrude, Vanessa, but I think you ought to be.
Vanessa: Wayne told me you're weren't gonna be easy on me so you can expect the same from me.
Kurt Burton That's exactly what I want, Vanessa!
Vanessa: So, you have no qualms about taking out your best friend's wife, huh? (Asked sarcastically)
Kurt: I don't. You know more than well just how much I vaule you and Wayne, but the fact of the matter is this, this has been a long time coming. My shot at both the World Heavyweight and the International champion comes tonight and you better be damn sure that I'm doing everything I can to take.
Vanessa: Everything?
Kurt: That is correct, sir! Back when Wayne reigned his hold over the WFWF, did he ever give me a shot at your title? No! He kept me back and in doing so he pulled me into his pathetic little shot as glory by dumping me with another tag team title. Did I want it? No. Did I need it? Can you count how many times I held that damn belt?
Vanessa: I can!
Kurt: Shut up! The fact of the matter is that I deserve, its just unfortunately easy that it had to be like this...
Vanessa: Unfortunately easy? Is that how much I matter to you in this match?
Vanessa draws herself closer to Kurt.
Vanessa: You know what? I'm glad Thunder made this match, because I think I just found just what Wayne and I mean to you. Kurt, coming in tonight, I had no other intention but winning, but now I think I've got more than enough reason to kick your ass!
Kurt scoffs.
Kurt: Kick my ass? Those are tough words for someone as cute as a button.
Kurt pinches Vanessa's cheek. Vanessa follows with a slap, but Kurt catches it, laughing.
Kurt: What are you gonna do, Vanessa? Show me what you're going to do?
Vanessa fires a spit into Kurt's face. Kurt grabs Vanessa by her hair and shoves her against the wall.
Vanessa: Its your move now, Kurt. What are you gonna do about it?
Kurt hesitates in thought for a moment. Tears slowly forming under Vanessa's eyes.
Vanessa: Come on, Kurt... It's your move. You can do whatever you want and hurt me right now, hurt me in way you can't do out there... It's gonna make things so much easier for you.
...What the hell is going on?...
The camera shifts over to the side to find Wayne making a run for Kurt. Wayne grabs Kurt by the collar of his shirt and shoves him off Vanessa. Kurt hits the ground hard and begins to laugh.
Wayne: What's funny?!
Kurt rises.
Kurt: Thunder's getting what he wants and in doing so, I think I just got what I want.
Kurt motions off screen as Wayne turns away to tend to Vanessa. The two exchange words and Vanessa throws her arms around Wayne.
Stacey: Wayne, any thoughts on?
Wayne takes Vanessa and walks away.
Stacey: Survival Of The Fittest 2009, the day the Axis finally died.

The opening chords to With the Fire blares over the speakers as video clips of riots and destruction play on the big screen. Suddenly, a golden waterfall of pyro pours down, as Kurt Burton emerges, carrying his handy lead pipe to the ring, The pyro dies, and Kat saunters up to him, and wraps her leg around him. He brandishes the pipe at the crowd, and bangs his head. They run to the ring, and he steps through the ropes and throws off his shades and jacket. Kat slides underneath his legs, placing her hand on her chin. He raises his pipe once more.
The arena lights fall as shades of red fill the entrance way, as the sound of "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" breaks the silence of the arena. Vanessa quickly motions out of the entrance curtain and quickly makes her way to the ring. Vanessa leaps onto apron and jumps over the ropes and leaps into the ring. The lights slowly return as the sound of "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" slowly fade away.
The referee stands between Kurt and Vanessa as the two circle around the center of the ring. The referee calls for the bell and this match is underway. Kurt and Vanessa motion quickly for a tie-up. Kurt pushes Vanessa into the corner, the referee quickly pries the two apart. Vanessa follows with a chop across Kurt's chest; Kurt follows with a slap across the face. Vanessa follows back with a hard roundhouse across the side of Kurt's face. Kurt stumbles back as Vanessa pushes herself up to the top rope, Veronica leaps and connects to Kurt with a seated senton but Kurt brings her down with a sitdown powerbomb. Kurt motions for the pin... 1... 2.. Vanessa kicks out rolls over and hits Kurt with a drop kick across the face, but Burton blocks and Vanessa take the mat hard. Kurt hooks her leg for another pin... 1... 2.. Vanessa kicks out.
Kurt picks Vanessa by the hair and sends her to the ropes with an Irish whip, but Vanessa counters with an Irish whip of her own. Kurt bounces back and gets smacked with a high legged clothes line. Kurt motions out of the ring quickly as Vanessa takes air with piscado over the top rope, crashing over Kurt Burton. Vanessa grabs Kurt by the hair and sends him into steel security rail and follows up with a running hurricanrana that sends Kurt into the first few rows. A crowd gathers around Kurt as Vanessa comes in with a flying clothesline. Thinking quickly, Kurt pushes a fan before him to the blunt of Vanessa's aerial assault. Vanessa looks down at the fan and attempts to help him to his feet, but Kurt quickly leaps over the fan's back and hits Vanessa with a missile dropkick across the chest, pushing her against the steel of the security rail.
Kurt quickly returns to the ring to avoid the ten count, but facing winning via count out, Kurt slides out the ring, reaches his arm over the security rail, grabs Vanessa by the hair and forcefully pulls her ringside and shoves her back into the ring.
Back inside, Kurt circles around Vanessa. Waiting for her to rise, he slaps her several times across the back of the head. Kurt begins to taunt her, shouting out, "What's the matter? Can't fight me? Do you want to give up? Do you want to quit?". Kurt slaps her across the head again. Looking up at him, Vanessa sprays him with a dose of poison mist across the eyes. Vanessa quickly springboards off the ropes and follows with a leaping karate kick taking Kurt down. Vanessa hooks the leg for the cover... 1... 2... Kurt gets his boot over the bottom rope.
Vanessa grabs, but Kurt rolls her for an inside cradle... 1... 2... Vanessa kicks out and rolls off. Vanessa charges towards Kurt, but Kurt side steps and pushes her into the ropes, Vanessa quickly ascends to the top rope and takes air with a moonsault, but Kurt ducks, leaving Vanessa to land on her feet. Quickly, Kurt charges forward with a clothesline, but Vanessa ducks it and again motions towards the ropes and attempts another seated senton. Kurt once again catches her, but Vanessa pushes herself off Kurt with an inverted somersault and these two turn to each other in a stand-off.
The crowd in the arena rises and gives the two a standing ovation.
Both Kurt and Vanessa begin to circle one another once more; exchanging words. Kurt pushes Vanessa. Vanessa pushes Kurt back. Kurt pushes her again. Vanessa slaps Kurt across the face. Kurt's eyes grow fiercely as slowly approaches Vanessa and... Pokes her in the eye. Veronica stumbles around as Kurt follows with... Another poke to the eye. Vanessa spins before leaping into the air for a fall. Kurt quickly runs to her and places a boot over the mid-section, demanding the referee to call the three count. Kurt flexes his arms about as the referee's hand slaps the mat... 1... 2... 3...
"With The Fire" resounds all over the arena as the referee hands the title to Burton. Kurt slings the belt over his shoulders and helps Vanessa to her feet. The two exchange words and quick laugh before Kurt asks the referee to hand him the mic.
Kurt: Hey Thunder, we did our job! By mercilessly beating each other to our physical limits, Vanessa and I gave you everything you wanted. The Axis may very well be dead, but that isn't going to break the bond I share with Wayne and Vanessa. And sure, there will never be an Axis without you, but like hell it means that the rest of us can't pick up the pieces for ourselves.
Kurt hands the mic to Vanessa.
Vanessa: If there's anything that attracted me to the Phoenix myth, it was knowing what once was can rise from its final ashes and return as a force, an entity, stronger than it ever was. Think about that. You killed the Axis, but in your violent betrayal, what happened? Instead of leaving us to simply get over it, you made us despise you. Not only did our bond remain, but we now found a stronger sense of reason and unity.
Kurt: Maybe, as the Axis, we got selfish in our quest for gold. Holding all those titles... The poop goes right to your head. But its a new time now, because you just gave us the receipt we needed to remember why we got together in the first place.
Kurt hands the mic to the referee as AC/DC's "If You Want Blood (You Got It)" plays all over the arena. Kurt takes Vanessa's arm and holds it up with his.
With the lights dimmed the familiar bells of “Going The Distance” by Bill Conti echo throughout the arena. Matthew Werner: And this is personal. Honor against dishonor. Puff Daddy’s verse begins as the camera stays fixated on the stage, picking up the sounds, the boos and murmurs, which resonate from the crowd. It takes fifty seconds and a more aggressive beat before EBR finally appears, the distinctive voice of the Notorious BIG behind him. He descends down the ramp, his sweat shirt hood over his head as his eyes stay focused on the ring. Loosening up he briefly jogs on the spot and cranks his neck, climbing the ring steps and entering the cage. “Victory” begins to fade out. Matthew Werner: And remember … with the steel cage … there is … no escape! Matt Steel: Unless you climb out or walk out the door. Matthew Werner: Well yeah. That’ll do it. Wins you the match, too. The lights fall as Wolfgang's "Sanctified" rips through the arena. Shades of white sparkle through the darkness as the song kicks into full gear and Wayne drives into the arena on his Harley Davidson Hog. Wayne circles the ring before parking the motorcycle towards the entrance way.
Wayne climbs the steel steps and enters the ring. The cage is closed. Ding! Ding! Ding! Matthew Werner: And we’re underway- Immediately, both EBR and McGurk meet in the middle of the ring, exchanging right hands for several seconds. McGurk is able to get the advantage, brushing EBR’s punch off as he grabs EBR by the head and runs it into the cage. EBR stumbles back, getting nailed with a punch as he goes down. Matthew Werner: For Wayne McGurk this is nothing more than two months worth of frustration. McGurk brings EBR by his head and again throws him face first into the cage. Before he can fall McGurk grabs a handful of hair and repeats the process into a different side of the cage. EBR goes down as McGurk approaches, only to be punched in the testicles. Matt Steel: Now that’s offense! With his opponent clutched over EBR rises by the corner and removes a bottle of Hennessy from his sweat shirt front pocket. Matt Steel: Drink up! It’s a celebration! Taking a quick drink EBR pours the remains onto the canvas. Matthew Werner: Pouring out a little liquor! Again! How deviously symbolic. Matt Steel: The ring is going to smell delicious. Just as McGurk rises from his hunched position, EBR throws the bottle directly at McGurk’s head! Fortunately, McGurk ducks out of the way as the bottle shatters against the top turnbuckle. Matthew Werner: Christ! Matt Steel: Broken glass has gotta be a health risk. Someone should really come in and clean that up. Matthew Werner: They’re in a cage! Matt Steel: Yes … that EBR is a tricky one … Running at McGurk EBR pushes him into the corner with a sharp forearm to the face. After several more EBR roughly shoves him out of the way as he begins to climb the turnbuckle. As he reaches the top he grabs his opponent’s hair and places his knee against the back of his head, in preparation for the Calf-Branding Neckbreaker, with the intent to smash McGurk’s face into the broken glass. Matt Steel: … Tricky like a fox! As he vaults off the corner McGurk desperately pushes himself out of the way, sending EBR landing knee first into the glass! EBR rolls around on the canvas, shards of glass stuck in his leg. Matthew Werner: Gross. Wayne McGurk waits for the injured EBR to rise to his feet, before Powerslamming him into the remaining glass! Matthew Werner: Yuck. Bringing up his opponent McGurk positions EBR for a Jackhammer, but before the move can be performed EBR claws at McGurk’s eyes. This naturally loosens the hold as EBR kicks McGurk in the gut, only to knee-lift him with his glass infected knee in the face! McGurk falls to the mat as EBR sits on the canvas, painfully removing the shards from his body. Matthew Werner: Really gross. As both men bring themselves up EBR is positioned behind McGurk. Thinking momentarily, he runs at McGurk from behind either in preparation for the George Atkinson Lariat or the nearly as infamous Chop Block. As EBR nears it becomes evident he’s looking for the Lariat, which McGurk scouts as he drops to his knees and EBR runs face first into the cage! As he stumbles back he’s lifted above McGurk’s head in a Military Press, as McGurks runs at the cage and vaults EBR face first into it! Matthew Werner: He’s mad as hell! EBR slouches in the corner, busted open as McGurk runs and kicks EBR in the head. Again bringing EBR up, he places his head between his legs and lifts him up in a Crucifix Powerbomb position. He paces back before charging at the steel cage, throwing EBR into it! The cage shakes as EBR roughly lands onto the ropes, which vaults him back into the middle of the ring. Matthew Werner: It looks like the past two months are finally catching up to EBR. Matt Steel: Evidentially. Near the cage door the referee from the outside places it open for McGurk to exit. He looks at the door before looking back at EBR, before finally closing the door himself and re-approaching the middle of the ring. Matthew Werner: Payback can be a real bitch. Matt Steel: Just like my wife. That filthy, filthy whore. Repeating the same steps as before McGurk has EBR up for a Crucifix Powerbomb, and yet again and javelins him into the cage, even harder then the first time! EBR lies on the canvas, clutching at his back while yelling obscenities. Looking for it the third time proves to be overkill however, as EBR is able to slip out from the back. As McGurk turns around, he’s caught with a Running Shoulder to the face. Downing McGurk temporarily EBR begins to climb the top rope, which proves to be much more difficult then previously imagined as he grabs at his lower back in agony. Matthew Werner: If you don’t have good back health you really have nothing. Matt Steel: Much like the love I have for my wife. That filthy, filthy whore. With EBR simply standing on the ring ropes at this point McGurk rises from behind, grabbing EBR off the ropes and driving him into the canvas with the Blister City Slam! Matthew Werner: Again on that injured back! With EBR lying on the canvas in near defeat McGurk slowly begins to walk towards the steel cage door, until miraculously EBR begins to stir. He calls out for McGurk who diverts his attention as he turns back to his opponent, who wipes the blood off his face and smirks. Not wasting any time McGurk reproaches, simplistically turns EBR around, and executes another Blister City Slam! Matt Steel: He’ll fight to the death! Matthew Werner: Yeah, but unfortunately for him that may be near. McGurk again walks to the door after surveying the damage, only to look back just before he exits. EBR somehow finds it in himself to slowly pull himself up with the assistance of the ring ropes, almost falling as he does so. Matthew Werner: How is EBR getting up? Why is EBR getting up? Matt Steel: It’s the heart of a soldier, Matty. Something you’d know nothing about it. McGurk looks at EBR as the former Heavyweight Champion slowly walks to the middle of the ring and simply stands. He spits out blood and attempts to catch his breath, mumbling “I don’t believe you’ve got it in you” until McGurk runs across the ring and Boots EBR in the face! EBR is knocked straight down to the canvas, and lies motionless on his back; evidentially, unconscious. Matthew Werner: … And that looks like it will do it. McGurk grabs at the cage door and roughly opens it, before stepping out as the bell is rung. Ding! Ding! Ding! “Sanctified” begins to play as he slowly walks towards his motorcycle, starts the engine, and begins to drive up the ramp. Matthew Werner: Needless to say, Wayne McGurk has finally got his revenge. As the cage is elevated we’re simply directed to the final image of the match; EBR, on his back and unconscious in the middle of the ring, next to a stained puddle of Hennessy. Matthew Werner: After all those qualifiers, it’s time for the match we’ve all been waiting for, the Survival of the Fittest Match. Matt Steel: Should be a classic. Or a clusterf***. There’s no real middle ground here. Matthew Werner: Just as a refresher, here are the eight men who have qualified: Damon Stone, Master of Destruction, Trace Demon, High Horror, Calvin Lee, Kronic, Yukio Blaze and the new International Champion, Kurt Burton. As the bell sounds it is, understandably, complete chaos. Each wrestler is trying to find someone to take out immediately, hoping to score an early elmination.
Demon and Blaze start battling almost immediately. It quickly spills out onto the floor thanks to a clothesline from Blaze. He sends Demon into the steel steps and charges at him with his bad knee. Demon is able to move out of the way, sending Blaze’s knee crashing right into the steps.
MOD, apparently looking to avenge his previous loss, starts off with Lee. He locks in a figure four after working over his leg. But this doesn’t last long as Lee is able to reverse it, at which point MOD is able to reach the ropes.
Given their past history, it is no surprise that Horror and Kronic go after each other. With the size advantage, Horror takes control early and looks to end it by hitting the Hangman’s Horror. But Kronic puts a stop to that by slipping out the back and hitting a spinning kick.
Stone is aggressively early on against Burton by hitting a belly-to-belly suplex. He then sends him out onto the floor and hits a suicide dive.Matthew Werner: So what part of the match do you want to talk about? Matt Steel: That one. Matthew Werner: You’re not even pointing at anything. Matt Steel: I know. Once Stone is able to reach his feet again, he rolls Burton into the ring but doesn’t go for a cover. Instead, he climbs the top rope to hit a moonsault. Burton moves out of the way, but Stone is able to land on his feet. Still, Burton is more than ready for him and hits Acid Crunch followed by a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: Damon Stone has been eliminated! Matthew Werner: That’s one down, but there’s still a long way to go. Matt Steel: Thanks for clearing that up. Lee has now taken complete control over MOD, thanks to a spinebuster and a DDT. With MOD down, Lee takes to the top rope, although what he is going for isn’t clear. MOD is able to get to his feet quick enough to climbs the turnbuckle himself and hit a superplex. He follows it up with a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .Lee kicks out. Outside the ring, Demon continues to work over Blaze’s injured leg. He rolls him into the ring only to put him in a figure four around the ring post. He then enters the ring himself and signals he’s going to put a figure four on him there. But just as he is about to lock it in, Blaze rolls him up in a small package.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .Kickout by Demon. Once both men reach their feet, Blaze is able to Demon with a superkick out of nowhere. But apparently too much has been taken out of him already as he collapses and is unable to make a cover.
There is, however, someone else who can. Ever since eliminating Stone, Burton has been sitting back and just watching the action. Now he springs into action and covers Demon.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .Demon kicks out. Upon reaching his feet, Burton sees that he now does have a fight on his hands. Blaze has now reached his feet and has his sights set on Burton. The two begin to engage in a little bit of trash talking.Matthew Werner: With the history these two men have, this is gonna get interesting. Matt Steel: One would hope. The talking ends with a punch from Burton. Blaze returns the favor and soon the two men are exchanging right hands back and forth. The fight remains even until Blaze blocks one and hits the Pele kick. Burton drops down to his knees, leaving him in perfect position to be hit by Blaze’s version of the shining wizard. Celebrating taking down Burton, Blaze is not aware of Demon behind him. Demon hits a low blow and rolls up Blaze.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: Yukio Blaze has been eliminated! Just like Blaze moments earlier, Demon falls victim to not paying attention to his surroundings. Horror comes charging at him and sends him into the corner with a big boot. He picks him for the Hangman’s Horror, but Demon slips down into a backslide position and gets him down for a pin.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: High Horror has been eliminated! Matthew Werner: After a flurry of action, we’re down to five guys. Matt Steel: Still too much action to call! Matthew Werner: You just don’t want to do any work. Matt Steel: You know it! With most of the participants down at the moment, the only action really going on involves Kronic and MOD. MOD establishes control fairly quickly and sends Kronic into one of the corners. He sets Kronic up for a superplex but is having his share of trouble with it. Just as he is able to get him up, Demon enters himself into the action by getting MOD, who still has Kronic up for a suplex, onto his shoulders in a position for the electric chair move. As the three men somehow remain in their delicate positions, Burton scales the top rope and comes down on all of them with a missile dropkick.Matthew Werner: Oh my God! That ridiculous move just took everybody in the match out! Matt Steel: You’re wrong. Calvin wasn’t involved at all. They’re all down. He can win the match right now! Lee casually walks over to the bodies of his opponents. He chooses Burton and makes a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Burton kicks out.Matt Steel: That's okay. Just get rid of the rest of them. Unfazed, Lee covers Demon.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Kickout by Demon.Matt Steel: Obviously those two suffered the least amount of punishment. Slightly frustrated, Lee pins Kronic.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Kronic kicks out.Matt Steel: This is getting a little ridiculous. His frustration growing, Lee covers the final one, MOD.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Kickout by MOD.Matt Steel: F***. Having failed to eliminate any of his opponents, Lee goes absolutely ballistic, kicking the ropes and pacing around the ring. After a few seconds, it becomes clear that he needs to direct this anger at the people who are actually in the match. He does so, hitting MOD with a few right hands before following it up with a burning hammer. He makes the cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: Master of Destruction has been eliminated! Matthew Werner: It's about time he didn't fail at eliminating somebody. Matt Steel: I will not hesitate to kick you in the nuts right now. Matthew Werner: Anyway, we're now done to the final four. Burton, Kronic, Demon and Lee. One of these men is going to get the title shot at Scars & Stripes. Who will it be? Matt Steel: The winner. Matthew Werner: That's not even a prediction. Matt Steel: Just watch. I'll be right. The other three have recovered by this point and are back on their feet. Kronic focuses on Lee, who has his back turned to him. He hits a spinning back fist and follows it up by climbing up top and hitting him with a missile dropkick.
Meanwhile, Burton and Demon are going at it for the first time in the match. It starts with an exchange of right hands, but Demon blocks one from Burton and hits a kick to the midsection. He sends Burton into the corner and charges at him with a big boot, but Burton catches it, spins Demon around and hits him with an atomic drop. Demon is stunned and turns around right into a belly to belly suplex.Matthew Werner: Demon was out for revenge against Burton here, but it's not exactly working out that way right now. Matt Steel: That's for sure. Firmly in control, Burton hits a backbreaker and attempts to follow the combo up with a neckbreaker, but Demon gets out and hits a lariat that's strong enough to send Burton down. He tries to hit a German suplex, but Burton lands on his feet. Despite doing that, Demon gives him a kick to the midsection, which allows him to hit the Demonstration of Hell. Demon makes a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: Kurt Burton has been eliminated! Matthew Werner: And now we're down to three. Matt Steel: And Calvin's still there. He can do this! Matthew Werner: For once, try not to be so biased. Matt Steel: Come on. XWA representin'. With Lee and Kronic still going at it one one side of the ring, Demon charges at them, hoping for a double clothesline. But in a brief moment of working together, they backdrop Demon out of the ring and onto the floor.Matthew Werner: That might actually be the best place for him right now. As long as he's out on the floor, he safe from being pinned. Matt Steel: A rare good point by you. Matthew Werner: I make good points all the time. Matt Steel: Yeah, right. Kronic and Lee once again do battle, with Lee locking in a side headlock. Kronic is able to power out, send Lee into the ropes and hit another spinning back fist. He then goes for something off the top rope, but what it is isn't clear, as Lee catches him in midair and hits a spinebuster.
Lee also heads to the top rope and just like Kronic seconds earlier, this proves unsuccessful. Kronic gets to his feet and scales the ropes himself, hitting a superplex. Once more, Kronic climbs the top rope, this time connecting with the Lollipop Drop. He makes a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Lee kicks out.Matthew Werner: Impressive kickout there. The Lollipop Drop would have put away most people. Matt Steel: Now you finally see the light. Say it with me now. Matthew Werner: No. I will not do that. Matt Steel: XWA representin'! Looking to finish off Lee once and for all, Kronic picks him back up, only to be hit out of nowhere with a stunner. Lee rolls on top of him.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Matt Steel: Yeah! Keri Thames: Kronic has been eliminated! Matthew Werner: And now we're down to two. Calvin Lee and Trace Demon. Now that Kronic has been eliminated, Demon finally makes his way back into the ring and takes his time in doing so. Neither man is quick to make the first move and possibly the first mistake. Finally, they lock up.
Lee gets the advantage and pushes Demon into the corner, where instead of giving him a clean break he slaps him in the face. Demon responds with a punch to the face and soon they are both exchanging right hands. Demon gets the better of the exchange and sends Lee into the opposite corner. He charges at him for a spear, but Lee moves, which causes Demon to go shoulder-first into the ringpost. Lee rolls him up.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Demon kicks out. Lee wastes no time, picking up Demon for the burning hammer, but he slips out and hits the Demonstration of Hell, followed by a cover.. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Kickout by Lee.Matthew Werner: You’ve got to wonder if that didn’t put him away, what will? Matt Steel: Nothing! He’s gonna win! Demon attempts it again, but Lee is able to get out of it thanks to a backdrop. Once Demon reaches his feet he gets hit with a stunner. Instead of pinning him, Lee quickly picks him and hits the burning hammer.Matt Steel: That’s it! Nobody ever kicks out of the burning hammer. All he has to do is cover him. Matthew Werner: But he’s not. Lee picks Demon up and places him on his shoulders once again. He walks over to the corner and climbs to the middle rope.Matthew Werner: Come on. Hitting the burning hammer from there could break his neck. Matt Steel: He’s just making a statement. Whatever statement he is trying to make, it doesn’t happen. A few elbows from Demon causes him to lose his grip. Demon is able to jump down and hit a powerbomb. Once Lee is down, he locks in a triangle choke.Matthew Werner: He’s gonna have to tap. Lee doesn’t, but he slowly fades to the point where he appears to be out cold. The referee lifts his arm . . .
It drops once.
It drops a second time.
It drops for a third time.Matt Steel: Damn. Keri Thames: Your winner of the 2009 Survival of the Fittest Match . . . TRACE DEMON!!! Matthew Werner: Great showing by Calvin Lee, but it just wasn’t good enough. Matt Steel: Oh, shut up. Gentle guitar chords of the opening of "Imperium" by Machine Head softly carries on the soundwaves as on the tron we see several at night shots of the Los Angeles skyline and various shots of DGX. As the heavier bass and drums thunders in over the softer guitar there is a large explosion on the stage! Keri Thames: The following match is scheduled for one fall. It is for the WFWF CHAMPIONSHIP! First, the challenger...DGX! As the drums rythmically pick up, DGX appears on the stage with his back to the crowd, his arms raised in a classic double biceps pose. As the first vocals enter the song DGX spins around with a determined but cocky grin on his face and begins to walk with purpose to the ring. Behind him on the stage pyrotechnics shoot from the stage as he almost reaches the base of the aisle before he climbs the stairs and stands on the apron. He pauses there a moment as a single spotlight shines down on DGX cutting the pitch darkness of the arena and suddenly all four corners of the ring erupt in fire pyrotecnics. DGX gets into the ring and walks with a conceited smirk on his face, his arms raised high in victory as his music shuts off.
"Cult of Personality" by Living Colour begins to play. As the cash register sound ends and the music begins, Thunder walks out from behind the curtain, raising his arms up. When he gets to the end of the stage, he throws his hands up in the air, makes the money taunt, and green and gold fireworks rain down on the stage.Keri Thames: And the opponent. He is the WFWF Champion...THUNDER! He reaches the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, taunting the fans. He takes off the title, kisses it and then hands it to the ref. The ref shows DGX the title, then Thunder. The ref hands the title out of the ring to the time keeper then checks DGX and Thunder for weapons.Matt Steel: Thats dispicible. Thinking DGX would be holding a weapon on himself. Matthew Werner: You honestly think DGX wouldn't cheat? Matt, I think you're insane. Matt Steel: Yes I am, but that's beside the point. Why would an upstanding man like DGX, who also is incredibly talented, cheat? Matthew Werner: I agree with the talented part, but upstanding? Not cheat? Ugh... The ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
DGX and Thunder circle the ring, trying to size each other up. DGX puts a hand up and out for a test of strength. Thunder puts his hand out, but both men pull back. They continue circling, and DGX puts his hand out again, as doed Thunder. No one pulls away this time. Thunder and DGX put out their other respective arm and lock fingers. DGX and Thunder are both pushing off each other. Thunder looks to actully be getting the strength advantage. Noticing this, DGX boots Thunder in the stomach and rakes his eyes. DGX then hits a back elbow on Thunder, dropping him. DGX runs off the ropes, and gets monkey flipped by Thunder. DGX lands the flip though, and Thunder rolls up. Thunder throws a stray right hook, but DGX swerves back and easily glides Thunder's punch away. Taking advantage of Thunder leaving himself open, DGX hits Thunder in the side of his ribs with the meat of his fist, like a hammer. DGX locks Thunder in for a suplex, but Thunder fights out. He delivers a sudo chop of sorts to DGX's neck. Thunder lifts DGX and drops him with a beautiful tiger driver. Matthew Werner: Thunder with the Japanese combo. Sweet. Matt Steel: Hon'in gozen manuke. (Loose translation: I'm a dunce.) Matthew Werner: Hey! I didn't know you spoke Japanese! Matt Steel: I'm a man of many masks. Well...except for gas masks. Chaemo made that look foolish. Thunder decides not to cover DGX. He goes all around DGX stomping. Thunder then drops a knee into the temple of DGX. Thunder gets to his feet and clutches his ribs in the spot DGX hit him in earlier. Thunder bouces himself off the ropes and drops a vertical elbow into the sternum of DGX. DGX holds his chest and Thunder gets to his feet, pandering to the crowd. He throws his arms in the air and lets out a yell. DGX takes advantage and gets him into a small package.

Thunder barely kicks out before the final count! Thunder gets to his feet quickly, DGX following suit. Thunder throws a clothesline, but DGX ducks under it and catches Thunder with a high hook kick to the side of the head. Thunder stays up only because of the ropes, and DGX clotheslines Thunder over the ropes and out fo the ring. DGX gets to the apron and springboards himself off off the ropes and lands a pretty moonsault to the outside on Thunder. DGX crawls to the announce table and sits, leaning himself against it, taking a breather. Matt Steel: DGX! XWA REPRESENTIN'! Matthew Werner: THUNDER! Ummm....ya. I got nothin'. DGX smiles as he sees the pain Thunder is in. He pulls himself up using the table and rips the moniters and such off of the table. He pounds a fist on the table and turns to Thunder who punches him in gut. Thunder gets to his feet and bounces DGX's head off of the table, and turns DGX around and throws him into the ring. Thunder rolls himself in too and covers DGX.

DGX kicks out before the three count!
Matt Steel: Atta boy! Matthew Werner: You really need your name changed. Matt Steel: To what? Matthew Werner: Mark. Matt Steel: I don't get it. Matthew Werner: I know, Mark. I know. Thunder puts DGX in a headlock, but DGX wriggles out of it and gets to his feet. Thunder gets to his feet too and kicks DGX in the stomach and then bounces off the ropes. The ref talks to DGX, making sure he's ok, and Thunder comes back and throws a clothesline. DGX ducks and the ref gets clotheslined instead. Thunder turns around leaps in the air, evading DGX's spear. DGX does an about face and is caught with a kick to the jaw by Thunder. He falls flat on his back as Thunder rolls out of the ring and grabs his title. He rolls back in, kisses his title again, and crouches in the corner. DGX gets up after a little while and gets clocked by Thunder and the WFWF Championship.
Matt Steel: That was dirty as all hell. Matthew Werner: Agreed. Thunder covers DGX, but the ref is out cold. Thunder gets up and goes to the ref, picking him up and slaping him around. Doesn't work. Thunder runs his hands through his scraggley hair then gets an idea. He rolls out of the ring and goes to the announcers table looking for water. Werner says he has none, but Steel does. He asks Steel for it, and Steel says sure. He opens the lid and hands it towards Thunder, but downturns the bottle and pours all the water out and then hands it to Thunder. Thunder says thank you and chucks the bottle at Steel's head, hitting him dead center in the forehead. Thunder sits on the apron and pulls himself up, facing Steel and pointing to him. Thunder goes into the ring, and barely has both feet in when DGX knocks him out with the title.
Matt Steel: Beautiful move! Such a great thought, to use the title like that. Matthew Werner: Hypocrite. Matt Steel: Douchebag. Matthew Werner: I'm hurt. DGX pulls Thunder to the center of the ring and hooks both legs. Again, no count because there is no ref. DGX goes and messes with the ref this time, standing him in the corner. DGX is talking to him, trying to revive him. Thunder revives now and clutches the title on his side and slowly gets to his feet, DGX oblivious. Once he is standing, Thunder yells "DGENERATE" and charges. DGX jumps out of the way and Thunder clocks the ref, who falls out of the ring. Thunder throws his title and screams in anger. DGX comes from behind and delivers a low blow to Thunder. He then wraps his arms around Thunder's waist and drills Thunder backwards with the German Suplex. But DGX doesn't let go. he lands four beautiful German suplexes, holding the last one in for a pin. No ref though. DGX lets go and yells to Steel and tells him to get a new ref out here. DGX hits the Centripetal Force and makes a cover just as the referee makes his way into the ring.
. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Thunder kicks out. DGX takes issue with the referee for not getting there fast enough, which gives Thunder time to reach his feet. He picks the unaware DGX on his shoulders and hits the Thunder & Lightning, followed by a cover.
. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
Kickout by DGX. Furious, Thunder quickly picks DGX up and hits him with an emerald flowsion.
Matthew Werner: I’ve never seen Thunder pull that out before. Matt Steel: And really, that’s even more dangerous than a death valley driver. He makes a cover.
. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
DGX kicks out again. Angrier still, Thunder places DGX on his shoulders once more and climbs to the middle rope, where he hits the Thunder & Lightning once more. He covers him.
. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
DGX kicks out.
Matthew Werner: I really can’t believe it.
Matt Steel: I’ve never seen anybody kick out of that off of the top rope.
More shocked than anything at this point, Thunder places DGX on his shoulders again, but this time DGX slips out the back and hits him a superkick. He collapses on top of Thunder.
. . . 1 . . .
. . . 2 . . .
. . . 3! . . .
Keri Thames: Your winner and NEEEEEW WFWF Champion . . . DGX!!!!!
Matthew Werner: After all he went through, DGX certainly deserves the win and the title.
Matt Steel: For once, I agree.
DGX reaches his feet and celebrates with his new title as the show goes off the air.

The following post is going to contain "bitching" so I advice people like Kurt Burton to not read or reply.
... Lee hit the burning hammer and Trace is like, no effected by it? It's a finisher for a reason. Either he hits it and wins or doesn't hit it at all. And its the Wrist Clutch Burning Hammer. I believe it says that in my bio.

The whole point there was Lee had him beat with it, but wasted too much time going for it a second time from the middle rope. I even made a point of having no one kick out of your finisher in the match since I know you've brought up not liking people kick out of it. But that does have to be necessary sometimes to actually have dramatic nearfalls. But I had other people (including yourself) kick out of finishers, including DGX kicking out of my finisher TWICE. You're really that worried about protecting your finisher considering no one even kicked out of it?

I won't lie...I'm kind of disappointed with the SOTF match result. No disrespect to Trace, but Kronic deserved it most but...that's just my opinion. Congrats to everyone who won though! And especially to DGX! Congrats, man!

You know, usually losing your girlfriend and your job in the same day tends to never make your day or week. I'll try to not take it out here but I just ask that no one you know, says things that'll clearly piss me off cause I really don't need any extra crapadded to what has already been a hard time for me.

I think that Calvin is somewhat right. I don't think that you should have someone just bluntly kick out of another wrestler's finisher. I think that the best way to handle that situation is to have the person who hit the finisher get the pin but it does need some theatrical drama... maybe have the person who hits their finisher get the pin but his opponent raise so much cain that the ref reverses his desicion. But don't do this everytime or it will get overdrawn and that would suck.

I see it as this, it gives all the good guys next year more incentive to win Survival of the Fittest 2010. So far, only bad guys have won it.
Another thing, what did you mean Calvin by liking my match better ?

Pretty decent show overall, though the coding goes a little funny in the middle. As for the debate about kicking out of finishers I personally think it just makes the match seem a bigger deal, you wouldn't have someone kick out in the opening matches does seem a little over top but in the bigger matches it just adds a little more suspense to it, espically when the RP's were close. I agree it shouldn't happen in every match or even to the same wrestler every PPV but if it happens once every few PPV's, to me, it works in upping the scale of the match.

Sorry, I did not realize all those things happened. Wow, I am amazed. Just kidding, I pointed out all of those to show it makes a match more exciting if, and it should only be used sparingly, people kick out of finishers. Look at WM25 with Undertaker and HBK, how many times did they each escape the other's finisher, or kick out of it at the very last second. Personally, instead of going for a second move, I think it would have been better if when Calvin hit the move, he was out of position to make the pin fall. Exhausted, he crawls to the prone body of Demon. He hurls himself on, but can't hook the leg. 1... 2... 3? NO, just as the hand came down Demon got his shoulder up. He just had too much time to recuperate.

Aside from not knowing what "so much cain" is, you're suggesting that instead of nearfalls after finishers, have the referee reverse the decision? That's like . . . a horrible idea. Oh, and technically I should report you for posting that Jericho image twice, as it contains a censored word. But the whole point is real wrestling matches would have no drama were it not for people kicking out of finishers. I'm pretty sure it's happened in every main event level in every PPV we've done, and now suddenly it's an issue.

People kicking out of the Burning Hammer is lame. Not because it's Calvin's finisher but because it's the Burning Hammer and it's probably the biggest finisher in wrestling history.

But that never happens in real wrestling. The Rock never kicked out of the stunner. Stone Cold never kicked out of the rock bottom Hardy never kicked out of the GTS. It just never happens at all Well lets just think about it for a second. It's called a finisher and all, so logically, wouldn't you go for a pin after you hit it? The fact he didn't win by it isn't the big deal to me. If he hit it, and waited too long, thats different. But I'm talking about Lee hitting it, then trying ANOTHER move as if, hitting it once isn't enough. After going through what, 10 guys. Clearly they'd be worn out and a finisher would probably be enough. but instead he tries another move. Another move that trace slips out of. Stating that well, the move didn't effect him at ALL. Then, trace locks in Calvin as if he still had all the strength in the world and Calvin get knocked out conscious. That's all I have a problem with. It makes his finisher look pretty bad, that or trace has super heroic powers. It also kinda happens with DGX and Thunder. Thunder hits everything he has, any offense at all. And D hits basically one super kick. It makes Thunder's moveset look pretty bad.
