I recently picked up a Lex Luger Robed with no paint with a belt with no WCW markings on either. I found it quite odd and am trying to find out what exactly it is. I don't imagine it's a prototype or test shot as it is identical a Luger robed but before paint. Do you think someone could've stripped the paint off that easy? There are no traces of doing so and I can imagine a process like this would be very difficult. On the other hand it could just have been taken from the factory before painting which seems liklier.
Any Ideas?

The WCW markings are on the back of his thigh. It goes vertical down, near his tights. Hope this helps.

That's definitely not the case. The figure is black like you would imagine the mould of the robed figure to be. I've looked for paint residue or signs of tampering but can't see anything suspicious.

Its certainly unique. Does it feel any different to standard WCW Galoob figures?

The figure is a black mold. I know this due to the fact that most of these figures I've seen have paint rub on the nose and hands (which is black). The mold is black, and they paint fleshtone over the black. I believe what you have is an unpainted figure. Very nice.

If the mould is black (which it definately is, as i have my figure in my hand as I type this), how can this be an 'un-painted' figure? If it was un-painted, surely it would be black?? I'm confuzzled! hehe.

I think it's just the way the flash is bouncing off the figure. The gifgure is actually a mat black colour like you would imagine the mould of the robed luger to be.
