I just noticed some of the colour schemes of hardy and punk are different in the individual proto and with accessory protos of flex force. Not that anyone seems to care.

I don't care what anyone says. I stopped collecting figures but after seeing these Mattel Prototype Images -- I will DEFINITELY be buying a few of these when they're released. They look great.

These blow Jakks out of the water. I'll be getting the two HHH figures for sure!
I am seeing alot of posts about people comparing these to R#'s and I really don't see it. Right off the bat they have more articulation than any R3 ever had. From what I can see in the proto pics they have the same POA as RA (Basic) and DA (Elite) The only difference is I don't see thunder thighs on the basics or extra long legs on the DA's Sure they might be too ripped, but I'd rather the ripped look over the thunder thighs.
The only thing one could say compares them to R3 is the fact they they have scale within the series by different sizes/builds for each wrestler which Jakks gave up on in their R3 line very early on. If Jakks had stuck with that instead of deciding to give everyone the Austin torso that would have been the best line ever. I would have loved to have gotten the CS in R3 form Jakks...here's hoping mattel has more "Classic" wrestlers other than Austin down the road. For now I say bring on Jan 1 so I can get those two HHH figures!

Didn't really have long to post my in depth thoughts at the time of it all, so here they are.
Elite Collection: Freaking love this line. So many times we called out to Jakks to release figures with cloth entrance gear and we were very rarely treated to it. Will buy these. CM Punk- Love the head and attire. Shirt is awesome but kickpads are a little to big. Undertaker- Great entrance gear, hard to tell about rest of fig. Rey Mysterio- Like the attire choice and the bonus mask is awesome. MVP- Loving the detail and a great attire. Edge- Not a fan of the head but the rest of the figure is cool. I'll try and get all of these.
Basic Series 1 John Cena- Solid figure. Triple H- Hate the head and wtf with the belt. Evan Bourne-Fantastic detail. Kofi- Awesome head (thats how its done jakks) and nice attire. Big Show- Looks way too small. Batista- Love the head but rest looks too cartonnish. Overall great set, will get all of these.
Entrance Gear Greats Rey- OMFG, PERFECT!!! Triple H- Great figure HBK- Nice. Will get all of these.
Heritage Not really liking these but I'll get Austin
Double Packs Beths fantastic as is Jericho. Will try and get all.
Overall, extremely impressed. I prefer Jakks RA line but these arent a bad substitute. I'll try and get 1 of all the first lines that I'm interested in (double packs, entrance, elite and basic.) After seeing them, I'll try to get at least 1 of every styled figure. Also can't wait for the legends line. Mattels won me over and I cant wait to spend my money on their products.

Mattel really outdid themselves. I was not sure how they would do, but now that I've seen what they can, it makes me feel like I wasted my money on JAKKS.

I'm really impressed with the level of detail on every figure and the fact each one has a unique mold is incredible! However the painting on the skin tones are really really bad and i absolutely hate the huge round shoulder joints. If they fixed those two things i'd actually collect these figures. The price point is too expensive as well. Really nice seeing a company actually producing a very detailed/accurate wrestling figure, puts Jakks to shame.
I'll have to wait and see what the final product looks like.

Defiently gonna pick up quite a few of theses with my Xmas money. Haven't bought figures in ages but I like the look of theses, it's good how not everyone as samey body types as well.
I'll probably pick up the following: Elite Series - Punk, Taker, Rey and MVP Basic - Bourne, Kofi Entrance Gear - Rey, Triple H and Shawn Wrestlemania - Austin (and maybe Cena and Batista) Twin Packs - Legacy and Micheals, Jericho
Will cost me quite a bit lol I'm hoping Asda or Tesco get them in so I don't have to rely on ordering online for all of them.

Can't wait to see some REAL pictures of the basic figures. The protos here are so 'Shopped... Kofi looks like an airbrush T-shirt from the beach. That Batista looks like it should be painted on the side of a van. The figures themselves look great! Also, in the Elites, that Punk is so crappily lit (how does he have dark shadows on TOP of his cheeks?!). The way they sweetened the whites of the figures eyes for the pics also looks creepy. Looking past that, I think these will be truly excellent. Can't wait to see them in context with one another. That's where the lines will REALLY shine.
Also, anyone judging Mattel based on the Flex Force should read the impressions on the first link. Unless you're a kid in the market for figures that "do stuff", I don't think you're the target audience for these. Let's just thank Mattel for putting all the springs and gimmicks into the less-detailed, throw away line for tots instead of injecting them into the entire line *COUGH*WCWTNATOYBIZ*COUGH* That said, here's hoping for some top-notch accessories that aren't made specifically for one line of figs.

Actually, I think I may sell most of my old figures in January ready for the Mattel ones, as some look awesome.

Are the Entrance Greats statues, or are they actual figs with the removable entrance stuff?
