- Opening match was solid, becoming a fan of Joey Ryan, maybe make him a full protoge of Austin Aries - Briscoes winning is the right call, not big fans of them but the crowd dig them - beard vs beard, haha, that's gonna be fun. - Main Event was real solid, can't argue with the result.
Another solid show, Red. I hope you expand on the diary and eventually do some monthly shows.

- Lynn beating Joey Ryan is alright, I like the younger Ryan to get the win, though. - Briscoes over King/Titus seemed like that had to happen. - Solid main event this week. Apparently you didn’t want Cabana to lose clean so the interference worked here. - Seemed like a decent show.

Glad Lynn won the opening match. Disappointed King did the job in his match but oh well, Briscoes had to win. Petition on a Pole seemed like a random stipulation, especially with Nana in there. Main eent was well done, sets stuff up, and nobody looks bad with the result.

Episode 3814.12.09 The last edition of ROH on HDNet before Final Battle kicked off with the energetic Young Bucks running down to the ring for some tag team action. Our commentators reminded us of their promo a few weeks ago about how they are now gunning for gold. Young Bucks versus Albright and StevensAn odd match as the highflying tandem took on the powerhouse duo and as a result for much of the match Albright and Stevens controlled. The fans were supporting the Young Bucks although there were a few chants for Albright. As always the Bucks didn’t disappoint and put on a hell of a show for the Philly fans. Eventually the hot tag was made which spelled the end for Albright and Stevens who fell victim to the More Bang for Your Buck. Winners Young BucksColt Cabana was backstage with interviewer Kyle Durden. Cabana talked about how usually he is a happy man but there are certain times when the smile has to go away. Cabana said that this is one of those times, as twice he has been screwed out of the World Title and that was two too many times. Durden asked him how he is going to solve this problem and Cabana just walked off. Chris Hero versus Alex PayneThe fans have now turned on young “Sugarfoot” as no matter how hard he tries to please the fans he is met by boo’s and his new chant “Worst in the World.” Sara Del Ray came out with “That Young Knockout Kid” who was quick to dispose of Payne. Hero then got ready for the Roaring Elbow but as he went to finish off his opponent Colt Cabana ran down with a chair scaring off Hero who exited through the crowd. As a result Payne wan by countout much to the annoyance of the fans. Winner Alex PayneCabana then stole a mic from ringside and told Hero that he’s not going to let punks like him walk all over him. Cabana talked about his match with Hero at Final Battle (announced on ROHwrestling.com) but added an extra twist. They will now face off in a Fight Without Honour. Cabana turned around to see that Payne was still in the ring, showing off his anger Cabana cracked the chair over Payne’s head as the fans applauded. Jimmy Rave versus KENTARecently KENTA has had a problem with the Embassy after refusing their deal to join them. This week he took on “The Crown Jewel of the Embassy” in a singles match-up. This was a solid back and forth match with the highlight being the fans cheering on KENTA with every move he made. The Busaiku Knee knocked Rave silly but it was the Go 2 Sleep that Rave fell victim to. Giving the Japanese sensation another win over the Embassy. Winner KENTAAfter the match Prince Nana came out by the entrance still nursing his injuries from last week. Nana said that he has had enough of KENTA’s antics, he said it would come to an end at the appropriately named Final Battle. As Nana finished Claudio Castagnoli walked out beside him and pointed towards KENTA then across his throat indicating that he will soon meet his end. Winner Advances to Final Battle Roderick Strong versus Tyler BlackBefore the match started we went to our commentators where ROH World Champion Austin Aries has just barged in. He tells Hodgewood to “take a hike” and takes over commentary with Dave Prazak. A very solid match with a good amount of time given to put on the match. Roderick controlled the start, stretching and slamming Black on the canvas. Black then started to fight back and was able to hit a dive to the outside onto Strong. Back in the ring the fans were equally split between the two and that also told the tale about the action. Strong went for the Death By Roderick but Black turned it into a Small Package Attempt, after kicking out Black powered to his feet still in the Small Package and turned it into God’s Last Gift to pick up the win. Winner Tyler BlackBlack celebrated as Aries said on commentary that he’d see him at Final Battle. A video then played hyping Final Battle with such matches as Austin Aries versus Tyler Black for the ROH World Championship, the Briscoe’s challenging for the World Tag Team Championships and Chris Hero taking on Colt Cabana in a Fight Without Honor. - Young Bucks over Stevens and Albright is rather surprising. I see you arn't making Stevens a heel like he is now. - Alex Payne over Chris Hero is shocking and would be ripped on if it wasn't for the story advancement with Colt Cabana, countout victory doesn't hurt Chris Hero at all. - Another solid win for KENTA, a match I'd like to see as well. - Black going over Strong is the right choice in my mind. Black should clearly be the next ROH World Champion, lets hope you make it happen.
Another fun show, Red.

This is one of the funnest diaries to read on the board, Dragon. I really hope that you do pay-per-views, but with the diary just being ROH on HDNet makes me think you won't. But the fact you haven't been posting a card for Final Battle makes me think that you won't be doing pay-per-views. Nice win for The Young Bucks to kick things off. Alex Payne over Chris Hero is shocking, but it further develops the Cabana/Hero. Jimmy Rave/KENTA would be awesome, man. No surprise that KENTA won the bout. Castagnoli/KENTA at Final Battle? Sweet. Black/Strong is a solid main event. Black earning the World Title match against Austin Aries is great also. I can definitely see you pulling the trigger on Black winning the strap.

Final Battle19.12.2009 The set up was much like their TV show layout just with a longer narrower walkway. Our announcers are Dave Prazak and Mike Hogewood who are excited for tonight’s action. They highlight some of tonight’s matches such as the Fight Without Honour, the World Tag Team Title match and the main event of with the ROH World Title on the line. Hodgewood did note that the Briscoe Brothers will not be performing tonight but a different tag team would take their place. Beard vs. Beard Grizzly Redwood versus Ernie OsirisA referee brought out a tray with hair scissors, a barbershop mirror and the dreaded shaver. This match wasn’t very good but it was kept mercifully short. Nana was banned from ringside after pulling Grizzly’s leg. Without Nana Ernie fell apart and was hit by the Tornado DDT for the win Winner Grizzly RedwoodWith Ernie knocked out Grizzly took the chance to cut off his beard with the scissors and shaver before throwing lumps of hair into the crowd. We then go backstage for a DVD Exclusive with the Kevin Steen and El Generico and interviewer Kyle Durden. Durden says that with the Briscoe’s not in the building tonight the no.1 contenders to the World Tag Team titles will be determined tonight, as Kevin Steen and El Generico take on the young Bucks. Steen says that this is a huge chance to get back their titles even if they have to go through two teams in one night. Six Man Mayhem Match Jimmy Rave versus Kenny Omega versus Stupefied versus Brent Albright versus Joey Ryan versus Rhett TitusA really fun fast paced match, all men were flying around everywhere including Stupefied who really impressed tonight. Omega was also awesome as ever with his unique style. Although an odd choice Brent Alrbight fitted in well in this match he used his power to beat most of the opponents and even take a dive to the outside. In the end it was omega who secured the victory following the Electric Chair Drop into a German Suplex. Winner Kenny OmegaKyle Durden was now backstage with the Young Bucks for another DVD exclusive. The Bucks also said this was an awesome opportunity as this is all they ever wanted. They said they will put it all on the line tonight to become the next World Tag Team Champions. Dark City Fight Club versus Necro Butcher and DeliriousA strange match but a solid match that filled out the lower card. Both Necro and Delirious had a strong following and kept the crowd in the match for the majority of it. Butcher and Delirious have teamed a little before so they had some chemistry even if they’re styles are completely different. After a tiger Driver from Necro Delirious came off the top with a Shadows Over Hell getting the 3-count. Winners Necro Butcher and DeliriousKenny King was then backstage in his entrance suit talking about his match tonight to Rhett Titus in a DVD Exclusive. Sonjay Dutt then interrupts and tells him there is no way he’s getting past the “Original Playa from the Himalayas,” King said that’s fine as he’s going right through him. Jerry Lynn then walked in and asked what the shouting was about. King told “the old man” to keep his nose out if his business. Roderick Strong finally appeared holding Lynn back saying if they have a problem with Jerry they have a problem with him. KENTA versus Claudio CastagnoliKENTA has faced many members of the Embassy but this was his biggest challenge against former ROH World Tag Team Champion Claudio Castagnoli. Although this match wasn’t considered great it still was a good match. There was an awesome kick versus uppercut part, which KENTA eventually won with the KENTA rush. Spot of the match went to Claudio catching KENTA’s springboard attempt and go for a powerbomb only for KENTA to reverse it into a hurricanrana. KENTA did get the win following a Busaiku Knee. Winner KENTAKyle Durden was back with the ROH World Tag Team Champions American Wolves. Davey said that the Briscoe’s were too “chicken” to turn up tonight so instead they will have to face some other punks. Edwards mocked both teams talking about their win-loss record over Steen and Generico then talked about the Jackson brothers “who are nothing more than little boys.” They ended by saying that tonight the “hunt will claim two more victims.” Kevin Steen and El Generico versus Young BucksA good match with both teams getting equal offence but you could see that neither team was going all out as they could be facing the Wolves later tonight. The Bucks were very impressive and hit their usual move set. This really made the Bucks viable challengers to the Tag Team Championships. Steen was using his strength as an advantage over the Jackson brothers and it seemed to work. The former champions went for the Package Piledriver and Brainbuster combo however a Springboard Dropkick took out Generico and Matt rolled up Steen from the Piledriver to get a shock three count. Winners Young BucksAfter the match Steen and Generico told the Bucks to get back in the ring. As it looked like they had some unfinished business Steen and Generico shook the Bucks’ hands. In a show of respect the former champions also held up the Bucks arms as the fans chanted for the new No.1 Contenders. Kyle Durden was walking in the corridor to try and find Chris Hero in a DVD Exclusive. However when he gets to where Hero was changing he finds Colt Cabana with Hero’s boot. Cabana said that tonight there is no holding back as Hero better be prepared to go to war. Four Corners Survival Jerry Lynn versus Roderick Strong versus Sonjay Dutt versus Kenny KingA very fast paced match with some awesome action to fill out the match. The match was split into a tag team match with Lynn and Strong on one side with Dutt and King on the other. Dutt and King focused on Lynn’s left knee and soon took advantage. However the partnership didn’t last forever as Dutt turned on King. The real star of the match was Kenny King whose athleticism was unparallel. Although he was the man of the match King fell to the Death by Roderick giving Strong the victory. Winner Roderick Strong It was announced that Monday’s episode of ROH on HDNet would be a Christmas Special with a special tweet for the ROH fans. Tune in this Monday to find out more. Fight Without Honour Chris Hero versus Colt CabanaEveryone knew this was going to be brutal going in but no one expected this amount of violence. Cabana can only be described as a man possessed on hurting and all most killing Chris Hero. Hero had the right idea at the start just to leave but Cabana didn’t allow that following him backstage and hitting him with bins, fire extinguishers and every square inch of wall the two passed by. They made they’re way back into the area through the crowd where Hero took advantage then pilled the chairs onto Cabana before jumping back first onto the pile crushing Cabana. Back in the ring the two continued to rage war. Multiple duelling chair shots later both men were split open especially Cabana who looked as if he dipped his head and shoulders in a bucket of blood. After more spots such as a Piledriver by Cabana through a table and various barbed wire bat spots, Hero was able to get the win following a Roaring Elbow with a thick chain around his arm and elbow. Winner Chris HeroThe man who will be challenging for the ROH World Championship was beside Kyle Durden in this DVD Exclusive. Black talked about how over a year of waiting is finally here. Black said he has had title shots before but this is truly his last chance, his “Final Battle” ROH World Tag Team Championship American Wolves versus Young BucksThis was the Young Bucks second match of the night although at first it seemed like their first match had no effect on them. The Wolves didn’t take their challengers as seriously as they should have as they mocked the highflying team. The Wolves took advantage straight off the bell even when the Bucks made the tag they were dominated by the fresh Wolves. Davey played up his usual roll by bending the rules and annoying the crowd. Richards’ kicks were particularly brutal tonight and Edwards’ wasn’t much softer. The Bucks looked destroyed but somehow after dodging the Alarm Clock Matt made the tag to his brother and the Bucks were back. Nick was somehow able to get a second burst of energy springboarding into the ring on Edwards then moonsaulting onto Richards on the outside. The ending action was off the charts as all men reversed, flew and kicked their way to leave with the belts. The fans were solidly behind the Bucks and with every pinfall their dreams came closer. After shoving Davey to the outside the Bucks hit the More Bang for Your Buck but still somehow Richards made the save. More action followed and the Wolves hit the Powerbomb/ Double Knee Backbreaker combo until Nick kicked out again! Edwards grabbed the leg and locked in a single leg Boston Crab. Matt tries to save his brother but Davey stopped him with a DR Driver, which then made Nick tap out. Winners American WolvesIn true Japan style all men lay out exhausted in the ring as referees and Shane Hagadorn entered the ring to check on the competitors. The fans were on their feet chanting “Young Bucks” and “ROH.” Even Richards showed a sign of respect by taping Matt Jackson quickly on the back on the way out. Hagadorn helped out Edwards while both Bucks remained in the ring for a while before being helped out. The last DVD exclusive played as Austin Aries walked into the interview area with Kyle Durden. After making fun on Durden Aries started to cough, Durden asked him if he was ok and Aries responded by saying he was just impersonating Tyler Black. “Because I know Tyler at every big chance he ever gets… he just chokes.” Aries said that he knows Black will go out there and give it his all but when the final bell rings “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived” will be walking home with the title on his shoulder and another win under his cap. A video played of all the events leading up to this point especially on Black starting with his first title shot against Nigel McGuinness. Then it moved on to Black leaving the Age of the Fall and Aries turning on him aligning with Jimmy Jacobs. The video eventually turned to when Aries won the title in the triple threat involving Black. After the video we go back to our commentators to give us their view, as usual “the Hog” is supporting Black while Prazak argues that Aries will walk out champion. A Tale of the Tape then shows before the introductions. Tale of the TapeNameAustin Aries / Tyler Black Weight185 lbs / 222 lbs HometownMilwaukee, WI / Davenport, IA Pro Debut2000 / 2005 ROH Debut3/13/04 ‘Do or Die II’ / 9/15/2007 ‘Man Up’ ROH World Championship Austin Aries versus Tyler BlackThe atmosphere was off the charts in this match from the get go with the fans split 20/80 in Black’s favour. Like their previous matches this was all about going toe to toe with each other. Aries would hit one move and Black would be soon bouncing back with another. The action also spilled to the outside after a Death Valley Driver off the apron by Aries, even this wasn’t enough so he came back with the Heat Seeking Missile. Back in the ring Black took control and hit a springboard Clothesline for a two count. Amazingly Aries countered the Buckle Bomb into a hurricanrana into the corner. Aries even tried the 450 Splash but Black got his knees up then went to the top rope himself for a Phoenix Splash. However Aries just about got his arm on the rope. After more back and forth action Black locked in the Cattle Mutilation much to the roar of the crowd. As Aries looked to tap Kenny King and Rhett Titus ran out who distracted the referee. Black not knowing what was going on released the hold as King and Titus was ejected from ringside. This distraction gave Aries time to recover and hit a low blow while the referee’s back was turned. Aries’ patented Brainbuster then followed only for Black to get an arm out just in time. Aries, exhausted and frustrated hit the headkick and went for another Brainbuster only for Black to quickly turn it into a God’s Last Gift for the three count. Winner Tyler BlackThe fans exploded as the bell rung and Black was announced as the new ROH World Champion. Aries rolled to the outside as Black stumbled to his feet, had his arm raised by the official and hugged the ROH Title. Suddenly the lights flickered on and off which Black ignored. This happened a second time and Black looked over to the referee, wondering what is happening. The lights then went completely off and when they returned the fans saw Black laying knocked out on the canvas and standing above him was a viscous looking Jimmy Jacobs with a newly grown beard and a large spike.

Beard vs. Beard is pretty cool as it doesn't actually require someone to cut their hair. Really interesting stipulation. Ew @ it being thrown into the crowd though lol. I was hoping Omega would win the 6-man match, and he did. Glad Necro/Delirious won since I don't know the other team. KENTA winning was fine, made sense. Young Bucks winning was ok, unexpected. Strong winning was fine although I was pulling for King. Hero/Cabana seemed like MOTN although I was hoping Colt would win. Like all these DVD exclusives. Shocked Black won. Not a fan at all of the post-match attacked. It should have ended with him winning the belt. Aside from that last part, good show.

Final Battle 2008 - I didn’t find the opening match to be a good way to get the crowd into the show or a reader in this case. - Glad to see Omega pick up the win, and I hope that Albright gets a push in the future. - Seemed like a simple win for Butcher and Delirious - I like the possibility of a King/Lynn feud. - Figured Kenta would pick up the win. Good to see Claudio got some good offense in, though. - Good finish with the Young Bucks picking up the win. - Strong picking up the win was the right move. King being the man of the match is great. - Very glad to see Hero going over Cabana. Seemed like a good war. - Great tag team title match. I thought for a second perhaps the Bucks were going to pull it out. - Another great match with Black/Aries. Figured Black would go over on ROH’s biggest show of the year, I believe. - Jacobs/Black feud is going to be fun.

The opener was a bad choice, but I like the stipulation. It's different, and I can see Ernie getting more TV time now that he lost his beard. Kenny Omega winning the six man mayhem is good stuff. KENTA going over Claudio was expected, atleast in my opinion. Nice to see The Young Bucks get a win. Roderick Strong push, please. Hero/Cabana sounded awesome. I didn't expect The Young Bucks to win the straps, but maybe they will down the line? Main event sounded fantastic. Although I do love the sound of Jacobs/Black for the title, I wish you would have saved Jacobs attacking for the following pay-per-view since it kind of ruined Black's moment. Also, having Black have a few feuds before the Jacobs feud would have been better as I highly, highly doubt Black will drop the belt in his first feud.

ROH Final Battle: Saturday 19th December 2009...Alright, looks to be a decent show, but that beard vs beard match, in my opinion is not a good way to start off. It was pretty weak in my opinion, Grizzly Redwood and Ernie Osiris are both two competitors who I dislike, Redwood getting the win is fine, not really fussed about this match. It would have been a crowd pleaser, however. Nice six man mayhem bout with a heap of talent. Kenny Omega overcoming everybody is a great decision, although hopefully Brent Albright gets on the rise in Ring of Honor and maybe even has another ROH World Championship reign in 2010. Necro Butcher and Delirious beating the Dark City Fight Club is fine. Fight Club are extremely limited in ROH, as I have spoken about in the past. Sonjay Dutt will hopefully get somewhere in 2010, also. KENTA beating Claudio Castagnoli is okay, KENTA is a very good talent, better than Castagnoli, so no problem there. All of the faces have won thus far, hopefully this is differentiated as we grow up the card. Young Bucks are two guys who I despise. They are extremely overrated, and I wish that Kevin Steen and El Generico had won that battle. Nice four-corner Survival bout to follow up, also as Roderick Strong overcame Kenny King, Sonjay Dutt and Jerry Lynn. I just do not like that a majority of the faces have won tonight. Great win for Chris Hero against Colt Cabana in the Fight without Honor, though. I hope Hero gets an ROH World Championship reign in 2010 for sure. American Wolves beating the Young Bucks is fine, as I feel that the American Wolves shouldn't job to these two. They are having a good ROH World Tag Team Championship reign and I don't want this to end just yet. Tyler Black winning the ROH World Championship was the right decision. Fantastic main event with Black beating Austin Aries. That post-attack by Jimmy Jacobs was just unnecessary however. Great show overall, but more faces won than heels, and that sort of wrecked it for me. Nonetheless, let the ball keep rolling.

-I'm going to be at Final Battle this year ;D Let's see how you do this -Not a fan of Redwood/Osiris opening, figured it would go second as a good match should always open. Nice that Redwood won though -Steenerico/Young Bucks should be amazing -Good idea to have Six Man Mayhem, I would've rather had that open tough. Good match and glad Omega won -Not a fan at all of DCFC losing, especially to a team that isn't regular. Although I saw the Briscoes lose to Cabana & Nigel once, then won the Tag Titles the month after. I hope DCFC stays important -KENTA battling the Embassy is a good idea and I'd love to see him go against Claudio. Match sounded good, glad KENTA won -Great tag match, Young Bucks winning was expected and can't wait to see them against the Wolves -Four Corner Survival was awesome, love that Roderick Strong won, hope to see him as a future ROH World Champion, even if it's only a short reign -Fight without Honor was sick, love that Cabana looked as if he dipped his head and shoulders in a bucket of blood. Hero winning is awesome, love him -Black's promo sounded good -Like that the Wolves didn't take the Bucks serious at first, but had to after a while. Great match and glad the Wolves retained -Amazing build up and incredible main event match. I love that Tyler Black is Champion, can't wait to see where you go with that
Start of the show wasn't anything special, but man did you pick it up. Great show overall, can't wait for more.

Episode 39 (Christmas Edition)21.12.09 The opening video then plays then we are met by Dave Prazak and Mike Hodgewood both in Santa hats welcoming us to this Christmas edition of ROH on HDNet. This episode was taped before Final Battle so it wasn’t mentioned. Prazak then explained that tonight we would see 2 matches, with the winners of each facing off later tonight in the Main Event. The winner of the Main Event will face the ROH World Champion on the first ROH on HDNet of 2010. Qualifying Match Claudio Castagnoli versus. Kenny Omega versus. Jay Briscoe versus Mark Briscoe versus. Sonjay Dutt versus Kenny KingThe Briscoes had the best reaction coming to the ring with load “Man Up!” chants coming from the Philly fans. Claudio had the best heel response while King had a mixed reaction. The action was very fast pace with all competitors putting on a good show. At first it just seemed like an all out brawl but as men fell to the outside we had multiple one-on-one segments in the ring. The second half of the match was a contrast and was spot after spot leaving the crowd oh-ing and ah-ing for the rest of the match. Much like Final Battle King shone from this match as the better man but was wiped out with Jay and Claudio after Mark hit a senton to the outside. Meanwhile back in the ring Omega got the pin on Dutt after a Croyt's Wrath. Winner Kenny OmegaWe then go backstage where Jay and Mark Briscoe are arguing. Interviewer Kyle Durden walks over to see what is going on. Jay is blaming Mark for costing him a title shot for taking that dive to the outside. Mark also claims that he could have won the match if Jay didn’t break up the count earlier in the match. In the end they decide to settle it in a one-on-one match next week to see who the better brother is. Qualifying Match Roderick Strong versus Necro Butcher versus. Davey Richards versus. Kevin Steen versus. Erick Stevens versus Rhett TitusAlthough the paced was slower than the last match this match had more star power with names such as Strong, Necro and Richards all getting strong reactions to start off. At the start Titus did pelvic thrusts to all the competitors in the match before Necro walked up to him and with one punch knocked him out. Although commonly a tag team competitor Steen looked well on his own and worked especially well with Richards who he has built up some chemistry with over the past year. As always Richards was on top form with Strong close behind, they were the obvious favourites to win in this match. The ending was an explosion of big move ending with Richards hitting the D.R Driver on Steen. Strong then came in with the Death By Roderick but Richards countered into a Texas Cloverleaf, which left Strong tapping. Winner Davey Richards Kyle Durden interviewed Chris Hero and he talked about next weeks final ROH of 2009. Hero said that 2009 was a good year for him but he sees 2010 as a better year as this is the year Hero gets the World Title. But before 2010 Hero wants to end 2009 with a bang. That’s why he has challenged a former ROH World Champion to a match next week. Christmas Edition Final Kenny Omega versus Davey RichardsThis was a proving ground for Omega who hasn’t really proved himself that much on HDNet but now he had to step up against a man who has been on a roll throughout the year, Davey Richards. Richards got streamers and a “Best in the World” chant before the match started. The match was mostly in Richards’ favour with Omega playing the underdog. Richards used all normal style to wear down Omega with his stiff kicks and hard-hitting offence. With the support of the crowd Omega made a comeback and got a close count following a springboard dropkick. However the tide was soon turned back in Davey’s favour following an Alarm Clock. After both men getting equal offence Omega got Davey up in the Croyt's Wrath only for Davey to slip out of the back and drop Omega on his head in a DR Driver for the 3-count. Winner Davey RichardsAfter the match Richards celebrated in the ring then the camera cut back to the Christmas hat wearing Dave Prazak and Mike Hodgewood who then told us that this means Davey Richards will challenge for the ROH World Championship on the first ROH on HDNet of the year. They remind us to tune in next week for the last ROH on HDNet of the year and wish us a Happy Christmas. COPYRIGHT 2009 RING OF HONOR WRESTLING, INC

-First qualifying match was good, love that Kenny King shined as I see him as a future star. Omega winning is good though, him against Black could be excellent -Jay/Mark next week should be great as they always put on a show -Absolutely love that Davey Richards advanced, but I was shocked that he made Strong tap out -Wonder who Hero will face next week -I love Davey getting best in the world chants. Davey going over was awesome and Black/Richards will be amazing when it happens
Great, realistic stuff as usual. I can't wait to see Black/Richards. Also, I feel like you should introduce a TV Title or something. Like for the guys like Omega, King, Necro, Dutt, Delirious, etc. Have it like, only defended on TV and it'll give the mid carders something to do.

- Would’ve liked to have seen King pick up the win, but oh well. - Briscoe’s mini-feud? They had some solid matches back in 2002/2003 in ROH. - Good choice to have Richards go over. Though, I was rooting for Steen. - I’d like to see Hero win the ROH strap soon. - Richards going over makes sense. Richards/Black should be fun.

As usual, I was pulling for Omega and he won. Richards winning was equally as good, can't wait to see who wins. I'll be pulling for Omega but either is fine. Ok Richards winning is fine; Richards/Black will be good. Interesting also to see who Hero will end up facing. I wish Black was on the show as he had just won the title, but the show was solid otherwise.

Episode 40 (New Years Edition)28.12.09 Dave Prazak and Mike Hogewood welcome us to the New Years Edition of ROH on HDNet with some cheap party poppers. Hogewood says that tonight we look back at the highlights of ROH on HDNet 2009. Prazak also hypes us the Briscoe versus Briscoe match and Chris Hero challenging a former World Champion. With a little introduction we cut to a clip package from Episode 12. In the main event the champion at the time, Jerry Lynn defending his belt against three other men: Tyler Black, Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson. We relived some of the awesome moments of the match before going to the ring for some opening action. Cheech and Cloudy versus Super Smash Bros.Dave said that the winner of this match would join the ROH Roster. Both teams put on a fast paced opener with all men going all out to please the fans. We’ve seen both teams before on ROH and they’ve all impressed every time. Player Dos (maskless) tried to end the match but got caught in the Slightly Cloudy with a Chance of Cheech. Winners Cheech and CloudyHogewood then said that Cheech and Cloudy will be having a great New Years celebration now that they are on the ROH Roster. Another re-cap moment then plays which shows the American Wolves winning the titles from Kevin Steen and El Generico at Episode 11. The familiar tune of Chris Hero plays as Hero walks out in his ring gear and a “Chris is Awesome” T-shirt. Hero talks about how last week he announced he would be ending 2009 with a bang by facing a former ROH World Champion. After some build up Hero brought out a midget dressed as Bryan Danielson. After messing around with him Hero hit a Roaring Elbow then pinned him while making the count himself. Hero then told the ring announcer to call him the “Undisputed Champion of the World” but was cut off by a real former ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn. Lynn said that he’s not going to let Hero disrespect the former champions (and himself) and challenged him to a match in the main event tonight. Jay Briscoe versus Mark BriscoeAs always when these two come together they put on a hell of a show. The action was straight down the middle with the fans supporting both men chanting “Man-Up” the famous war cry of the Briscoe’s. This match came from last week’s backstage argument following the Christmas Qualifying match. Mark missed a top rope move and Jay capitalised hitting the Jay-Driller for the three. Winner Jay BriscoeThe final re-cap of the night then played which were the last matches of Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness on Episodes 36 and 37 respectively. A small hype graphic came up hyping up next weeks main event of new World Champion Tyler Black facing Christmas HDNet winner Davey Richards. Jerry Lynn versus Chris Hero In the final match of 2009 on HDNet Lynn and Hero put on a good back and forth match which had the crowd watching the whole match. At first Hero took control taking apart the older Lynn. Lynn then made a comeback even hitting a dive to the outside to a round of applause. Hero came back by jumping on the barricade then spinning off hitting an elbow on the outside. As the action went back in the ring neither men could get an advantage. The action continued before Hero hit a Roaring Elbow to knock out Lynn and get the pin-fall. Winner Chris HeroCOPYRIGHT 2009 RING OF HONOR WRESTLING, INC

Couldn't really see this show getting much of a rating with it being around the holidays. Hoping Super Smash Bros would win just because of their name lol. Glad Hero got some promo time to spice up his character. Indifferent on who would win the Briscoes match. I like the match to end 2009. It was symbolic, and it showed that Hero is in line for a big year. Liger coming in is cool too. Keep it up.
