There’s some pyro. It’s large and noisy. Get the picture?
Mathew Werner: Welcome to Loaded, where we have some great matches for you tonight.
Matt Steel: We hope.
Matthew Werner: Pardon?
Matt Steel: Well the matches might not be any good. Don’t get people’s hopes up. After all, the opening match has been cancelled since neither guy bothered showing up.
Matthew Werner: Why do we even give guys like these a chance when they put no effort in Matt?
Matt Steel: Don’t ask me, I’m just the commentator.
National Title Preview Six Man Tag
Master of Destruction, Christian Shields and Damon Stone came to the ring together, but reluctantly. Ashton, Scott, and Reckless were already waiting. The ref sounds the bell and Stone lunges at Reckless taking him over the top rope. Ashton goes towards MOD, but is greeted with a solid boot to the face and Shields drops Scott down with a sick spear. MOD picks Ashton up and Shields picks Scott up. MOD nails the Peak of Destruction on Ashton as Shields nails Scott with a Cradle piledriver. Both men pin their respected opponents and the ref counts the pinfalls.
Winners bu Dual Pinfall, Master of Destruction, Christian Shields and Damon Stone.
Stacy Grey: Hey guys I’m standing here with the youngest member of Revelation “Dynamite” Jon O’Deeves, Jon how does it feel to be the youngest member of WFWF’s newest stable, and what are your feelings toward the attacks on Ace Bennett last week.
Jon O'Deeves: Listen baby let’s cut to the chase enough with the jibber jabber, I’m not here to talk about my age, or about Ace, I’m here to talk about me, and my near future as WFWF’s Newest National Champion.
Stacy Grey: Well first off, “Dynamite” I’m not your baby, and second off we are going to talk about what I want to talk about. I’m the girl with the mic got it.
O’Deeves rips the mic out her hands and pushes her off set.
Jon O'Deeves: Well sourpuss it looks like I am the one with the microphone now. Buh bye sweet cheeks.
O’Deeves stares angrily into the camera
Jon O'Deeves: Well first off, for some reason the best wrestler in the WFWF isn’t even on the card. But I guess it works out in my favor. Because this week MOD takes my place in a six man tag match, and there opponents my fellow Revelation member Aaron Ashton, Mitchell Scott, and Reckless will be able to soften up my qualifying opponents. This will just make the win even more effortless for me. Now you know what I would make a good National Champion? Well let me tell you. I am young, I am damn sexy, which will bring in the women demographic, and in the long run isn’t that great for all parties in this case?, and I will stop at nothing and I mean nothing to become champion and to stay champion, even if that means defeating my Revelation brethren. Because if it comes down to me Aaron and Shawn, I won’t be looking out for the great good of the team and I will not lay down for anyone, not Aaron, not even Shawn. When it comes down to this match I’m looking after one man and one man only. And his name is “Dynamite” Jon O’Deeves. Your Future WFWF National Champion. So Ladies and Gentlemen, HERE COMES THE BOOM!! Matt Steel, back to you.
'Motherer Of The Year' plays out over the loud speaker as Williams appears at the top of the entrance ramp, the lights in the arena flickering quickly on and off. Williams begins to walk down the ramp to a chorus of boos from the crowd a cold dead look on his face he slowly walks towards the ring.
Keri Thames: The following match is a triple threat match scheduled for one fall. The winner advances to the National Championship triple threat match at Scars and Stripes! First. From Leicester, England. Weighing in at two hundred and ten pounds....DAVID WILLIAMS!
Williams climbs up the steps and onto the apron, he gets into the ring as flames rise up from all for corners, a sick smile appears on his face as 'Death in Silence' by Vader echoes through the arena. The lights darken and this golden smoke appears onstage and ringside. Out of the back walks Spider with a lightutbe in hand and his hood up on his hoodie. He raises the hand with the lighttube and walks angrily down the ramp.
Keri Thames: And the opponent. From Seattle, Washington. Weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds....HE IS SPIDER!
Spider places the lighttube at ringside and walks around the ring. He then slides in on the announcers side and climbs of turnbuckle and takes off his hood and hoodie. He then climbs off of the turnbuckle and stares at the man across the ring from him, Dave Williams. Both men look at the stage when a guitar riff hits, the lights dim, and the crowd grows still. 'Revelation' by Symphony X finally hits and a single bright white spotlight resonates from the rafters as The High Horror comes out from behind the curtain and throws both arms out to his side like a razor as a gold waterfall erupts from the rafter above and the fans are now screaming loudly and cheering on Horror. The lights come back on, still sort of dim though, as Horror makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with a few of the fans.
Keri Thames: And the final participant. From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Weighing in at two hundred and ninety pounds. He is The King of Dread....THE HIGH HORROR!
Horror walks over to the side of the ring with the announce table and climbs onto the apron and stares out into space for a moment. He then directs his attention to the announce table, points at Matt Steel and pulls his hand back, making a quick cut throat motion and shines a crooked smile, and then steps over the ropes and into the ring. Horror runs the ropes a few times then throws his arms out like a razor again, but in the same motion, raises his right arm like he was preparing a chokeslam, and the crowd goes crazy again. The ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
The three men are in the ring circling around each other. Dave and Spider start closing in on Horror, who is preparing for a two on one assault. Spider charges at Horror, but Dave jumps low and trips Spider with a baseball slide, Horror then delivers a stiff punch to Spider's face. Dave and Horror are stomping on Spider with much force. Horror lifts Spider then drops him with a scoop slam and Dave follows up with an elbow drop. Then Horror with a leg drop across Spider's neck. Horror and Dave are both on their feet, in a stare-down. Dave is telling Horror that they have to get rid of Spider first, then let the better man win. Horror trusts his brother and starts walking towards Spider. Dave says something else to Horror, and he turns around and is roundhouse kicked by Dave and Horror falls up and over the ropes and hits the mats below with a thud. The crowd is booing Dave as he winks at them and puts two thumbs up. He turns his attention to Spider. Dave picks Spider up and Irish Whips him into the turnbuckle. He lifts Spider into the top rope and gets up onto the top rope with him, perfect balance. Dave clenches his hand around Spider's neck and leaps off the turnbuckle with Spider, falling outside the ring, dropping Spider with a chokeslam and both men crash into a coming-to High Horror.
Matthew Werner: Inventive.
Matt Steel: Very.
Dave easily recovers and gets Horror to his feet and rolls him into the ring. He covers Horror.
....1....
....2....
High Horror kicks out at two! Dave gets up and begins stomping Horror all the way around. Dave goes for a final one in the chest, but Horror catches the boot before it crushes him. He keeps his hands wrapped around Dave's boot. Dave is struggling to get free, but Horror kicks one of his legs up and the toe of Horror's boot catches Dave in the face. Dave stumbles backwards, and Horror kips up. He then drops back and catches Dave with a back hook kick right to Dave's cheek.
Matthew Werner: I always wondered how Horror can do some of the stuff that he does. The kip ups, moonsaults, etcetera.
Matt Steel: It's easy. So can I.
Matthew Werner: Without breaking a hip?
Matt Steel: ....no.
Horror lifts Dave up, then up over his head and throws him out of the ring onto Spider. Horror walks over the ropes and drops to the floor. He rolls Dave off of Spider and throws Spider into the ring like a ragdoll. Horror picks up Spiders legs and locks them under his arm. He falls backwards, swinging Spider up then onto the mat, hitting a wheelbarrow suplex. Horror bounces off the ropes and jumps and crushes Spider with a big splash. Dave has gotten to his feet outside the ring and is climbing onto the apron. Horror picks Spider up and lifts him up into a powerbomb stance. Dave climbs to the top rope and leaps off, clotheslining Spider, and Horror powerbombing Spider.
Matthew Werner: CHEMICAL EXPERIMENT FAILED! THE C.E.F!
Matt Steel: Woopdedo.
Matthew Werner: Wow Matt....wow.
Tired, both men cover Spider, but the ref won't count a double pin. All three men are down on the mat, tired and broken.
Dave gets to his feet first and kicks Horror in the gut as he was on all fours trying to get up. Horror rolls out of the ring and Dave goes to Spider and locks him in the Death Clutch. The ref checks Spiders arm after a few moments and Spider couldn't keep his arm up and he passed out and the ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Keri Thames: Here is your winner....DAVID WILLIAMS!
Dave stands up and gets his arm raised by the ref. He then looks over the ropes at his downed brother Horror and laughs as he has finally gotten the better of him. Dave then rolls out of the ring and up the ramp to a chorus of boos.
Johnny Michaels vs. Calvin Lee
Calvin adjusted his wrist tape while waiting on the Movie Man. The ref apparently hears something in his ear piece and sounds the bell. He raises Calvin's hand high in the air as Lee has the look of disgust on his face.
Winner by No-Show, Calvin Lee.
Tammy McTwirlstein: Tammy McTwirlstein here and once again I'm here with Yukio Blaze. So Yukio, you know the story.
Yukio Blaze: Oh I know the story Tammy by now. Its like clockwork, but I'm with you tonight and the Fanatics out there because I wanted to tell you all about this nightmare that I had recently. I had accidentally fallen asleep in the lobby of the Orlando International Hotel on one of those nice burgundy sofa's. It was real soft I tell you what, but back to the story. This after a impromptu meet and greet that turned out awesomely. So, I fell asleep and this nightmare I had, consisted of my Uncle Marty brutally getting beaten by a ruthless thug in one of those motel hotel type of places. One of those real scum like places. There was police, blood, teeth, hair, and everything else that you would normally see on CSI. I immediately woke up and called my Uncle, who was sitting comfortably in his Michigan home on vacation. All was well. It was all a horrible nightmare. So I wiped my forehead of the sweat and fell back to sleep.
Tammy McTwirlstein: Did anything else happen Blaze ?
Yukio Blaze: As a matter of the fact it did. That Nightmare turned into a beautiful Dream. The dream was me finally getting a pinfall victory on Kurt Burton and Wayne McGurk. It was followed by up the reformation of The Saint and The Sinner standing tall, which led right into Scars & Stripes. I entered the Rumble and won the whole damn thing. I got my World Heavyweight Title shot and Main Evented Superbrawl Six. I have no clue if I won or not because I woke up and I didnt go back to sleep.
Tammy McTwirlstein: Are you taking any drugs Blaze ?
Yukio Blaze: No, but the point is that dreams do, can, and will come true. For the past month or so, there has been a road of redemption of sorts for me and I think it will end in a good way. I'll get rewarded with the grandest of prizes. I will be rewarded with........
Voice: Jeff........
Yukio Blaze: What was that ? Tammy you heard that right
Tammy McTwirlstein: I did here that Blaze. Hey, who's back there.
Voice: I'm coming Jeff.......
Yukio rushes off around the corner trying to figure out where that voice is coming from.
Tammy McTwirlstein: That was really weird. I take you back to ringside. Tammy McTwirlstein out
Kurt Burton & Wayne McGurk vs. Yukio Blaze & Davey Sanchez
There should be an actual match here, but I appear to be lacking it from my inbox. Anyway, the match was very back and forth, with all four men getting numerous near falls. There’s plenty of signature moves involved, but in the end Burton & McGurk were the better team, with Burton pinning Davey Sanchez following the Acid Crunch.
Winners via Pinfall – Kurt Burton & Wayne McGurk.
Matthew Werner: Folks, it’s time to decide … uh … re-decide the Tag Team Champions … I guess …
Matt Steel: I frankly forgot we still had Tag Team Titles.
Matthew Werner: So did the ownership, apparently.
Matthew Werner gets fined.
Matthew Werner:
"Cult of Personality" by Living Colour begins to play. As the cash register sound ends and the music begins, Thunder walks towards the ring.
Matthew Werner: Thunder looks awfully bear without the World Heavyweight Championship, I must say.
Thunder glares at Matthew Werner.
Matthew Werner:
He reaches the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, taunting the fans, who go on to taunt him about not being champion. The fans have taken his verbal abuse for long enough.
Matt Steel: While it’s not much of a consolation, Thunder can look to redeem his World Title lost by winning the Tag Team Titles. On top of that, it’s already been announced that he’ll be facing Kurt Burton at Scars and Stripes and with Kurt Burton being the International Champion it looks like Thunder will have an opportunity to win that as well … you know, that actually sounds like a rather good consolation.
Matthew Werner: And possible corruption stemming from a personal relationship with the director of the WFWF.
Matt Steel: Only if the director of the WFWF was in this match and going for the Heavyweight Championship.
‘Death Before Dishonor’ hits the sound system as the lights dim.
Matt Steel: … Not that there’s anything wrong with that … hrm …
Large flames shoot out at the top of the stage area before Trace Demon walks through them, without getting burned. He poses on the ramp, raising both arms as the flames eventually die out. Trace Demon slowly walks to the ring and enters between the top and middle rope. He ascends the turnbuckle and points at the crowd, grinning, before jumping down and stopping in the centre of the ring.
Matt Steel: Serpico’s a good movie.
Matthew Werner: Just pointing that out?
Matt Steel: Yes. Just pointing that out.
With the lights dimmed the familiar bells of “Going The Distance” by Bill Conti echo throughout the arena. Puff Daddy’s verse begins as the camera stays fixated on the stage, picking up the sounds, the boos and murmurs, which resonate from the crowd. It takes fifty seconds and a more aggressive beat before EBR finally appears, the distinctive voice of the Notorious BIG behind him.
Matthew Werner: The first appearance by EBR in a few weeks. Coincidentally, the number of injuries has decreased in that time …
He descends down the ramp, his sweat shirt hood over his head as his eyes stay focused on the ring. Loosening up he briefly jogs on the spot and cranks his neck, climbing the ring steps before entering the ring through the second and third rope. “Victory” begins to fade out as the lighting resumes to normal and EBR removes his sweatshirt.
The opening bit of beat for Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Part II" plays across the waves as the fans rustle restlessly most booing. The beat picks up and thirty seconds in the first verse comes in and from the back walks DGX.
Matt Steel: World Heavyweight Champion. XWA representin’.
He wears his usual ring attire, no extra entrance attire, no debilitating pyro blast or the arrogant drawn out pomp and circumstance the audience has come to expect. Held in his right hand dragging along the stage and ramp is the WFWF World title belt as D walks down to the ring.
D gets to the base of the aisle and unceremoniously lobs the title belt over the top rope into the ring and climbs the stairs before getting into the ring and retrieving the belt from the canvas and pointedly raising it as the music fades out to jeers.
Matthew Werner: You really have to wonder just how much DGX and EBR are going to be able to co-exist in this match. There certainly must be a lot of tension surrounding those two men, which stems from the Championship which is now around DGX’s waist.
Matt Steel: They’re professionals, Matty. Don’t you worry.
Matthew Werner: If I could only have a way to view into these men’s personal lives and be able to understand what it is they’re thinking I’d probably be able to figure out if that was foreshadowing or not.
Ding! Ding! Ding
EBR and Thunder start the match off. Thunder circles around EBR and attempts to low and take out his knees. EBR stomps him on the head before dropping down and pounding him with repeated forearms.
Matt Steel: Well that didn’t work.
Matthew Werner: EBR taking out some frustration, apparently.
Bringing Thunder up EBR backs him into the corner and unloads with several more forearms to Thunder’s face. Let’s say Thunder’s beautiful face. Jimmy Rave is a good looking man, and fun fact, used to be an EBR pic base in the XWA.
Matt Steel: XWA Representin’.
EBR Irish Whips Thunder across the ring and into the opposite turnbuckle. The momentum causes Thunder to stumble out as EBR rushes and attempts a Lariat, to which Thunder ducks. He quickly brings himself up and performs a Lung Blower or whatever he calls it in his bio. I’ve written enough matches to know what moves are in Thunder’s bio. Trace Demon … not so much. Sorry. Thunder tags in Trace Demon.
Matthew Werner: The director of the WFWF making his first appearance here. This could get interesting.
Indeed it could, Matthew. After all, I wrote that I’m unaware of what moves Trace Demon does and then a sentence later have him included in the match. Sounds like a questionable match-writing tactic, correct? Is it possible I have an ace up my sleeve, or am I just writing myself into a rut?
As EBR stumbles up, Trace Demon grabs a hold of him and executes a T-Bone Suplex.
I went back into his bio and checked. That’s what I did.
Matthew Werner: Great move by Trace Demon.
Demon rises to his feet, getting booed by the crowd.
Matthew Werner: Trace Demon is evidently not the most popular figure in the WFWF.
Matt Steel: No one in this match is.
Matthew Werner: Hrm … you’d think in a main event for the Tag Team Titles they’d try to include at least one person who was well liked and the fans would be rooting for?
Matt Steel: Matthew, are you implying that his match is fixed in some type of way?
Matthew Werner: Of course not.
Trace Demon grabs a hold of EBR’s legs and attempts a Sharpshooter. EBR is able to kick Trace in the jaw, preventing this since getting kicked in the jaw hurts. As Trace Demon grabs his jaw, which hurts from getting kicked, EBR backs into the ropes and performs a Diving Yakuza Kick to Trace Demon’s face. More specifically, Trace Demon’s jaw. EBR looks at DGX, who holds out his hand for EBR to tag. He does so. Because that’s what good partners do.
Matthew Werner: This team of ED doesn’t look dysfunctional in the early goings.
DGX enters the ring, running to the downed Trace Demon and sharply kicking him in the ribs. He drags his future opponent to his feet and executes a Swinging Fisherman’s Suplex, before losing interest and tapping EBR on the shoulder, effectively tagging him in.
Matt Steel: You know, when you think about it EBR and DGX are sort of a dream Tag Team.
Matthew Werner: I have thought of that, Matt. And I agree.
Matt Steel: Excellent. Same page. Trace Demon and Thunder are a good tag team too though.
Matthew Werner: They are.
Matt Steel: Very good then.
As EBR enters Trace punches EBR in the stomach. EBR drops to a knee as Trace Demon brings himself up and Spears him down. Not gonna lie; I forgot any other moves he does and I don’t plan to go back into his bio.
Matthew Werner: Uh oh! This could be very bad for EBR.
In more ways then one, certainly.
Trace Demon makes the tag to Thunder, who enters the ring and performs a Shining Wizard.
Sorry, Trace.
Thunder pins EBR, because in most matches there’s pin attempts and I haven’t included one yet and the Shining Wizard is usually a finisher so THIS COULD DO IT!!
…1…
…2…
Kick out. Sorry, Great Muta.
Thunder hits the man in anger. In fact, he’s so upset that he tags Trace Demon back in. Tag Teams; they have to be there for one another in times of need. Trace Demon brings up the weakened EBR and looks to finish him off, but suddenly EBR swipes Demon’s arms away before kicking him in the knee cap. EBR backs off the ropes and Lariat’s Trace Demon in the throat with his left arm! EBR uses the momentum to whip himself off the opposite ropes, which enables him to then Lariat Thunder in the back of his head with his right arm, knocking him off the ring apron.
Matthew Werner: George Atkinson Lariat!
With Trace Demon lying on the mat, EBR knees him in the face with the move he calls the Motor City Machete!
Matt Steel: One half of ED with an incredibly stiff move!
With the momentum all on EBR’s side, he turns, only to get DGX’s boot in his face!
Matthew Werner: What the duce?
Matt Steel: No DGX, that’s the wrong guy!
EBR lies flat on the canvas, probably already unconscious as DGX stands over him. He slowly drags EBR up and into a powerbomb/piledriver set up. He lifts him up, moving his left arm to hold his wast/lower back on his shoulder (ala the Train Wreck) and his right hand on his neck (ala The Widow’s Peak). From here, DGX moves his left arm slightly to put his left hand over the neck as well, whilst keeping EBR’s balance on his shoulder. From here, he falls to his ass, pulling hard with both hands on the neck of EBR, doing his best to effectively attempt to snap both his spine and neck!
Matthew Werner: Christ! What the hell was that!?
Matt Steel: The Tears of Thunder … XWA representin’ … unfortunately …
After briefly surveying his damage DGX rolls out of the ring and grabs his World Heavyweight title, throwing it over his shoulder as Trace Demon, logically, pins EBR.
… 1 …
… 2 ….
… 3 ….
Ding! Ding! Ding!
“Death Before Dishonor” begins to play as Trace Demon’s arm his raised and he’s handed one half of his Tag Team Titles.
Matthew Werner: I don’t really even know what to say right now, but uh … Trace Demon and Thunder are your new Tag Team Champions …
Matt Steel: Alex Sean would not approve!
DGX begins to walk up the ramp as Thunder rolls into the ring, his half of the belts in his grasp as EBR remains on the canvas, motionless for the second time in his as many shows.
