Looks like Jakks has signed a five year deal to make "Legends" figures for the NWA!

As a personal note to remember.. keep in mind that while I have no "insider info", common sense should dictate what trademarks the WWE owns and doesn't. For instance, the "surfer Sting" character (and the Crow Sting character) were in Acclaim's Legends of Wrestling, as was a modified version of four of Owen Hart's WWE attires. While out and out WWE gimmicks like Blue Blazer, Doink, Gobbledy Gooker, and The Hurricane would probably be off the table, ring attire isn't necessarily limited by copyrights. Personally, I would think basing what Acclaim did with the Legends of Wrestling game as a good guideline of what COULD happen, in theory!
Oh.. and after a lot of questionable decisions, Jakks... I'd like to thank ya'll for doing something right!

NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES JAKKS AGREEMENT
Charlotte, NC: The National Wrestling Alliance is pleased to announce that it has entered into a licensing agreement with JAKKS Pacific for NWA Legends action figures. The five-year deal also covers other products that the parties might look to market in the future.
