Memphis does have the best uniforms out of the 4 newest cities (OKC, Bobcats, Raptors, Griz). Miami, Orlando and Minnesota have evolved nicely since their debuts 2 decades ago.
Hopefully Boston can whip that ass tonight so we have a killer series. Would be nice to see LA go to Boston 1-1 and fight for the title. Boston can win the homecourt battle tonight.
I still think the Lakers have it won but I'd like to see Boston have a better showing.

I know it's only the 1st Q but Ray Allen looks on tonight.

Christ. If this game doesn't get Ray Allen a contract extension, I don't know what will.

What an embarrassing ending to that half after such a great first. Ugh.
Makes me wonder if this games outcome will be the same as Game 1

Ray Allen has been ridiculous. What happened to all the "Trade him for Monta Ellis" talk?

The Celtics played with more movement BUT they still didn't play that great overall. Without Allen they'd be down right now but then again, the game would have been played differently if he misses those first few.
Great first half, the Celtics can get this one if Garnett or Pierce get involved. If you watched the half court, there's a lot of space now for Garnett or Pierce when Allen is in motion. This is what the Celtics need, one guy to get going and now possibly another to follow.
Kobe, all team defense on a guy who ties the Finals 3 point record in one half.

It seems like Boston has too much trouble grabbing rebounds. Second chance points are almost non-existent on their end and it's killing them on the other.
Celtics can win this. As long as Allen continues playing like this, KG and Pierce step up, and they stop losing control of the ball.

The fact that they are leading without Pierce and Garnett pretty much makes me feel good, the fact they got sloppy at the end of the half...well thats the Celtics for you, the rebounding and fouls are pissing me off. Gasol and Bynum arent Dwight Howards when it comes to rebounding, its a joke when they are pulling boards down with 3 Celtics around and Rondo is the only one grabbing,.

it was Sheldon Williams who gave up that easy up and under to Gasol when he should had rotated to cover Perkins a little better. Perkins was in foul trouble.
That's the other issue, this game might be impacted on the foul calls. I hope the Celtics can get through the 3rd quarter without picking up many. The rebounding hasn't had a chance to develop in this game for the Celtics.
If I were the Lakers, I woulda left Kobe in with his 3 fouls. I think the end of the second quarter is more important than the 3rd, for the Lakers, and it showed with Kobe and Gasol cutting it closer at the end. I think for that 2:35, Kobe would have been alright. If he gets his 4th, then you sit him at the start of the 3rd. I just feel like down 10 or more at the half you're WASTING time in the 3rd quarter coming back being perfect and the 4th is too close for comfort. If Kobe didn't come back in and hit that 3 at the end of the half, big difference right now.

Beginning of the 2nd and we already have foul trouble again, the Celtics need to get Kobe in trouble or this game isnt going to end well. It still might not anyways with the way its shifting and Pierce & Garnett are shooting

Ray Allen is amazing. Rondo needs to slow the down on fastbreaks. I'm scared he's going to lose the ball.

There's been bad calls on both sides. Suck it up. Without Ray Allen the C's wouldn't even be in the game.

The calls have been questionable. I mean, Pau has 1 foul and he's played like the whole game. Yet, Davis, Garnett, Rasheed and Perkins are all in trouble.
Doc should have put Nate Robinson in that quarter for a bit, to push and get some more transition 3's or faster into the set. Rondo had Allen and Sheed wide open for three at the end of the half but we had Big Baby bricking off the backboard. Easier said than done in retrospect, but Rondo looked a little burnt out.

Kobe, all team defense on a guy who ties the Finals 3 point record in one half. Allen was 6-6 on threes before Kobe even started guarding him...

Im not even blaming the referees but its not consistent, either way. Its either ticky tack fouls each way or they let banging on the Lakers end but not on the Celtics.
Just not consistent. I think all year my bitching has been about consistency, I dont care if its against the Celtics, just be fair all the way around

All I know is that Kobe has 5 and only 1 of them was an actual foul. He's the best player on the court, so stop bitching.
