If the Lakers lose this thing Kobe has to be the most over rated player ever. Oh yea and last year's Championship looks like a paper championship right now because Garnett was out, Yao too. Give Paul Pierce his credit, he appreciates his team mates, his situation and he makes the best of it. Jesus christ man shut the up about how much you hate Kobe. Every post you make is Kobe this and Kobe that. Right now he is the #1 or #2 player in the world at basketball. Get off Lebron's nuts long enough to realize that fact. We get it Lebron might go to the Knicks and there is no way in hell Kobe does. So just give it up already. Anyways, this series is over I think, when only what 2 people on the Lakers can score more than 10.

LA is playing terrible defense and Boston either shuts down Kobe (and the rest of the team doesnt produce) or shuts down the rest of the team, (and Kobe cant get it done alone)

No one has said Kobe is better than the best basketball player. Besides choosing the best one is opinions. Different eras, different rules, hell a completely different game make it near impossible to choose the very best

Different eras, different rules, hell a completely different game make it near impossible to choose the very best Ive heard many Lakers fans say it That's like saying you heard Colts fans call Peyton Manning the best QB or Yankee fans saying Derek Jeter is the best SS. When your team has an athlete of that caliber of course you will say he's the best. Ask Cleveland Cav fans (for the time being)

Magic Johnson just said Kobe was impatient and took too many shots out of double and triple coverage? Kobe's not the best player in the NBA. I'll shut the up when somebody explains all of his missed game winners in the first 3 series of the playoffs, 2008's meltdown and 2004's meltdown. He's over rated, he's just played 3 piss poor games and then 1 selfish game in the NBA Finals. They won last years title due to Pau Gasol saving the Houston series.

You bitch about Kobe taking too many shots yet bitch when Lebron doesn't? You are a bonafide hypocrite who just wants to rag on Kobe. You bring up all these examples of bad playoffs yet avoid Lebrons? Both Lebron and Kobe are overrated IMO compared to the other greats that have played the game. The point is Kobe and Lebron are switchable at #1 and #2 depending on your preference. But if what all athletes say rings true then Kobe > Lebron due to the amount of rings. Another question for you where is Lebron? Oh at home and not playing in the finals. Don't give excuses as to why Lebron's team isn't good they are NBA players. The thing is literally every post you make is how Kobe sucks and you know for a fact that is just jealousy. No one can honestly say Kobe or Lebron or any other premier athlete any any sport sucks unless they are completely intellectually- disabled, don't know what they are talking about, or just has their head up their own ass. It doesn't matter how you get a W, because in sports a bad W is still a W and that's why athletes play the sport/game (or so they say)

Rather than talk about this I'd like to not. Everybody knows if I sat down I could write a list so big proboards would run out of host space. But, to claim I feel this way because of the Knicks, LeBron or jealousy is laughable. I've hated on Kobe since before I knew who LeBron was, the Knicks were out of contendership and jealousy for a pro athlete extends about as far as his ability... not his character. I call out his character, maybe in part because I wish he'd use his ability more tactfully. The Celtics are a great team with great players.

The celtics needed a record breaking game from ray allen and 5 fouls on kobe going into the 4th to win in LA. I'm fairly confident we can still win this.
Just defend home court, simple as that.

Been up late watching the replay.
From 5 minutes until 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter the Lakers only put up 7 points.
First off, the Celtics defense was sick.
2, ALL of the Lakers looked like crap.
3, the difference was team unity and effort. The Lakers just couldn't match the Celtics effort and tonight the Celtics looked really confident.
If the Lakers can find their performance from game 1 at home, a similar performance to this Celtic one tonight, they could do it.
It's not going to make or break the game if Kobe puts on a shooting show, it's plays where Kobe, Gasol and another defender aren't boxing out Rondo on the offensive glass and just standing inactive near the hoop.

Paul Pierce hustling his butt off after lost plays and the extra passes on offense were also great. So much trust and unselfish play.
I used to think he was a different player but he's shown some classic stuff.

My only concern is the referees. They get all starry eyed in LA and if this game is close, they swing it the Lakers way. Boston MUST stay head strong to win this thing!

Dear LeBron,
Thanks for watching me play in the NBA finals for the 3rd year in a row. Hopefully you can actually get here sometime and play against me.
Your Friend, Kobe

The series is preety much over. The celtics will just have to wrap it up on tuesday. IF the celtics have to go into a game 7 then i think the lakers will take it.

No one who is a LeBron fan can say Kobe is overrated.......
This series is far from over, so lets calm down on all the Kobe hate. The Celtics will have to take another one in LA, which wont be easy.
