They should send Paul to the Hawks, because that is where he should be playing anyway. No, you keep Marvin Williams. I just don't see why the Hornets even made the deal for Okafor if you're going to just trade him after around 10 games for cap relief, why not try and just try the trade with the Thunder again, where as you get decent players and save alot of cap. Okafor hasn't been bad at all for us. If they make this trade, I better see a good C or SG acquisition in the Off Season.

I doubt the Thunder would want to take on Okafor's contract.
They could get rid of Etan Thomas's expiring contract and another piece to make it work if the Hornets really wanted to move Okafor, but I don't think New Orleans will go through with it just yet.

No I meant when they still had Chandler, and they should retry the deal to get Chandler in Oklahoma City.

Oh, okay. Well, it would be even harder to make that trade happen now.
New Orleans couldn't get Chandler back this season even if they wanted; there is a restriction that prevents teams from reacquiring a player they traded within a given season (July 1 - June 30), according to ESPN's Trade Machine.
It expires July 1, 2010.
Also, I don't think Chandler will solve very many of their problems even if he was still on the team; his skills have diminished greatly since the foot injuries that plagued him a season ago.

I wish the hornets can chase after a good SG. Like BV said Hamilton would be a good fit. No one in the Hornets besides Paul and West can actually score consistently and even West has many days where he's cold.
The Hornets need to fill the C and SG spot but just don't think they can fill both.

The Bobcats have reportedly completed a deal for disgruntled Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson.
The Warriors will also send Acie Law to the Bobcats, taking back Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic. Jax isn't headed to a championship-contender, but he'll play a huge role for the offensively-challenged Bobcats. This has the potential to dent the numbers of Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace, while crunching D.J. Augustin's already-limited playing time.
Bahh. I know we suck, but I really liked Bell and Vlady. If we're going to suck, we might as well do it with guys I like.

GSWs trade Jax/Acie Law to Bobcats for Raja Bell/Vlad Rad.
Clearly a win for Charlotte if Jax behaves.

Serves him right to be sent to the Bobcats.
Personally, I like this deal for GSW. They get rid of a malcontent player with a big contract and a surplus guard in exchange for two really good roll players with expiring contracts.
Cleveland should be kicking themselves right now though.

Not going to lie, I love this trade for Charlotte. If Jax can behave this is a great move, Gerald Wallace can stop just chucking shots now, and leave it to Jax.

Iverson is already done with the Grizzlies. Nice work Allen, robbing them of a $3M payday because they were too stupid to know that you're a baby.
I hope he never plays for an NBA team again -- he is absolutely everything that is wrong with today's game and embodies the negative stereotypes so many athletes carry. Good riddance.

I hope he never plays for an NBA team again -- he is absolutely everything that is wrong with today's game and embodies the negative stereotypes so many athletes carry. Good riddance. He was a piece of sh*t for finally calling it quits on them. But it's not like this was rocket science, you don't sign a guy who had this problem last season and then continue to put him in the same situation and think you're right. Sure, the Grizzles are more right than he is, but they still handled it poorly and will wonder why nobody ever comes there. I am also at the point where if Iverson can't realize he's going to have to accept less and be grateful for the chance to play, then he should never play again. At least Shaq and Rasheed are aware of the here and now and are not crying about minutes over Hickson and Kendrick Perkins. Allen Iverson thinks he should get more minutes than two players with less than 3 years in the league, on a building team. It's ridiculous, it's similar to Marbury. They're worried about their career averages and perception because of that. People are going to remember that Iverson belongs in the HOF, but if he dirties our thoughts, we're going to be less inclined to put our names on that. It's kinda like how now we all think Isiah Thomas is some bum... the reality is he was one of the greatest players who ever played. We just don't have that fresh in our minds, we have the bum version of Isiah in our minds.

Good move for both Charlotte and Golden State, even moreso if Jackson plays like it's a fresh start with everything behind him.
Iverson never was going to dedicate himself to the Grizzlies if he wasn't a starter; now, he's wrecked his chances of playing anywhere this season.
Unless, of course, he encounters another desperate or ailing team after the All-Star break.

This move cripples the Bobcats in the future, helps them now, but adds 20$ million on their books. They are out of the 2011 and possibly the 2012 FA bids.
Warriors saved themselves some money, but it wasnt their best offer they said.

Warriors saved themselves some money, but it wasnt their best offer they said. They're only at $40M right now if all team/player options are exercised... that doesn't really take them out of either race because they'll still be at least $15M under.

John Hollinger article:
As for Charlotte, this deal is questionable on their part, too. The Bobcats were desperate for offense, so this trade makes sense on that front, but it appears to be a short-sighted maneuver. The deal adds more than $20 million in future salary, salary the team had just unloaded in a previous trade of Emeka Okafor for Tyson Chandler. It takes Charlotte out of the 2011 free-agent market and likely pulls 2012 off the table for them, too. (They'll have $30 million committed to four players, plus a likely extension for D.J. Augustin, plus the contracts of any draft picks and signings between now and then.)
