I'm kind of happy the Thunder/Bucks game is going to be simulcast on ESPN Friday. I'm not thrilled because the Bucs will more than likely beat the Thunder, and everytime the Thunder win a game, it's on a night where Football is the top story. When the Thunder lose, it's seemingly always the 5th highlight on SportsCenter.

Hornets beat the best teams in the East and West last week, I'm happy. Add that West was playing like crapand Chris Paul wasn't even playing.

I noticed in highlights a lot of the Hornets buckets seem to come off of the the ball being held on the wing and the rest of the players reacting off that.
Maybe CP3 should pass the ball off a little more often and let the offensive run that way every few plays.
Paul still has such a low turnover rate and gets so many steals that it's not even a question that they are a better team with him. As to why they played like such crap while he was active, I couldn't tell you.

It's probably because Byron Scott wouldn't play the rookies, now that he's gone the rookies are playing good minutes, and are playing very well. Peja has stepped up aswell, but David West...barf.

Good NBA night for me. Lakers took care of the Knickerbockers, and the Thunder went to Utah and won convincingly in a game simulcast on NBA TV.

Allen Iverson has officially announced his retirement according to Stephen A Smith

Lakers owner Jerry Buss said his goal is to eclipse the Celtics in overall NBA championships and he'll spend more money next year on payroll... maybe he's confused and thinks there is no salary cap.
Chris Paul said he'll considering leaving New Orleans in 2 years because he doesn't like their transactions recently.
Tracy McGrady is in active trade talks to the Knicks (NOOOOOOOO!!) for Eddy Curry (lol) and one of Al Harrington, Chandler or the rest of their scrubs.
edit: let me correct myself. Concerning T-Mac... that, my friends, is an expiring contract. If the Knicks manage to get rid of Curry, they only have one player on their roster after July 1st, 2010... Jarred Jeffries. Two if you count Wilson Chandler's 1 million per year salary (great contract). That could be 3 big FA's. Jeez

Allen Iverson has officially announced his retirement according to Stephen A Smith Such a bad way for him to go out, but I guess it's his fault for acting like such a doucher about the whole situation. Although, I would put him up there for one of the best players of the decade. In his prime his crossover was vicious. Lakers owner Jerry Buss said his goal is to eclipse the Celtics in overall NBA championships and he'll spend more money next year on payroll... maybe he's confused and thinks there is no salary cap. And at the speed of the Hornets, only way we get back to winning ways is if we get get on the same page, or trade to get a damn SG, I've been rambling forever for them to do it. You've got the pieces to get rid of. At that rate, they could trade David West for a good SG, while still having a decent bit of cap space, and going get a PF, or move Okafor down to PF and get a Center. Lot of possibilities.

The Hornets deserve to lose Paul the way they are handling the franchise. I'm always so skeptical when it comes to Hornet's transactions. It'll probably stay that way until they sign a solid SG.

Jeez I think Buss meant to say he is willing to take on long-term contracts -- so not necessarily increasing the yearly salary obligations, but taking on more money over the long run. Kobe can probably still be an elite player for at least 3 or 4 more years before he regresses to simply a great player... so keeping him happy is probably his priority. And if the Knicks can somehow find a way to move Curry... whoever takes him on really needs to fire their GM. Because he isn't a good fit ANYWHERE with his salary and very low level of motivation. Brutal.

Man, I hate that CP3 is out. But Darren Collison is UNREAL for us right now. Hits a game tying three, gets the steal to take it into Overtime, and get a steal and basically win us the game from there.

Knicks suck at finishing off teams they've roughed up but do wonders for your fantasy team on those nights

Sloppy win for the Nuggets tonight. Like, zero defense from either team. Melo scores 50 for the first time in his pro career.

If Isiah Thomas returned to the NBA as a GM today, the Thunder would be the 7th seed in the West.

Sad thing is the Knicks actually played defense and gave up that many points
Carmello's 3rd quarter was on par with some of the stuff Dirk was doing this year
... I have Carmello on my fantasy team too
