Iverson going back to the Sixers. Good God. Say goodbye at chances to score Iguodala and Brand.

I dont fault him for the dunk, extending his knee, it happens, I doubt he was aiming at his groin. What I was pissed at was him taunting Bosh when he was keeled over in pain...you just kneed him in the balls, shut your mouth and get back on defense.

I would be so happy to see Iverson back with the 76ers. As my all-time favorite sports player for my favorite sports team, this would be awesome. The team isn't fun to watch and isn't going anywhere for the next 4-5 years. So we may as well boost the attendance and generate some buzz in the meantime. With this being said, I still don't see this happening, but it would be awesome if it did.

I love Paul Pierce and will defend him til the end, but you showed up Bosh, you hurt him (Not on purpose), why are you taunting! Maybe he was just yelling and it wasnt "directed" at him...but still! Shut up! If you wanna yell and rant...run down the court and do it the people at the other basket like Garnett does.

Taunting Bosh was especially ridiculous considering how much better Bosh has been than any of the big 3 so far this year....

Taunting Bosh was especially ridiculous considering how much better Bosh has been than any of the big 3 so far this year.... I bet that's what Pierce was thinking about when he did that! "Man you have been better than us for 12 games, in a contract year! Forget how people have called you lazy and not a good teammate at times, you bested us so far, so I am going to knee you in the balls and yell at you" That's exactly what he must have thought

Somehow Lawerence Frank has lost his job.
I was hoping they would keep him until they broke the record, so that way a different Coach isn't the "Coach who's Team started the Season worse than any other ever."

At least make sense in your quips. Who cares who was having the better year, or who wasnt...Bosh got dunked on, then kicked in the balls, which is part of the game he just should have ran down the court and yelled

Honestly, a guy shouldn't have to do anything after they dunk except pump their fist and high-five team mates.
But you still need to lighten up.

Sixers lost to the Mavs by 2 with like 1.8 left via Jason Terry.

If Iverson agrees to Philly's proposed one-year, non-guaranteed contract, he could be back in time to play Denver and Detroit back-to-back at home on Monday and Wednesday.
Obviously, the 76ers are not sacrificing for the greater good, but are taking a minimal risk with Iverson to fill the void left by a broken jaw to Lou Williams. From what I understand, they could release Iverson without any difficulty upon Williams' return if they wanted.
Iverson would essentially be playing for his job up to and after that point in time. I don't think his pride would allow him to exit the league twice in one season, and I believe Philly would extend his contract in January (which would only cost them $650k) for the rest of the season and go from there.
If the 76ers make the playoffs and are competitive in a first round loss, I think he stays.
If the 76ers miss the playoffs by a small margin but start to click with Iverson in the lineup toward the end of the season, I still think he stays.
I don't think Philly would toss him aside unless they were to finish 10 or more games under .500 this season, especially if his arrival boosts attendance/ticket and merchandise sales.

If AI plays under a vet minimum deal, he wouldn't be doing so for two years. He'd play out this year hoping to cash in next summer.

Unless he's willing to change the way he plays, his days of contributing are over.
It is pretty much over at this point for guys like Shaq and Iverson unless they want to take the good with the bad. Iverson has a lot of miles on those legs and not only is he not as effective playing the number 1 option as he once was, he appears to get hurt often while being depended on for that much production.
If he won't come off the bench after joining a team mid season, the only team who wants him and is willing to try and save his exit from the league, then he should go home, retire, and never self promote again. If he wants to go out with a high scoring average, preserving the end of his career as close to his prime as he can, I can respect that. But, he also needs to accept that it's not going to preserve his fame and appreciation. The test of time involves people wanting to give you that praise, because they feel you should be reminded and want to show you appreciation. If you self promote, people are not going to want to do that.
I don't care if he's a Hall of Famer, if he can't comprehend that he's not what he was 5-10 years ago, then he's showing a lot of consistencies to the person that was labeled selfish and a bad teammate while in his prime. One of the greatest guards to ever play, no doubt, but nobody remembers Michael Ray Richardson for his potential (more talent than Michael Jordan), they remember him for the way he left.
Just like Reggie Miller, just like David Robinson, just like John Stockton... the game is passing him by. Those guys are still preserved in our memories as they should be. Guys like Gary Payton, people don't even remember that he has a championship with Miami, because he accepted a lesser role, as he should have. I remember Reggie Miller the right way, ditto on David Robinson and Stockton. I remember Payton as arguably the best overall point guard of the 90's and best defensive point guard I've ever seen... not Chauncey Billup's blowing him by in the 2004 Finals in that awkward number 20 Lakers jersey. Because Payton knew what was up... and that was that he was lucky to be in the league. That's why it was great to see him hit those two big shots in Miami's championship clinching games.
What you do in your prime is what stands the test of time, but how you go out can change how we cherish that. Just look at Hulk Hogan....

A little fantasy ramblings just cuz I'm obviously in that mood (run!)....
My trade for David Lee and Chris Duhon in exchange for Marion (still has yet to make a 3 pointer this season, that I've noticed) and Artest was great for me last week playing against the other end of the trade. David Lee out scored the combination of Marion and Artest by a significant amount but also out rebounded them by 20 or so. Duhon led me in assists for the week while Chris Paul has been injured.
The Knicks Nuggets game which I mentioned last week was nuts for me because I had Carmello, who scored 50, and Al Harrington, in the 40's.
The guy I'm playing right now has Larry Hughes, who has 10 assists at the half (just my luck)... I'm hurting to fill assists right now without Paul. I grabbed Jason Williams after Jameer Nelson went down and he gives me a few good games for assists. But sadly I'm riding Duhon until Paul gets back. I dropped Jason Williams for Nate after his last two performances (22 points in the 4th last night) because my scoring has been hurting lately as well. Aaron Brooks is essentially my 2 guard.
Theddeus Young couldn't have started showing up at a better time.

Good win for the Nuggets to bounce back after a tough Minnesota loss. 7 players in double digits. All 12 men recorded points.
