I think Kobe traveled when he received the inbounds, but in LA, who was going to call it

Jesus christ, Oden just completely blew out his knee - he's done. It looks bad, Shaun Livingston bad.
This really sucks, he was playing so well too. Not only that, but he was pretty much the key to their dreams of winning a championship.
This is shaping up to be the worst season of all time.

Yeah, I caught a few replays of it on NBA GameTime (NBA TV) and it looked worse with each angle.
At the very least, his season is done.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden will likely miss the season after fracturing his left patella during a game against Houston on Saturday night.

I feel sorry for him. He shows glimpes of being a productive player, then gets injured.
Probably not the right time to say this, but I'm glad the Sonics/Thunder got Durant instead.

Maybe if they had the #1 pick, they might have chosen Oden. Very sad news for Oden. This guy can't stay healthy. And in the start of the season the Trail Blazers were my pick to play the Lakers for the Western crown.....

They'll be lucky to make the playoffs this season, they've lost their biggest advantage and that was depth. Three key players have suffered season ending injuries this year and that doesn't count Rudy Fernandez who is awaiting MRI results for his chronic back problems. They even started the year with two of their rookies injured..hell, even the goddamn coach is hurt and will miss time.
They're gonna have to make a trade just to have a full roster, which sucks because no matter what deal they make they'll likely get the worse end of it.
This whole thing is so surreal, it's like a really bad dream. I'm just perplexed how the hell Oden split his knee in half? You gotta feel for this kid though, he worked his ass off this past Summer and it payed dividends. He was second in the league in blocks and fourth in field goal percentage and this is without playing true starter minutes before he went down. Not only that but they didn't run many plays through Oden, they were still finding ways to acclimate him into the offence. I was a skeptical as anybody else about this kid being legit until I saw him play this year because he looked worth the pick and the time it took him to get back into the swing of things. Now, you just can't depend on him anymore, the club needs to bring a new plan to the table and prepare for life without Oden, not just for this year but forever.

All I know is I've had Joel Pryzbilla on my Fantasy Team all year long waiting for the moment that 11th round pick became the value of an 8th.

Solid game for Iverson considering he hasn't played in a while.

Knicks have won 4 out of 5 and also have played the Celtics and Denver close enough to lose in the final seconds recently

It was great seeing Iverson out there. I really wish there was a way I could have gone to the game. I didn't like the fact that Iguodala & Young shot more than normal. Maybe they were trying to make a statement that it's still "their team"? Willie Green continued to show why he's the biggest scrub ever. It was nice to be able to watch the game and actually see people in the arena. With that loss, Philly is a pathetic 5-16.

I'm not an I-told-you-so guy, but wasn't I getting killed two months ago for calling the Trail Blazers injury-prone?

yea man but I'm still waiting on your Danny Granger top 5 player in the NBA statement... they are 6-12 and before his injury this week he looked like nothing special at all.

I'm not an I-told-you-so guy, but wasn't I getting killed two months ago for calling the Trail Blazers injury-prone? Because they weren't(Oden aside) and I proved you wrong by listing how many games they played in remember? By the numbers they were one of the healthiest in the league last season, so I don't know how you can call them injury prone. Three out of the four Blazers are experiencing their first major injury and two of which were contact injuries, so again I don't know how you can say that they are injury proned. In my opinion, being "injury proned" is when you consistently are out of action from having nagging bumps and bruises and such and not by having some jerk flagrantly foul you to the floor. All this is, is a team that's had really bad luck this season. It happens to teams sometimes. LA Clippers experienced it last season(somewhat this year too) as well as the Utah Jazz and unfortunately for the people of Portland and the players...it happened to them this year.

yea man but I'm still waiting on your Danny Granger top 5 player in the NBA statement... they are 6-12 and before his injury this week he looked like nothing special at all. I'd be delighted for you to remind me where I said that. I definitely included him in my top 15 conversation (which I stand by) but definitely never top 5. And he's far from the problem in Indy. Other than him, do they have a single above-average (or even average?) starter at any other positions? I can make a very easy argument that they don't - not to mention they're horribly coached.. He can't stay healthy, and that's a shame because he's one of the best players in the league when he's right. And regarding the Blazers, injury prone is injury prone whether it's recurring or a series of "freak" occurrences.
