...how about wait to see what their playability is like before fully judging them?

OMGGZZZZ BIG SHOW IS TALLER THAN TRIPLE H!!! MATTELL RULES!!!!! yeah...notsomuch Big Show's Jakks figures are taller than the others. That Triple H looks like a cheap over-detailed piece of garbage. Take a look at Triple H next time he is wrestling...does he have an 8 pack? Do his thigh muscles protrude out on top of other muscles? Jakks may have a "baloon arm" style but its sure as hell more realistic looking overall than this Mattell stuff. It makes me wonder you people still would be all over Mattell's jock if Jakks was actually putting effort into making the Classic line, and not leaving out details on other figures. I will forever say that Jakks past work is greater than anything Mattell will bring to the table. And before everyone jumps on the "Elite" & "Entrance greats" bandwagon...remember, they are going to cost $15-$20 for ONE FIGURE. Jakks could have easily given cloth shirts & "leather" entrance coats to their figures, but they wouldn't have been sitting pretty at $9.99 each, that's for damn sure Did you not see the 2-packs coming out? They're absolutely perfect looking. I mean Mattel have some work to do with some of the heads and Triple H having the same torso as Batista, but this speaks for itself:

The HW torso Jakks made(used for Dibiase and Rhodes)... Okay, Mattel made a pretty over exaggerated torso(the one used for Triple H, Cena, Batista), but, this torso is realistic looking in the sense that they're are some people that do look like this(and I really don't think its a bad torso choice for Cena and Batista, not Triple H though). On the other hand, look at that Jakks torso... Just look for a moment. There is no one, and I say that in all confidence, that has a six-pack like that. NO ONE. Look at it this way, Jakks f's up all the time, after how many years? Mattel did make a few small mistakes in their first lines(Triple H's torso, Evan Bourne's lack of wrist tape), but, can you people really really say Mattel sucks over a wrong torso choice, or lack of wrist tape??? Examples where Jakks has screwed things like this up(sans the last few months of the zero-effort performance they've given us) -Cody's torso choice above. -BOWCW Jericho's SHW torso. -CS16 Sid(no knee pads) -The ridiculously large torso for Rikishi, Earthquake, Typhoon, Vader... -Evan Bourne is the same size, if not taller than the Undertaker. -Rock n Roll Express hair dying experiment. -The size of Scott Hall's head. Need I go on? If this was happening the other way around(Jakks taking the license after a 15 year run by Mattel) the same people would be freaking out, guaranteed. It's just that your scared of change. That's really it.

I'm almost out of room, 2. mattel hasn't impressed me at all and would look silly next to all my jakks, 3. i know how to spell pick ups.

I do think the torso works for Trips as well. He's pretty ripped/jacked on the cover of the latest "Muscle & Fitness" magazine. (Sept 09) I will say the one thing I do find odd about the Mattel figures is with all the rips that torso has the shoulders are smooth as a baby's butt. Not one rip in them which I find odd.

Action figures have always had unrealistic bodies, why is this a shock for a wrestling line?

at least jakks gave Ted a tan, Mattel made him cena pale. I don't say mattel sucks cause they lack details or wrong torso choices I just don't like the way the figures look specially next to jakks figures. I don't see a problem with that logic. I would put something such as Dibiase's tan into the 'small mistakes they'll improve on' category, but, you saying you just don't like the way they'll look next to Jakks is perfectly acceptable. It's just when people say 'they suck cuz hhh's torso is too ripped, jakks is way better!' that pisses me off as it's quite hypocritical.

After seeing the comparisons, I truly love the size differences in the figures. I think Mattel captured that perfectly. They look alot better this way and will look better when being displayed on the shelf. Mattel nailed this and did a superb job.
However, there scans are horrible on certain figures. I do think they will get better as they go along though.
I personally will not be buying any of these. I am not a fan of the current WWE or any of their current wrestlers. I will continue my collection and filling in the gaps with my Classic collection. Mostly looking forward to the NWA Classic line. This will be where I buy from. I look forward to adding on to my collection with this line.
I do think this is a very exciting time to be a wrestling figure collector with all the new lines and choices we will have next year. I can't wait to see how the wrestling section will look at TRU next Christmas with Mattel WWE, JAKKS TNA, JAKKS UFC, JAKKS NWA, and the company doing the AAA promotion. Should be a very exciting year.......

Whoever thinks Mattel's product isn't superior to Jakks' product is either a moron or a moron. Swallow your pride and admit Mattel just kicked Jakks' ass on their first try! Personal Opinon being passed off as supposed fact accross the board....Then calling anyone else who prefers there current collections over the mattel line childish namesfor the folks who like mattel fine..but months of bragging they would be a million times better then jakks and now to discover that they really are not better...just different... in fairness both jakks and mattel wrestling figures have there strong points and there weak points... for me i am very happy with the CS collection i have and i look forward to the nwa line.... mattel is not my cup of tea but insted of going on at length about how jakks is the greatest and anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron is stupid... i will say anyone who trys to pass off there personal view as "fact and the rest of you should just get over it already" or make wild claims that everyone is going to run right out and buy them anyway is confusing there personal point of view with general fact.... and general fact is people all have there own likes/dislikes and exspectations for what they want out of there wrestling figures... i am old school by nature and lean towards the classic line... in the 80s i had remco awas and ljn wwfs..never made the jump to hasbro because i didnt care for them...didnt like the bone crunchers either...stuck with my ljns and remcos for a long time till jakks announced the cs line....i liked the ra build but didnt have a reason to collect them till the cs line was announced... for me personally i like the ra line as they are articulated but not to articulated in my view of how i prefer my figures... in the end the perfect figure is in the eye of the beholder period... and in the end the popular phrase "if you dont like them, dont buy them" is perfect... you all who are excited about mattel and dropping jakks...im glad you have a new line that appeals to you more... but for me im a RA collecter and thats how ill stay ;D
