I honestly don't see the point in a lot of this stuff like the whole sub board for ideas and this thread, I don't think we're really getting flooded with anything to actually need these kind of topics.
"Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig - - Great figrue although I wish he had larger arms and a thicker waist. I might give him a pair of Hawk's arms at a later date seeing they are slightly larger.
Intercontinental title -
Mr Perfect quick Fix - I wasn't a fan of the large knee pads for Hennig so I gave him the small ones.
Mr Perfect - with the Austin/Hawk upper arms & the smaller knee pads -
British Bulldog -
his arm tassels will be a problem because they stick out straight. They are soft enough though so I think they will go down if you put the rubber bands over them for a few hours. (I'll try that tonight)
"Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman -
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan -
The Rock -
So the IC title can fit on anyone up to Hacksaw's sized torso. Anyone larger and it won't latch.
Legends Series 4 "Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff - Orndorff was a "Top 5" on my list of wants when I heard they were doing a Legends line and Mattel delivered. And he was the one I wanted most in Series 4. I think he is my favorite Mattel WWE figure now.
Of course there needs to be a pic of Piper, Orndorff & Orton -
I thought once I had these in hand I might like the Texas Tornado version of Kerry more, but I still like the WCCW version more. As for this version it's very nicely done, but his boot tassels are too loose
"Just in case you forgotten just who in the hell I am"
Here's a pic of the shirt and jacket on my custom HHH with R3 head - of course if you are displaying it with the clothes on you wouldn't even need to repaint the head like I had to for my custom.
And because the misplaced hair was bothering me so much...Corrected -
I think it looks 100 X better now the the hair is laying in the correct spot. Luckily with the naked eye you don't see the slight miscolored skin from where the glue was on the forehead. Once I get another I'll remove his knee pads and take in the jeans legs so they aren't as baggy. And maybe paint on some pants details like pockets.
These arrived today from Mattel shop. I won't take any loose pics of Trips because I already did that with the first one I purchased from RSC a while ago - And I just ordered the exclusive Kane from RSC. Hopfully that'll be here by Saturday
Defining Moments Series 3 Ricky " The Dragon" Steamboat -
Sting Fix-up - I wanted to give him the E30 Hawk arms, but the spare I thought I had are on my Kevin Von Erich so I gave him the e39 arms with the sleeves removed.
And most of my loose Mattel Sting Collection - There's a GAB Sting in the center of the ring with Flair (plus 1 GAB and DM Crow on my legends shelves) A basic Starrcade '90 and the Sting from the Sting/Warrior bp behind the ring (As well as both on my Basics shelves) and an E39 on my elites shelves.
With the Legends accessories and the correct small knee pads.
Big John Studd -
Bobby "the Brain" Heenan -
The Heenan Family - I know he was only an advisor for Flair, but he needed to be in the pic. I left the Legends Rude out of the pic on purpose, but forgot to get Bundy off the shelf. I will probably take another family pic when my long haired Rude arrives at the end of the week where I will add Bundy. To bad we don't have Mattel versions of Patera, Race, Adonis, Haku, Hercules and Terry Taylor. They are really the only other WWF family members I still want. Although I would also buy the Missing Link, Barbarian, Rose if made also.
This arrived in today's mail. The painted flesh tone on the torso looks much closer to matching without the camera flash. On the plus side this head looks to be cast in flesh tone and painted red/black unlike the DM that was cast in white.
Besides not having a rat tail the one thing I liked more about the first basic Surfer Sting figure was his tights had wrinkles molded into them, plus it had molded knee pads under the tights. This figure uses trunks legs colored to look like tights so the only wrinkles are where the trunks would be.
I gave the Sting an extra GAB jacket because the figure is so close to the attire he wore vs the Great Muta in Japan. I might get another of this set to change Sting’s face paint to match the RSC American Sting figure. But for now it’s close enough.
yes they did cast the torso in black plastic and paint the flesh. It isn't noticeable in person but it sure sticks out like a sore thumb in pictures. I am not a fan of that practice. Especially if I was a kid who played with my figures. I would worry about the flesh scrating off.
Now I know I complain when they were giving Crow Sting smaller arms than Ziggler, but this is ridiculous...his arms are HUGE! He should have had the same arms as Lex, but they gave him (and Booker T) arms that are the equivalent to Brock’s basic arms. lol Also I had to swap his left hand because it was fused to the wrist stem and ithe eyehole on the stem snapped when I tried to move it. Plus they face painted the tip of the hair strand. lol
