"Men Are Not Punished For Their Sins, But By Them"
WCWA Dark Desires: King of the Death Matches 3
The Desert, Outside of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
April 8th 2006
Official theme: "Gets Me Through" by Ozzy Ozbourne
This year's WCWA King of the Death Matches will be a part of a full Pay Per View with most titles defended entitled "Dark Desires". This show will feature the entire King of the Death Matches tournament, as well as several undercard matches, and a main event apart from the tournament. To help with the flow of things, the Dark Desires show will be held in two seperate venues, the death matches held in the Desert outside of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and the "straight" matches in an arena to be determined. Both venues will be equipped with closed circuit, so both venues will be able to watch the full show.
The format of this year's tournament has been revealed. It will be an eight wrestler tournament. This year's tournament will be a much more traditional tournament than KOTDM #2, with just one on one matches through the tournament. Returning to tradition as well, it will be just an elite 8 person tournament, along with a full WCWA PPV. The death matches and the non-death matches will be broadcast together from two different venues on big screens and on Pay Per View, the venue for the non-death matches to be named shortly. The winner of the King of the Death Matches tournament will not only be crowned the 2006 King of the Death Matches, but will also be awarded with vacant WCWA Death Match title
Also, due to a scheduling conflict, the show will be on April 8th 2006, not April 1st as originally announced. If this is a problem with any ticket holders, we will happily refund the full price of the ticket. We apologize for any inconvience.
1. Danny Havoc
2. JC Bailey
3. Arsenal
4. Necro Butcher
5. Brain Damage
6. Drake Younger
7. Nathan Kelley
8. The Messiah
Danny Havoc
The first entrant into the 2006 WCWA King of the Death Matches tournament was announced well over a month before the tournament. During the WCWA Synthetic episode from Oberhausen, Germany, via a pretaped interview, Danny Havoc entered himself in the King of the Death Matches. Danny Havoc has made a name for himself in WCWA via a never ending series of often times goofy vignettes from his hometown, the Unrecognized Hardcore Capital of the World, Cylinder, Iowa. Havoc looks to really establish himself in the 2006 King of the Death Matches tournament in what very well could be his WCWA debut.
JC Bailey
By defeating Drake Younger in the second round of Ménage Et Trois, JC Bailey earned himself a gaurenteed spot in the King of the Death Matches. But really, was it any question if he'd be in it? The last reigning WCWA Death Match champion, won the title by winning it in King of the Death Matches #2. Although still very young, JC has been a staple in WCWA death matches for several years. One of the youngest "veterans" on the WCWA scene, Bailey looks to be the first man to repeat win the King of the Death Matches
Arsenal
Arsenal released the following shocking developments to WCWABlogs.com, for both he and "Masterpiece" Chris Mordetsky: In the last few months, "The Masterpiece" and myself have been on the quest for Tag Team gold. On the last episode of Synthetic, we were on the hunt for our third point.. and we lost.. Back to the bottom we go. To me, that is just a huge slap in the face. A slap that makes me angry, but also makes me realize, maybe I need to refocus. Maybe I need to.. go back to roots. So recently, I made a decision. Temporarily, I won't be focusing on tag team wrestling.. In fact, I have a much more direct focus in mind. Dark Desires. Officially, I name myself as the third man for the 2006 WCWA King of the Death Matches.
Necro Butcher
Necro Butcher, a runner up in the 2005 King of the Death Matches, announced his own entry into the tournament after beating Ryan Cruz on an episode of Synthetic. The Butcher looks to avenge his loss at last year's tournament and bring home the tournament cup in his second outing. Butcher was involved in what was called "the most violent match of the tournament" last year in a staple gun match with Brain Damage that seen the two stapling each other in the chest, eyes, Necro's bare feet, the cheeks, and even the tongue.
Brain Damage
Ever hear the phrase "It takes two to tango?" Brain Damage, while coming up short, definitely proved his purpose in WCWA in the 2005 King of the Death Matches against Necro Butcher. Entering the elite 8, the 2006 King of the Death Matches, Brain Damage looks to make it past the first round this time around and as much of a dominating force as he's made himself out to be since that loss in his WCWA debut at last year's King of the Death Matches, people will have a hard time arguing that Brain Damage is a favorite to win the whole tournament this time around.
Drake Younger
Arguably, Drake Younger should be the WCWA Death Match champion today. After all, he took JC Bailey to his absolute limits at HURT and had him beat, on numerous occasions, but instead of finishing him off, chose to play with him, eventually taking the match to an unfortunate time limit draw.. The reason the title is vacant and this tournament is needed in the first place! Drake is a member of Chris Hero's Kings of Wrestling and has spoken out in the past about Death match wrestling, but if there's one thing that the Kings of Wrestling love, it's gold, and gold is on the line here.
Nathan Kelley
One of the biggest sinners of the Dark Desires, one could say. Nathan Kelley claims he's not a sinner, though, but that he suffers from a disease. None of this has to do with the things the former Spyder Nate Webb has done to The Messiah, however, the things that roped him into this tournament. Kelley has taken a turn for the absolute worst and a change in attitude that is just sour in recent weeks. However, it's hard to ignore the fact that Nathan Kelley, under his former persona, WAS the final runner up in the last King of the Death Matches. How will Nathan fair this time around?
The Messiah
The Son of God, the man without sin.. The Messiah walks into the King of the Death Matches with a purpose. He seeks revenge. Revenge for the sins committed against his religion and against his person. The Messiah needs to be taken seriously. He nearly won the first King of the Death Matches tournament. The Messiah rounds out the field of eight for this King of the Death Match tournament.
King of the Death Match Tournament First Round Match
Flaming No Rope Barbed Wire Match
Nathan Kelley
versus
The Messiah
It's just too bad the first round stipulations can't be very violent, right? WCWA has only had one no rope barbed wire match in the past. This match will not technically be that, but rather a Caribbean style barbed wire match, with the ropes taken down and two sides of the ring ropes replaced with barbed wire. That barbed wire will have wooden boards attached to it, wrapped in rags soaked in flammable fluid. Arguably the most dangerous match type imaginable. Fire is uncontrollable. But fire is the only way this feud can end. It started with fire, and it will end with fire. On the road to the King of the Death Matches, Nathan Kelley has been quite the fire bug, burning the face of Kamala, trying to burn a Bible at Trial and Error, and igniting a cross on Revolution. The Messiah looks to end it all as the two men walk through Hell's Gates for this unpredictable first round match.
King of the Death Match Tournament First Round Match
Escape from Zombie Island Match
JC Bailey
versus
Drake Younger
The last death match champion and the winner of the 2005 King of the Death Matches does battle with the man who had him beat, the uncrowned WCWA Death Match champion. "Too Hardcore for a Gimmick" JC Bailey does battle with the "Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger in the first round of the King of the Death Matches tournament. These two men have went to Hell and back with each other, battling in brutal death matches such as a barefoot thumbtacks ladder match and a barbed wire nets match. At the King of the Death Matches, they look to settle their feud once and for all. Only one man will advance in the carnival of the macabre.
What on EARTH is an Escape from Zombie Island match, you ask? Management has been very secretive about this match, but promises unbelievable brutality, as you'd expect from the King of the Death Matches. After all, every match is "amped up".
King of the Death Match Tournament First Round Match
Christmas in July Death Match
The Necro Butcher
versus
Brain Damage
At last year’s King of the Death Matches tournament, Brain Damage and the Necro Butcher took what should have been a “throw away” first round match, the relatively tame Unlucky 13 Staple Gun match. Staple seven dollar bills to your opponent to win.. Comparatively speaking, a much less dangerous stipulation than some of the others in the tournament. But the Necro Butcher and Brain Damage upped the brutality to unheard of levels by absolutely mutilating each other with the staple gun across eye lids, bare feet, and so much more, in a match that not only was deemed the most violent match in the second King of the Death Matches tournament, but one of the most violent matches in WCWA, of all time!
As you could imagine, the rivalry that started at the second King of the Death Matches tournament hasn’t cooled off at all with that first brutal outing. In fact, it’s just heated up. The Necro Butcher won that first match, but in a later rematch, Brain Damage got his win back. Now, the two men are set to cross paths one more time, almost déjà vu, at the third annual King of the Death Matches tournament in round one. This time around, it won’t be a staple gun match, but instead a Christmas in July Death Match. Neither the Butcher or Brain Damage seem like the holiday festive types, so only time will tell how this match turns out..
King of the Death Match Tournament First Round Match
Circus Death Match
Danny Havoc
versus
Arsenal
Hard pressed to say, but this match very well could be the most brutal match in the first round of the King of the Death Matches tournament and definitely the most extravagant of the first round stipulations. The top ring rope will be covered in a net of barbed wire, hundreds of feet of wire that stretches across the ring and back, horizontal and vertical. This makes the ring pretty much unusable, correct? And how are they even going to use all of this barbed wire? A scaffold. A scaffold will be placed next to the ring, for use in this most violent match.
This match is a match WCWA management said would NEVER happen in WCWA. After all, there has only been two of these most violent matches in HISTORY, the participants never the same after it. Only one of these matches has happened in America, ever, and it left JC Bailey cut to ribbons and the ring used broken and unusable. Danny Havoc and Arsenal want to prove a point, leave a mark in blood? This is the golden opportunity. Live or die, boys.
King of the Death Match Tournament Second Round Match
Barefoot Sh~t That Shouldn't Be Stepped On Match
Winner of JC Bailey versus Drake Younger
versus
Winner of Danny Havoc versus Arsenal
The second round of the King of the Death Matches tournament takes an old favorite, the barefoot thumbtacks match, and adds more destruction, more brutality, and more sh~t that you just don't want to be in the bottom of your feet! Thumbtacks, beer bottle caps, legos, and hot wheels will be placed around the ring in four seperate pits of pain, for use in this barbaric death match
King of the Death Match Second Round Match
Shattered Dreams Match
Winner of Brain Damage versus Necro Butcher
versus
Winner of The Messiah and Nathan Kelley
Take one part Taipei Death Match, one part panes of glass match, one part light tube death match, and you get this, the shattered dreams death match. Wrestlers will enter the ring with broken beer bottle glass glued to their taped fists. In the ring, several panes of glass will be avalible for use. And the old time favorite, the best shattering weapons, the deadly light tubes, will also be in play for this first time match up in WCWA!
King of the Death Match Tournament Finals
No Rope Barbed Wire, 200 Light Tubes, Electrified Light Bulbs, Last Man Standing Match
WCWA Death Match Championship Match
This, the finals.. Possibly the most barbaric match in the history of WCWA. The ring ropes will be completely removed and replaced with razor sharp barbed wire. That barbed wire will be lined with 200 light tubes, standing vertically to form a light tube cage. Plugged in around ringside will be several bundles of electrified light bulbs and light tubes, left plugged in to heat up while everything else is set up so they will be plenty hot.. And the only way to win the match, the tournament, and the vacant WCWA Death Match title.. will be to knock your opponent out. Two men will make it to this final match, only one will walk away. King.
Five Way Total Elimination Match
WCWA American Joshi Championship Match
Allison Danger
versus
Kylie Pierce
versus
Lacey
versus
Mickie Knuckle
versus
LuFisto
Women's professional wrestling in America has long been a joke, something to laugh at and mock, and at the very most a special side attraction. American Women's wrestling was more often than not nothing more than models parading around in bikinis or less having glorified sports entertainment. A rare occassion was it that the women's match could steal the show, at least in the last 2 decades. WCWA will change that. WCWA has already proven that the women can compete with the men and are just as athletic and have the exact same fighting spirit. Allison Danger competed in the sixteen person Torneo Cibernetico match, and also took Chris Hero to his limits in a one on one encounter. In the spirit of professional women's wrestling, not knock outs, not divas, women's wrestling, WCWA introduces the American Joshi Championship. With a hertitage springing from the serious and athletic "Joshi" style of Japanese women's wrestling, WCWA looks to bring back the respect and admiration that women's wrestling deserves in America.
Allison Danger, Mickie Knuckles, LuFisto, Lacey, and Kylie Pierce will make up the initial five way total elimination match to determine the first champion. The feuds go in all directions with this match. Feuds between Knuckles and LuFisto and Lacey and Pierce have gone back as far as each pair has crossed paths, and Danger is simply out to prove herself and obtain gold in WCWA. One woman will walk out of Dark Desires as the American Joshi champion.
WCWA International Title Match
Chuck Taylor (c)
versus
Tommy End
Few wrestlers have capitivated fans in the WCWA as quickly and to the degrees that Tommy End has. Tommy End burst upon the scene in the WCWA during a tour of Germany where, as a local wrestler, End was given a series of try out matches. End was meant to serve as enhancement talent, to fill out the cards since the full WCWA crew was not in Germany. However, after taking unbelievable beatings from Brain Damage and "Masterpiece" Chris Mordetsky, Tommy End's heart and determination were enough to earn himself an opportunity at a WCWA contract.
All of this is a feel good story of the decade, but it means nothing to the reigning WCWA International champion, Chuck Taylor. Chuck Taylor has proven himself as a top tier wrestler in recent months, with huge matches against Jack Evans, Eddie Kingston, and Lance Storm. Chuck Taylor has shown himself as one of the stars of WCWA since capturing the WCWA International title, and has no intent on giving up his gold. In a match up between two of WCWA's exciting young prospect's, this one has the makings of an instant classic and very well could steal the show at Dark Desires.
WCWA World Junior Heavyweight Title Match
SeXXXy Eddy (c)
versus
Emil Sitoci
The Junior Heavyweight division has long been one of the most exciting divisions, often right on par with the Heavyweight title in prestigue. The Menage Et Trois three way dance tournament proved that, as most of the roster entered and tried their best to come out on top, but in the end, it was SeXXXy Eddy who won the whole thing over twenty plus other wrestlers. Eddy came home from Germany with the World Junior Heavyweight championship.
However, something else came home from Germany with WCWA, the new comer "Tremendous" Emil Sitoci. Sitoci himself was not entered in the Menage Et Trois tournament, but almost played spoiler for the whole tournament, by taking then champion Jack Evans to the absolute limits, nearly taking the championship out of play entirely. On a recent episode of Revolution, Sitoci won a Junior Heavyweights battle royal to earn another shot at the championship. At Dark Desires, Sitoci redeems this shot. Who will come out on top in the battle between "The Tremendous One" and "The Triple X Sex Express", for the World Junior Heavyweight title?
WCWA World Television Title Match
Jimmy Jacobs (c)
versus
Beef Wellington
It's a blood feud. A feud that has spanned a long time and burned, both figuratively and literally, several innocent victims. It started over the World Television title, but that seems like just a prop now. In fact, Jacobs smashed the championship belt itself up with a hammer, something that burned the proud former champion Beef Wellington hard.
However, this is more than just a feud over a wrestling belt. This is a personal feud of conflicting lifestyles. The dark and brooding Jacobs hates everything that the colorful and playful Wellington stands for. He's been out to injure Wellington on several occasions, and has also injured Beef's "friend" and fitness instructor Kylie Pierce. On the flip side, Wellington has injured Jacobs' "follower" Lacey with fire attacks, spikes, and an E Coli Driver. This one should be one for the ages, as for one final time, Jimmy Jacobs goes to war with Beef Wellington, with the World Television title on the line
WCWA World Tag Team Titles Match
The BLK Out (Ruckus & Sabian) (c)
versus
Ariel Insanity (Pac & Delirious) (3)
In WCWA, it takes three consecutive wins to earn a shot at the World Tag Team championships. Fly by night teams do not get shots at the titles and when the championships are defended, it's a big deal. So when the team of Delirious and Pac, a rather random tandem, somehow managed to earn the three points needed, it raised more than a few eyebrows. But really, since becoming a duo, the two have become a united front, with Pac doning Delirious' signature colors, and Delirious adapting more of a high flying style to meet Pac's needs.
But it's going to take more than matching gear to defeat the BLK Out. The BLK Out has become a staple in the WCWA, and has been on top of the tag team division for over a year. BLK Out have been a team for several years outside of WCWA. And it's not like they are some push over duo, either. Ruckus and Sabian have all the skill needed to succeed, and can hang with the absolute best in WCWA. At Dark Desires, these two teams will meet for the very first time, and the better team will walk away with championship gold around their waists.
Grudge Match
Lance Storm
versus
Claudio Castagnoli
It spawned from the sixteen person Torneo Cibernetico match. A feud from a partnership. Lance Storm and his colleges, Joey Eastman Worldwide, joined Chris Hero's Kings of Wrestling, which include Castagnoli, do to battle with the BLK Out at Trial & Error. Unfortunately, all four members of Joey Eastman Worldwide were the first four members to drop from the J.E.W. & Kings of Wrestling team. This enraged Castagnoli. The Snobby Swiss Arristocrat demands perfection. His record proves that, with not a single pinfall or submission loss on it. But Castagnoli's mouth is little bigger than his bite? Has he talked himself up a tree with the veteran Storm?
MAIN EVENT
Three Way Dance
WCWA World Heavyweight title match
Chris Hero
versus
Eddie Kingston (c)
versus
Jack Evans
Three men, three agendas, three vendettas. Eddie Kingston, the possessed man who has his sites set on simply destroying Chris Hero, unfortunately black balling his friends with his short-sightedness of this quest. Jack Evans, the shunned friend of Eddie Kingston, looks to claim the WCWA World Heavyweight championship, a title that despite being around World Championship Wrestling Alliance since day one, has never had a title shot. And Chris Hero, the champion. The champion so confident he challenges both Evans and Kingston to challenge for his title.
Jack Evans is no stranger to gold, holding the WCWA World Junior Heavyweight title a record setting amount of times, more times than any one else EVER has. The lengths he's held the title also surpasses most other reigns, combined. Jack Evans has been a fixture in the WCWA title scene since the beginning of the federation.. But he's never held the World Heavyweight title. But, one could argue that Evans has never held the big one, because he's never had the opportunity. In the history of WCWA, almost one hundred shows, the Junior Heavyweight stand out has never had a shot at the WCWA World Heavyweight title, not since the very first exhibition show at Bash 2004, excluding the 16 person Torneo Cibernetico, which despite wrestling earlier in the evening, Evans made it all the way to the final three, with Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero.
Eddie Kingston has had his shots. From claiming one of Spanky's last title defenses before he left the company, to the three way dance at HURT to crown the vacant champion with Chris Hero and The Messiah, to the 16 person Torneo Cibernetico. Kingston has come up just short each and every time he has challenged for the championship. Kingston, however, doesn't seem worried about the championship at this point any more, but instead simply hurting and eliminating Chris Hero. Kingston has been a man possessed since before the Torneo Cibernetico, and as he marches into the Dark Desires main event, his determination could be a gift and a curse.
And Chris Hero.. The man of the hour, the man with the power.. The man that holds the gold and the man that has driven Eddie Kingston to the brink of insanity. In the history of World Championship Wrestling Alliance, no one man has seemed so tailor made for the WCWA World Heavyweight title than Chris Hero. Since capturing the World Heavyweight title in the three way dance at Hurt, Chris Hero has been the driving force of WCWA, and the man who has driven Eddie Kingston absolutely insane. Hero has broken up friendships and in ways, ruined lives.
The whole match changed, however, at the Blast from the Past, when Eddie Kingston finally captured his destiny, captured his dreams, and defeated Chris Hero for the WCWA World Heavyweight title. It's a story of dreams DO come true.. But now, will greed come even further between friendships? Because now what Jack Evans wants.. Eddie Kingston actually has. And the feud between Kingston and Chris Hero is far from settled.
At Dark Desires, these three combustible elements will do battle with the WCWA World Heavyweight title up for grabs. But more than that will be on the line, pride will be on the line..
