WWE Signs Independent Star Jerelle Clark, perhaps best known for his appearances in TNA a few years back and for his infamous 630 splash, has reportedly signed a 1-year contract with the WWE. He will be a part of Florida Championship Wrestling for a few months before anything further.
Confirmed Appearances on Smackdown With the Smackdown return show to Thursday comes a few appearances. Currently, it is confirmed that Charlie Haas and Too Cool will be there. Rumors are also speculating The Rock will be appearing as this Smackdown is taking place in California. However, these are just rumors and will not be known until then.
NXT Rating and Backstage Reactions The debut episode of NXT started off nicely, managing a final rating of 1.2. According to other sources, the backstage reactions of WWE staff have been good as they are satisfied with the product's debut and are already in talks of possibly another season for 2011 if these ratings and performances continue.

l AUGUST 26TH, 2010 l SAVE MART CENTER: FRESNO, CA l "Thursday Nights"
A video package plays highlighting historic happenings of Smackdown in the past 11 years.
Opening pyros go off as a new stage is shown. The fist has returned, but is down on the stage, one on each side. High-definition titantrons are now up, and the crowd is going crazy as Paul Heyman and Jim Ross welcome everybody at home to the live Smackdown show. The music of The Rock hits as the crowd immediately rises out of their seats, well Jim Ross is going classically insane on commentary. There is no sign of him, and after a little while he steps out to a huge eruption in the arena. He laughs a bit and eventually makes his way down to the ring. He grabs a mic, looking around the arena. Laughing, he shouts finally - The Rock has come back to Smackdown! He allows the crowd to give him loud "Rocky" chants. He does his bit saying that he came out her for the millions and millions of fans. He says that it feels good to be back here on Smackdown, saying he was honored this past March to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and goes on thanking everybody for supporting him throughout the years. He says that things have changed around here and they aren't going to be changing that much because The Rock is not going to be staying here on Smackdown. The crowd boo and he tells them not to worry, The Rock is here all night long! The crowd cheer but before he can say anything more, Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring. He grabs a mic and says he is not satisfied with The Rock being here one bit. The crowd boo as he says he wants him out of his ring right now. Rock looks up and down at him and says he still looks like a 12 year old with his hair cut - and asks him why he's so serious and squinting all the time. Jericho says he beat him and Stone Cold in the same night to become the first Undisputed Champion. Rock mimics him and tells him to shut up. He says that ever since that night he has lived his career off of beating Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in the same night. He asks what other feat has he had since then. Jericho tries to answer and Rock says it doesn't matter what he's done! The crowd pop and break out into another "Rocky" chant. He says he is glad that Chris came out here, actually, because tonight when he goes one on one with Kurt Angle he also has The Rock as the special guest referee! Jericho points at him and says that is not fair and complains as Rock just stares at him. He soon puts his hand up and says he is going to be the special guest referee, and there is nothing a piece of monkey crap like Chris Jericho or anybody else can do about. If ya smell what The Rock is cookin'! He storms out of the ring, leaving Jericho in pure rage. Commercial Break10-Man Battle RoyalMatt Hardy vs Drew McIntyre vs MVP vs Joey Mercury vs Dolph Ziggler vs John Morrison vs Evan Bourne vs Kofi Kingston vs Bryan Danielson vs Gangrel The crowd went nuts as Gangrel arrived. The match is clustered in the opening minutes with Joey Mercury, Matt Hardy, and MVP gone pretty early. As everybody is battling it out - minus Gangrel and Bourne, Bourne climbs to the top turnbuckle and splashes into the circle of superstars. After this, he hurricanranas McIntyre over the top rope. Drew McIntyre is eliminated. Ziggler goes to eliminate Bourne, but he can't and turns to a dropkick from Morrison that sends him out. Dolph Ziggler is eliminated. However, Morrison is low blowed by Danielson, who then clotheslines him out. John Morrison is eliminated. Kingston goes wild on both of them, managing to hit the Trouble in Paradise. However, as he goes to clothesline Danielson out, he is picked up and dropped over. Kofi Kingston is eliminated. Danielson then cheap shots Bourne from behind before tossing him out as well. Evan Bourne is eliminated. He taunts to Kingston, who gets up on the apron. As he does, Gangrel slowly walks behind him and spits 'blood' in his face on the turn. He then clotheslines him out. Winner of the match: Gangrel (10:27) **3/4 Gangrel laughs to the crowd as they cheer him on. Meanwhile, Kingston and Danielson trade strikes on the outside. Danielson throws him into the steel steps and begins to choke him with his boot. The referees have to come and pull him off, and he yells at Kingston wildly. Abraham Washington makes his way out to the ramp with a mic and tells Danielson to calm down. He says he realizes him and Kofi really want to go at it, so he is announcing at Night of Champions Bryan Danielson will defend the United States Championship against Kofi Kingston! Commercial BreakWe return at the commentary table as Paul Heyman and Jim Ross talk about Rey Mysterio's injury in a match with Jack Swagger a few months back. They show footage of it, and then footage of Bryan Danielson attacking him when he was giving an update to the fans about one month ago. Ross says due to the injury, Rey cannot compete or be here tonight, but he is with us via satellite just a little while away in San Diego. The titantron shows Rey as his home state gives him a good ovation. J.R. asks him how he is feeling now. Rey says he has been doing everything he can do - and that isn't much. He says he wishes he could be there tonight and talks shortly about debuting here in the WWE on Smackdown 8 years ago, and to not be here - it really hurts him. He says to see everybody else there as well that was part of his past is really great too and wishes he could be there. Heyman asks him about Bryan Danielson assaulting him last month. Rey says he has no idea why Danielson would do that - other then boost his own ego. He says when he comes back, he's going to have a talk with Bryan Danielson. J.R. thanks him for his time and his update and asks if he has anything else to say. He says he does and thanks everybody for their support of him as he goes through the days not being able to perform in the ring. As for Bryan Danielson - when he returns, he better watch his back! Commercial BreakTag Team MatchThe Uso's vs Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay The crowd loved seeing Too Cool, as the bell rings. Jimmy is starting with Scotty and they go back and forth. Jimmy fights harder though, hitting some dirty moves and a few power moves. He and Jules make some frequent tags until Scotty squirms free and tags in Sexay. He climbs to the top rope and hits a dropkick as Jimmy comes running. As he works on Jules, Scotty hits the Worm, leading to Sexay hitting the Hip Hop Drop and getting the pinfall. Winners of the match: Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay (7:46) **1/2 Too Cool stand up in the middle of the ring and look around the satisfied crowd. The lights dim a bit and they begin their dance routine together. However, after only about 20 seconds - The Uso's come rushing from behind and take them down. They begin a beat down as the crowd boos but suddenly Rikishi makes his way down to the ring. The Uso's begin to ask what he is doing here as Rikishi get in the ring. They question their father as Scotty and Sexay get up. He walks in between the two teams and looks to them both. He backs Too Cool towards the ropes and takes out his sunglasses. The crowd pop once again as Too Cool begin to dance again. It doesn't last long as The Uso's once again beat down Scotty and Sexay. Rikishi isn't happy with his son's, and pulls them back by the hair and rams their heads together! They are dazed as Scotty and Sexay rise back up. Sexay hits a dropkick on Jimmy, sending him back into the corner. Scotty then does the same to Jules, who lands right in front of his brother. Rikishi looks around as Scotty shouts "it's time for some tough love!" and Rikishi backs up into the corner, pulling up on his tights and giving the stink face to his own twin sons. The Uso's roll out of the ring in complete disgust as Rikishi puts his sunglasses back on, along with Scotty and Sexay. They break out in dance once more. Commercial BreakWe return and Mr. McMahon struts his way down to the ring, getting boos from the crowd. He gets on the mic with a grin and says that a few weeks after Smackdown was formed 11 years ago, he became the WWE Champion on this very show. He says he is honored to be a part of Smackdown history, being the first man to win the WWE Championship on this show. He says throughout these years many have come onto Smackdown and many have gone. Some have had good experiences, some have had bad, some have had both. He says that he is one of those with both and points to the titantron. It shows him winning the WWE Championship, he says that is one of his good experiences. It then cuts to Survivor Series 2003 and shows clips of him getting beaten to a bloody pulp by Undertaker. He says that is one of his bad experiences. He says so much has happened throughout these years and it is all thanks to the fans. He laughs and says he's just kidding, it's all thanks to Vincent Kennedy McMahon! He says without himself, Smackdown wouldn't be here - nor would the WWE itself be here! He says he has nobody to thank but himself. He gets loud boos and begins to exit the ring with a huge smile, but a very strange static video plays on the titantron. Vince backs up to the middle of the ring looking around the arena in confusion. After it is over, he yells at the production truck telling them to get this fixed - or he'll fire them right on the spot! He steps out of the ring and storms up the ramp furious. Big Show is shown walking backstage, as he is in action next. Commercial BreakSingles MatchBig Show vs John Cena The bell rings as Cena unloads with strikes. Show overpowers him a bit though, and tosses him around. He hits some of his signature slaps to the chest in the corner up until Cena fires back. He tries for the Attitude Adjustment mid-match, but can't pick Show up. He gets met with a chokeslam, but he kicks out of the pin. Show then pulls him up, using his strength once again. He goes for a military press, but Cena slips off and hits him with a few shoulder blocks that eventually tumble the big man down. He hits the top rope leg drop, and then uses all his strength to hit the Attitude Adjustment and get the pinfall. Winner of the match: John Cena (9:45) *** Cena celebrates his victory to the crowd and makes his way to the back. Commercial BreakWe return as John Cena is walking backstage. As he is doing so, he stops as The Rock is staring at him. They step up to each other and Rock mentions he just saw him at the beginning of the year. Cena says that is true, had a good time that night. Rock says everybody has been talking for years about John Cena going one on one with the great one and it has never happened. Cena laughs and says he'd love to get into the ring with Rock. Rock says don't get him wrong, he'd love to face John Cena to and whip his candy ass and check him into the Smackdown hotel! He simmers down and says that it could happen some day - and we'll just have to wait and see. Cena says that they will and walks off. Non-Title MatchUnified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty w/Natalya vs World's Greatest Tag Team The bell rings as Benjamin begins with Smith. He works on him with some athletic moves for the opening minutes but gets caught in a springboard for a powerslam. Both men make tags as Kidd and Haas go at it. Haas works on him with some amateur wrestling moves, and then mixes it up once Kidd does. Kidd, however, makes a tag to Smith so when he ducks a clothesline from Haas, Haas is lifted for the Hart Attack. Benjamin is backed off during the pinfall. Winners of the match: The Hart Dynasty (9:03) *** The Dynasty celebrate their victory as the World's Greatest Tag Team get up and in the ring as the two teams stare down. The Hart Dynasty are unsure of what is going to happen, but Haas and Benjamin offer a handshake. They accept it and both teams raise each others arms out of respect. Commercial BreakSheamus makes his way down to the ring to loud boos as we return. He grabs a mic and says that at Summerslam he did what he promised to do - make a statement. He says he was the reason ECW ended. He says that unlike Drew McIntyre and the rest of the Anti-ECW Alliance members, he wasn't being ordered around by Mr. McMahon to do it - he did it himself. He says when he kicked Rob Van Dam in the skull - it was one of the greatest feelings he has ever had. He says thanks to him at Summerslam and last week as well - "The Whole Dam Show" is not here tonight and won't be here on Smackdown for a long time and it's all thanks to The Celtic Warrior! Loud boos fill the arena once again and he says that things have been different since then. He says that people back in his home of Ireland have been coming up to him and saying "Fella, you did a good thing" but then people here, fans of Rob Van Dam, "How could you do such a thing?" He calls the American people idiots for not realizing that he was helping himself and ECW. He says ECW was way past its prime and it needed to die - and nobody could get the job done except for him. He says now he goes to Night of Champions where he will become the WWE Champion! He throws the mic down. Commercial BreakTag Team MatchEdge and Jack Swagger vs Randy Orton and WWE Champion Christian The bell sounds as Orton and Swagger start off. They lock up, Swagger taking the early advantage with his amateur skill. Orton fires back with his usual crazy way, and makes a tag to Christian after a few minutes of total control. Swagger gets a cheap shot in though and tags in Edge, who works his brother - who won the WWE Title from him - very hard. He goes for a spear quickly, but Christian moves and tags in Orton. He goes and takes down Edge with multiple slams and clotheslines until Swagger is tagged in. Orton ducks a clothesline and hits a quick RKO and gets the pinfall. Winners of the match: Randy Orton and Christian (10:35) ***1/4 Orton and Christian celebrate their victory. Edge gets in the ring and goes to strike at Orton, but he anticipates it and scares him off with a glare. Swagger get up, still dazed, and Christian takes this one as he delivers the Killswitch to him. He and Orton stare down Edge. Commercial BreakTag Team MatchMelina and Molly Holly vs Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Torrie Wilson The bell rings as Beth starts off with Melina. They go at it, Beth slamming her a lot well Melina tries to get some offense in. She does roll her up a few times and hit a few aggressive punches and kicks. She eventually tags in Molly, not wanting anything more. She looks great as she is able to keep pace with Beth, but ultimately gets met with the Glam Slam. Beth then tags in Torrie, who goes on to hit a sit out facebuster and gets the pin on her fellow alumni. Winners of the match: Torrie Wilson and Beth Phoenix (6:25) ** After the match, as Beth and Torrie celebrate, Melina begins to yell at Molly as she is getting up. Molly lets her get it out before kicking her in the gut and hits a hard DDT. She climbs to the top turnbuckle and proceeds to hit the Molly-Go-Round. She and Torrie then go on to raise the Women's Champion arm in the victory. We cut to Josh Mathews, who introduces his guest at this time to be Kurt Angle. He asks what his opinions are on facing Chris Jericho with The Rock as the special guest referee in what is something we'd see 10 years ago. Kurt says each time he goes out to that ring, it feels like 10 years ago because he knows he still has it. He says he doesn't care if The Rock is the special guest referee, he's going to make Chris Jericho tap out like he used to. He says if The Rock wants to get involved too, he'd be more then happy to put his Hollywood career on hold by snapping his ankle in half! Oh it's true, it's damn true! Commercial BreakWe return as the arena is scanned, Jim Ross and Paul Heyman saying it is time for our main event! However, "King of Kings" hits around the arena as the crowd rises to their feet exploding in cheers. Soon, Triple H makes his way out to the ramp. He gets down to the ring as the crowd chant "Welcome Back" loudly. He gets on the mic and says it has been two damn long months! He says that he thought he wouldn't be coming back after Fatal 4 Way, but their was no surgery required. He says all he needed was some time off. He says that everybody has forgotten that he was coming back tonight, saying about a month and a half ago a video played telling everybody it was time to reboot the game come tonight. He says he is really here as a part of Smackdown thanks to that trade between Teddy Long and Abraham Washington and he has one goal set - to once again be back on the throne as the King of Kings! The crowd go ecstatic again and he slowly steps out of the ring - making his way up the ramp. He stops as he reaches the top and turns back to the crowd, spreading his arms out in taunt once more before heading to the back. Commercial BreakSingles Match Referee: The RockKurt Angle vs Chris Jericho The bell rings as the two lock up, each using some great technical moves on each other in the early goings. Jericho gets out of the ring a few times to regain his composure. He gets in, ducking a shot, and hits a few dropkicks and hard clotheslines. They continue onward with amazingly great chemistry within their action. Jericho goes for a lionsault, but Angle manages to roll a bit and catch his leg. He pulls him into the ankle lock, but Jericho scrambles enough to get out. He quickly escapes out of the ring, Angle following, only to get thrown into the steel steps as Jericho breaks the count-out. Commercial BreakWe return as Jericho is working Angle in the corner. We get clips of during the commercial Jericho launching him into the steel post on the outside. Angle quickly fights back, hitting a belly to belly suplex and then a German. He goes for the Angle Slam, but Jericho manages to pull himself off and hit a sudden Codebreaker. He goes for the pin, only getting a two count. He tells Rock to count faster and slaps him across the face. Rock then unloads with strikes to him as the crowd goes wild! He ducks a shot and hits the Rock Bottom. Jericho is stunned, and once he struggles to his feet he is hit with the Angle Slam and pinned for the 3. Winner of the match: Kurt Angle (15:50) ***** The crowd is going wild for what was an amazing match. Not just in star-power, but action wise. Rock is raising Angle's arm, but suddenly pulls him in and hits the Rock Bottom! The crowd pop once more as he looks around the arena, pulling off his referee shirt and tossing it to the outside as he has no elbow pads on. He then hits the People's Elbow as Angle flops around and then out of the ring. Rock climbs to the top turnbuckle, raising his fist in the air with his classic taunt as Jim Ross and Paul Heyman thank everybody for being a part of this show as it comes to a close.

-Having The Rock show up makes this a huge event for Smackdown. Him as Special Referee is something I did before and it's a great idea -Gangrel showing up is nice for nostalgia. Not a fan of him winning, but I love the idea of Kingston/Danielson at NOC -Good Mysterio stuff, I can see him facing Danielson upon his return -Again, not a fan of the current roster losing to the older guys. Rikishi & Too Cool dancing was a nice moment -Wonder what the static noise was about. Intrigued for sure -Cena beating Show was the obvious call -Like the Rock/Cena tease -If any of the older guys could've and should've won, it was the World's Greatest Tag Team, especially since Shelton is still on the active roster. It's not bad that the Dynasty won though -The Sheamus promo was solid -I wish Christian would've main evented this show considering he's the Champion -Awesome to see Molly back for a night, too bad she lost -The Triple H promo was nice -Excellent main event, love Angle & Jericho so it was awesome. Rock being there just added to the match
Great nostalgic edition of Smackdown, a few booking decisions I questions, but good nonetheless.

-Huge start with The Rock as the Special Guest Referee tonight. I can't wait for it. -Gangrel winning was highly unpredicted. Kingston/Danielson at NOC sounds great and I wonder if Gangrel is permanent roster member. -Too Cool and Rikishi winning was good nostalgic stuff. I like that. -Good promo for Vince. I really wonder what the static was all about. Can't wait to find out though. -Cena was a classic part of SmackDown. More than Big Show IMO. So Cena winning is great. -Hart Dynasty over WGTT is solid. Really hoping that you bring WGTT back. Happy to see Sheamus got a promo considering he didn't get a match. My choice for the WWE Championship is, I predict, it won't be Orton or Edge. So any of the other three I think. -Torrie coming back is great! Her and Beth winning was the best call possible. -Triple H returning is great. I bet he's going after Cena :X Crap! -Figured that Angle would win considering the Rock/Jericho feud. This would be perfect for Mania' if only you could stretch this about 7-8 months. -Great SmackDown; nice to see some new things. Can't wait to see what's next for you.

-Great way to open up the show with the Rock. Him being the ref between Angle/Jericho is great. -Gangrel winning the battle royal was highly unexpected by me. Danielson/Kingston at NoC should be great. -Mysterio/Danielson feud would be nice for Mysterio's return. -Too Cool winning is good. Rikishi and Too Cool standing tall over the Uso's is nice. -That promo is something Vince would actually do. Wonder what the static was all about. -Cena over Show is the best call. -Rock/Cena tease is good. I doubt it would ever happen though. -HD over WGTT is good. Them shaking hands was something unexpected, for I wish WGTT would return. -Sheamus talking about ending ECW, and going to win the WWE Championship is good. -Christian and Orton winning is nice. -Holly and Torrie returning for this night is great. Them standing tall is solid. -Triple H's return promo is great. Wonder whats next for him. -Angle over Jericho because of the Rock is decent. The Rock laying out Angle and standing tall to end the show is awesome. Overall, great Smackdown.

WWERAW: Time to catch up. I like the SmackDown is back on Thursdays. Interesting NXT pairings, Santino and Sheffield should be a laugh. I wonder who'll face The Hart Dynasty at NOC. This is something I'm not a fan of, John Morrison a former World Champion in this diary, won the title at WrestleMania and doesn't make the scramble. Just not a fan of the decision. The Dudebusters would be nice challengers for the gold. Barrett over The Intercontinental Champion is some great momentum. Decent promo from the Miz. Batista over Shawn Michaels was a surprise, Legacy attack? hmm intriguing. DiBiase making the scramble is good. I wonder what Hardy has in store, face turn I'm guessing. Gail Kim over Eve is good. John Cena wualifying over Jericho is fine but it leaves me wondering what the likes of Jericho, Morrison and HBK have to do on the PPV. Good aftermath to the main event with The Miz watching on.
WWEECW: The final episode. Heyman as commentator will be awesome. Jackson winning the battle royal makes sense but it leaves me wondering if he really needed it, he just qualified for the scramble. Zeke is a monster. If you need Pro-Rookie graphics for NXT, PM me. RVD as the last ECW Champion is ideal, Dreamer returning is great. Very short edition but still good.
WWESD!: Christian oppening the show is ideal, him defending it in a scramble is somewhat worrying however. Swagger entering the scramble is good news. It looks like Kingston vs. Danielson at NOC. Bourne over Ziggler is cool but Evan needs some more building before cashing in. Kane/SES fued looks good although I hope you do something completely different to the normal SES fueds. Orton qualifying is good, McIntyre needs something to do on SmackDown though. Sheamus qualifying also makes sense, SmackDown scrambles getting better and better. RVD getting some revenge is awesome after the attacks Sheamus has been commiting. Decent six man tag, Uso's going over is cool. Orton's interference leading to Angle's defeat was a good way to go about it. Again this leaves me wondering what Angle will do at the next pay-per-view. Good show.
I'll get onto the next week of shows later.

WWE SmackDown: Thursday 26th August 2010...Pretty solid opening promo with The Rock in the ring, nostalgia a lot, and it's nice that Chris Jericho interrupted. Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle tonight seems massive, especially with The Rock officiating. Opening contest, a battle royal is okay, and it's good that Gangrel had shock value but to be honest Gangrel shouldn't have won. He's the least talented in that match, and he isn't even known to be signed to contract and is about ten years past his prime. In addition, he won and then the action was on Kofi Kingston and Bryan Danielson: what is the exact point in Gangrel and where does he fit into anything? Not a fan of that. Rey Mysterio's promo seemed pretty cool, wonder how much longer it will be before Jack Swagger appears. Again, terrible that non contracted superstars reappearing and that are past relevence come in and defeat superstars that have potential. Again, it's more shock value two matches in a row...lousy move. Too Cool should have been better losing to The Uso's: The Uso's look ridiculous now. And even more so with Rikishi appearing, though that's pretty good for historic purposes. Vince McMahon's promo was good, intriguing with the static. But him mentioning The Undertaker makes perfect sense. John Cena beating Big Show came as no surprise in a good first hour main event. Not a fan of The Rock almost looking down on John Cena. They're both icons; thus they need to look as equal as possible. Good reunion with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, but best decision for the Hart Dynasty to retain. I'd like to see a feud for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships involving these two some day. Sheamus' promo was acceptable regarded abut Rob Van Dam. Randy Orton and Christian beating Edge and Jack Swagger is a good second hour main event, nice and easy does it. Christian, Orton and Edge feuding would be interesting. Molly Holly retaining is great; good win for Beth Phoenix and Torrie Wilson though, against Molly and Melina. Would like Molly to play more of a significent final role before retirement going into next year's WrestleMania maybe. This show is so beefed. Good promo with Triple H, good promo from him. Lastly, solid main event win for Angle against Jericho with Rock taking down Jericho. A good show, but too much focus on the old stars of yesterday and not enough on today and the focus of today. We're now on SyFy on Thursdays; but not a lot of the SyFy audience know what to expect: too much focus is on the past and not the future. Could have been written better.

Smackdown: Nice touch with The Rock, you got his sarcasm and insults down perfect, made me feel giddy reading that. Solid opener, although i hate Gangrel winning as soon as he re-debuts. Rikishi and Too Cool dancing is cool, made me laugh. Static noise eh? Interesting.... Triple H coming back is cool, nice way to bring him back. A bit action packed this SD is. Nice win for Angle.
Love the detail and video embedding, quality all round!

Thanks for the catch-up, AJ.
SmackDown, huge opening segment with The Rock, looking forward to Jericho/Angle. Love Gangrel winning the Battle Royal, and then Kofi Kingston versus Bryan Danielson for the United States Championship is huge. I knew about your ideas with The Usos/Too Cool, loved how you wrote it. Pretty obvious what's happening with the McMahon segment, haha. Good to see John Cena over the Big Show. Glad that The Hart Dynasty won here, the World's Greatest Tag Team were never a favourite of mine. A Sheamus/RVD feud on the horizon for when he returns? Orton and Christian winning is good, especially with Christian as Champion. Torrie Wilson back for tonight is great, and obvious to give her the victory alongside Beth Phoenix. Love the ending with Kurt Angle winning, and then followed by The Rock delivering the People's Elbow.
Great SmackDown, look forward to more.

l AUGUST 30TH, 2010 l TD GARDEN: BOSTON, MA l "900 Reasons"
The opening pyros go off as we are welcomed to the 900th episode of Monday Night Raw by Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. As they are running down of what matches we have to come, World Heavyweight Champion The Miz struts his way down to the ring as the crowd boos. He grabs a mic and says tonight is the 900th episode of Monday Night Raw and look who is starting the show off - the future of the WWE! He gets a lot of heat and goes on saying that everybody can boo him all he wants, but the fact is - he is the World Heavyweight Champion. He says that a lot of people have said his reign has been a fluke - since he cashed in his Money in the Bank on the injured champion. Miz tells everybody in the arena to shut up as they are booing him. He continues saying that he earned the Money in the Bank briefcase and therefore he earned the World Heavyweight Championship! He goes on stating that he is the best World Champion in the history of this company and he could list 900 reasons why. He finally says it is time to get down to business because Teddy Long has told him he has to be in action tonight. He says that there is a catch though, he gets to choose his opponent, because"I'm The Miz and I'm Awesome!" He drags on announcing who it is before saying his opponent for the night is none other then Santino Marella! Non-Title MatchWorld Heavyweight Champion The Miz vs Santino Marella The bell rings as Santino flexes his muscles comedically. Miz ducks a clothesline and immediately drops Santino with one of his own. He stomps him down aggressively and beats him up in the corner. A few comedic moments for the next minute or so as Santino continues to make Miz look like a fool, but nothing major. He points to the sky, trying to get Miz to look up, but gets kicked in the gut and hit with the Skull Crushing Finale and pinned. Joking over. Winner of the match: The Miz (1:47) N/A The crowd boo as Miz takes his World Heavyweight Championship, placing his foot over Santino's chest acting as if this was a huge defeat. He pulls his foot off, throwing the World Title over his shoulder and stepping out of the ring, strutting up the ramp with a grin. Commercial BreakNon-Title MatchMark Henry vs Intercontinental Champion R-Truth The bell rings, Truth firing off with strikes. However, Henry overpowers him and tosses him in the corner. He squashes him a few times and hits a couple of slams. Truth fights back though, managing to squirm out of the World's Strongest Slam and trip Henry down. He works on him well he is on one knee, but Henry manages to regain his footing. He ducks a clothesline though, hits a low dropkick, and quickly delivers the Axe Kick and picks up the pin. Winner of the match: R-Truth (7:50) ** Truth celebrates, but Wade Barrett comes rushing down to the ring. He goes for a clothesline, but Truth manages to duck under it. He fires off with shots and eventually goes for the Axe Kick, Barrett just barely escaping out of the ring and backing away. The two stare down. Commercial BreakTag Team MatchThe Dudebusters w/Curt Hawkins vs Kaval and Shelton Benjamin The bell sounds as Kaval starts off with Trent. They lock up and each show their sides of strength. Trent mimics Kaval, only to be met with a series of kicks and strikes. Kaval controls him for a couple minutes until he is tripped into the corner and Caylen is tagged in. He works Kaval for the next couple minutes, gaining momentum, until he is kicked in the back of the head and Benjamin is tagged in. He hits the Paydirt, Hawkins immediately jumping onto the apron. The referee tells him to get off and they begin to argue. Trent comes takes Kaval out and Hawkins jumps down as Caylen rolls Benjamin up, getting the 3. Winners of the match: The Dudebusters (8:26) **1/2 Trent and Caylen quickly go up the ramp with Hawkins. They taunt at Benjamin, who is in disbelief, and Kaval. Kaval tries to calm him down as he yells in complaint about The Dudebusters actions. They laugh on the ramp as they raise each others arms high in the air. Commercial BreakWe return as Santino Marella is shown being checked on by doctors. He is holding his neck from the Skull Crushing Finale as Matt Hardy steps in. He asks Santino if he is alright, and he responds saying his neck is hurt just a little bit. Hardy says it was actually a rhetorical question - because no matter what Santino says, it doesn't matter. He suddenly kicks him in the face and mounts on top of him, unloading with strikes. Meanwhile, the doctor is calling for help. Hardy gets up and shoves the doctor away telling him to stay out of this. Santino tries to get up, and Hardy kicks him in the gut, following it up with the Twist of Fate. Security comes rushing in to stop Matt, who just laughs at the down Santino. He walks out. We cut to Josh Mathews, who introduces his guest at this time to be Chris Jericho. He asks about the whole thing going on with John Morrison. He says Morrison cost him an opportunity at gaining the Intercontinental Championship by failing and losing to Wade Barrett in the triple threat last week. He says that if it was just him and Barrett - he would be the #1 contender. But they had to put John Morrison in there. He says he is somebody undeserving of any championship belt whatsoever. He states it is time for somebody who is the best in the world to teach the equivalent of a child what a real champion is. Commercial BreakTag Team MatchChris Jericho and Cody Rhodes w/Legacy vs John Morrison and Shawn Michaels Morrison and Rhodes begin as the bell rings. They lock up, Morrison getting the upper hand with a takedown. He hits some nice dropkicks and a few arm drags. Rhodes fights back dirty though. Even as he goes for pins, he uses the ropes or tights multiple times before tagging in Jericho. He misses the Lionsault though, and HBK is tagged in. HBK and Jericho go at it. Rhodes makes a blind tag before Jericho gets a superkick. Rhodes gets in the ring and quickly rolls Michaels up with the tights in grip for the cheap 3 count. Winners of the match: Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho (10:19) ***1/4 Rhodes quickly hops up in celebration. However, Michaels gets up as well and gets in his face. As they exchange words, Legacy strike from behind and beat him down. Morrison comes in for the save, only for Jericho to meet him with a Codebreaker out of nowhere. Michaels is hit with the Cross Rhodes. Legacy and Jericho stand over their rivals in satisfaction of what they have done. Commercial Break#1 Contendership Match to the Diva's ChampionshipGail Kim vs Natalya Natalya is alone to the ring for this one, as the bell rings. The two divas lock up, Natalya overpowering Kim early on. However, she is quickly sweeped down and Kim uses her technical abilities on her. They each sway momentum actually showing some solid action, Kim hitting a hard spinning DDT in a reverse that comes off nice, but only getting a two count. They continue going at it until Natalya ducks a shot and trips Gail into the Sharpshooter, quickly making her tap. Winner of the match: Natalya (6:12) ** Natalya helps Kim up and raises her hand in a show of respect. However, Laycool come out to the ramp shouting Natalya's name over and over to get her attention. Layla says that they have something to tell her about. McCool says that at Night of Champions, not only will she prove she is more superior, but show Natalya has no heart! Her and Layla giggle at the corny joke and walk off backstage. A promo video hypes Night of Champions in 20 days. Commercial BreakWe return as Natalya is still in the ring, now with The Hart Dynasty and Bret Hart. Cole explains that The Hart Dynasty and Bret Hart were asked to come out here during the commercial break, and we are going to find out why right now. Mr. McMahon makes his way down to the ring getting boos. He gets on the mic and thanks them for following orders - especially Bret. He says he doesn't want this Montreal Screwjob to continue dragging on since 13 years ago, and he wants to put it all behind them right now. He offers a handshake as Bret looks around. He has a mic of his own and asks Vince if he is serious. He says he doesn't joke about things like this, this is a very serious matter. He offers his hand once again as Bret seems skeptical. The Hart Dynasty and Natalya don't have much of an opinion and shrug to Bret, who accepts the handshake. Vince says that's the spirit! He looks around the arena before saying that the past 13 years of history are in the past now and do not matter anymore. He looks to Bret as he smiles and suddenly kicks him in the gut and drives the microphone into his head. Kidd and Smith quickly tend to Bret before going after Vince, who has already gotten out of the ring. He backs up the ramp, laughing, and says that this is far from over. However, the same static video from Smackdown begins to play again. Vince storms backstage furious as Bret is tended to. Commercial BreakTag Team MatchBatista and Ezekiel Jackson vs Ted DiBiase and John Cena The bell rings as DiBiase starts with Batista. He is quickly overpowered, but he outsmarts The Animal multiple times by playing possum. He manages to take him down a few times before tagging in Cena. Batista wants no part of it and tags in Jackson, who is struck at by Cena before clotheslining him down with authority. He eventually goes for the Book of Ezekiel, but Cena manages to jump down and trip him, applying the STF. Batista breaks it up though. Commercial BreakWe return to DiBiase striking at Jackson in the corner. He whips him off the ropes and hits a spinning elbow. He continues momentum for another minute until Jackson big boots him and makes the tag to Batista. They each work him with their strength well making frequent tags, until Jackson takes to long on a clothesline and DiBiase dives and tags in Cena. He comes in and takes down Jackson multiple times before sending Batista off the apron. He hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle on the downed Jackson, and as he rises, he gets met with the Attitude Adjustment and the pinfall is made. Winners of the match: John Cena and Ted DiBiase (12:33) *** Cena and DiBiase celebrate the victory. Batista soon gets back in the ring as Jackson is getting up. Cena and DiBiase offer for more, but Miz struts his way out to the ramp, mic in hand, and says there is no need to continue fighting. He says that the fact is it doesn't matter who wants to hurt who, because he is the World Heavyweight Champion and at Night of Champions still will be after the Championship Scramble. He gets in the ring and points to each man, "There is nothing you, you, you, or you can do about it." He goes for the 'I'm The Miz and I'm Awesome' bit, but gets cut off by a kick to the gut from Batista. They all begin to beat down on Miz together and eventually toss him out of the ring. However, the challengers break into a brawl right after as Raw comes to a close.

WWE RAW: Monday 31st August 2010...Decent start to the 900th episode of RAW, the World Heavyweight Champion, The Miz fittingly making his way out to the ring, and a good promo from Miz showcasing his arrogance, but Santino Marella? Weird decision, but generates his heat. Easy win for Miz is predictable, but it's a little bit odd considering Marella beat Miz to win the WWE United States Championship seven months ago. Mark Henry? What is he even doing now, heel or face? R-Truth winning was obvious as he needed to gain momentum, but I still want Wade Barrett to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. I just have zero interest in R-Truth now. The Dudebusters beating Kaval and Shelton Benjamin; good win for Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta but shame for Shelton to be stuck with Kaval. Great first hour main event for Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho beating John Morrison and Shawn Michaels, wish it was properly main eventing though. Natalya beating Gail Kim is alright, I suppose; Michelle McCool facing Natalya seems nice to me. The Hart Dynasty and Vince McMahon, more promo with McMahon before the static came on. Lastly, great win for John Cena and Ted Dibiase against Batista and Ezekiel Jackson; I like that combination of Zeke and Batista. An average episode really, all promoting Night of Champions.

-The Miz was a very weird decision. But regardless of that, Miz winning was a good call. -Truth over Henry was a good call to give him some momentum before defending his IC Championship. -The Dudebusters over Kaval and Benjamin is a good call as well. Hoping to see The Dudebusters vs. Hart Dynasty or so. -Jericho and Rhodes over Michaels and John Morrison is a shocking call. Hope that Morrison does not go down to mid-card again. -Natalya winning was good. Natalya vs. Michelle McCool is a good call. -LOL at the static video again. Wonder what this could be leading to. -Cena and DiBiase over Batista and Jackson is a shocker. But I like the call. -Good show; looking forward to Night of Champions.

900th Episode of RAW, here we go. Glad to see Miz beat Santino, obviously. R-Truth and Barrett is an interesting feud. Would love to see Barrett take the belt down the road. interesting team in Kaval and Shelton, sad to see them lose thought. Shocked to see Cody pin HBK, but it was a cheap win afterall. Like the idea of Legacy and Jericho joining forces. Very happy to see Natalya become the #1 contender to the Diva's title. Interested to see what the static video turns out to be. Liked the whole segment with Vince and the Harts. Great last segment and Main Event, loved that they all beat up the Miz and then brawled with each other. Would absolutely love to see Ted win it at Night of Champions.

l AUGUST 31ST, 2010 l TIMES UNION CENTER: ALBANY, NY l "The Competition Has Only Just Begun"
The pyros go off and Matt Striker is already in the ring as they simmer. He welcomes everybody to NXT, episode two. He says that tonight we will have our first challenge here on NXT and he goes on to introduce the Pros and Rookies , and they make their way down to the ring. Striker asks that the pros stay outside of the ring, and shows the rookies a mat with a timer connected to it. He says that tonight we will find out who can work their abdominal area the quickest. He says that the goal here tonight is to do the most crunches within a minute! The rookie to do so will get the reward of facing one of the eight pros of their choice. The camera shows Steamboat glaring at Jericho and Watson at Ryder. Striker says if they remove their arms from their neck or chest at any time, they will be disqualified from the competition. He calls up the rookies one at a time, everybody except Otunga managing to make it through the minute as dropped his arms at 53 seconds and had a fit. Striker then reveals how many crunches each rookie did as they are shown on the titantron. Rookie | Crunches | Alex Riley | 42 | Darren Young | 35 | David Otunga | DQ | Heath Slater | 33 | Johnny Curtis | 38 | Percy Watson | 37 | Richie Steamboat | 29 | Skip Sheffield | 31 |
Striker congratulates Riley as he has won the crunches competition. He says we will give him time to decide which pro he will face, and moves on to the pros. He asks MVP what he thinks of Otunga's performance. MVP asks why he couldn't finish this, he says he knows that he had it won - he was blowing through each crunch, yet he ends up failing in the end. Otunga comes up and says he knows he had it won - but he slipped and then tells MVP to shut his mouth and not worry about him. Striker asks Chris Jericho what he thought of Steamboat. He says he is disgusted; he said last week he didn't want to be the pro of this parasite because he knows he'll be a failure just like his father. Steamboat goes to strike at Jericho, but Watson and Young hold him back. Striker lastly goes to Swagger, asking what his thoughts are on his rookie, Alex Riley, winning. He says he knew that he'd be able to pull it off, because just like him, he is not only better then everybody else but is the most athletic rookie of these eight. Striker thanks them for their opinions and goes back to Riley. He says now that he has had time to think, he must choose which pro he will face tonight. Riley laughs a bit and says that none of them, excluding his pro Jack Swagger, deserve the opportunity to face the future winner of NXT - but since he must choose; he selects John Morrison. Striker asks why, and Riley says since he'll win this competition he'll get a shot at the World Championship - so he wants to prove to everybody that he can beat, and mockingly calls Morrison former, world champions. Striker says then it is set - tonight it will be Alex Riley vs John Morrison! Commercial BreakWe return with footage from last night's Raw where The Miz made quick work of his selected opponent, Santino Marella. Tag Team MatchWorld Heavyweight Champion The Miz and Johnny Curtis vs Santino Marella and Skip Sheffield The bell rings as the rookies start things off. Sheffield overpowers him early on, using a lot of "-breaker" moves. He goes for a running lariat, but Curtis manages to roll under it hits a hard spinning wheel kick. He works him on the mat and makes the tag to Miz, who uses some dirty moves. Sheffield manages to big boot him, and tags in Santino. He goes for the top rope headbutt, but Miz rolls and tags in Curtis, who hits a springboard leg drop and gets the pin. Winners of the match: The Miz and Johnny Curtis (7:24) ** Miz and Curtis celebrate the victory and exit the ring. Sheffield gets in and helps Santino up, who thanks him. However, he shows a vicious side of him compared to his hug last week following a victory - and big boots his pro down. He backs into the corner, winding his arm, and Santino gets up to the hard lariat. Sheffield exits the ring, seeming not to care at all for what he has done to his own pro. Commercial BreakWe return, getting a promo video for Night of Champions in 3 weeks. Tag Team MatchDavid Otunga and Richie Steamboat w/MVP and Chris Jericho vs Percy Watson and Darren Young w/Zack Ryder and Shelton Benjamin The match begins with Young and Steamboat, the 2nd generation rookie picking up the momentum early on with some fast paced action. Young fights back though, avoiding a corner dropkick and getting Steamboat in the tree of woe - to which he low dropkicks him in the face. Him and Watson make frequent tags. Steamboat tries to tag Otunga in a few times, but he refuses. Young hits a full nelson into a flapjack after a 3rd refusal and gets the pinfall. Winners of the match: Darren Young and Percy Watson (6:56) **1/2 Young and Watson celebrate their victory. Benjamin applauds well Ryder walks up the ramp, obviously not caring at all. Otunga and Steamboat get out of the ring as MVP yells at Otunga in question. Jericho and Steamboat, meanwhile, are on the other side of the ring. Jericho is right in his rookie's face, and only a few words can be made out. He slaps him and storms off. MVP gets shoved by Otunga, and when walking away, MVP clotheslines his own rookie down! He mounts on top of him and begins to strike down ferociously as referees have to come down to pull him off Otunga. Commercial BreakSingles MatchAlex Riley w/Jack Swagger vs John Morrison w/Heath Slater The bell sounds as Morrison quickly takes Riley down by sweeping out the legs and hitting a few fast paced moves. Riley manages to lift him up on an early Moonlight Drive attempt and drop him with an inverted atomic drop. He clotheslines Morrison down and takes some strong momentum in the next couple minutes. He gets cocky and goes for the You're Dismissed, but Morrison pushes off and hits a superkick. He then hits the Starship Pain and gets the pinfall. Winner of the match: John Morrison (9:49) *** Morrison and Slater celebrate the win as Swagger looks disappointed as Riley has bitten off more then he can chew here tonight. We cut to the top of the stage, where Matt Striker stands. He says tonight we saw the competition heat up! He says the rookies also learned not to bite off more then you can chew! He thanks everybody for watching NXT as the show fades to a close with a last image of Morrison and Slater raising each others arms in the ring.

WWE NXT: Tuesday 31st August 2010...Odd title for NXT in the diary thread. Sort of confusing. Liked the sound of this as it was pretty physical and thus enduring for the NXT Rookies. Glad you are making the competition rough for the Rookies compared to in real life. I do like the sound of the winning Rookie facing a Pro though. Alex Riley winning the competition is fine as I could see him trying to become the perfectionist of competitions here. I could see Darren Young coming close, too. It's no surprise that David Otunga ended up being disqualified but I feel that more than one disqualification should have occured in this test. Heath Slater in the middle is just like him: average. Johnny Curtis did pretty well, which surprised me honestly. Percy Watson too, glad he didn't win this though. Richie Steamboat? Low for him, what's going on here? Skip Sheffield low was expected as this test was more mainly focused on the smaller guys' stamina and endurance. Predictable win for the World Heavyweight Champion with his Rookie, The Miz and Johnny Curtis beating Santino Marella and Skip Sheffield. Marella and Sheffield fail to succeed this time. Sheffield with a mean streak could lead to some comical occurences involving Marella being scared of his own Rookie. Darren Young and Percy Watson beating Richie Steamboat and David Otunga; I can easily see Otunga eliminated extremely soon but, Richie's in the same boat right now with two losses and the lowest [next to disqualified Otunga] in the competition tonight. Zack Ryder's not caring amuses me. John Morrison beating Alex Riley is fine, pretty entertaining match here. A good show this week, hopefully you keep up with challenges like these weekly or if not, extremely often.
