WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 14th April 2014…Alright, let’s get deeply embedded in the hype for Extreme Rules. Classy tribute to the Ultimate Warrior – I kind of wish you left in his final promo from last week, though. Oh well. The Wyatt Family…open RAW for a change!? Madness. Fun promo with Wyatt talking about taking out the Undertaker. Very nice turn of events with Kane’s interruption, returning after two years. Nice twist here. I wouldn’t mind hearing from Kane about his return tonight – so hopefully we don’t have to wait until next week for an explanation from his perspective. Antonio Cesaro defeating Derrick Bateman made the most sense here, and it wouldn’t surprise me if you decided to have Cesaro win this tournament. Cesaro needs something going his way after all, he hasn’t been featured prominently so maybe this is your aim as he continues to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase. I wasn’t about to see Bateman win the Intercontinental Championship with the aid of Tamina Snuka anyway – it makes Derrick look silly to a degree. Ryback laughing at Bateman was fun. Dean Ambrose with a victory against Alberto Del Rio came as no surprise. I’m wondering how much longer Del Rio will last in the WWE. And a perfect example of the Purge’s power. Nice beatdown courtesy of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe – you’re going to have to elaborate on Zayn’s heel persona to get him over as a credible heel, though. But hold off on it, because it makes them look even more dominating. AJ Styles defeating the Miz was expected, given their recent feud. Hopefully you find something good for Miz to sink his teeth into throughout 2014. Cesaro and AJ Styles meeting should make for a solid match – hopefully Cesaro wins. Nice exchange with the handshake of respect. Wade Barrett sticking his nose in after this was well done, too. AJ Lee with a win against Summer Rae was fine – wouldn’t mind seeing Summer get a future reign as Divas Champion. Paige and AJ continue their brawling ways. A rematch is coming at Extreme Rules…last diva standing? Hehehe. Paul Heyman and Roman Reign’s words for Sheamus was nicely done, and I imagine it would be a solid match: but it made sense for the disqualification finish setting up a gimmick rematch for the United States Championship at Extreme Rules in a few weeks. Sheamus making the comeback was just expected. You’re keeping him strong, much like WWE. The inclusion of a table in that scene made it clear that a tables match would take place for Sheamus and Reigns’ match. Dean Ambrose and Triple H’s segment was very entertaining, as we now prepare for their rematch as well. I’m more interested in what your plan for after Extreme Rules is now. The Hardys defeating Cody Rhodes and Goldust was fine, continuing to make the WWE Tag Team Champions look strong – like they need it. Hoping that Jeff and Matt Hardy don’t have too long a reign. Also, can’t help but feel like we’ve seen this match before too many times. Mix it up a little if you can. I’m guessing by the Wyatt Family’s interaction with the Hardys after the match that we’re en route to seeing a WrestleMania XXX Ladder rematch at Extreme Rules: it makes sense, so no complaints. Cody Rhodes and Goldust having problems…reflective of current day? Hmm. I really hope you don’t make Stardust a thing, by the way. Rusev crushing Zack Ryder was vital to Rusev’s initial push, and the post-match was nice with the Big Show’s involvement. Show and Rusev’s exchange being teased was good, as you held off on it. Classic heel motions, here. I think you’re setting up a slow burn heel run for Seth Rollins, which should be exciting to see. No problem with this. Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler defeating John Cena and Seth Rollins made for an expected, dysfunctional tag team main event and I liked the ending especially. It sets up for even ground going into the fatal four-way WWE World Heavyweight Championship match come Extreme Rules. All round, a solid show and it was pure build for Extreme Rules. Still have like three weeks left – let’s see you make this build even more interesting. A side note, I wouldn’t have minded seeing some of those Ultimate Warrior memorial video packages taking place throughout the show.

APRIL 17, 2014 FROM THE BRIDGESTONE ARENA IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
The WWE signature intro proceeds to air, the cameras following up by coming in to the Bridgestone Arena from Nashville, Tennessee. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield give the welcoming as tonight, Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson faces one of the three men he defends against at Extreme Rules and the man he won the World Heavyweight Championship against a year ago at WrestleMania 29, Dolph Ziggler. Also, the Chief Operating Officer of WWE, Triple H, is in the arena to address Dean Ambrose. 'Here to Show the World' hits and out to the stage comes Dolph Ziggler to quite the ovation from the WWE Universe. After giving some showmanship for the crowd, he makes his way down and in to the ring, taking a microphone from ringside. "A lot of people have been saying that I'm not capable of winning the Undisputed WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. They say I don't match up to the likes of John Cena, Seth Rollins and the champion himself and the man I face tonight, Bryan Danielson." He proceeds to remind everyone how he was the World Heavyweight Champion going in to WrestleMania 29 where he faced Bryan and although he came up short, he gave him a run for his money. He also reminds everyone about this past Monday, pinning John Cena. "And how did I get in to that match at Extreme Rules? I beat the golden boy himself, Seth Rollins. One, two, three!" With a laugh, he says that he has been doubted for years and years but in a couple of weeks from now, all those doubters will be proved wrong when he walks away the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Speaking of Undisputed WWE Champion, Bryan Danielson's music hits and the Bridgestone Arena goes wild for his arrival. The 'Yes!' chants fill up and he comes down in to the ring with a microphone of his own, staring Ziggler down with a smile. "Dolph, you know I respect you after all of the battles we've been through. But we both know that I am the Undisputed WWE Champion for a reason. We both know that I have the 'Yes!' movement, we both know that I have a burning passion and we both know that I can make you tap out!" An 'ooh' comes from the crowd, Ziggler responding by telling Danielson that they both know he can drop him with a Zig Zag and beat him easy, just like he dropped him on Monday night. Bryan tells Dolph that he hasn't proved that he can beat him yet and he doesn't expect him to do that tonight or at Extreme Rules! Before the two can say anything more, Seth Rollins' music hits and the third of four men in the title match at Extreme Rules makes his way out, calling for his music to be cut. "Let me make something clear to the both of you clueless morons!" He says with a chuckle, coming up the steel steps and on to the apron. "Bryan, you got off easy by not having to face me one on one, because if John and Dolph weren't in this match I'd be destroying you! As for you, Dolph? Please. You're not even on the same level as I am!" A big 'you suck!' chant breaks out from the crowd and Rollins brushes it off, telling the crowd he knows that Tennessee sucks but he is only here because he has business to take care of. "Now if you'll excuse me," He says as the boos still come for the last remark. "I have a match, so you boys can get out of my ring and settle your crap later on tonight!" He tosses his mike to the outside, ready for action.
SETH ROLLINS DEF. CHRISTIAN » The match begins going back and forth, Christian surprising Rollins multiple times with near falls. Seth responds with a vicious snapping kick to the gut, followed by one to the face. He talks some smack and goes for the Curb Stomp, Christian managing to avoid it and hit a springboard crossbody that results in another two count. He eventually even nails the Killswitch, but Rollins stays resilient. A commercial break ensues and upon the return, Rollins keeps on beating Christian down. After a suicide dive, he brings him back in to the ring only to get stopped with a big shot to the face. 'Captain Charisma' eventually goes for the Frog Splash, only for Rollins to move out of the way, get back on to his feet and deliver the Curb Stomp! He hooks both legs up for the three count.
The boos come down on Rollins as he gets back on to his feet with a smile, ripping his arm away form the referee. "Don't touch me!" He shouts before putting the boots to Christian, despite the pleas of the official. He chucks him shoulder first in to the steel post and lets him crumble to the floor before finally backing away, a sick smile across his face.
Backstage is Renee Young and she introduces her guest at this time, the Big Show. She thanks him for his time and asks what it is that is fueling him to go after the newcomer Rusev. "First of all, Renee, Rusev is an impressive athlete. We've seen that. At WrestleMania, he shocked the world by eliminating me last in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. I offered him a handshake and what does he do? He spits in my face. The next night, he disrespects Hulk Hogan and disrespects the legacy of Andre the Giant. Not to mention, he is a hand picked athlete to destroy this company by Vladimir Putin." With a look of disgust across his face, Show says he isn't going to stand for somebody like Rusev around here and he is going to put things to an end with him before they can ever begin. He heads off, as he'll be in action next.
Returning, the announcement is made that Kane - whom made his return this past Monday - will be on Raw next week back in action for the first time in roughly two years.
BIG SHOW DEF. MARK HENRY » The bell rings, 'The World's Largest Athlete' and 'The World's Strongest Man' going back and forth, displaying their strength and aggression. Henry tries to go for the World's Strongest Slam but can't lift Show, whom comes back with a series of shots to the gut and a boot to the face. He goes for the chokeslam but Henry manages to stay grounded, the two behemoths continuing to go at it. After a missed splash in the corner, however, Show plants Henry with the Knockout Punch and covers him for the one, two, three.
Show gets back up slowly and after having his arm raised by the referee, takes a microphone from the outside and steps up to the ropes on the other side of the ring. "Rusev! Get your ass out here because I don't wanna wait any longer to kick it!" With the crowd behind him, Show begins to pace back and forth. After hollering some more for Rusev, there is no response but a loud bang is here, the Russian flag suddenly coming down from the ceiling! The WWE Universe boos, Show left furious over the disrespect clearly at the hand of Rusev.
The cameras transition backstage to show Triple H walking through the halls, an angry look across his face. He addresses his heated rival, Dean Ambrose, next.
'King of Kings' hits following the break and out comes the Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, all by his lonesome for the first time in a long time. He marches down and in to the ring, taking a microphone and staring out to the crowd. "For months now, I've been dealing with the nuisance that you all cheer... Dean Ambrose." A furious look comes across him as the WWE Universe begins to chant his name, causing him to snap and order they all shut up! "You are the reason that people like Dean Ambrose think they can rise above The Authority! You are the reason why my wife and I are no longer in control as we should be! You are the reason why I am going to destroy Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules by grinding his face in to that steel cage over and over again!" Hunter takes some deep breaths, vowing to not only do that but to smash his spine, break his ribs and crush his soul. He says that the time for fun and games are over with Ambrose and he has already made his life a living hell, but come Extreme Rules it will be a hell he has never been to before. The fans boo the COO, whom just shakes his head at their response, telling them all that it is just facts and they will have to learn to accept it.
He continues on, saying that although there is a few weeks left until his match at Extreme Rules, he wants to see Ambrose's face. "I want to see you face to face this Monday on Raw, Ambrose. I want to let you know exactly how I feel about you before I extinguish you. These people can be blinded by the light and they can keep on chanting your name but your name will be nowhere but on a tombstone once I am finished with you! That is, unless, you want to make a deal... this Monday, as I invite you to meet with me on Raw, I offer you a deal." He explains that he could do everything he has vowed to do at Extreme Rules, or Ambrose can accept this offer. That offer being that he can walk out of the WWE. "Walk out of this company, never look back and don't live with the regret of having the hell beaten out of you. The choice is yours, Dean... I'll see you on Monday." He drops his microphone down to the mat and exits the ring, making his way up the ramp and towards the back.
Still to come later on tonight, it will be Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson versus Dolph Ziggler. But coming up next, opponents on Monday in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament AJ Styles and Antonio Cesaro team up to take on members of Wade Barrett's Commonwealth, Damien Sandow and Drew McIntyre.
AJ STYLES AND ANTONIO CESARO DEF. DAMIEN SANDOW AND DREW MCINTYRE (W/THE COMMONWEALTH) » The bell sounds as Styles begins things with Sandow, the prior using his quickness to surprise the right-hand man of The Commonwealth. He and Cesaro work him for a while before Sandow comes back against Styles, making the tag to McIntyre. He gets in and stays aggressive, applying the boots and hitting some slams. Styles mounts a big comeback, however, and makes the tag to Cesaro - whom storms in with multiple clotheslines. After a big powerslam to McIntyre, he proceeds with the Cesaro Swing to the delight of the Nashville crowd. After fourteen times, he makes the tag to Styles and he flies off the ropes with his signature Spiral Tap! He hooks both legs up for the pinfall.
Angered, Wade Barrett sends Adam Rose and William Regal in to the ring in order to do some damage. Styles and Cesaro fight them both off, however, eventually leaving just Rose in the ring. After the Cesaro Swing, AJ proceeds to drop him with the Styles Clash! The crowd pops for the spot as he gets back on to his feet, motioning for Barrett's Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Cesaro taps him on the shoulder and motions for it himself, however, leading to a bit of a stare down before these two do battle on Monday night.
A promo video airs for the next WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, coming in less than four weeks on May 4, 2014 from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It features the official theme song "My Demons" by Starset. The one night of the year where WWE goes completely extreme: WWE Extreme Rules, live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.
Backstage stands Byron Saxton and he introduces his guest at this time, Diva's Champion AJ Lee. He thanks her for the time and asks why things have become so personal with her and Paige. "Why have things become so personal? Maybe you should ask Paige that, Byron. Because that wretched, psychotic bitch decided to shove me off a stage and try and end my career four months ago... she has a lot coming to her. That's why I talked to Mick Foley earlier and, well, at Extreme Rules Paige is going to get her rematch." She begins to giggle, Saxton asking what is so funny. AJ rolls her eyes and says she'll explain after she wins her match. She skips off, in action next. The cameras transition inside the arena to show Eva Marie waiting in the ring.
DIVA'S CHAMPION AJ LEE DEF. EVA MARIE IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The match begins and after AJ hands her title to the outside, Eva jumps her from behind. She begins to clobber the Diva's Champion across the back of the head but gets quickly shoved back and blasted with a knee to the stomach. Lee completely dominates her for a minute and starts to toy around a bit, laughing to the crowd before planting Eva with a kick to the face. She lets her rise back up slowly before locking in the Black Widow, Marie tapping out almost immediately.
The crowd cheers as AJ lets up on the hold, the referee retrieving her championship belt. After skipping around the ring a few times, she takes a microphone from ringside. "Paige... my dear, dear crumpet. Like I said, you'll get your rematch at Extreme Rules... but since you tried to end my career, I'm going to end yours. I'm going to end yours by making you say two words you should have said the day I came back from my injury: I! Quit!" She drops her microphone to the mat with a smile, prancing around the ring some more before finally exiting. "An 'I Quit' Match for the Diva's Championship, Michael!" JBL shouts, saying he has been in one of those before and if the suffering isn't bad enough already, saying 'I Quit' just adds insult to injury!
Backstage following the break is The New Nation, all arguing with each other. Bo Dallas steps forward trying to calm things down. "Fellas, fellas! We don't need to be hating on one another! It isn't necessary!" Kofi Kingston shakes his head and says he is fed up with this. Big E and Titus O'Neil go off in a different direction as R-Truth is left shaking his head at Dallas. "You see what you gone and did? You pissed 'em all off!" Dallas says there is no need for him to get angry, because things will get better, because he has a proposal. - that they start teaming up. Truth raises his eyebrows, telling Dallas he is crazy. "Come on, lil' Jimmy." He says before walking off, Dallas saying to himself that he still Bo-lieves in a new nation.
Back over to ringside, Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield talk about how the last couple of weeks since WrestleMania, a new group has made their presence known in Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe from NXT. "These three men call themselves 'The Purge' and after targeting CM Punk last week, they went after Alberto Del Rio this Monday." Cole explains, saying that they have received word from doctors that Del Rio suffered a very similar fate as Punk did, by being diagnosed with a concussion and neck trauma. "When are we going to get answers from these guys, Michael!? I want answers!" JBL says.
Backstage, Dolph Ziggler is seen getting ready for his match. Elsewhere is Bryan Danielson, also getting ready. Their main event match is coming up next after the break.
UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION BRYAN DANIELSON DEF. DOLPH ZIGGLER VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The referee calls for the bell to be rung and the two lock up with one another, the latter gaining control early. Bryan mounts a comeback, however, firing off at Ziggler some vicious kicks. After air goat through the ropes, a commercial break ensues with 'Yes!' chants from the WWE Universe. Danielson continues to keep momentum afterwards, Dolph managing to come right back at him with some quick kicks and slams, leading to multiple near falls. The action continues to go back and forth until Dolph avoids a clothesline in the corner, dropping the champion with the Zig Zag! He hooks both legs up for a very close near fall. Frustrated, Dolph starts to show some aggression. He is pulled away from the referee in the corner, leading to Bryan coming forward with a huge clothesline! He hits a few more before flipping Ziggler down to the mat, applying multiple submission holds including the surfboard. Dolph misses a superkick after they both get up, Danielson hitting off the ropes and coming back with the high knee to the face! He quickly locks in the Yes! Lock, Ziggler struggling as the crowd gets behind Danielson. As Ziggler seems prepared to tap out, Seth Rollins comes in to the ring from behind and delivers a Curb Stomp to Bryan!
Rollins pounds on his chest to boos from the crowd, giving a cocky smile. As he starts to talk some smack towards the fans, Ziggler stirs back on to his feet. Seth slowly turns around and gets mashed with a superkick! Rollins spins around, dazed, Dolph following up with a big Zig Zag right in the middle of the ring! The Nashville fans cheer once again as Ziggler rises back on to his feet, falling in to the ropes with a look of exhaustion. "Seth Rollins may have ruined this match, but Dolph Ziggler has put him in his place!" Shouts Michael Cole, whose excitement for the moment quickly changes as Dolph catches Bryan with the Zig Zag as well as he gets to his feet! The atmosphere in the arena brings a bit of change, as Ziggler once again this week has shown that there are no allies, no friendships when it comes to becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion. Thursday Night Smackdown comes to an end.

| Originally set to be contested between just Bryan Danielson and Seth Rollins, Commissioner Mick Foley added John Cena to the mix following his defeat of The Rock at WrestleMania. Dolph Ziggler would also be thrown in after defeating Seth Rollins, setting up a big time fatal four way. | Dean Ambrose managed to defeat the Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania. The Game, however, claimed things aren't over until he says they are and laid down the challenge for one more fight between each other inside a steel cage at Extreme Rules. |
|
| One night removed from WrestleMania and almost exactly a year after his debut, Roman Reigns won his first championship in the WWE by beating Sheamus for the United States Championship. After Reigns got DQed in the rematch and tried to use a table, it set the stage for a Tables Match.
| Jeff and Matt Hardy won the WWE Tag Team Championships in a fatal four way ladder match at WrestleMania, leading to Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to respond with an attack involving a ladder and chair. The final piece to the Hardy Boyz classic would be added to make a TLC match. |
| Paige attempted to take AJ Lee out back in December after winning her Diva's Championship, only to have AJ return before WrestleMania and demand her rematch. With things getting more personal between the two, AJ Lee announced Paige would get her rematch in an 'I Quit' Match. |
A very special thank you to Elliot for all of the Extreme Rules graphics.

- Starting the show off with Ziggler makes sense considering the way you ended off RAW with him standing tall out of the 4 competitors that will be in the Fatal 4 Way Extreme Rules Elimination Match for the WWE Undisputed Championship because out of the 4 of them Ziggler he is the wild card in the whole equation in the sense that no one gives him as much of a chance to walk out of Extreme Rules with the WWE Undisputed Championship and then Ziggler calling out his opponent for tonight the WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson and then reminding us of their history together with it dating back to WrestleMania 29 when Ziggler was champion then and how Danielson beat him but that now Ziggler is as hungry as he was then to become champion and then their history dating back to No Way Out just this past year when Danielson had to defend his WrestleMania 30 title shot against Ziggler, yes these 2 have quite the history and then Rollins interrupting I figured he would but I was wondering where Cena was during all of this?
- Rollins bringing up the fact that if it wasn't for Ziggler or Cena getting in this match that if he had had Danielson one on one for the title that he could be beating Danielson for that title and for all we know he could have had it not been for Foley unfairly adding Cena and Ziggler into this match but Rollins out of the 4 of them I can see him walking out of Extreme Rules as WWE Undisputed Champion
- Rollins beating Christian didn't come as a surprise or as a shocker and lately Christian at this point in his career he is nothing more than enhancement talent known for putting younger superstars over but to think at one time in this diary Christian was a former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion but now it seems his time is at an end
- Show wants Rusev but will Rusev accept? Rusev he has seemingly been on a tear ever since debuting at WrestleMania 30 and in his debut winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and then interacting with the likes of not only Big Show but Hogan too, Rusev I can see him and Show facing each other at Extreme Rules but in what kind of stipulation match will it be?
- Kane will have his first match on RAW in over 2 years, I wonder who Kane will face?
- Show beating Mark Henry, I figured he would considering Show needs as much momentum as he can get right now considering he is facing the relative newcomer the upstart Rusev so he is going to need to be as dominant as possible especially if he is going to face Rusev and Show doesn't want to wait until Extreme Rules but just when he is about to get Rusev he gets the Russian flag instead, the Russian flag showing up out of nowhere, no doubt mind games being played by Rusev, this Rusev is smart
- Triple H has given Ambrose a choice, either walk away from the WWE or be destroyed, Ambrose I already know he is not going to accept Triple H's offer and instead Ambrose he is going to find some way to get the upper hand on the COO again further embarrassing Triple H just like he did at Extreme Rules
- AJ Styles & Cesaro beating Commonwealth members Drew McIntyre and Damien Sandow, I would have figured that there would have been dissension between Styles and Cesaro considering Mr. Money in the Bank Cesaro and the Phenomenal AJ Styles the Phenomenal One that they are opponents in the final of the WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament and they have to face each other I was surprised that Styles and Cesaro were able to co-exist but even more surprised that they didn't turn on each other and basically beat the holy hell out of each other because I just figured they would
- WWE Divas Champion AJ beating Eva Marie, like how many times have we seen this same match? I feel like I am experiencing deja vu all over again but at the same time I can understand why, considering AJ is champion and you want to keep her strong considering she has to defend her title at Extreme Rules against Paige but in what kind of a match? An I Quit Match, if this is your way of trying to one-up Ryan I think you may have done just that, a Divas I Quit Match for the WWE Divas Championship between AJ and Paige I love it
- Seems to be some dissension between The New Nation, I wonder if this means they are breaking up as a stable? Or if this means one of them will be kicked out of the group and the other stable mates just turn on whoever beating the holy hell out of whoever ends up getting kicked out or if one of the stable mates tries to take over The New Nation as leader pretty much the other stable mates pretty much beat the holy hell out of R-Truth and R-Truth is kicked out of the group and whoever ends up becoming the new leader
- CM Punk and Del Rio having similar injuries because of The Purge, concussion and neck trauma I wonder which superstar will be the next superstar to receive a concussion and neck trauma? Which superstar will be next on The Purge's hit list? It seems they have taken out former World Champions in Punk and Del Rio, I wonder who is next? Better yet I want to see The Purge speak about just why they are doing what they are doing or just what their purpose is for being here in the WWE?
- WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson beating Ziggler all be it by DQ, I get it, you want to protect both Danielson and Ziggler with the DQ here because a clean loss for Ziggler would have definitely have killed his momentum while a clean loss for Danielson would have killed his momentum as champion going into Extreme Rules but at the same time a DQ win for Danielson kind of gives him momentum but not that much but seeing Rollins show up to cause the DQ by Curb Stomping the WWE Undisputed Champion does wonders for him but then seeing Ziggler stand tall again by hitting Rollins with a Superkick and then a Zig Zag to follow it up, I was wondering where is Cena in all of this?

allright that was a nice show for SMACKDOWN. I'm definitely excited for Extreme Rules. I really hope you're not trying to top HEELRYAN's Last Man Standing Match with AJ and Paige and you making your own match with them an I Quit Match. I think you and HEELRYAN have somewhat of a crush on AJ and Paige. When are we getting some answers from the Purge, I don't know. I'm really excited to see Kane make his return on RAW in over 4 and a half years, who is Kane going to face in his first match back in the mask on Monday Night RAW. Ziggler and Bryan had a great match had it not been for the intereference of Rollins. I can't wait for Monday Night RAW. Now the King of The Ring for my diary is up, you think you can comment on that.

Fine opening to Smackdown. Rollins/Christian is a realistic SMackdown match in that slot. As I said, Show/Rusev is quite fine, just hard to get into it because of real life. Beating Henry makes sense since he is a fellow big man. Still like the HHH/Ambrose feud a lot as they are using Ambrose pretty poorly in real life. Nice mid-card bout there, and I'd really like for STyles to become IC Champ. I Quit match for the Divas title should be interesting. Just unsure how it can be kept realistic (unless it was mostly just submission attempts and things of that like). Main event was pretty good. Overall good show.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Friday 17th April 2014…Alright, so you owe me a double reply for this. Dolph Ziggler kicking off the show was a decent change, touting his side of the story going into the fatal four-way WWE World Heavyweight Championship match in several weeks. Daniel Bryan then interrupting was nice, followed by Seth Rollins. No John Cena tonight, eh? I hope you plan on mixing these promos up as they could get repetitive en route to Extreme Rules in two weeks. Seth Rollins defeating Christian made for a solid opening contest – Christian is basically here to serve as establishment for other, up-and-coming stars on the roster now. I wonder how long it will be before he gets concussed again. The poor sod. Rollins continued the attack…and his slow burn to becoming a heel continues. The Big Show’s interview was nice, although I do hope that Rusev’s character doesn’t become all about advocating Russia and being anti-American. You can surely think up something a little more original than that and move on to more multi-functional angles than the old USA vs the World shtick. Happy to see Kane announced for RAW this Monday – hopefully he reveals why he’s come back for Bray Wyatt. Big Show defeating Mark Henry was a big match to hold on the second match of SmackDown – but it powers Show up ready for action with Rusev in a few weeks. So I’m fine with this. Wow, Triple H on SmackDown. A good promo from him, and I liked the lack of interruption from rival Dean Ambrose. Nice and straight forward, simple speech by the COO to set up Monday’s angle. AJ Styles and Antonio Cesaro facing and defeating Damien Sandow and Drew McIntyre of the Commonwealth made sense with Styles and Cesaro clashing on RAW this week to determine a top contender to Wade Barrett’s Intercontinental Championship. No complaints, here. I imagine this one to be a solid bout, too. Styles and Cesaro could have potential as a solid tag team in this diary. I would rather that than rushing Styles to a singles title. AJ Lee’s interview was nice, the b***h comment may have been too much for SmackDown though. Glad that the Divas Champion beat Eva Marie. I hate Eva so much. The I Quit stipulation should be good for the match with AJ and Paige – hopefully it’s not too violent. If the New Nation is purely a platform for Bo Dallas to take off, then what happens to R-Truth, Titus O’Neil and Kofi Kingston? I wouldn’t mind Kofi and Titus as a team, mind you. Or Darren Young for Titus, where did Young go? More lack of the Purge besides being mentioned – I like that. Keep it on RAW and keep it exclusive. Big main event win for Daniel Bryan against Dolph Ziggler, and the interference from Seth Rollins explained it. All a big hype for the main event of Extreme Rules. Please cut back on main events ending by disqualification or count-out, though. Overall, a decent show with some strong matches – but as a B-show should be, it was purely there to set up Monday’s RAW, as well as hype feuds for the next pay-per-view event. Good work.

APRIL 21, 2014 FROM THE BALTIMORE ARENA IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
The Monday Night Raw intro airs and the cameras pan in to the Baltimore Arena from Baltimore, Maryland afterward. Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome everybody to the show. Tonight we will have all four competitors from the Undisputed WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules in action. Also, the Intercontinental Championship tournament finals will be taking place as AJ Styles faces Antonio Cesaro. Plus, Kane returned to action last week and now will have his first match in a few years! Triple H has also laid down an offer for Dean Ambrose to walk away from their match at Extreme Rules, but will Ambrose compete? "So much to come here tonight on Monday Night Raw!" Says Cole.
The theme music of John Cena hits to a very loud, mixed reaction. He makes his way out and plays up the cheers and boos before making his way down to the ring, snatching up a microphone from ringside. He looks all around the arena and laughs, saying it will never get old. "Man, Baltimore you feeling good tonight!?" He questions to a pop. "You feeling good being here at Monday Night Raw!? Because I know I am! I know I am because not only do I get to be in action, but so don't Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler and Bryan Danielson! Yes! Yes! Yes!" He plays up the crowd's favor towards Danielson, as they continue on the chants. He says that he has a lot of respect for Bryan but he doesn't plan on letting him walk out of Extreme Rules the Undisputed WWE Champion. He goes on by explaining how things have been so exciting since WrestleMania came to an end, because we have seen the debut of Sting, we have seen The Purge, we have seen Rusev and 'some fine looking' Lana and we've had one hell of a match set in thirteen days. "Either myself, Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins or Bryan Danielson will be able to walk out as the Undisputed WWE Champion but guess what? They can try as hard as they want but they won't be trying as hard as John Cena. Then on May 5th, the night after on Raw, I'm going to walk down to this ring and I'll be able to say once again: THE CHAMP! IS! HERE!" As the mixed reaction continues on, the familiar sound of 'AWESOME!' is heard, The Miz proceeding to make his way out from the back with a cocky smile across his face.
Miz gets in to the ring and stares Cena down, a microphone in his hand. "Really? Really? John, you can talk yourself up all you want but in case you forgot... it was in 2010 when I was Mr. Money in the Bank that I cashed in on you and became World Heavyweight Champion. And you know what the real funny thing about that is, John? You never beat me for it back." With a snicker, he says that he thinks that at Extreme Rules it should be him, not Cena, in the Undisputed WWE Championship fatal four way match. The majority of the fans boo, Cena shrugging his shoulders and says that is fair. "But you seem to be forgetting that four years ago was four years ago and you haven't meant a damn thing since then." Cena responds with a smile, Miz rolling his eyes. "You got a match with me tonight, Miz, so I'll make it a little bit interesting for you. If you manage to beat me, you can take my spot in the match at Extreme Rules... how about that?" Miz responds by telling Cena that it is about that he got some respect and now it is time that he beats John and takes his spot in the Undisputed WWE Championship match. Before he can say anything more, Cena takes him by the arm and lifts him for the Attitude Adjustment! Miz, however, manages to slip free and roll out of the ring! He backs up against the barricade as Cena beckons for him to come back in to the ring for their match.
JOHN CENA DEF. THE MIZ » The bell rings and Miz cowers away from Cena early and gets back in to the corner, giving a jab to the eye in order to take control for himself. He rolls Cena up for multiple near falls, getting frustrated with every two count. John comes back with multiple shoulder blocks and drops Miz to the mat multiple times before giving him the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He goes for the Attitude Adjustment, Miz managing to hang on to the ropes and slip free. He ducks a clothesline and drops Cena with the Skull Crushing Finale! He only gets a count of two on the pin attempt though, leading to him yelling at the official. He beats Cena down a bit before continuing to argue, turning around right in to the Attitude Adjustment! Cena proceeds to lock him in the STF and after a short struggle, Miz has no choice but to tap out.
Cena gets back up to a mixed reaction from the crowd, playing up to it a bit. He gives Miz a "You can't see me!" wave before exiting the ring, Miz left cringing on the mat in pain.
Back in the parking lot, a limousine is seen pulling up and it comes to a stop. The driver steps out and comes around to the back door, opening up. Out steps Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, the Baltimore fans booing the power couple. They give a smile to one another and kiss before heading off, Triple H set to get answers from Dean Ambrose later on tonight.
Returning, Sin Cara is seen standing in the ring before 'RUSEV PUTRIA! RUSEV MATKA!' is heard, the 'Bulgarian Brute' and hand-picked super athlete of Vladimir Putin making his way out to the stage along with Lana. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy stands next to them as Lana holds a microphone in her hand. "America rise, for this is yet another moment in history where you shall watch the decimation of another human being... at the hands of the world's most fearless leader, Vladimir Putin's, hand-picked super athlete - Rusev!" The two continue to come down to the ring and Rusev steps in, staring Cara down.
RUSEV (W/LANA) DEF. SIN CARA » The match begins and Cara throws a few shots to the face before being chucked to the mat. Rusev doesn't give him any chance to get back in to things and just starts to chuck Cara all around the ring and smash in to him repeatedly. After missing a corner splash, however, Cara comes off the ropes with a dropkick. He goes for it again but gets mashed with a leaping kick to the face! Rusev proceeds to stomp across the back and lock in the Accolade, Cara having no choice but to tap out.
Rusev continues to wrench away at the hold, the referee pleading with him to break it. Lana comes in to the ring with a smile, applauding the 'Bulgarian Brute'. The official looks to her to get him to break it up, but she doesn't. As Rusev keeps pulling away, Big Show's theme music suddenly hits and out comes the 'World's Largest Athlete'! He storms down the ramp and to the ring, Rusev finally releasing the Accolade. He backs out of the ring before Show can come forward, however, leaving the giant frustrated. Rusev and Lana laugh at him as he marches around the ring, leaning across the ropes while seething in anger.
Back from the break, Big Show is still pacing around the ring and he has a microphone in his hand. "Rusev! RUSEV! GET YOUR ASS BACK OUT HERE BECAUSE I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!" He waits a minute before Rusev and Lana come back out to the stage, each with big smiles across their face. Show breaths heavily, leaning back across the ropes. "Rusev, I've grown sick and tired of you pretty damn fast. At WrestleMania, you proved yourself by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but the disrespect you showed me made me sick! The disrespect you showed Hulk Hogan the night after made me sick! The disrespect you show the entire United States of America makes me sick! I've had enough of it and I want to bring it all to an end with this fist..." He raises it up to a cheer and shakes it a bit, Lana laughing in response.
"Big Show, you are so stupid!" Lana says with a chuckle, the crowd booing her words. She goes even further by saying he is as stupid as all the people in Baltimore. "Have you not seen what Rusev has done since making his debut? If you were to step in to the ring with Rusev, Big Show, you would become just another footnote in the path of destruction at the hands of the super athlete, the Bulgarian Brute! Vladimir Putin's hand-picked su-" Before she can stay anything more, Show yells at her to shut up! He says that he has heard enough from her. "We're all sick and tired of hearing the same crap from you, Lana! I want an answer and I don't want an answer from you, I want an answer from you big man... You! Versus me! Extreme Rules! Let's do it! COME ON!" He marches across the ring, Rusev taking the mike away from Lana slowly and saying some things in his language before turning over to English. "Big Show!" He shouts. "At Extreme Rules! You will have your chance! Your chance... to be crushed!" He throws the microphone to the floor and makes his way to the back with Lana, Show nodding in approval.
Backstage is AJ Styles walking down the halls. A split screen comes up to show Antonio Cesaro as well, as they go one on one after the break in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament where the winner will go on to face Wade Barrett at Extreme Rules in two weeks.
AJ STYLES DEF. ANTONIO CESARO IN THE FINALS OF THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS TOURNAMENT » The bell sounds and after circling the ring, the two men meet in the middle. After a lock up, Cesaro slams Styles down to the mat and methodically applies some strong holds to wear down Styles, whom manages to make a comeback and use his speed before being put to a stop with a huge uppercut! Cesaro goes to clothesline him to the outside but the ropes are pulled down, AJ quickly spinning around and launching himself over! Both men crash in to the announce table and remain down as a commercial break ensues. After that break, the duo go back and forth contrasting with high flying from Styles and power from Cesaro. Styles misses a springboard forearm, allowing Mr. Money in the Bank to drop him with a big slam from behind that results in a two count. He keeps teeing off with uppercuts and slams and gets Styles set up in the corner, mashing him with a big shot to the face. He sets up for the superplex but Styles finds a way out, shoving Cesaro down to the mat. He leaps off for the Spiral Tap, Cesaro just barely moving out of the way! He gets back up and goes for the Cesaro Swing, Styles pulling one leg free and blasting Cesaro in the face. He flips out of a Neutralizer attempt and delivers the Pele Kick! Antonio falls back off the ropes and comes back to a huge kick to the gut, being pulled in between the legs and planted with the Styles Clash! AJ rolls him over for the one, two, three!
Styles gets back on to his feet, the crowd cheering for his victory. He checks down on Cesaro and pats him on the chest as he rolls out of the ring. Before Styles even has a chance to straighten back up, however, Wade Barrett comes rushing in to the ring and blasts him with a big boot! The cheers turn to boos quickly as The Commonwealth stays atop the stage, watching as their leader inverts his elbow pad, letting Styles rise back up before planting him with the Bullhammer! Styles is left laid out on the mat as Barrett slowly gets back on to his feet, Paige slowly coming down to the ring to hand him his Intercontinental Championship. Barrett places his foot on the chest of Styles, holding his title up high with a snicker.
Back at ringside, the commentary team turns to last week where Bray Wyatt was speaking about ending The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania, when he would be met with a very unpleasant surprise as Kane would make his return! Coming up next, the 'Big Red Machine' makes his return to the ring and we also hope to receive word from him about his return.
Returning, Curtis Axel is standing in the ring jogging in place prepared for action. As he motions up the ramp, a big red pyro hits and the crowd pops! Kane proceeds to make his way out from the back, adjusting his elbow pads and coming down to the ring staring a hole right through Axel. He sets off his signature pyro from the corners as Axel takes a big gulp.
KANE DEF. CURTIS AXEL » The bell rings and Axel is quickly met with a big shot to the chin! Kane unleashes with the strikes, Axel avoiding a clothesline in the corner. He takes a hold of the strap and begins to tee off with punches. He gets a little cocky and hits a kick to the gut, laughing and hitting off the ropes only to be met with a boot on the comeback! The crowd cheers as Kane drops him with a sidewalk slam, going out to the apron and to the top rope. The 'Big Red Machine' flies off with a clothesline and gets back up, stretching his hand up high. Axel staggers back up and turns right in to a grasp of the throat, followed up by a very high chokeslam right in the middle of the ring! Kane covers him for the three count.
Kane gets back on to his feet and sets off the pyros around the ring once again, taking some breaths before stepping over to the ropes. He calls for a microphone and steps in to the middle of the squared circle, wiping at his face beneath his mask. "I'm back..." He says with a laugh. "And Bray Wyatt... I'm back for you... you took the urn of Paul Bearer... you took my mask... you took my brother's streak... and now, I'm going to take you... STRAIGHT TO HELL!" He drops the microphone down to the mat, going to set off another pyro only to have the signature of The Wyatt Family hit! Bray appears on the titantron by himself from behind his lantern, chuckling loud. "How beautiful it is, man... that you want to defend your family! Defend the legacy! But the thing you're forgetting, Kane... is that I already destroyed your family! I already destroyed the legacy! AND IF I HAVE TO DESTROY YOU TO SHOW WHY I AM THE NEW PHENOM AMONG THIS LAND THEN SO BE IT! Find me... I'm anywhere you want me to be..." The signature of The Wyatt Family hits once again, Kane left staring from inside the ring.
Returning at ringside, the announcement is made that at Extreme Rules it will be Bray Wyatt versus Kane. Mick Foley has also stated that due to things beginning outside of the ring between the two, it will continue as it will be Falls Count Anywhere!
SETH ROLLINS DEF. SHEAMUS » The bell rings and Rollins tries to stay away from Sheamus' strong grasp, only to get caught by the hair and clobbered with shots across the back and a series of knees. After ducking away from a clothesline in the corner, however, Rollins manages to mount a comeback. He gets a few near falls and ends up dropping Sheamus with a superkick, following up with a Curb Stomp attempt that Sheamus manages to avoid! He gets up and blasts Seth with the Brogue Kick but before he can go for the pin, Rollins flops out of the ring wisely! A commercial break proceeds and after the break, the action slows down with Sheamus continuing to control the match with his power. He sends Rollins down multiple times, getting near fall after near fall. He sets up for the Brogue Kick again, only for Seth to avoid it and hit a hard leaping crossbody from the second rope that garners him a near fall as well. He keeps working away at the 'Celtic Warrior' and sets up for another Curb Stomp, Sheamus missing on another Brogue Kick attempt as Rollins slips out to the apron. He gets on to one knee, laughing thinking he outsmarted Sheamus. He is dragged up against the ropes, getting met with the ten clubs across the chest! Sheamus gives a short beat down and goes for the Brogue Kick once again, only for Rollins to drag the referee in the way! The crowd boos as Sheamus stands over the official in shock. He tries to wake him up, which gives enough time for Roman Reigns to come in to the ring from behind! Sheamus throws his hands up, not knowing what to do, and turns right in to a spear! The United States Champion rolls out of the ring with a smile, backing up the ramp to Paul Heyman atop the stage. After a minute, Rollins staggers back up and delivers the Curb Stomp! He hooks both legs of Sheamus for the slow three.
The Baltimore Arena shows their displeasure for the result as Rollins gets back on to his feet with a grin, celebrating the victory as if he had done it all on his own. "I'm the next Undisputed WWE Champion!" He shouts while motioning for the title around his waist. Meanwhile, Reigns and Heyman smile from atop the stage before making their way through the curtains.
Backstage, Seth Rollins is walking backstage laughing about what just happened. Commissioner Mick Foley walks up to him, Rollins scoffing at his appearance. "What the hell do you want now, Foley!?" He shouts, Mick telling him that he wants to just have a quick conversation. "Since you had a little help out there in your match, I wanted to let you know that this Thursday on Smackdown you're going to be in action again... against Ryback. Have a nice day, Seth!" He gives a thumbs up and walks away, Rollins left with a fuming look across his face.
Back inside of the arena, The Hardy Boyz theme music hits and the Baltimore fans pop. Jeff and Matt come out and start to work the crowd up before coming down and in to the ring, adjusting their tag title belts over their shoulders with microphones in their hands. "In thirteen nights from now, our WWE Tag Team Championships are going to be hanging above this ring." Matt says, Jeff continuing on by saying that they will be putting them on the line against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, guys they have quite the history with now. "But you know what else we have history with?" Jeff says with a smile. "Being in that match type: Tables, ladders and chairs! We made that match famous!" The crowd cheers in agreement, Matt saying that he knows it isn't going to be the easiest match, but he doesn't have any doubt in his mind that he and Jeff are going to walk out still the WWE Tag Team Champions! Before they can anything more, the signature of The Wyatt Family hits and after the lights flicker a bit, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan stand atop the stage - staring down Jeff and Matt.
Harper holds a microphone in his hand and slowly brings it up, his eyes widened up. "These eyes... have seen many of things... many, many of bad things... but they have been set on something very, very special..." He points down to the ring, noting the WWE Tag Team Championships. Rowan slowly pulls his sheep mask up, breathing heavily as he takes the microphone away from Harper. "You took them away from us! AND WE! WANT THEM BACK!" He slams the mike down to the floor and they start to march down to the ring, stepping right in with Harper and exchanging blows with The Hardy Boyz! Things spill to the outside, the brawl getting out of hand. Jeff reaches underneath the ring and grabs a steel chair, smacking it across the back of Harper! On the other side of the ring, however, Rowan throws Matt in to the steel post and grabs a ladder from underneath, slamming it in to his face! Jeff rolls in to the ring and runs to the other side, diving right through and in to a shot to the head with the ladder! Jeff collapses to the floor as Rowan gives a nod to Harper on the other side. He pulls a table out from underneath and slides it in to the ring, setting it up. Rowan chucks Jeff back underneath the ropes, followed up by Matt. He follows and they drag the WWE Tag Team Champions up, proceeding to hit them with simultaneous powerbombs through the table! The WWE Universe boos as Harper slowly picks up the title belts, handing one over to Rowan. They raise them up high over their heads, looking to reclaim them in thirteen nights at Extreme Rules.
Returning, footage is shown of the past few weeks where Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe - The Purge - took out CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio. Next week, live on Monday Night Raw, none other than Chris Jericho will be here searching for answers that we have yet to get from that group! Will we finally find out what their motive is for their actions? DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. CODY RHODES (W/GOLDUST) » The match starts off and Rhodes begins aggressively pounding away at Ziggler, getting rocked back and dropped with a hard dropkick. Ziggler takes total control of the match, getting near fall after near fall on Cody - causing Rhodes to get very aggravated. He continues to be more aggressive than usual and the referee has to pull him back multiple times. Goldust gets on the apron and starts to yell at him, telling him to get focused! Rhodes brushes it off and goes for the Disaster Kick - only to be caught with the superkick out of nowhere! The crowd pops for the spot as Rhodes flops on the mat, slowly getting back up with the ropes and backing right in to the Zig Zag! The 'Show Off' hooks both legs up for the one, two, three. Ziggler gets back on to his feet and raises both fists up in celebration. He gets out of the ring and makes his way towards the back, Rhodes sitting up in the middle of the ring holding the back of his head. Goldust gets in to the ring to check on his brother, only to get shoved away. "I don't need your help, Dustin!" Cody shouts before shoving him again, getting out of the ring.
A promo video airs for the next WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, coming four weeks from tonight on May 4, 2014 from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It features the official theme song "My Demons" by Starset. The one night of the year where WWE goes completely extreme. WWE Extreme Rules, live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network. Backstage is Dolph Ziggler, wiping his face down with a towel. As he catches his breath, John Cena walks up to him and they stare down. "Congrats on the win, Dolph. Too bad it ain't gonna be the same result come Extreme Rules." He says with a smile, Ziggler saying he begs to differ. He even suggests that he might get rid of Cena first, to which John chuckles. "That's funny, man. That's funny. I just got done talking with Mick Foley and it turns out next week on Raw, it's going to be you versus me one on one. Try and prove yourself then while you're at it, jack." He pats Dolph on the shoulder and heads off, Ziggler nodding at the information.
PAIGE (W/WILLIAM REGAL) DEF. BRIE BELLA (W/NIKKI BELLA) » The match starts and Paige begins very viciously, driving knees and elbows in to the face of Brie. She refuses to let up until the referee steps in between, allowing Brie to get back in to things after a dropkick. She gets a couple of near falls to Paige's surprise, only further angering the matriarch of The Commonwealth. She hits a hard boot to the face and starts to choke Brie repeatedly, having to be pulled away over and over. After some advising from Regal, Paige drops her with the RamPaige and follows it up with a submission hold, called the PTO. Brie taps out fairly quickly. Paige continues to pull away at the hold while screaming out. "SAY 'I QUIT', BRIE! SAY 'I QUIT'! SAY IT!" She exclaims, the official trying to pull her away. Nikki comes in to the ring and Paige finally lets up, blasting her with a knee to the gut and then one to the face! Regal scrambles in to the ring to try and hold Paige back, AJ Lee's music hitting as her eyes are widened in rage. The Diva's Champion skips out to the stage with a smile, a microphone in her hand. She gives a wave down to the ring as Paige tries to get to the ropes, Regal still holding her back. "Oh, Paige, how sweet it is you're trying to prove yourself to everyone... but we all know, my dearest Queen of The Commonwealth, I'm no quitter. You, on the other hand, are just that! And come two weeks from now, you'll be saying those two words as I try and end your career just like you tried to end mine." She drops the mike to the floor and skips her way through the curtains with a smile, Paige screaming once again as she tries to get out of the ring with Regal once again having to take her by the waist and yank her back from going after her rival. Still to come later on, Triple H calls out Dean Ambrose in order to get answers about his proposal. But first, Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson is in action next!
UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION BRYAN DANIELSON DEF. MARK HENRY IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings, Henry toying with Danielson a bit by showing off his size. He laughs right in the face of the Undisputed WWE Champion and gets blasted with a series of kicks to the legs and back, Bryan unleashing a fury. He hits off the ropes multiple times and tries to send Henry off his feet with kicks and flurries. He is caught for the World's Strongest Slam out of nowhere, however, and the crowd gasps. Henry hooks the leg, only for Bryan to kick out at two! Henry gets frustrated and pounds his hands in to the mat, a commercial break following. After the break, Henry continues to show off his weight but Bryan manages to come back. He hits off the corner and comes back with a big dropkick. He continues to unleash on Henry, going to the top rope and hitting another dropkick that sends the 'World's Strongest Man' down to the mat! He gets a two count and continues to try and keep Mark down. He hits some kicks to the chest but gets caught with one and chucked in to the corner, being smashed with a splash. Henry goes for another splash but Danielson avoids it, running across the ring and hitting a big flip from the top rope! He lets Henry get up before hitting off the corner again, delivering a big knee to the face! Henry wobbles, Bryan hitting him with a second one before dropping him down to the mat! He scrambles over and covers Mark for the one, two, three.
The Baltimore crowd bursts in to cheers, exploding with 'Yes!' chants as soon as he gets on to his feet. The referee retrieves the Undisputed WWE Championship and hands it over to Danielson, but before his celebration can even begin Seth Rollins storms in to the ring from behind and slams him down to the mat! He begins a beat down, refusing to let up. Dolph Ziggler comes running down to the ring for the save, teeing off on Rollins. As they go at it, John Cena storms down and begins to work away at Rollins along with Dolph. He avoids a clothesline and hits Seth with the Attitude Adjustment! As he stands over him, however, Ziggler lays him out with the Zig Zag! He pops on to his feet and talks some trash to Cena, motioning for the belt around his waist. He, however, turns right in to the running knee from Danielson! The champion pops right back up, the 'Yes!' chants filling the Baltimore Arena once again as he scoops his title belt up, hoisting it high up over his head from the second turnbuckle.
Backstage is Triple H walking down the halls along with his wife Stephanie McMahon, as he calls Dean Ambrose out to receive an answer to his proposal last Thursday - next.
'King of Kings' hits upon the return, the crowd booing heavily as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way out atop the stage. They gaze out to the crowd before coming down and in to the ring, each taking a microphone. "Have you enjoyed yourselves tonight, Baltimore?" Triple H asks, garnering a positive reception. "Well, I'll tell you one man that isn't going to be enjoying himself in thirteen nights at Extreme Rules in New Jersey if he doesn't take up on my offer. Dean Ambrose, last week on Smackdown I walked down to this ring and I made it very clear. I made it very clear that if you step inside of that steel cage with me at Extreme Rules, I will unleash a fury unlike anyone has ever seen before! You have defied me, defied authority and I have grown sick and tired of it. You may have gotten away with things at WrestleMania but we all know damn well that you just got lucky!" He breaths heavily, Stephanie stepping forward and saying from an unbiased standpoint, she would advise Ambrose to think very hard about this opportunity to back out of this match at Extreme Rules that her husband has proposed. "Continue your career, Dean! You're young and have so much to look forward to... but not if you go through with this match at Extreme Rules because it just won't be worth it. It won't be worth it to be maimed! To be destroyed! To have your career end at the hands of the King of Kings, the Cerebral Assassin! THE GAME! TRIPLE H!" They both flash a smile, Hunter suggesting that Ambrose come down to this ring and do the right thing.
After waiting a few moments, Ambrose's voice is heard. "Hey, Hunter! Steph! Up here!" He says with a chuckle, appearing on the titantron. Triple H questions why he doesn't come down to the ring and Dean shrugs his shoulders, saying he would love to but he can't do that. "You see, as soon as you brought up the idea of me pulling out of our match last Thursday, I already knew the answer... uh, no? So, I took the opportunity to booking a flight away from Baltimore... sorry, guys, and going to a little place called Stamford, Connecticut..." Triple H begins to yell, demanding to know what Ambrose is doing there. The 'Lunatic Fringe' continues to smile, the camera panning back a bit to show him sitting on top of a desk inside of a building. The eyes of the power couple in the ring widen as pictures of them can be seen on the walls, Ambrose grabbing a hold of one of them and pulling it down. "Aw, how sweet." He says before letting it slip between his fingers and to the floor, the glass shattering everywhee. The crowd gets a kick out of it as Hunter and Stephanie are livid, Dean simply saying 'oops'. He stands up from the desk and picks up the smaller frames on the desk, whistling while chucking them at the wall and letting them shatter. "A little bit of spring cleaning never hurt anybody, right Hunter!? You'd know about that! Best of luck in your future endeavors!" He rips the cords out of the computer and chucks it in to the wall as well! "AMBROSE! AMBROSE! STOP IT NOW!" Triple H screams, only for Dean to just raise his eyebrows with a smile, sticking his tongue out as he starts to ruffle through all of the drawers - finally grabbing a hold of something.
"Oh lordy, lordy! Look what we have here! It appears we have the tax forms of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon! Come on, guys, these things are past due! I thought you'd be better about that!" Stephanie tries to respond, saying that they were getting around to it. Ambrose scoffs and says not anymore and proceeds to rip the papers up! He swipes everything off of the desk and says that he feels like he could do so much more, but he just isn't sure what. He scratches his head and snaps his fingers, saying he just remembered! He reaches inside of his jacket and pulls out a green spray can. "A little green spray paint... sounds a little degenerate doesn't it?" He shakes it up and proceeds to start spraying across the wall as back inside the arena, Triple H paces back and forth while running his hand across his head, frustrated. Ambrose finally pulls away, revealing his logo across the wall. "Yeah... that looks good... but, I just got one more thing to do." He leans down under the desk and pulls out a sledgehammer slowly, licking his lips to the delight of the crowd. He shrugs his shoulders and cranks his neck before turning to the wall and swinging the hammer in to it repeatedly! Holes start to fill up in it as Hunter continues to yell from inside the arena. "AMBROSE! AMBROSE!!! KNOCK IT OFF!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET THIS! AMBROSE!" He leans across the ropes as Dean unleashes a seventh shot in to the wall before dropping the hammer, taking a few breaths. He wipes at his brow and chuckles, turning back to the camera. "That was fun, Hunter. Now your office looks nice and pretty! And, hey... if you're not down with that, I've got two words for ya!" The crowd from inside the Baltimore Arena shouts 'suck it!' and Ambrose simply smiles, waving good bye to the camera as the feed cuts out, his music hitting. Triple H and Stephanie continue to glare up at the titantron in disbelief, Ambrose having gone even further to get under the skin of The Authority. Monday Night Raw comes to a conclusion.

- John Cena opening up RAW makes sense considering he wasn't anywhere to be seen on Smackdown and Cena thinking he actually has a chance to walk out WWE Undisputed Champion, it is definitely not going to happen in fact it won't happen I guarantee it but for Cena if he is in action tonight I wonder who Danielson the WWE Undisputed Champion will face? I wonder who Ziggler or Rollins will face?
- Cena being interrupted by The Miz of all people, now that was surprising to say the least and then Miz bringing up his history with Cena and how he cashed in on Cena in your diary 4 years ago to become World Heavyweight Champion, yes that is The Miz's one ticket to fame his one claim to fame but what has Miz done since then? Miz hasn't done a damn thing since those 4 years and he is doing anything to stay relevant but the point is is that The Miz is nothing more than an afterthought so with him trying to make a name for himself again at Cena's expense, I can definitely see Cena putting Miz in his place
- Cena vs Miz and Cena beats Miz to gain momentum heading into Extreme Rules, I wonder if Rollins, Danielson or Ziggler will be able to top that? But nevertheless Miz he did kind of make himself relevant again all be it that he lost to Cena but even more so now I wonder what is next for The Miz?
- Triple H and Stephanie are here, you can bet that Triple H is here for one reason and one reason only and that is Dean Ambrose, I wonder if Ambrose will take Triple H up on his offer to walk away from WWE rather than get into the ring with him at Extreme Rules?
- Rusev he is a relative newcomer but the way he has burst on to the scene here with Lana in WWE, he is perhaps one of the biggest threats in the WWE as far as monster heels go, he is putting them all to shame and considering Rusev in his debut he has already won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30 in his debut match in his very first match and then after that he basically disrespected not only Big Show but Hulk Hogan too and he has been beating his opponents and beating them decisively, it makes me wonder if Big Show actually can stop Rusev? Or if anyone in WWE can?
- Rusev beating Sin Cara definitely did not surprise me considering Rusev needs all the momentum he can get especially if he is going to be facing Big Show at Extreme Rules especially in his second PPV match considering his first PPV match was WrestleMania 30 but just as Rusev is about to crush Sin Cara more, Big Show comes to the rescue but Rusev bails before Big Show can get to him, classic heel move but effective nonetheless
- AJ Styles winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship Tournament Finals by beating Mr. Money in the Bank Antonio Cesaro, this puts over Styles in a big way considering AJ he hasn't even won singles gold yet here in WWE and considering Cesaro he didn't even need the win considering he is already Mr. Money in the Bank he is well on his way to becoming WWE Undisputed Champion soon enough so he didn't really need this win but AJ needed it more than Cesaro did so I understand this booking decision and honestly Styles vs Barrett for the WWE Intercontinental Championship should be a great match but seeing Barrett attack Styles post match was expected, I mean it was only a matter of time
- Kane in his first match back in a WWE ring in over 2 years and he manages to beat Curtis Axel, no sign of ring rust on Kane that's for sure and not to mention Kane is so focused so determined to not only avenge his brother The Undertaker but he is determined to get his revenge on Wyatt for not only ending his brother's undefeated streak at WrestleMania but also for stealing his mask and his father Paul Bearer's urn, but can Kane really be the one to stop Bray Wyatt? It is like Bray Wyatt is almost unstoppable almost untouchable ever since ending Taker's streak Bray Wyatt is the only man in WWE history who can say that and not to mention the list of names already that he's beaten, could he add Kane to his list of victims? Perhaps Wyatt he is the new "Phenom" of the WWE but I guess at Extreme Rules we will find out if he truly is or if his win at WrestleMania 30 against Taker was luck
- Bray Wyatt vs Kane Falls Count Anywhere at Extreme Rules, this match is not only as personal as it gets but it is one of the more unique matches on the card in the sense that you have 2 supernatural beings going at it
- Rollins beating the former WWE United States Champion Sheamus, I figured Rollins would get a controversial win because it is like Rollins can't win matches on his own unless he has help or unless someone interferes on his behalf because Sheamus had this match won and he probably might have won if Reigns and Heyman had not gotten involved but their involvement makes total sense considering Reigns is a Paul Heyman Guy but also he is the WWE United States Champion and he is defending his title against Sheamus in a Tables Match at Extreme Rules so I could see why you went with this result but at the same time Rollins needs as much momentum as he can get right now seeing as how he is in perhaps the biggest match of his young WWE career in a match for the WWE Undisputed Championship against 3 other superstars in Cena, Ziggler and the WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson
- WWE Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz Matt and Jeff talking about Harper & Rowan of the Wyatt Family the former WWE Tag Team Champions but also their opponents for the titles that they'll be defending at Extreme Rules in a TLC Match, the Hardy Boyz revolutionized the TLC Match they basically made it what it is today especially in the Attitude Era and then becoming one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history future first ballot WWE Hall of Famers and they are facing the future in Harper & Rowan something has gotta give here and seeing these 2 teams go at it, a brawl ensuing, we knew it was only a matter of time
- The Purge finally on RAW next week to address their actions on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, this should be interesting to say the least but I can see Crowe, Owens and Zayn making a name for themselves at Jericho's expense by adding him to their hit list and they end up taking him out exactly like how they took out Punk and Del Rio
- Ziggler beating Cody Rhodes, I figured he would considering Ziggler needs all the momentum he can get heading into Extreme Rules but out of all of the competitors in the Extreme Rules Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match for the WWE Undisputed Championship Ziggler is the wild card in the sense that he has had the most momentum out of the 4 but also he has been on such a roll that honestly I could even see him walking out of Extreme Rules as the new WWE Undisputed Champion but seeing Rhodes post match with his brother Goldust there seems to be tension there between The Rhodes Brothers there seems to be tension between Dusty's boys between The Dream's boys I wonder if Dusty will have to intervene here where his sons are concerned?
- Ziggler vs Cena next week on RAW, looking forward to it, I can see this match no doubt main eventing RAW next week
- Paige the former WWE Divas Champion and matriarch of the Commonwealth Wade Barrett's girlfriend beating Brie Bella wife of the WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson, Paige having a new submission finisher the PTO, she should use that as her new finisher from now on whenever she has a match but nevertheless Paige making Brie tap out with her new move and not letting go of it, direct message sent to the WWE Divas Champion AJ, could Paige make AJ utter those 2 words "I Quit"? Seeing AJ show up after the match and her skipping around, definite mind games being played here by AJ to further get into Paige's head I could see Paige snapping even more
- WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson beating Mark Henry in the main event, Danielson continues to gain even more momentum heading into his Extreme Rules title defense especially after winning the title at WrestleMania 30 beating Brock Lesnar in Hell in a Cell and now at Extreme Rules having to defend his title against not 1, not 2 but 3 other superstars in Cena, Rollins and Ziggler he doesn't even have to be pinned to lose his title, 25% odds of walking out as champion which means any one of the 3 other superstars could pin each other or vice versa and Danielson could lose his title that way or Danielson could be pinned but either way he has quite the title defense ahead of him and honestly I wonder how he can overcome those odds?
- Post match Danielson being attacked by Rollins and then Ziggler making the save only for Cena to show up and then Cena hitting Rollins with an AA only for Ziggler to turn on Cena and hit him with a Zig Zag and then Danielson hitting Ziggler with a Running Knee to stand tall, could this be what happens at Extreme Rules? Can Danielson do the unthinkable and retain his WWE Undisputed Championship at Extreme Rules?
- But the closing segment to end RAW with Triple H and Dean Ambrose definitely had an Attitude Era type feel to it, it reminded me a whole lot of Austin and McMahon and honestly Ambrose & Triple H's feud has reminded me so much of that with Ambrose being the Austin of this feud and Triple H being the Vince of this feud but Ambrose not showing up in the ring in Baltimore but showing up via satellite at Stamford, Connecticut at WWE Headquarters and destroying Triple H's office, I was laughing my ass off the whole segment especially with the spray can and Ambrose spraypainting, I was laughing so damn hard and then using a sledgehammer to destroy the COO's office like that, both Triple H and Stephanie steaming I was dying the whole segment
- 13 MORE NIGHTS UNTIL EXTREME RULES!!!!! 13 MORE DAYS UNTIL EXTREME RULES AND THEN AFTERWARDS YOUR JUNE PPV I wonder what your June PPV will be? Because July I am sure is Money in the Bank isn't it not?

Okay, here's Monday Night RAW. A decent way to kick things off with John Cena coming out for a promo. Good hype for the Extreme Rules main event. Meh. Miz interrupting. Wasn't really a fan. Decent win for Cena, the result was predictable. Good win for Rusev, but Lana. <3. Hope you give Rusev a good push. Big Show vs Rusev? A bit boring, but it's decent for 'Sev's first feud. Styles over Cesaro? I personally would have went with Cesaro. He has a much better upside than AJ Styles, truthfully. Anywho, glad Barrett knocked Styles out. I hope Barrett doesn't lose this rivalry. Kane squash... exciting? This feud with Wyatt should be good. A good win for Rollins over Sheamus. Roman Reigns! I like the Reigns/Heyman pairing. A good promo exchange between Harper/Rowan and The Hardy Boyz. Their match at Extreme Rules will be good. Four quality workers. I really don't like the idea of Sami Zayn being a heel. He is not fit to be a heel, and he really wouldn't translate well as a heel. That is a big problem. Sami Zayn is the natural face, but now you've stripped that away from him. Personally, I'd say it was a bad booking decision. I would've added anybody else bu Zayn in the Purge group. It's just.. no.. Anyway, reading along, a good win for Ziggler. He needs to look strong heading into the Extreme Rules main event because he is overshadowed. I think you're trying to be too much like Ryan with this whole AJ Lee vs Paige in an extreme situation. This feud has already been done to perfection by Ryan, so it's going to take a lot to get me interested in your version of it. I do see it being Ryan-lite, truthfully. Good win for Bryan, and good post-match antics. Hyped the ER main event. A good angle to close the show. It was innovative. Overall, a decent episode of RAW.

- The WWE spring cleaning is officially underway as the company has announced via their website multiple releases. First, the most notable name is Rey Mysterio as he has been seeking a way out of his contract for some time now. Mysterio had requested and received one final singles match against good friend Batista on the final Raw before WrestleMania before competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
- Other names gone are Aksana, David Otunga, Eva Marie, Kassius Ohno and Vickie Guerrero from the main roster. (Otunga is expected to take an off-television job within the WWE). Brodus Clay, Camacho, Richie Steamboat and Xavier Woods will be gone from NXT. WWE.com also bumped Tyson Kidd from the NXT roster to the main roster, while pushing former United States Champion Ryan Braxton back down. It is apparent the company wants to revamp Braxton after his run on the main roster underwhelmed with the fan base, while Kidd has rejuvenated his career and his fan base in NXT.
- WWE has released an updated schedule of their pay-per-views as Payback will take place on June 1st, Money in the Bank on June 29th, Battleground: King of the Ring on July 20th and Summerslam on August 17th.
- There are numerous reports suggesting that Brock Lesnar will at least be staying in the WWE until at least WrestleMania 31. Although he agreed to a two-year deal upon his return beginning in January of last year, he is being pushed by the WWE to agree to a short-term extension at the least.
- With the roster spots opened up, it has been reported that after a month or so of discussion the WWE has agreed to terms to a deal in order to bring back Chris Masters. The man known as 'The Masterpiece' was released from the company back in 2007 after violating the drug policy a second time. He came back for a very short time in 2009, but was released quickly. This will be his third stint in the company, but he is still at a ripe age of 31. Although he could spend some time in NXT, he could quickly find his way up on the main roster once again as WWE sees him with much more maturity, talent and ability than he did in his early run during his early-mid twenties.

- Was hoping Brock Lesnar would stay longer because there are so many dream matches for Brock so many matches here that he hasn't had
- Chris Masters back in WWE, I like, I really really like this but who knows perhaps a push for Masters if he does come back but I doubt it
- Payback is now your June PPV and Money in the Bank is also your June PPV and King of the Ring is now your July PPV? I wonder if the King of the Ring winner whoever wins it gets a WWE Undisputed Championship match at SummerSlam?
- So Ryan Braxton is back in NXT? I was beginning to wonder what had happened to him but I can see him being brought back up eventually along with Tyson Kidd
- But seeing all these names gone from your roster it makes sense

John Cena with his usual schtick opens up the show. Not sure where The Miz falls into this though unless I missed something. Of course, Cena wins, it would've made no sense for him to lose. Rusev continues to dominate and he'll definitely do the same to the Big Show at Extreme Rules. And AJ Styles becomes the number one contender over Cesaro. I think he's best placed at this level, he's certainly no World Champion on WWE turf. Barrett standing tall did make Styles look a bit weak though, maybe he'll take the title at the event? Obvious victory for Kane in his return and a warning from Wyatt. I still feel that this is a bit lacklustre for Wyatt, coming off the biggest victory of his entire career, but I do get it. Seth Rollins defeats Sheamus thanks to help from Roman Reigns. A possible alliance or just a one-off coincidence? Not often we get to see a tag team segment as opposed to a match. Putting the Hardys through tables makes the Wyatt Family look strong but I don't see them regaining the belts anytime soon. Good win for Ziggler, and the Rhodes Brothers continue to crumble. Could Cody turn into Stardust as a result of their tensions? Paige over Nikki Bella makes sense but as I've said before, ain't no way she's taking the title from AJ this soon. Necessary victory for Bryan Danielson and a slightly crapty main event tbh. But it served its purpose and the main event of Extreme Rules gets its spotlight. I like that the Triple H/Dean Ambrose feud got centre stage on Raw. But I think it's only leading to the Game scoring a rebound victory over Ambrose at Extreme Rules.

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 21st April 2014…John Cena opening the show made sense, given that he is one of the three contenders to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in under two weeks. It was refreshing for someone not involved in that title mix to interrupt Cena, and I liked the Miz reprising his role as Cena’s former rival. The match that followed made sense, and it was a good win for Cena that didn’t really damage anything to do with the main event scene, and for Miz’s current role this makes ideal sense. That said, I’m wondering if you have any ideas for Miz’s mobility in 2014 at this point. Have you noticed that the Five Knuckle Shuffle is a move Cena hasn’t successfully been able to hit in quite some time now? Random thought. Rusev with a win against Sin Cara was fine, and the promo beforehand from Lana made sense too. Try not to rely too heavily on that Vladimir Putin part of their act. I do like the twist that you kept him Bulgarian, though. I really think the idea of the Accolade being applied on someone of the Big Show’s size should be the big story of their match at Extreme Rules, and if/how Rusev could put it on him. I think that would get Rusev some instant big-time momentum. A double segment talk time for Lana, which is never a bad thing considering she’s still relatively unknown. AJ Styles defeating Antonio Cesaro was best in the role it served, as the first-hour main event in the finals of the tournament. So now we have four shows for Styles to look credible against Wade Barrett – I’m sceptical about if you end up giving AJ the Intercontinental Championship though. That would be a façade of the tournament contention concept. Not much is going Cesaro’s way lately, other than reaching the finals of this tournament, though. Kane destroying Curtis Axel was expected, as this was the ideal re-introduction of Kane into competition. It works better than keeping Kane out of the ring until Extreme Rules given Kane’s size and lack of wrestling ability to someone like the Purge, who is an act you’re keeping out of action initially. Wise thinking, there. Kane’s promo afterwards was nice, but I think you should have waited until SmackDown for Bray Wyatt’s reaction. His reaction was good, but I do think this should have been more about Kane returning to the ring. Falls Count Anywhere sounds like the best gimmick match for this angle, and honestly I could get behind seeing this feud branch out to the June pay-per-view actually. Seth Rollins defeating Sheamus made sense, a good, competitive match that helped Rollins’ momentum out as he also gets projected into the main event title mix. You’re holding back on the fatal four-way main event hype tonight, which may not be the worst thing. The Hardys and the Wyatt Family with talk time? That was a strange decision to me. It appeared well executed though, was just a bit strange to see promo time dedicated to a title match. Time for another round of the Hardys and the Wyatts for the WWE Tag Team Championship. I think Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes could have an awesome feud, so I was cool with this. Pulling the trigger on the Cody Rhodes and Goldust’s dissension this soon I’m a bit sceptical of, but alright. Small doses and slow burn is your friend here. Another win for a fatal four-way competitor to further promote this match. A loss for a contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would make this pattern less repetitive, though. Ziggler and Cena’s interaction was quite interesting. We’ll see how this bond goes in two weeks. Paige defeating Nikki Bella made sense, I would have loved to see some comedy interaction with William Regal and Brie Bella at ringside for this one. Just to get over that Regal is the snivelling mentor/manager of the Divas Champion. Would have been fun. I wonder if you have any plans for the Bellas – I don’t think their characters would have fit the ‘victim of Paige’s I Quit threats’ angle. It made Paige look ruthless, but what kind of babyface is AJ Lee to not make the save here? Daniel Bryan defeating Mark Henry was expected at this point. Bryan’s the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, so this win for him was vital. It kind of shows you that Bryan isn’t the main priority as WWE World Heavyweight Champion without an over opponent like John Cena or Dolph Ziggler – being overshadowed by Triple H and Dean Ambrose – that said, this is what this episode is for. Just hopefully long-term, I hope Bryan isn’t seen as much of an afterthought. Ambrose going after Triple H and Stephanie McMahon via WWE Headquarters would be a very fun angle. Show-closing worthy? I wouldn’t say so. I think it would have worked better somewhere earlier in the show. It sets up Triple H getting revenge, though. I just don’t think this was right for the main event segment. Overall, this was a good show mixing up the storylines a little bit as well as evolving them to the next step.

APRIL 24, 2014 FROM THE GIANT CENTER IN HERSHEY, PENNSYLVANIA
Following the WWE signature video, the cameras come inside of the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome everybody to the show where tonight, opponents on Monday and at Extreme Rules team up tonight in John Cena and Dolph Ziggler to take on former WWE Tag Team Champions, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Also, Seth Rollins found out on Monday that he has to go one on one with Ryback!
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION WADE BARRETT (W/THE COMMONWEALTH) DEF. ANTONIO CESARO IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings, Barrett stepping out of the ring quickly after being rattled with a multitude of uppercuts. After getting back in and avoiding Cesaro some more, he nails a boot to the gut and begins to take control. He misses on an early Bullhammer attempt, however, allowing Cesaro to shock him with a big powerslam. He goes for the Cesaro Swing after a little while, Barrett managing to squirm free and roll out of the ring, a commercial break proceeding. Following the break, Barrett keeps Cesaro grounded in a headlock and keeps him down with forearms and boots, followed by chokeholds over and over. He misses on a boot, however, allowing Cesaro to blast him with a vicious uppercut that turns momentum his way. After a few very hard slams, he pulls off the Cesaro Swing - going around sixteen times! He cranks his neck for the Neutralizer but Damien Sandow hops on the apron, Cesaro rushing up to him and blasting him with a shot to the face. He turns right around to the Bullhammer Elbow from Barrett, whom hooks both legs up for the three.
The Pennsylvania crowd boos as Barrett gets back on to his feet with a chuckle, placing his boot on the chest of Cesaro before pushing him out of the ring. The rest of The Commonwealth enter the ring behind him and he takes a microphone from Paige, glaring out to the fans. "AJ Styles, you may have think you won the tournament to get a shot at my Intercontinental Championship. But in reality, you actually lost. Because whether it was yourself, or Cesaro here, who won on Monday night it was just asking for a beating... I proved it tonight against Antonio and come Extreme Rules, I'm going to prove it against you because the king... always reigns supreme." He lets out a laugh and raises his championship belt above his head.
Returning from break, The Commonwealth are walking backstage with smiles across their faces, Barrett still boasting about his victory against Antonio Cesaro. They are suddenly stopped in their tracks by Mick Foley, whom asks them to wait just a second. "Wade, congratulations on your victory. You've been one hell of an Intercontinental Champion... however, I have happened to notice that ever since you won that title you've won a lot of your matches with the help of your group here." Barrett informs him that they are called The Commonwealth, to which Foley shrugs off. "Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I just contacted AJ Styles and told him about a match this Monday against your right hand man there, Damien Sandow." Barrett questions what the Commissioner is getting towards and he lets Wade know that if Styles beats Sandow on Raw this Monday, the entire Commonwealth is banned from ringside for their match at Extreme Rules. "Have a nice day!" Foley says before heading off, Barrett left furious!
Elsewhere, in the locker room, is John Cena. He is approached by Dolph Ziggler and the crowd inside of the Giant Center buzzes as Cena stands up, staring Dolph down. "John, I just wanted to let you know that despite the fact that we have to face each other on Monday and at Extreme Rules, I want to get the win here tonight against Harper and Rowan..." Cena agrees with Ziggler, saying that he feels the same way. He doesn't believe in losing, no matter who he has to partner up with. Ziggler nods, warning Cena that he better not get in his way. "Hey, same goes to you." Retorts Cena, Dolph looking him up and down before heading out of the room.
A promo video airs for the next WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, coming in just ten days on May 4, 2014 from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It features the official theme song "My Demons" by Starset. The one night of the year where WWE goes completely extreme: WWE Extreme Rules, live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.
DIVA'S CHAMPION AJ LEE DEF. CAMERON IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The match starts with AJ sending Cameron to the mat repeatedly, getting smashed in the face with a forearm. Cameron tries to act cocky about it, AJ just responding with a big kick to the back of the head! The champion unloads and refuses to let up, the referee having to step in multiple times. AJ proceeds to send one more kick to the face before locking in the Black Widow, Cameron screaming out in pain before tapping out.
AJ continues to pull away at the hold as Cameron keeps on screaming out in pain, tapping some more. AJ finally lets up on it with a crazed look in her eye, the official retrieving her Diva's Championship. She snatches her title close to her chest and takes a microphone from the outside, looking in to the main camera. "Paige... this has become more than just about being Diva's Champion... being the best woman wrestler in the WWE... and because of that, at Extreme Rules, I am going to make you say those two words... 'I Quit.'" She drops her microphone to the mat and skips around the downed body of Cameron with a smile.
The cameras transition backstage to show Seth Rollins talking to Derrick Bateman and Tamina Snuka. "I know that big dumb moron has been getting on your case, Derrick, so what do ya say?" After looking to Tamina he nods, shaking hands with Rollins. Seth snickers and walks off, as it appears he has something up his sleeve as he goes one on one with Ryback next.
SETH ROLLINS DEF. RYBACK » The bell sounds and Rollins escapes from Ryback's grasp multiple times to start things off, hitting a series of kicks to the legs to try and keep 'The Big Guy' away from him. He avoids a smash in the corner and follows up with a neckbreaker that leads to a near fall. After multiple two counts for Rollins, he goes for the Curb Stomp early but Ryback gets right up and catches him - lifting him off the mat and nailing the military press. He gets some momentum going but as he is getting fired up for the Meat Hook Clothesline, Derrick Bateman comes rushing down to the ring and walks right in to the Meat Hook himself! Tamina stands outside of the ring as Bateman rolls out to her feet. Ryback leans over the ropes with a laugh, patting his head and calling Bateman 'stupid'. He turns around, however, to Rollins flying off the top rope with his signature knees to the face. He pops right back up and Ryback gets on to his knees, being planted back down with the Curb Stomp! Rollins covers him for the three.
Rollins gets on to his feet to boos, tapping his temple and telling the crowd that Ryback is an idiot! He motions for the Undisputed WWE Championship around his waist while climbing to the second turnbuckle. "Rollins may be slimy, but he certainly is smart." Cole notes on commentary. "Who cares if he is slimy!? That's the kind of intelligence that makes you a champion! Just look at me!" JBL retorts, Rollins continuing his celebration as Bateman and Tamina smile from the outside, Ryback glaring at them in anger from between the ropes.
Back from break, a graphic for Monday Night Raw is shown for Chris Jericho making his first appearance since losing his Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania as he is searching for answers from Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe of The Purge. At ringside, Cole and Layfield discuss how The Purge has already taken out CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, causing Cole to question if this is really a wise decision by Jericho. "Chris Jericho is going to do whatever Chris Jericho wants!" Responds JBL. "I wouldn't call out three dangerous men at one time, even if it did mean well. Owens, Zayn and Crowe didn't just take out CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, they destroyed them! Chris Jericho may as well have put himself on the hit list for The Purge." Cole proceeds to send things backstage to Renee Young.
She is standing by with R-Truth, whom is shaking his head. Young asks him about what is going on with The New Nation and Bo Dallas and what we can expect to see come of what has been an apparent fallout. "The New Nation is no longer together, Renee! Much to my disappointment, all of my friends have left me behind. Just like they wanted! They fell to the pressure, Renee, and I done got got!" He prepares to say more but Bo Dallas walks up, his ridiculously goofy smile across his face. With a thumbs up, he tells Truth not to worry. "You aren't alone, Truth, you still have me! As a matter of fact, I got us an opportunity tonight. An opportunity to show everyone in the world that us African Americans can not be held down!" The crowd laughs in the background as Truth's eyes widen at the comments, Dallas still showing a ridiculous grin. "So, tonight, you and I are teaming up! I'll see you out there, Truth... and remember, all you have to do to make this work is... Bo-lieve!" He walks away, Truth left shaking his head.
Still to come later on is John Cena and Dolph Ziggler versus Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
BO DALLAS AND R-TRUTH DEF. THE RHODES BROTHERS » The match begins between Dallas and Goldust, the latter getting a quick upperhand only to have things turned right over to Bo after a dropkick. He starts to run around the ring with his thumbs up in the air. He gives a big smile to Truth and offers him the tag, which he takes. As soon as he gets in to the ring, however, Goldust drops him with a boot to the gut. He and Cody take control of things but start to get heated with each other as they keep tagging in and out. After some shoving back and forth, Dallas makes the blind tag with Truth - whom runs forward and dropkicks Goldust in to his brother, dropping Cody between the ropes and to the floor. Goldust staggers back up and turns around to a kick to the gut from Dallas, followed up by the running Bo-Dog! The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Bo hooks the outside leg up for the three count.
Dallas rises on to his feet and once again begins to circle the ring, very excited over the victory. Truth just stares him down with his hands on his hips, shrugging his shoulders in disbelief. Dallas tries to get him excited about the victory and raises his arm up, getting out of the ring. He heads up the ramp and Truth slowly follows, not sure what to think about this win.
Back in the ring, Goldust gets on to his knees. Cody slowly steps in to the ring and looks at his brother, hesitating before speaking. After stopping himself four times, he finally snaps and yells at his brother. "You've got to be kidding me! How do we lose to those guys!? HOW!? TELL ME HOW!" He pushes the hands away of Goldust and storms out of the ring, running his hands over his head repeatedly in frustration as the 'Bizarre One' is left in disappointment in the ring.
SHEAMUS DEF. CURTIS AXEL » The bell rings and after some trash talk from Axel, Sheamus smacks him in the face! The 'Celtic Warrior' unloads with shots to the head and tosses Axel around with multiple slams. He goes for the Brogue Kick but Axel rolls out to the apron, getting back up with a laugh. Sheamus, however, takes a hold of him by the neck and leans him up against the ropes, clobbering him ten times. He launches Curtis back over the ropes and drops him with the Irish Curse. He gets back up and backs to the corner, pounding his chest with the 'Brogue' chants going. Axel rises and turns to the Brogue Kick! Sheamus covers him for the win.
The 'Great White' gets back on to his feet, pounding on his chest some more well letting out a yell to the crowd. He looks down at Axel, taking some deep breaths. He grows a grin across his face and steps out of the ring, looking underneath the apron to pull out a table! The crowd cheers as he slides it underneath the ropes and sets it up, pulling Axel back on to his feet. He pulls him up with a powerbomb and smashes him right through the table! The crowd pops for Sheamus as he continues to fire the crowd up, motioning for the United States Championship back around his waist as he faces Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules in a Tables Match.
The signature of The Wyatt Family hits but as opposed to Bray Wyatt, it is just Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in the darkness. Harper widens his eyes and peers in to the camera. "These eyes have seen many of things... seen many, many of things... now they have their sights on the WWE Tag Team Championships... and vision them back around our waists... tonight, examples are made of you..." He steps back in to the darkness, Rowan leaning forward from behind his sheep mask, warning 'run' as the signature hits once again, the main event coming up next.
Following the break, Bryan Danielson's theme music hits and the Undisputed WWE Champion proceeds to make his way out, lighting up the crowd with the 'Yes!' chants. He makes his way over to ringside and joins in commentary for the main event match.
LUKE HARPER AND ERICK ROWAN DEF. JOHN CENA AND DOLPH ZIGGLER » The bell rings, Harper and Ziggler starting things. Dolph uses his quickness to rattle Harper early but is suddenly stopped by a big boot to the face. Harper displays his power and gets multiple near falls on the 'Show Off', eventually making the tag to Rowan. He comes in and does some damage, making some back and forth tags with Harper as Cena is left standing on the apron unable to do anything to help. As Rowan goes for a powerbomb, however, Ziggler punches his way free and leaps down to the mat - making the hot, diving tag to Cena. He storms in and drops Rowan with multiple shoulder blocks, eventually chucking him through the ropes and in Harper - sending both men to the floor. He swipes his hands as a commercial break interrupts, after which he remains in the ring controlling Erick. Ziggler calls for the tag but Cena shakes his head, "I got this. Don't worry." He keeps on working away at Rowan, Dolph once again calling for him - only for Cena to continue to refuse. Due to the distraction, Rowan gets the opportunity to blast Cena with a clothesline, following it up with a big powerslam. He tags Harper back in and they do as they did to Ziggler earlier on, not allowing any chance at a tag to be made. "This is why it's every man for himself at Extreme Rules." Bryan points out on commentary. Cena suddenly starts to make a comeback against Harper, however, surprising him by taking him to the mat repeatedly. After the Five Knuckle Shuffle, he looks to make the tag to Ziggler but Dolph pulls back. He drops from the apron slowly and raises his eyebrows with a shrug of the shoulders. "You got this. Don't worry." He says before walking around the ring and up the ramp, Cena getting up to an absolutely brutal clothesline from Harper! Rowan comes in and follows up with a big splash. Harper proceeds to hook both legs up for the one, two, three.
The Hershey crowd boos at the result as Harper and Rowan rise on to their feet, putting their fists up in the air. Harper slaps his partner's chest a few times and motions for the belt around his waist. Rowan nods in agreement as up on top of the stage, Ziggler just smiles at Cena as he looks on from the ring in a daze. As The Wyatt Family exit the ring, Seth Rollins comes sliding in after hopping the barricade! Cena starts to stir and gets dropped with the Curb Stomp! The boos continue to come down as Danielson gets up from the announce table, rushing in to the ring. Rollins manages to hop out of the ring, however, going through the crowd once again. Danielson is left leaning over the ropes staring him down, Seth laughing as he gets towards the backstage area. Thursday Night Smackdown draws to a conclusion.

- WWE Intercontinental Champion and Commonwealth leader Wade Barrett beating Mr. Money in the Bank Cesaro to start off Smackdown, I could see why you had Barrett beat Cesaro because you want to give Barrett as much momentum as possible heading into his Extreme Rules title defense against AJ Styles but I think Cesaro should have benefited more by winning this match because he is already Mr. Money in the Bank a future WWE Undisputed Champion and it is like ever since he has won Money in the Bank it is like he isn't at the level of where he should be, it is like he is a midcarder even with the briefcase when he should be built up to be a main eventer I mean that is what the Money in the Bank briefcase is for
- Love Foley with the announcement that if AJ Styles somehow beats Commonwealth member and Barrett's stablemate Sandow then all of The Commonwealth including Barrett's girlfriend the former WWE Divas Champion Paige will all be banned from ringside, that is an excellent ruling because then that way we can really know just who the better man really is and we can find out just what kind of champion Barrett really is
- Cena and Ziggler backstage, I wonder how they will be able to coexist tonight being partners considering this Monday on RAW they are going to be facing each other one on one, they are bound to turn on each other
- WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee beating Cameron making her tap out to the Black Widow and not letting go of the hold, excellent message AJ is sending to Paige, direct message being sent and that this I Quit Match for the WWE Divas Championship is not just about the title but it is about proving more or less who is the best woman wrestler in WWE, yes I am really looking forward to this I Quit Match, which diva will have to utter the words I Quit?
- Derrick Bateman and Tamina making a deal with Seth Rollins of all people when it comes to Ryback, I definitely did not see this one coming
- Seth Rollins beating Ryback, no doubt because of Bateman getting involved let's just call it for what it really is but Rollins still gets the win because he used his brains he used his intelligence to beat power and strength, every quality a top heel should have and Rollins has that in spades I mean he takes advantage of the situation while Ryback is distracted but you can bet Ryback/Bateman this feud is far from over
- Chris Jericho interviewing The Purge on RAW this Monday on the Highlight Reel I don't know if Jericho is just plain stupid or if he has a death wish considering what they have already done to CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio, they could add Jericho to the list of superstars that they have taken out
- The New Nation is no more, I knew they wouldn't last and honestly I think it is for the best if you ask me but at the same time seeing Truth and Bo Dallas together like this I was expecting Truth to beat the holy hell out of Bo Dallas because he sure as hell is asking for it
- Bo Dallas and R-Truth beating The Rhodes Brothers, this just continues to add to the dissension between Goldust and Cody Rhodes and after this I can either see Cody Rhodes turning on his brother beating the holy hell out of Goldust or Cody Rhodes becoming Stardust either scenario I would be all for, and honestly I wonder what The American Dream Dusty Rhodes is thinking right now watching his sons implode here? I wonder if you will involve The American Dream in this feud? If you do then I wonder which son he'll side with considering he is their father and the 2 of them are his sons he loves them both
- Sheamus beating Curtis Axel, a great match a really great match and honestly this was a great match for Sheamus to send a message to the WWE United States Champion and Paul Heyman Guy Roman Reigns, Sheamus powerbombing Axel through a table post-match considering Sheamus has to face Paul Heyman's client Roman Reigns for the WWE United States Championship at Extreme Rules in a Tables Match, how appropriate for Sheamus to put his opponent through a table and considering Sheamus' record in Tables Matches I would say he has a good chance of becoming WWE United States Champion again
- WWE Undisputed Champion Danielson on commentary for the main event, I definitely like this
- And in the main event the former WWE Tag Team Champions Harper & Rowan of the Wyatt Family with a big win beating 2 former World Champions in Cena and Ziggler, this is a really big win for them considering they have to face The Hardy Boyz at Extreme Rules in a TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships but also we knew it was only a matter of time before Cena and Ziggler disintegrated, Ziggler leaving Cena to fend for himself, I loved it because Cena is always trying to take the glory he is always trying to take the spotlight so Ziggler leaving shouldn't really be all that surprising
- Then Cena post-match getting Curb Stomped by Rollins, now that is a sight I can enjoy each and every time but then Danielson trying to get to Rollins but Rollins high-tailing it to end Smackdown, I wonder why Ziggler didn't come back post-match?

Still a fan of this layout. It makes me miss my split with Ryan and Elliot. Wade Barrett and Antonio Cesaro is a good way to start, as this would be hard hitting as hell. As a fan, I wonder when Cesaro will cash in. He's Mr. Money in the Bank right? I'm not mixing diaries am I? Anyway, while I would like to see AJ Styles in a huge spot in the company, him as Intercontinental Champion is something I could get behind. Banning the Commonwealth makes sense, but at Extreme Rules I was thinking a steel cage match would work well. Having AJ Lee win via submission is great leading into the I Quit match. I appreciate that this feud is about being the best woman in the company. I appreciate that you've given it a different vibe than Ryan's and I look forward to what you do with it. Seth Rollins over Ryback is pretty big since I've seen Ryback do very well in this diary. I would love to see him as the next Undisputed Champion. While I am one of the people against a heel Sami Zayn, I am interested in the Purge and how exactly you handle them. I like the idea but hope it differs from the Shield. Surprised to hear that the New Nation have split. Bo Dallas is great though. Was upset at their win but it furthers the Dallas/Truth stuff, while also furthering the eventual split between the Rhodes Brothers. #AXELMANIA DAMMIT! Sheamus winning was obvious though. I am all for the Roman Reigns/Sheamus program because it would be hard hitting fun. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan winning the main event was for the best because any win over John Cena and Dolph Ziggler is a big one. Seth's slimy post match interaction was great and fit him perfectly. A really fun Smackdown and dammit if the Extreme Rules card doesn't look awesome. I'm looking forward to it more than WrestleMania actually.

APRIL 28, 2014 FROM THE SCOTTRADE CENTER IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
The Monday Night Raw intro airs and the cameras come in to the Scottrade Center from St. Louis, Missouri! Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield give the introduction to the show, just six nights away from Extreme Rules! Tonight, John Cena and Dolph Ziggler - two men taking part in the Undisputed WWE Championship this Sunday - face each other. Also, The Wyatt Family compete in six man tag team action against their respective rivals and opponents come Sunday, Kane and WWE Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz. Plus, Chris Jericho is here and has invited Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe of the new group The Purge on to The Highlight Reel! All this and more to come tonight on Raw!
The theme music of Bryan Danielson hits, the crowd exploding immediately. The Undisputed WWE Champion proceeds to make his way out to the stage and gazes all around the arena with a big smile across his face. He hops down the ramp, pumping his title belt in the air to the 'Yes!' chants of the St. Louis fans. He makes his way in to the ring, taking a microphone from ringside. He goes to speak, but is drowned out still by the chants. "Alright, alright. You guys know I can say more than that, right?" The chants continue going and he laughs, playing along with it and shouting it along with the fans. As the crowd finally dies down a bit, he gets a bit more serious. "This Sunday I have to defend this Undisputed WWE Championship. Not against one man, not two... but three men. Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler and John Cena. You know, I've faced both Dolph and John at WrestleMania before and those were two of the hardest fought matches of my entire career... then I faced Brock Lesnar at this year's WrestleMania." Some heavy boos from the crowd, Danielson saying that Brock put him through hell at WrestleMania - no pun intended - but he prevailed. "And this Sunday at Extreme Rules, I'm going to take my experience of that hell and show to Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler and John Cena why I am the Undisputed WWE Champion and why I will remain Undisputed WWE Champion!" He gets a big pop from the crowd and the 'Yes!' chants again ring out, Seth Rollins' music suddenly hitting.
Rollins marches out to the stage with a microphone clutched, waving his hand and calling for his music to be cut. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Bryan, Bryan, Bryan... you mentioned how you've faced John Cena and Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania before and that you beat 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar this year but you know what you haven't done? You haven't faced and beaten me at WrestleMania, let alone at all. This Sunday it was supposed to be just you and me facing each other for that belt and you're lucky that it isn't anymore because I would've had more time to you myself..." He chuckles and steps in to the ring, shrugging his shoulders at Danielson and suggesting that it doesn't matter, though, because he has no problem putting Ziggler and Cena in their place, too. "So why don't you put your money where your mouth is and face me right now, Seth?" Danielson suggests to the delight of the crowd, Rollins shaking his head and laughing at the challenge. "I don't think you want to do that, Bryan. I don't think you want to put yourself at such a risk! Because we both know I'd cave your head in and you probably wouldn't make it to Extreme Rules... so consider it me doing you a favor by declining your challenge and letting you live to see this Sunday." He starts to back towards the ropes, Danielson asking why he would come out here and boast about how he could beat him and then not do it. Seth shakes his head, saying he doesn't have to answer any question that Danielson has. As he prepares to exit the ring, however, Commissioner Mick Foley's music hits - the St. Louis fans cheering loudly as the 'Hardcore Legend' makes his way out to the stage, telling Rollins to hold on. "You know, Seth, I happen to agree with the Undisputed WWE Champion on this one! You think you can beat him, so go ahead and prove it. Since we already have Dolph and John facing each other later on, you two can face each other... right now!" Rollins tries to argue against it but Foley just simply tells him to 'have a nice day!' and goes to the back.
UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION BRYAN DANIELSON DEF. SETH ROLLINS VIA COUNT-OUT IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings and Rollins tries to back off early on, Danielson managing to catch him in the corner with a series of kicks that causes Seth to pull between the ropes and force the referee to break things up. He cheap shots Danielson and begins a beat down, hitting him with multiple stomps and punches that is followed up by a hard suplex that results in a near fall. As Rollins gets some momentum going, he is suddenly stopped by a big winding kick to the back of the head! Danielson goes for the pin, but gets a two count of his own. A commercial break interrupts the match and after it, Rollins is back in control and keeps working away at the neck and head of Bryan. He sets up for a Curb Stomp after top rope knees, only for the Undisputed WWE Champion to move out of the way and roll him up - getting a close count of two. Rollins pops back up for another Curb Stomp, this time having Bryan get up way too quickly to execute, being met with a kick to the mid-section. Danielson pushes Seth in to the corner and hits him with multiple dropkicks, setting up for the Running Knee after sending him to the mat. Rollins, however, rolls out of the ring - leaving Bryan to change course and hit a suicide dive! The crowd cheers Danielson on as he staggers back up, getting the 'Yes!' chants brewing once more. He staggers back in to the ring, getting on to his feet. The referee gets to a count of eight as Rollins gets on to his feet, starting to come back to the ring only to change his mind. He throws his hands up and backs up the ramp, the official getting to a count of ten.
The WWE Universe shows their displeasure for the result as Rollins continues to make his way towards the back. "I'm doing you a favor!" He shouts at Danielson, whom is left shaking his head with a grin knowing he had Rollins on the ropes here tonight.
Backstage is Renee Young and she is standing by with Goldust. She thanks him for his time here tonight and asks how things are going with his brother, Cody, as we've seen some dissension between the two of them as of late. "Cody is frustrated." He says, putting his hands on his hips. "And so am I. I don't know if he realizes that... but, we are brothers. We have to work through these tough times and try and get back on track... because everyone knows that when The Rhodes Brothers are on track, we are capable of being the best tag team in the WWE." He looks off as Cody steps forward, patting his brother on the shoulder. "My brother, I apologize." He says, telling Goldust that he has been a bad brother, a bad sport. He wants to get things back on track and tonight, he has put him in a match against one of the guys they lost to last week on Smackdown, Bo Dallas. "Let's go out there and get you back on track." Cody says before heading off, Goldust left looking a bit curious at the choice of words.
Returning, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are in their office backstage and Hunter is fuming. "What Dean Ambrose did last week... only fueled me more, Steph. I want him finished! He made the wrong choice by not backing out of our match this Sunday and I am going to teach him a lesson in respecting authority... but you know what? I might not wait until then... maybe I'll do something about it tonight." He breaths heavily, Stephanie telling him to do what is best for himself, best for the family and best for business.
BO DALLAS (W/R-TRUTH) DEF. GOLDUST (W/CODY RHODES) » The match begins in favor of Goldust but after missing a clothesline in the corner, things turn completely in favor of Dallas. He surprises Goldust multiple times by taking him down repeatedly and he gives Truth a big thumbs up after delivering a suplex, Truth slapping his hand away from between the ropes. "Get ya thumb outta my face!" He shouts, Goldust taking the opportunity to go for The Final Cut. Dallas, however, manages to writhe his way free and hit a kick to the gut, followed up by the Running Bo-Dog! He hooks both legs up for the one, two, three.
Dallas gets back on to his feet and starts to run around in circles inside of the ring, shouting to the crowd in joy with both thumbs up high. Truth is left with his eyes widened as his, somewhat forced, partner hops out of the ring and attempts to hug him. They start to make their way towards the back as Cody gets in to the ring slowly, helping his brother back on to his feet. "It's okay, it's okay." He says, Goldust apologizing for the loss. "Don't worry about it! We'll get back on our feet soon enough!" Cody says before suddenly shoving his brother down on to the mat. "You like the way that feels!?" He shouts with a furious look across his face. "DIDN'T THINK SO! GET BACK UP! THAT'S WHAT WE DO IN THIS FAMILY! WE GET BACK UP!" Goldust slowly does so, Cody brushing by his brother while staring him down, exiting the ring. "What in the world has gotten in to Cody Rhodes?" Questions Michael Cole on commentary.
Backstage, Dean Ambrose is seen walking through the halls. He is apparently making his way towards the ring and plans to address Triple H just days ahead of their match at Extreme Rules.
Back from the break, Dean Ambrose's music hits and the St. Louis fans pop for the 'Lunatic Fringe'! He makes his way down the ramp and in to the ring, hitting off the ropes multiple times while throwing his hands up to get the crowd going. He takes a microphone from ringside and pats it repeatedly, coming in to the middle of the ring. "Well, well, well, well! WELL! Ain't it grand to be standing here in St. Louis, Missouri." He says with a chuckle, giving a thumbs up as Mick Foley typically does with his cheap pop. "Nothing quite like that cheap pop, folks. But hey, how about some cheap heat, huh? How about I mention the names Triple H and Stephanie McMahon?" The boos ring out as Ambrose cups his ear, saying the names of the power couple once again. He wags his finger, saying that is exactly what he was expecting. "Y'know, I've gotten in to Triple H's head. Ever since I began calling him out in November, he has dodged me over and over again, yet continues to threaten to destroy me. So what did I do last week? I dodged him myself and I did a little bit of spring cleaning at his office in Stamford..." He gestures up to the titantron, going back to the footage of last week where he appeared via satellite to destroy Triple H's office back at WWE Headquarters, angering him and Stephanie from back inside of the Baltimore Arena.
Back live, the crowd laughs at the footage, as does Ambrose. "Man, that was some fun stuff. But you know what is going to be even more fun!? When I get Triple H inside of a steel cage this Sunday at Extreme Rules and I grind his head against the walls of that cage like a cheese grater... I wanna make him bleed, guys... I wanna make him suffer and I wanna make him cry! I wanna make him cry so bad that every time he goes back to his offices in Connecticut and sees my face on the walls he starts to cry again and again! I want him to go home and see his children and have them look up and say, 'Daddy, why do you cry like a little girl?' and have them laugh in his face!" He prepares to say more but 'King of Kings' hits, Triple H marching his way out atop the stage along with Stephanie McMahon, clearly having heard enough of Ambrose. "Dean... I warned you... I warned you to back out of our match and what did you do? You disrespected me even further and now you've signed your own death warrant. This Sunday, I am going to rip you limb from limb! I am going to destroy you! I am going to teach you a lesson in respect for The Authority and I am going to make sure you never... EVER! Cross me again..." Ambrose quickly snaps back, saying he shouldn't be calling himself The Authority since they lost that privilege a while back to Mick Foley. The fans cheer in agreement of Ambrose, Hunter growing a smile across his face. "Shouldn't call ourselves The Authority, huh? If we shouldn't call ourselves The Authority then tell me why I can get away with this..."
Suddenly, multiple security guards come in to the ring from behind and tackle Ambrose to the mat! Michael Cole does a quick count on commentary to point out that there is six of them and they don't let Ambrose get up, handcuffing him to the ring ropes! Triple H proceeds to march his way down the ramp, removing his suit jacket and unbuttoning his shirt in the process. He reaches underneath the ring and pulls out his signature sledgehammer slowly, sliding in to the ring as the crowd boos. Ambrose kicks around wildly as Hunter orders the security guards out of the ring, pointing up to ceiling. A steel cage slowly starts to descend, Ambrose laughing while kicking around. "Come on then, Hunter! COME ON!" He shouts, the cage finally reaching down to the floor. The 'Cerebral Assassin' proceeds to step forward as Ambrose gets on to his knees, delivering a devastating shot to the head! 'The Game' takes some deep breaths before nailing multiple shots across the back! He drags Dean's lifeless body up on to the knees once again, grabbing him by the face. "You will learn!" He shouts before driving him straight in to the cage wall not once, not twice but eight times! He finally pulls back, throwing his hammer against the wall. He backs off towards the door, taking his time to exit through it. After he does so, he gazes out to the booing crowd with a sick grin across his face. Stephanie stands up with him on the steel steps and they kiss, medics rushing their way down to the ring and calling for the cage to be lifted. "Can you imagine if Triple H does this to Ambrose on Sunday...?" Cole questions. "Imagine how much more damage he might inflict if given this opportunity once again..."
Still to come later on is John Cena versus Dolph Ziggler. But coming up next, it is a six man tag team match as The Wyatt Family goes up against Kane and The Hardy Boyz!
KANE AND WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE HARDY BOYZ DEF. THE WYATT FAMILY » The bell sounds as Bray starts off with Matt, the two going back and forth with heavy shots until Wyatt takes control with a big slam. He plays some mind games with Kane and Jeff as they stand on the apron, allowing Matt to drop him with a big forearm to the face. He gets some momentum brewing and makes the tag to Jeff, The Hardy Boyz dominating Wyatt until he hits a big body block in to Jeff. He makes the tag to Harper and he rushes in, blasting Jeff with a big boot. He and Rowan make back and forth tags until things spill to the outside, all hell breaking loose between the six men - leading to a commercial break in midst of the action. Following the break, The Hardy Boyz dominate Rowan with back and forth tags, hitting some hard hitting and high flying moves that result in multiple two counts. Jeff misses on the Whisper in the Wind, however, allowing Rowan to hit off the ropes - Harper making the blind tag - and come back with a big clothesline. Luke comes in to the ring and goes for the pin, getting a two count. He starts a beat down on Jeff and goes for the powerbomb after a short while, only for the 'Charismastic Enigma' to get free and make the tag to Kane! He comes in to the ring and unleashes with shots to the chin, Rowan and Wyatt coming in to the ring to be met with the same fate. He clasps Bray by the throat and hits him with the Chokeslam! Harper comes charging forward and nails a big boot, Rowan getting back up and being met by a double team form Matt and Jeff. Harper gets caught up in the mix and is dropped to the mat, Rowan and the tag team champions spilling to the outside. Harper staggers back up and turns right in to a Chokeslam from Kane! The 'Big Red Machine' hooks the far leg up for the three count.
Kane staggers back up on to his feet and is joined in the ring by The Hardy Boyz. Wyatt sits at the bottom of the stage, staring at Kane as he raises his arms up and brings them down, setting off his signature pyro at the ring posts. Wyatt, however, simply laughs in response to it.
Returning, Titus O'Neil is seen standing in the ring with a microphone in his hand. The crowd boos as he brings it up. "The New Nation may have broken up... but this is the beginning. A new beginning... for Titus O'Neil!" As the boos continue, he tells the crowd to shut up and gives his signature bark. "Now, if anybody back there thinks they can stop 'The Real Deal' Titus O'Neil then I dare you to come on down to this ring... and try and stop the Titus train from going through you!" He gives another bark, stopping as Big Show's music proceeds to hit.
BIG SHOW DEF. TITUS O'NEIL » The referee calls for the bell and Titus steps forward, ordering Show to get out of the ring before 'something bad happens' to him. O'Neil turns around after telling Show he'll give him five seconds. After counting, he turns back around and the 'World's Largest Athlete' simply clocks him with the Knockout Punch! He gets the easy pin.
Show rises back on to his feet and grabs a microphone, looking up the ramp. "Rusev! I know you're back there... I know you're watching what I just did and don't be thinking I can't do the same to you on Sunday, boy. But since I don't feel like waiting until Extreme Rules... why don't you come on down here and let me show you first hand... or fist... what I'm capable of." He clutches his fist tight and waits, Rusev's music soon hitting. The 'Bulgarian Brute' makes his way out alongside the 'Ravishing Russian' Lana and they stay atop the stage, Lana having a smile across her face and a microphone in her hand. "Stupid, stupid Big Show! We are so scared of you!" She feigns with a laugh. "You may not want to wait until this Sunday, but it would be in your best interest to do so, rather than be crushed right now by the super-athlete, Rusev!" Show says he is sick and tired of hearing the crap out of her mouth and he wants Rusev to get his ass down to the ring right now, he doesn't care! Rusev just shakes his head with a smile, however, Show turning back to O'Neil as he starts to get on to his feet, taking him by the throat!
Show proceeds to deliver the Chokeslam to Titus, Rusev rushing in to the ring from behind and planting him with a kick to the head! The 'Bulgarian Brute' lets out a roar, slamming his foot in to the lower back of the giant. He starts to go for The Accolade but as he tries to get the arms pinned over his legs, Show uses all of his strength to pull up enough to knock Rusev off his back. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner quickly rushes back to try and get the hold in again, Show once more breaking free before it can come even close to being locked in on him. Show stands up straight and hits Rusev with a big boot! The super-athlete rolls out of the ring quickly, backing up the ramp wisely with Lana. Show steps up to the ropes, seething at the mouth. He raises his hand up high with a yell, having sent a message to Rusev here tonight!
Returning from break, a replay from last week on Smackdown is shown where Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett defeated Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match, thanks to some assistance from Damien Sandow. Backstage afterward, Commissioner Mick Foley would inform Barrett that AJ Styles would get to face Sandow on Raw and if Styles is victorious, the entire Commonwealth is banned from ringside for their match at Extreme Rules.
AJ STYLES DEF. DAMIEN SANDOW (W/THE COMMONWEALTH) TO BAN THE COMMONWEALTH FROM RINGSIDE AT EXTREME RULES » As soon as the bell sounds, Sandow drops Styles in to the corner and begins an aggressive beat down. After the referee pulls him away, however, Styles hops right up and sends him to the mat with a clothesline. He delivers multiple dropkicks and gets a two count after a fourth one. Styles keeps the match fast paced but is quickly stopped as Barrett grabs his foot from the outside. Sandow takes the opportunity to roll him up with the tights, only for Styles to power out of it. He gets back up and Damien hits a kick to the stomach, following it up with a hard DDT that results in another two count. Sandow takes some orders from Barrett and begins another beat down in the corner, taking Styles to the top rope only to be hit with a series of punches and be knocked down to the mat. AJ takes a moment to regroup and moves his way to the top rope, looking around the arena before hitting the Spiral Tap! He gets back on to his feet and spreads his arms in the direction of Barrett, letting Sandow rise before planting him with the Styles Clash! He rolls him over slowly for the pin and gets the three count.
As soon as the referee reaches the three count, The Commonwealth hits the ring and Styles rolls out of the ring. He backs up the ramp with a big grin across his face, Barrett furiously leaning across the ropes and vowing his defeat on Sunday. "That's my belt, Wade!" Styles shouts in response, motioning for it around his waist. "Six days until it's right here!"
A graphic appears for what is coming up next as Chris Jericho invites The Purge on to The Highlight Reel, looking for answers as to why the group has done what they have done.
Back from break, the ring is set up for The Highlight Reel and the lights go down to a pop from the crowd, Chris Jericho's music proceeding to hit and his pyros across the stage as he appears on the stage with his lit-up jacket. Fired up, he turns to the crowd and soaks in the cheers. He comes right down in to the ring and takes a microphone from one of his chairs, looking out to the fans as a chant of 'Y-2-J' breaks out. "Thank you all very much for that warm reception and not to mimic what Dean Ambrose did earlier, it is great to be here in St. Louis!" He throws his hand up to the cheers and grins from ear to ear, saying he is out here for one reason and one reason only tonight. "I'm not here to talk about how I lost the Intercontinental Championship match against Wade Barrett at WrestleMania, I'm not here to announce my intentions to compete against anybody but I'm here because I want answers! I want answers for what has happened on two occasions since WrestleMania and, hey, it very well may happen here tonight to me and some people call me crazy for doing this for that very reason..." He mentions how three weeks ago, CM Punk came down to this ring and to the surprise of everyone, the titantron fuzzed up and the word 'PURGE' came across it. Then out came Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe and they took him out. A week later, the same was done to Alberto Del Rio. "Now I stand here before all of you wanting answers from The Purge because they haven't said a damn word since they showed up here and I want to know why they are doing this! So come on, guys, come on... I'm inviting you right here tonight to The Highlight Reel to explain why in the world you have done what you have done! Come on!"
As Jericho waits, the crowd gets buzzing in anticipation. Y2J prepares to say more but the titantron starts to flicker as it has done before. However, it comes to a stop and the lights in the arena flicker a bit as well, the Jeritron inside of the ring being met with the effect. "ANSWERS?" Comes up on the screen and Jericho is left confused, as is the entire WWE Universe. "SUNDAY." Follows up, Jericho waving his hands and shaking his head. "No, no, no. I am not out here to play games, guys! I'm not trying to start any trouble with you, I just want answers like everybody else wants answ-" He stops himself as a loud beeping noise is heard, the Jeritron one again flickering a bit. "ANSWERS. SUNDAY. EXTREME RULES." It says, fading in and out. Y2J nods as the lights in the arena come back up slowly, as it appears that if Jericho wants answers from The Purge, he and everyone else will have to wait until this Sunday.
Backstage is the United States Champion Roman Reigns putting on his wrist tape while sitting on a production trunk. Paul Heyman proceeds to step forward and pats him on the back, the two sharing a smile before heading down the halls as Reigns is in action - next.
Back from the break, Roman Reigns proceeds to make his way down to the ring along with Paul Heyman. As he anticipates his opponent, however, Sheamus' theme music hits and his opponent for Sunday marches his way down from the back and to ringside, as he will be joining in for commentary for the match. He and Reigns stare down for a moment before Antonio Cesaro's music hits, Mr. Money in the Bank coming down to the ring.
ANTONIO CESARO DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION ROMAN REIGNS (W/PAUL HEYMAN) IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings and the two men start off with some stiff, hard hitting action. Cesaro keeps working away at Reigns and goes for a top rope superplex, only for Reigns to shove him back down to the mat and come off with a clothesline! Cesaro gets on to his hands and knees and leans between the ropes, Reigns rolling out of the ring and staring Sheamus down before hitting his signature dropkick to the face! He cocks his fist at Sheamus, whom just shakes his head. "Kinda funny how he cocks his fist with how cocky he is, ain't it?" Says the 'Celtic Warrior' on commentary as Reigns gets back in to the ring, having his legs caught and dropped down to the mat! The Cesaro Swing is performed, Antonio going around thirteen times before letting the United States Champion go. He cranks his neck in preparation for The Neutralizer, only for Paul Heyman to get up on the apron. Cesaro tries to go after him but the referee holds them apart. As Reigns gets back on to his feet, Sheamus comes rushing in to the ring and plants him with the Brogue Kick! He slides out of the ring as Cesaro turns back around, cranking his neck once again before pulling Reigns up to drop him with the Neutralizer right in the middle of the ring. He hooks the inside leg up for the pinfall.
Heyman screams in frustration from the outside, Sheamus getting back in to the ring with a table and a smile across his face. He shakes hands with Cesaro, the Money in the Bank holder exiting the ring as Sheamus sets the table up. Before he can even grab a hold of Reigns, however, as Heyman comes in to the ring and hops on to his shoulders. Sheamus chucks him off and backs him in to the corner, turning back to Reigns and avoiding a clothesline that ends up hitting Heyman! Reigns puts his hands on his head in disbelief of what he just did, turning around to Sheamus lifting him off the mat and dropping him right through the table! The crowd pops for the 'Celtic Warrior' as he pounds on his chest, spreading his fists out with a laugh. He pops up and prepares for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, only for Dolph to kip up before he can hit it and blast Cena with a superkick! He follows up with the Fameasser but Cena manages to kick out of the pin attempt. Ziggler is shocked as a commercial break follows. Upon the return, the two men keep going back and forth and start to exchange punches, the crowd going back and forth with full on cheers for Ziggler and a mixed reaction for Cena. John takes control of the strikes and hits a huge shoulder block, hitting two more before executing on the Five Knuckle Shuffle. The two slowly get back up on opposite sides of the ring and collide in the middle, Cena slamming Ziggler in to the corner and pummeling him with fists and a couple of shoulders. He backs off before coming back with a clothesline, Dolph managing to avoid it and sweep the legs out - rolling him up for another near fall! He goes for the Zig Zag again but Cena holds on to the ropes, letting Dolph get up before launching him over the ropes. The 'Show Off' lands on the apron, however, and climbs to the top rope. Seth stands over him and runs his hands through his hair, scooping the title belt back up slowly.
