Monday Night RAW. Intrigued to see who becomes the number one contender. Good promo to kick off the show with Dolph Ziggler channeling his inner Owen Hart. Enough is enough, it's time for a change. I'm still not one hundred percent sold on Sami Zayn being a heel, but you're slowly changing my opinion. A good debut for The Purge, Kevin Owens is the real star of the group. Good promo from Kidd, by the way. Do something with him. As much as I want a push for Kidd, Styles going over was the right call. AJ going ham with the Intercontinental championship! Can somebody please stop him?!? Good promo exchange between Rollins and Lawler, puts a lot of heel heat on Seth. Decent win for The Usos, and I feel dissension between Rhodes Brothers. Could we see the debut of Stardust? Solid win for Cesaro, I hope you let him become world champion. Rematch from last night with the right guy going over. Make Roman look strong. Triple H and Stephanie on a leave of absence? I wonder where you take Ambrose from here. Quick win for AJ Lee, but I hope Paige takes the belt from her. LANA! ...and Rusev. Good promo. Kane defeating Harper? Good, I guess. I would have made it Rowan instead of Harper, personally. Finally, a godly promo (get it? It's a Kevin Steen Show joke) between Mick Foley and Seth Rollins (still don't get the joke? Rollins' backyard wrestling name was God). You just made Seth Rollins the most hated man in the company, the heelest heel of the heels. Keep up with that momentum and let him win at Payback. A good edition of RAW, dude.

So here's the post-Extreme Rules Raw. I think this was the best way to kick things off with John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. Seems like we'll be seeing them clash pretty soon. A necessary victory for The Purge, they're wrecking anyone that stands in their way. A cementing victory for AJ Styles as the new Intercontinental Champion, albeit over Tyson Kidd. I see him having a decent reign. That bastard! Seth Rollins just crushed poor Jerry's head! He'll be off commentary now! Whatever will we do? Good win for The Usos and the inevitable breakdown of the Rhodes Brothers is on the horizon. But I don't know when you'll pull the trigger on that one. Nice to see Cesaro with a victory here, and I hope he is aware of his time to cash-in. Would be interesting if he actually failed to cash-in on time. A rematch for the United States Championship? Not sure it needed the same Tables stipulation but whatever. The Authority taking their leave is interesting. I think it's for the best considering that Triple H has become somewhat of a special attraction and needs to be used sparingly to keep that image. Kane getting some sort of retribution was necessary, but I don't know how this can end well for him. If there's a rematch on the horizon, it would hurt Bray Wyatt to lose at this early stage of being the "21-1" guy. Seth Rollins as the #1 Contender is definitely a wise move considering he never did get his official one-on-one title match. But somehow I don't see him leaving as Champion come Payback.

- Seth Rollins made his debut a little less than two years ago and quickly brought himself up by winning the Intercontinental Championship and holding on to it for eleven and a half months. There was a short test run as him as an aggressive face, but the decision to turn him drastically and full-fledged heel at No Way Out was, according to sources, 'very much desired' by Vince McMahon himself. The same reports also claim that Rollins was not the original choice to win the match at No Way Out, but rather John Cena, but Paul Levesque (Triple H) reasoned otherwise, suggesting the fatal four way.
- Speaking of the fatal four way, the ruthlessness of Seth Rollins' character went to the point of taking out not only Jerry Lawler, but Mick Foley on Monday Night Raw this past week. While it helps build the character of Rollins tremendously, the decision was made to write both men off. Lawler is expected to be back after Payback, as he is taking a small vacation. Mick Foley, on the other hand, may or may not remain in the Commissioner role. He has reportedly said while he has enjoyed his role, he hasn't been a big fan of being on the road every week to fulfill his duties.
- WWE revealed their July pay-per-view will be Battleground: King of the Ring a few weeks ago, having decided to return the King of the Ring tournament for the first time since 2011, which Dolph Ziggler won (for the second year in a row). The winner of the tournament, according to local advertisements, will receive an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Summerslam in August.
- Chris Masters has reported to NXT for upcoming tapings and is expected to take part in it. Officials apparently have the goal to get Masters re-acquainted with the WWE style before hopefully bringing him back to the main roster later in the year.

Good opening Cena/Ziggler segment. I think you booked this and wrote it perfectly. You have Ziggler act the "heel" but at the same time protect his connection with the fans. They get what he's saying and majority will rally against Cena to support him. It's a clever way of elevating him further.
Obvious win for The Purge. However, still too reminiscent of The Shield.
AJ beating Tyson is cool, but I disliked Barrett's post-match promo. He came across as "whiney" and didn't really offer anything. I also dislike AJ taking out the entire group by himself. If you're continuing the feud I would rather have seen them take out AJ and Barrett to rub it in his face.
Fantastic stuff with Rollins. You really captured his bad attitude well and this is definitely something I could see happening on Raw. I don't know whether I like Lawler voluntarily kneeling down (I think he should have been forced) but I understand why. Good work.
Solid win for Cesaro. Again, unsure about him being a credible challenger for the title right now. Hopefully he has a bit more build as I feel he would be thrust into an already overcrowded title picture and stand out like a sore thumb.
Not sure you needed to go with another Tables Match here, especially with the same outcome. Seemed like weak booking to fill time.
The words of Triple H are very similar to those in reality.. the company will go to hell without him and Stephanie. Guess you can't go wrong with that route! I'm unsure then why you had him go over Ambrose at Extreme Rules, because now Ambrose is left in the lurch and won't get his return victory.
Standard Rusev/Lana promo. Would like to see big things from him. I wonder what's next..
Good revenge win for Kane following Extreme Rules, and it continues the feud with Wyatt and keeps Undertaker relevant. Interested to see when you pull the trigger and bring him back.
Again, reuse of a storyline used in reality. Would have liked an (semi)original angle. I like that we'll finally see Rollins get his one-on-one match.. or will he? Foley wasn't going to name Rollins so will the true Number One Contender join the fray? Or will that come at Battleground? Surely this must also play into the situation surrounding Triple H and Stephanie McMahon walking out. With Foley incapacitated and seemingly nobody in charge the company is doomed, right? Pretty decent cliffhanger ending.
An okay show, not your best. Hopefully the coming shows will tie some things together and build a solid Payback pay-per-view.

- Mick Foley and Lawler being written off courtesy of Rollins, I can see why, you want to make Rollins your top heel so of course what better way to give Rollins even more heel heat and Lawler being back after Payback makes sense but Foley if he is written off then I wonder who ends up being the new WWE Commissioner? I can see it being The Nature Boy Ric Flair, Naitch, he ends up being the new WWE Commissioner
- And the King of the Ring tournament being brought back, I love that you are bringing King of the Ring back as a PPV about God damn time too and the winner of this tournament getting a WWE Undisputed Championship match at SummerSlam makes sense and then on top of that you have Mr. Money in the Bank the winner of the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase walking around at the same time, it is perfect
- And Masters being in NXT right now makes sense especially before you bring him up to the main roster, here is hoping Masters you bring him back like the heel Masterpiece he was when he was in WWE back in 2005-06 because he was main event calibre back then

WWE Extreme Rules (5/4/14) - Well I feel as though I got some catching up to do. Interesting match between Bray Wyatt and Kane. Kane trying to avenge the loss for his brother The Undertaker for what Bray did at WrestleMania 30. It was a great match with Bray not using the entire Wyatt Family but he did get by using a monitor to Kane and hitting his sister Abigail to win proving that he is indeed The New Phenom of the WWE. Next match is for the US Title and Reigns still retains without the use of Paul Heyman but his superman punch and spear proved to be the difference maker. AJ and Paige had a great 12-minute diva match, I tell you those ladies put it on all the line but it was in the end that AJ got her championship back. Speaking of another AJ. How bout AJ Styles, he becomes the Intercontinental Champion by defeating Bad News Barrett. It looks like Bad News for the Commonwealth not to mention the entire Commonwealth, maybe we are likely to see a face turn by one of the Commonwealth members, could be Sandow, Paige or Barrett. But who knows, And again we get another attack by Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe on another former World Heavyweight Champion. Punk. Del Rio and Jericho. They've all been royally destroyed, who is the next to fall in their path. Awesome ladder match between The Hardys and The Wyatt Family, Rowan and Harper failed to get their titles back, too bad Rowan and Harper. The Hardys are still untop of the tag team title reign. Rusev gets a huge win over a former World Heavyweight Champion. The Big Show. Rusev winning over The Big Show is unbelievable, I mean Big Show is a former ECW, WWE and World Heavyweight Champion and Rusev defeats the World's Largest Athlete, that has to be considered a big win for Rusev knowing that he won the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal at WrestleMania 30. A good win for Triple H against Dean Ambrose in a Cage Match. But Ambrose puts the exclamation point by delivering the dirty deeds. Danielson is able to retain the title in a Fatal-4 Way Extreme Rules Match, nice win for Danielson. But the question is who is going to be next to challenge Danielson for the title at Payback.
WWE RAW (5/5/14) - Nice start with Cena and Ziggler with Ziggler telling Cena that he's sick of Cena stealing his spotlight and the crowd getting behind Ziggler, are we on the heels of likely a Cena heel turn or is Ziggler staying a heel to take out Cena. The Purge made their debut after attacking 3 World Champions and now they beat Zack Ryder. Justin Gabriel and Darren Young, this was not really a match, it was a total massacre. Styles gets a big non-title win over Kidd but surely Barrett is not done with The Intercontinental Champion and that allowed Styles to take out the Commonwealth as well. But Seth Rollins what a douche, a little bitchboy and crybaby is what he is, He takes out Lawler but first he demands a title match, well with Mick Foley's announcement, I wonder who is the #1 Contender. The Usos with a nice victory over The Rhodes Brothers. There is surely some tag team competition here in the WWE and clearly The Usos and The Hardys are bound to face off for the belts too. Cesaro is still Mr. Money in The Bank getting a huge win over Titus O. Neil, when is Cesaro going to cash in that briefcase, hopefully this will make Cesaro likely a heel, Reigns and Sheamus in a Tables Match again, here we go but this time it wasn't the same outcome like at Extreme Rules. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon taking a leave of absence, well good!. But I don't think you'll keep Triple H down for long, we'll likely see The Game return at Payback to cost Ambrose a match. AJ with a nice win over Cameron, can't take that win from her. And we get a promo by Rusev and Lana, I'm sick of Rusev and Lana talking bout Vladimir Putin. Who could be the next diva that will challenge AJ for the Divas Championship. Kane still fuming over his loss at Extreme Rules gets a win over Wyatt Family Member Luke Harper but again he gets laid out by Bray Wyatt. And just when Foley is about to make his announcement about the #1 Contendership victory. Seth Rollins crashes the party once again like he always does. Foley talks trash to Rollins about him tapping out at Extreme Rules, but Rollins couldn't take it and just beats Foley up, Danielson tries to help Foley out but Rollins holds him hostage by threatening to curb stomp Foley until Foley caves in and gives Rollins a title match at Payback but Rollins anyway takes out the commissioner in a sick way with that Curb Stomp. Rollins vs Danielson is now signed for Payback but I can't believe that Rollins would stoop so low to attack an announcer and not to mention a commissioner for a title shot, what has Rollins done to do that, cash in his opportunity for a title match, I kinda agree with TG11 now. Because I just looked at his comments, I'd like to see Cesaro cash in between Payback if Rollins were to win and Bryan beats the crap out of him or Mick Foley hits the Mandible Claw on Rollins and give Cesaro the championship, it would be nice to do so. Glad that King of The Ring is back too. Who will win The King of The Ring?, Who will be the next King?. Great 2 shows, hope you keep this up man.

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 5th May 2014…Alright, I’m expecting a pretty big episode of RAW following that stacked Extreme Rules card. I love the Spring season for this purpose. John Cena’s promo was expected, opening the show to address his shortcoming to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That heel turn from Dolph Ziggler probably delayed Cena’s road to another inevitable title opportunity (which I suspect will come at SummerSlam), and I suspect that this angle with Ziggler could be a pretty lengthy one perhaps ending at Money in the Bank or something. Now, I’m glad that Ziggler appeared right there on spot to respond to Cena and address why he turned – however if you wanted to drag a long-term rating for this show you should have left Ziggler’s appearance until later on. Regardless, this works and it sets their feud off to a hot start. I’m hoping that Dolph actually gets a good rub from this, for sure. I’ve already explained my disliking for having the Purge’s in-ring debut be on RAW with no advertisement and irrelevant to any storyline implications. Yes, it got to show off Kevin Owens, Solomon Crowe and Sami Zayn – however, I do think you could have used the WWE Network promotion incentive to make people wait until Payback for their in-ring debut on WWE television. It should be a rare thing to see this pack of wolves actually in competition on RAW or SmackDown. Hopefully you keep their roles limited for the time being, anyway. Good promo afterwards – which is all this should have really been. Poor Darren Young, taking the beating because…reasons. I suspect that Chris Jericho will either return for a match or you’ll move the Purge onto something else. I see you’re starting to establish Tyson Kidd’s character, which is always good. A nice promo from Kidd, who almost appeared heelish here. I’m curious what Natalya’s role in this will be. It was obvious that AJ Styles would win here, being the new Intercontinental Champion. I’m sure this would actually be a good match, as well. I suspected the attack from the Commonwealth afterwards, considering Wade Barrett lost the title to AJ last night. I don’t know if I’m up for an extension of their feud up to Payback though, I think it should be a rematch on television or something. Seth Rollins has a right to be angry, given that he was unfairly thrown from the singles WWE World Heavyweight Championship opportunity (which hopefully one day he gets). I think it’s a strange dynamic having a heel wrestler trying to oppose the babyface authority, especially when that authority is Mick Foley. It makes the audience question the topic to me. It’s different, but I don’t think the audience would buy into the angle and would probably cheer for Rollins. Seth taking out Jerry Lawler, okay. It seemed like this was purely here to put Rollins over and regain his heat after losing at Extreme Rules – but if this becomes an angle at one stage, it could actually be good. I don’t think you went with Jerry having a heart attack in 2012, after all. The commentary discussion about Seth probably fuelled Rollins’ new found persona, so that was a nice inclusion. Next, a good win for the Usos against Cody Rhodes and Goldust, as the Rhodes family continues to have their differences. This gimmick idea you have for Cody where he has split-personality disorder all of a sudden could be really well done if done correctly. This is where the booking is strange though – the losers have more of a storyline than the winners. I hope you have something in store for Jimmy and Jey moving forward, not involving Cody and Goldust. Maybe they could be next in line for a shot at the Hardys’ WWE Tag Team Championship…wait, Cody and Goldust lost tonight but get a shot at the Hardys on SmackDown? Would have been more appropriate as a non-title match, to be honest. Poor Titus O’Neil. I hope you have something in store for him. Antonio Cesaro needed this win to cement himself again as Mr Money in the Bank however, the question is when could he possibly win it, and how long for? I cannot see him as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, really. Wait, a rematch from Extreme Rules was booked? A title rematch was booked? A table rematch was booked? This should have been advertised in advance, I don’t recall reading about that earlier in the show. Roman Reigns was always going to beat Sheamus though and keep his United States Championship. It’s a nice bonus for the crowd, but it appeared spontaneous to me with little mention before it took place. Good promo from Triple H to send him off – it was long-winded for a goodbye, but that’s expected with Hunter. It capped off his rivalry with Dean Ambrose, and I’m excited to see what’s next when Ambrose returns, and when Triple H inevitable returns down the line. Maybe next time he can appear as a babyface, who knows. AJ Lee beating Cameron…ewwy. I suspect that an angle for the Divas Championship will be built up either on SmackDown or next week. Zero mention of Paige, I wonder what went on with her and Barrett after their losses last night. Good promo from Rusev and Lana – the black background pre-tape via TitanTron shtick didn’t help him though. He should have at least appeared on the rampway live and in the building. It summed up his career to this point, though. Let’s see where he goes next. Glad to see the emphasis still on being Bulgarian, though. A tournament to determine the Divas Championship? Normally I’d be a fan, as I really like tournaments, but you ran a contender’s tournament throughout April – it’s too much. Surely there could be another way to determine a top contender. Kane beating Luke Harper was a surprise to read – I guess it keeps him strong. I’m sure Harper will get more wins down the line anyway, for now as Kane can continue trying to pursue Bray Wyatt. Good heat on the Wyatt Family here. With Wyatt’s current momentum, all signs point to a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in sometime before the end of the year. More Seth Rollins and Mick Foley, that’s realistic, albeit a little overkill on Rollins’ two promos tonight. Rollins threatening Foley in order to blackmail Daniel Bryan was a really nice way of going about this, and it appears that Bryan will be defending against Rollins at Payback now. Overall, this was a pretty good fallout episode of RAW, setting some initial seeds for Payback next month. However I didn’t agree with a few of the decisions made whatsoever. I think the initial plan for Payback looks decent – but some of that decency was taken down a notch by the booking decisions made on this show. Hopefully it’s up from here.

I was gonna do a double reply but you decided to take forever to post Smackdown so you only get one. Interesting line up for tonight and I'm all for more Roman Reigns/Sheamus. Dolph Ziggler using John Cena's entrance theme lyrics against him was sweet. Honestly, I loved this opening promo. You made Ziggler into a tweener of sorts because half of the crowd is going to love it and half won't. I love tweeners. Obvious win for the Purge. Very reminiscent of the Shield though. Tyson Kidd vs. AJ Styles <3. Intrigued at Paige not being with the Commonwealth. I'm happy to see the Wade Barrett/AJ Styles program extended. AJ can do great things with the strap. Seth Rollins attacking Jerry Lawler is not only great because I love Seth and hate Jerry, but it's always a good way for a heel to get more heat. Cody Rhodes leaving Goldust is interesting. I hope you keep Cody relevant after this eventual feud. Also, I can't remember if you've done it before but Luke Harper and Erick Rowan vs. the Usos is always a fun program. I can see Antonio Cesaro cashing in at Payback, his time is running rather short. Roman Reigns retaining was the right move. I think that he could be a big reason why the United States Title gets some serious shine. Interesting to see Triple H and Stephanie McMahon taking a leave of absence. I was sure Dean Ambrose was going to get a win back. AJ Lee winning was there. Surprised to see no Paige interaction. Ah, Paige is taking time off. Tournaments are always awesome. Kane over Luke Harper is not something I'm a fan of. I guess the Bray Wyatt/Kane feud continues. Great closing segment to again make Seth look like a big threat. However, I'm unsure of what the plan is. Seth losing again may hurt him, but I feel that Antonio Cesaro needs to cash in soon and I assume that Bray is going to the title picture soon after ending the streak. Still, a good episode that has me looking forward to more.

MAY 8, 2014 FROM THE FIRST NIAGRA CENTER IN BUFFALO, NEW YORK
Footage from this past Monday on Raw is shown, where Seth Rollins would come down to the ring and Curb Stomp announcer Jerry 'The King' Lawler twice before coming down to the ring later in the night to interrupt Commissioner Mick Foley's announcement of the new number one contender, hitting him with a Curb Stomp as well in order to get himself an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Payback. The Smackdown intro video proceeds to air, the cameras coming in to the First Niagra Center from Buffalo, New York. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome everyone to the show where tonight, the WWE Tag Team Championships are on the line as The Rhodes Brothers challenge the reigning champions, The Hardy Boyz. Also, we will get an update on the condition of Jerry 'The King' Lawler as well as Commissioner Mick Foley after what happened at the hands of Seth Rollins this past Monday night.
Speaking of whom, Seth Rollins' theme music hits and the Buffalo crowd roars with boos as the new number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship marches his way out, arms spread and a cocky smile across his face. He makes his way down and in to the ring, looking all around the arena, taking in all the heat. "Oh, what's the matter guys? Are you all upset over the fact that I am the number one contender and not somebody else? Or are you just all upset because I caved Jerry 'The King' Lawler's head in to the mat!?" He snickers, saying maybe they're upset because he did that, but that he also smashed Mick Foley's head in too. The boos keep on coming and he continues to laugh, saying that they'll all get over it. "Rumor has it that Mick Foley might not be showing his face for quite some time and honestly I can't blame him! He tried to screw me over time and time again and it finally caught up to him and now I got what I want... what I deserve!" He stares out to the crowd before turning his attention over to ringside, leaning across the ropes with a smile. "Hey, Michael, hows it goin'?" He says, Cole putting his hands up and saying he doesn't want any trouble with Seth. Rollins quickly snaps back, telling him to shut his mouth before he makes him more angry than he already is with him. "Cole, I watched back over and over again what I did on Raw to Mick Foley and Jerry Lawler and I heard what you said... I heard you being upset with my actions so I want you to do me a favor, Michael. I want you to come in to this ring and say to my face exactly... what you think about me. Exactly... what you think about what I did to your friend! Your colleague!" He kneels down in to the middle rope, inviting Cole in. As he tries to refuse, Rollins warns him if he doesn't get in to the ring, he'll go over there and teach him a lesson! Finally, Cole removes his headset and stands up nervously, slowly making his way up the steps. He gets on to the apron, staring right in to the eyes of Rollins, whom just laughs in his face. Slowly, Cole steps between the ropes and backs his way in to the middle of the ring, Rollins stepping right up to him.
"So, Michael..." Rollins says, putting his hand on Cole's shoulder. "Explain to me exactly what your thoughts are on what I did to Jerry and Mick this past Monday. Let it all out! Say it to my face and let it all out and don't you worry, I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to hear it be said to my face." Cole is, as expected, hesitant as he pulls his microphone up, telling Seth that he really doesn't want any trouble. Rollins demands he say how he feels before he changes his mind and puts his face in to the mat. As boos fill up, Cole takes a deep breath. "Seth, what you did this past Monday was despicable..." He says, JBL groaning on commentary, exclaiming his broadcast partner shouldn't say anything stupid. "And while I respect your talents in this ring and I think you are a great WWE superstar, I feel that this past Monday you took things way too far in order to secure yourself an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Payback... and, I think what you did to Jerry Lawler, accusing him of being the reason you lost at Extreme Rules, was... to be quite honest and for lack of better word, pathetic." The Buffalo crowd cheers the honest words of Cole as Rollins pats him on the back, saying he appreciates him being honest and upfront with him. He grows a big smile across his face as he wraps his arm around Cole's shoulders. "But you should know, Michael, after what I did on Monday night... I'm a pretty big liar. Because, you see, I'm going to put your head through this mat anyway!" He proceeds to shove Cole on to the mat and seems prepared for the Curb Stomp, only for the theme music of Sheamus to hit! The 'Celtic Warrior' unexpectedly comes rushing down to the ring, hopping right up in front of Cole to bash Rollins with a polish hammer to the face! Seth quickly rolls out of the ring, stumbling his way up the ramp while clutching his nose. Sheamus storms around the ring, checking on Cole to make sure he is alright before looking back up at Rollins, pounding on his chest and spreading his arms. "I may not like Michael that much, but thank God somebody was here to stop this from happening again!" Shouts JBL.
Back from break, the announcement is made that later on tonight it will indeed be Seth Rollins versus Sheamus! The cameras come over to ringside, Michael Cole getting re-adjusted at commentary as Layfield ask if he is alright. Cole confirms that he is, so JBL gives him a rib. "Well, I know that the WWE Universe would love a one man broadcast of JBL, but I suppose I'm glad you're alright, Michael!" He says with a laugh, Cole thanking him half-heartedly before saying it is time to move on as we have ourselves a tag team title match to get to.
WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE HARDY BOYZ DEF. THE RHODES BROTHERS TO RETAIN » The bell rings, Jeff starting off with Goldust. The prior quickly gets the upper hand on the 'Bizarre One' and makes back and forth tags with Matt, the champions completely dominating. Goldust manages to drop Matt with a hard shot to the face and hits off the ropes, Rhodes tagging himself in! The Rhodes Brothers stare each other down as Cody gets in to the ring, whom starts a beat down on Matt. He stays relentless but as soon as the champions start to get momentum going again, he tags out to Goldust and rolls out of the ring. He starts to back up the ramp, Goldust asking what he is doing. "This is our chance, Cody!" He shouts, Matt spinning around the older brother and dropping him with the Twist of Fate! He makes a tag to Jeff and he climbs to the top rope, hitting the Swanton Bomb before getting the three count.
Jeff and Matt get back on to their feet, the referee handing over their WWE Tag Team Championship belts. Goldust, meanwhile, rolls out of the ring and collapses on to his hands and knees. Cody turns back from atop the stage and stares his brother down, shaking is head before making his way towards the back, Goldust left shaking his head in disappointment.
A promo video airs for the next WWE pay-per-view, Payback, coming in four weeks on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It features the official theme song "We Want It All" by Powerman 5000. WWE superstars constantly seek retribution, vengeance and now they will seek: Payback. Live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.
Returning backstage, Cody Rhodes is seen pacing back and forth backstage. Goldust comes storming up to him, spinning him around to face him - demanding what he is thinking. "What am I thinking!?" Cody shouts before laughing, patting his brother on the cheek. "What do you mean what am I thinking? I just did us a favor, brother! I just saved us from becoming the most dysfunctional tag team champions ever." Goldust squints his eyes, questioning what in the world Cody is talking about. Rhodes grasps him by the sides of his head and peers in to his eyes, telling him that he knows how to fix this and then they'll be ready to be champions. He heads off, leaving Goldust confused. Back inside the arena, Tyson Kidd is in the ring ready for action.
WADE BARRETT (W/THE COMMONWEALTH) DEF. TYSON KIDD (W/NATALYA) » The bell sounds and Barrett mocks Kidd's size before getting blasted with multiple kicks to the legs and sides. Tyson gets some quick momentum brewing, going very fast paced and getting multiple near falls on the former Intercontinental Champion. Barrett hits a big boot, however, and turns things in his favor. He gets some near falls of his own off some very hard slams and power moves. He hits a shot to the stomach and goes for the the Wasteland, only for Kidd to elbow his way free. He hits off the ropes but McIntyre grabs his foot! Kidd turns around, throwing his hands up in frustration. He turns right in to the Bullhammer Elbow! Barrett snickers and drops on to the mat, hooking both legs up for the one, two, three.
Barrett gets back on to his feet slowly with a grin across his face, The Commonwealth slowly entering the ring. Wade slowly kicks Kidd out of the ring as Rose hands him a microphone. "This past Sunday was a joke! Was a travesty! I should have walked out with the Intercontinental Championship still around my waist..." He scoffs, saying that AJ Styles is not a true champion, the true champion is the 'King' of The Commonwealth, Wade Barrett. "And this Monday night on Raw, I will officially claim back my title belt!" He drops the microphone to the mat, having announced he is invoking his rematch clause on Raw!
Backstage is United States Champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman walking through the halls. They will be addressing the WWE Universe after the break - next.
Roman Reigns' theme music hits upon the return, the crowd booing as he and Paul Heyman make their way out to the stage. They gaze across the arena before coming down and in to the ring, Heyman taking a microphone from ringside with a cocky smile across his face. "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate for your reigning, defending United States Champion... ROMAN! REIGNS!" He gestures his hand out to him, Reigns smiling and nodding while adjusting his title belt over his shoulder. "Back at WrestleMania, people watched as Roman Reigns faced CM Punk one on one and when Punk, by some miracle, managed to get the victory everybody thought that Roman Reigns was a fluke and you know what I did? What we did? We came out the next night and shut everyone up because I worked my magic as the greatest and most influential voice in the WWE and got Roman Reigns a title match for the United States Championship and ladies and gentlemen, my client did not disappoint when he beat Sheamus one, two, three in the middle of that ring." The boos keep coming down as Heyman reminds everyone that he brought Reigns to the WWE the night after WrestleMania 29 and he dropped John Cena, the biggest name in the company. Since then, Reigns has been on a roll win or lose, it hasn't mattered. "Now he stands here before you as the United States Champion. People thought he couldn't beat Sheamus this past Sunday in a tables match, so after he did he did it again this past Monday! Sure, you can all say how Roman hasn't become a fast rising world champion like the likes of Brock Lesnar but keep in mind that there is nobody like Brock Lesnar..." He gets an odd look from Reigns but Heyman re-assures him that he is the closest thing to Brock Lesnar there has ever been and not to be discouraged by those words, because he is just beginning his climb to the top. "This is a different era, a different age and ladies and gentlemen to prove to you all that Roman Reigns truly is the future of the WWE at the craftsmanship of Paul Heyman, we are issuing an open challenge here tonight... any man in the back who thinks he is man enough to beat Roman Reigns, we dare you to come to this ring and try and take this United States Championship away from him but before you do so... spoiler alert: You won't beat Roman Reigns." With a laugh, Heyman pulls his microphone back, patting Reigns on the shoulder. They wait a few moments before 'FEED ME!' is heard.
Ryback struts his way out from the back to a solid pop from the crowd, marching his way down the ramp and in to the ring - staring down the two. He holds a microphone of his own, staring right at Heyman first. "Hey Paul! Remember back in November it was 'The Big Guy' taking on Brock Lesnar?" He chuckles, claiming that he pushed him to the brink and almost took away the world title from him. Heyman chuckles right back and says that is funny, because after Brock 'beat his ass' at Survivor Series, Ryback was left doing hardly a damn thing, getting injured and resorting to facing a 'pansy hiding behind a woman' on the Extreme Rules Kickoff Show. Ryback starts to step forward towards Heyman but Reigns steps in front of him, bucking his chest up. Ryback laughs, saying that was smart by Roman but stupid by Heyman. "You know, Roman, I've been around for a couple of years now and I know what it takes to be to the top and crash back down, I'll admit it. But the 'Big Guy' is hungry! The 'Big Guy' is hungry to get back to the top and it is going to start by taking your United States Championship here tonight!" He starts up a feed me more chant, Reigns laughing as he takes the microphone away from Heyman slowly. He raises his eyebrows at Ryback, asking if he is serious. "If you think for one second... you're going to be able to beat me... you're damn sure mistaken, boy. I'll feed you something... I'll feed you my fist right down your throat. Believe that." He drops the mike to the mat, Ryback laughing in response and looking out to the crowd. He makes a quick turn and blasts Reigns with a shot to the face! He hits a couple of more, the United States Champion dropping to the mat and rolling out of the ring to regroup, Heyman trying to keep him calm for the time being.
UNITED STATES CHAMPION ROMAN REIGNS (W/PAUL HEYMAN) DEF. RYBACK TO RETAIN » The bell sounds, the two big men exchanging heavy hitting shots early. Ryback gets a bit of momentum going and Reigns comes right back, hitting a heavy leaping clothesline that rattles the 'Big Guy'. He sets up for the Superman Punch early, Ryback managing to avoid it, hit off the ropes and return with a big shoulder to the chest. He sends Reigns to the mat a few times, getting fired up. He hits a big kick to the gut and clubs Reigns across the back repeatedly, setting up for Shell Shocked. He fails to get Reigns up, however, and gets dropped with the spear! Roman hooks both legs up, Ryback managing to kick out just in time. Reigns gets frustrated and beats Ryback down on the mat and in the corner. He misses a splash in the corner and Ryback comes right back. As he sets up for the Meat Hook Clothesline, however, Heyman grabs him by the leg. He hugs hold of it tight and Ryback manages to pull away eventually, aggravated. He leans over the ropes and reaches at Heyman a bit, calling him 'stupid'. He turns around slowly and Reigns comes rushing and leaping forward with the Superman Punch! He hooks both legs up for the one, two, three.
Reigns slowly stirs on to his feet and lets out a roar, Heyman stepping back in to the ring with the United States Championship. He shows a big smile as he hands the belt over to Reigns, whom raises it up over his head. "Nobody! Nobody! can beat my client!" Shouts Heyman, applauding him some more as Roman throws the title over his shoulder.
Back from the break, the commentary team goes back to what happened earlier on tonight where Seth Rollins threatened to lay out Michael Cole like he did Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Commissioner Mick Foley on Raw, only for Sheamus to make the save. Later on tonight, it will indeed be Sheamus versus Seth Rollins. "Now, I was fortunate enough to have somebody stop Seth tonight." Says Cole, with a gulp. "However, this past Monday on Raw there wasn't anybody to save King and Mick, even though Bryan Danielson did try to prevent the second assault." He goes further to explain that both men suffered severe concussions, doctors presume Foley's to be even worse, even though Lawler took two Curb Stomps, as it seems to have been something to do with Foley's extensive history of head injuries. "I think Seth Rollins has all the talent in the world, but he stooped pretty low to get himself a title shot, Michael." Adds in JBL.
Backstage is Tamina Snuka and in to the room walks Derrick Bateman, with a disgruntled look across his face. She asks what his deal is and Bateman just crosses his arms with a scoff. "What is my deal? I had to face a neanderthal on the Extreme Rules Kickoff and I was bullied! Bullied, Tamina! You're supposed to be my bodyguard!" She tries to explain that she is doing her job and Bateman rolls his eyes, saying 'whatever' before asking what they should do next to get things back on track. "I don't know about you, Derrick. But I'm going for the Diva's Championship." He laughs in response before realizing she is serious, Snuka raising her eyebrows. He says that he was talking about himself and she just shrugs her shoulders, saying that maybe he can be the bodyguard now. She heads out of the room, leaving Bateman throwing his hands up and saying that isn't what he does! He wins matches!
KANE DEF. DERRICK BATEMAN (W/TAMINA SNUKA) » As the bell rings, Bateman shouts at Tamina that this is 'how I get it done'. He turns around to a huge boot from Kane to the face and he gets absolutely decimated for two minutes straight, Kane refusing to let up on him. He hits a series of slams and hits a top rope clothesline. Bateman tries to crawl to the ropes, but Kane comes up behind him and takes him by the hair, dragging him on to his feet and clasping the throat. He raises him up high and delivers the Chokeslam, hooking both legs for the three.
The crowd cheers the result as Kane slowly gets back on to his feet, yelling for a microphone from ringside. He breaths heavily in to it as he steps back in to the middle of the ring. "Bray Wyatt... I'm not done with you... you hunted me down... you took the urn of Paul Bearer... you ended my brother's streak... and you continue to haunt me." He lets out a laugh and says that the haunting to him, however, is over and it is time for him to wait in the wings of Wyatt's nightmares. He drops the mike to the mat and raises his arms over his head, bringing them down and setting off a pyro at the corners. "Kane definitely has unfinished business with Bray Wyatt and I don't know if Wyatt wants to continue this rivalry." Says Cole.
Backstage is Renee Young and she introduces her guest at this time to be 'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus. She thanks him for taking time with the interview and asks what made him go and make the save for Michael Cole earlier on tonight and stand up to Seth Rollins. "Y'know, I saw what Seth did this past Monday on Raw... and it made me sick to my stomach. I've been having a tough time since WrestleMania and, well, I might as well take my aggression out on a scumbag like that fella, Seth Rollins. So tonight, I'm gonna teach him a lesson in respect in the form of a brogue... brogue... brogue." He pounds his chest and heads off, the main event next.
SETH ROLLINS DEF. SHEAMUS » The bell rings and the two men lock up with each other, Sheamus slamming Rollins to the mat over and over. He loses momentum quickly after Rollins rakes the eyes, Seth getting multiple near falls even with cheap tactics. He misses a superkick and gets planted with the Celtic Cross! Sheamus hooks both legs up but Rollins manages to kick out, rolling out of the ring immediately afterward before Sheamus can do more damage. Following a commercial break, Rollins gains control back and sets up for the Curb Stomp after a top rope knee to the face. He misses, however, allowing the 'Celtic Warrior' to hit a big polish hammer to the face! Seth flails on the mat and Sheamus begins an aggressive beat down, not even going for the pin. After the Irish Curse backbreaker, he backs to the corner for the Brogue Kick but ends up missing it. Rollins scrambles to the opposing corner and drops in to it, slowly undoing the padding. He turns around to Sheamus storming at him and trips him face first in to it! The crowd boos as Rollins goes for the roll up with the tights, Sheamus kicking out just in time. Before he can get back on to his feet, however, Rollins drops him with an absolutely brutal Curb Stomp! He hooks both legs up for the pinfall.
The WWE Universe shows their displeasure as Rollins gets back on to his feet with a cocky smile. As he is celebrating the victory, the commentary team goes over the replay. After which, Rollins steps out of the ring and walks over to the announce table. He stare Cole down before warning him, shoving the time keeper away before taking the steel chair from him. He goes in to the ring and lays it down on to the mat, dragging Sheamus' head across it. The crowd continues to boo as Rollins stands over Sheamus with a grin. As he seems prepared to hit the Curb Stomp again, however, Bryan Danielson's theme music hits and the Buffalo fans roar! Rollins turns to face the ramp and keeps his foot on top of the head of Sheamus, motioning for Danielson to come on down. After nothing from the Undisputed WWE Champion, however, Rollins pulls his boot away and chuckles. He backs up slowly but starts to notice the crowd cheering, Bryan Danielson standing behind him in the ring! Rollins spins around and gets smacked right in the face with the Undisputed WWE Championship belt! The fans pop once again as Seth rolls out of the ring, crawling his way to the bottom of the ramp in pain. Danielson storms up to the ropes and place one foot on the middle one, raising his title up to Rollins before starting up the 'Yes!' chants. The number one contender staggers on to his feet and backs up the ramp, stumbling. Danielson, meanwhile, helps Sheamus back up and the 'Celtic Warrior' pats him on the back before assisting in the 'Yes!' chants, pointing to Danielson as the champion as Rollins glares in anger! Thursday Night Smackdown comes to an end.

- Seth Rollins starting off the show starting off Smackdown, makes sense considering he is your top heel the most over heel in the company the #1 heel in WWE at the moment considering what he did to Lawler giving him 2 Curb Stomps and then giving Foley one on top of it stooping that low just to get an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Payback, and he is actually bragging about what he did, but then he sets his sights on Michael Cole trying to do the same thing to him that he did to Lawler and Foley but thank God Sheamus made the save, out of anyone else I didn't expect Sheamus to make the save for Cole and especially on Rollins like what business does Sheamus have getting in Rollins' face? Either way it sets up tonight's main event of Sheamus vs Rollins so I am looking forward to it but I wonder if Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson will show up during the main event?
- The Hardy Boyz retaining their WWE Tag Team Championships beating Goldust and Cody Rhodes the Rhodes Brothers, I expected this would be the case especially with Cody walking out on his brother Goldust yet again leaving him to get beaten down, but I wonder if this is the beginning of the end of the Rhodes Brothers? I mean it is only appropriate now and I can definitely see this leading to Cody Rhodes turning heel on his brother Goldust I mean like come on
- Backstage moment with Goldust stopping Cody backstage and Cody acting even stranger than usual saying he knows how to fix this and that when the time comes they will be champions, this is the beginning of Cody's transformation into Stardust I just know it? Cody Rhodes becoming Stardust, perhaps this will be a resurrection of the Rhodes Brothers with Cody becoming Stardust and them going on a winning streak
- Wade Barrett beating Tyson Kidd all be it with help from The Commonwealth, let's be honest and call it for what it is, Barrett he cannot win a match especially if McIntyre, Sandow, Rose, and or Regal are not helping him I mean he always has his cronies with him and whenever he does he wins matches but on his own he simply just can't get the job done...just goes to show you that Barrett without The Commonwealth he's nothing let's face it, The Commonwealth don't need Wade Barrett he needs them but if they hadn't gotten involved Tyson Kidd probably would have won this match but never the less I digress Barrett sending a message to the WWE Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles that he is invoking his rematch clause next week on RAW, I figured Barrett would have done it at WWE Payback but still to do it on RAW next week I wonder if The Commonwealth will get involved?
- WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns with his advocate Paul Heyman I did notice a little bit of tension between these 2 especially when Heyman said that Reigns was not on Lesnar's level and Reigns getting offended, I wonder if that will be the beginning of the end? As far as Reigns' partnership with Heyman I mean Heyman in a sense he just said Reigns is not as good as his #1 client The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar but that he was as close to Brock Lesnar, I wonder if that will start to play into the mind of Roman Reigns? Considering he is already the WWE United States Champion but also ever since he burst on to the scene a year ago he has taken on names such as John Cena and beating other former WWE/World Champions and ever since then win lose or draw he has been on a roll on a tear and a year later even though he did lose to Punk at WrestleMania 30 the next night on RAW he became the WWE United States Champion beating Sheamus a year later after debuting and then beats Sheamus not once but twice in Tables Matches and I would say Reigns even though he is not as fast of a rising superstar as Brock was when Brock first burst on to the scene Roman Reigns has made quite the impact since debuting a year ago and not to mention with Heyman as his advocate I would say Reigns has become even more of a star and just when they are about to issue an open challenge Ryback answers it, this has to be a joke right?
- Ryback even though he did face Brock Lesnar back at Survivor Series here in your diary and that match was for the then World Heavyweight Championship before the titles were unified, what has Ryback done since then? He hasn't done much of anything and now he wants to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE United States Championship, this should only end in 1 way, Reigns beating Ryback
- I was right, Reigns beats Ryback to retain the WWE United States Championship, this just proves that not only has Ryback fallen hard since his return but also it proves that no one can beat Roman Reigns for that WWE United States Championship and to think whoever challenges this man he always keeps finding a way to turn back the challenge of whoever comes up against him so I wonder who will try to challenge Reigns next for the WWE United States Championship?
- No Bateman he is just a joke a colossal waste of space nothing more than a colossal joke at that, he doesn't win matches he just uses a woman to do his dirty work and hide behind, Bateman is really just pathetic and the best thing Tamina could do for herself would be to walk away from Bateman because all he is going to do is just drag her down while she actually has a chance to become WWE Divas Champion, Bateman I feel he can never ever be taken seriously
- Another Bateman beatdown, this time courtesy of Kane, Kane destroying Derrick Bateman, clear message sent to Bray Wyatt, what would have been even more appropriate would have been Kane giving Bateman not one not two but 3 Chokeslams and then bringing the steel steps into the ring and hitting Bateman with it and then afterwards grabbing his lifeless body and picking him up to give him a Tombstone Piledriver on the steel steps right in the middle of the ring, now that would be the least of what Bateman deserves for being such a joke but Kane beating him I just love it, but Kane not being done with Bray Wyatt makes sense given everything Wyatt has done to him but I wonder if Wyatt will even want to accept Kane's challenge? I wonder if their rivalry will even continue? Because if it does then I can see these 2 going at it at WWE Payback but in what kind of a match though? An Inferno Match perhaps? Considering Bray Wyatt he has been in an Inferno Match once in this diary and that was at SummerSlam 2013 last year when he beat Jeff Hardy but the Inferno Match is Kane's specialty though, in Kane's own environment
- And in the main event on Smackdown, Seth Rollins beating Sheamus, Rollins continues to be on a roll winning match after match but also considering what he's done to Foley and Lawler on RAW and then what he did to Sheamus here on Smackdown beating Sheamus I wonder if we could be looking at the next Undisputed WWE Champion? Rollins about to Curb Stomp Sheamus about to cave Sheamus' head in by giving him a Curb Stomp with Sheamus' head on a steel chair, and Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson with the save making the save for Sheamus helping Sheamus up like that post-match I loved it but I wonder if Danielson will have any matches between now and Payback? I can see Danielson having a match this Monday on RAW but who will he face though?

SmackDown is poo. Now, a nice way to get the show rolling with Seth Rollins, but I do feel like these attempted attacks are getting all too popular in diaries. It's as if his only appeal is the Curb Stomp. Anyway, Sheamus making the save obviously sets up our main event. Nice to see the Hardy Boys retain, although I hope their reign comes to an end the next time they defend. I sense the arrival of Stardust. A victory for Barrett was necessary after coming up short against AJ Styles and looking fairly weak. But I don't see him reclaiming the title anytime soon. Another title match? Is this a special show? Either way, it was obvious that Roman was going to retain here, although I hope you have plans for Ryback. Obvious victory for Kane and continuing the rivalry with Wyatt is all well and good. I'm just worried that you might actually have Kane get his redemption victory which would completely kill Wyatt's momentum coming off the biggest victory in the last decade. Pleased to see Seth Rolllins get the victory here and of course Bryan Danielson makes an appear ends. I can't see Rollins taking the title at Payback.

MAY 12, 2014 FROM THE BON SECOURS WELLNESS ARENA IN GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA
The Monday Night Raw intro airs and the cameras come in to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena from Greenville, North Carolina. Michael Cole and John 'Bradshaw' Layfield welcome everybody to the show, noting how Jerry 'The King' Lawler is not with them after the assault at the hands of Seth Rollins last week. Tonight, we will be hearing from Rollins himself. Also, we will see Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson in action against the 'Celtic Warrior' Sheamus. Plus, Kane goes one on one with Erick Rowan and The Purge will be in the building!
The theme music of Seth Rollins hits, the WWE Universe booing as the new number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship proceeds to make his way out from the back slowly, a big smile across his face. He struts his way down the ramp and in to the ring, demanding a microphone from ringside. "Well, well, well... Damn, Greenville, you certainly have a lot of hate and discontent bottled up inside of you that you're throwing at me." He snickers as the boos continue to rain down on him. He throws his hands up and says that they can keep on giving him their hate, but unlike all of them he puts his hate in to action and he did it last week to Mick Foley and Jerry 'The King' Lawler. "And at Payback I plan on doing the exact same thing to Bryan Danielson and winning the Undisputed WWE Championship..." He continues to laugh, gesturing his hand up the stage and saying that now Mick Foley is missing in action and the board of directors have taken control. He then motions his hand towards the announce table and says that now Jerry 'The King' Lawler is gone and now, somebody has to take his spot. "Michael Cole... last week on Smackdown you got lucky. You got lucky that... stupid, red-headed barbarian named Sheamus saved you or you would have ended up just like your buddy Jerry Lawler... as for Jerry Lawler's spot on commentary... I'll be taking over those duties here tonight, Michael." He drops his microphone and gives a laugh, stepping out of the ring and strutting his way over to the desk, taking a seat next to JBL. "What a treat, Michael!" Says Layfield, even shaking Rollins' hand - telling Cole to forgive and forget!
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. WADE BARRETT VIA DISQUALIFICATION (W/THE COMMONWEALTH) TO RETAIN » The match begins with Styles completely rattling Barrett and sending him out of the ring with a big dropkick, followed by a commercial break as Wade tries to regroup. Back from the break, Rollins states on commentary that he is the only reason the Intercontinental Championship is taken seriously again and Barrett can thank him for letting him take it away from him. In the ring, Barrett hits a forearm to the throat of Styles and begins an aggressive beat down, getting a couple of near falls. He goes for the Bullhammer Elbow but Styles manages to duck away from it and deliver a Pele Kick! He gets back up and and begins to unleash shots to the face and sets up for the Styles Clash, only for The Commonwealth to rush in to the ring - Sandow clobbering the champion across the back!
As soon as Styles gets on to his feet, Rose hits the ring and he blasts him with a kick to send him through the ropes again. Regal hits the ring as well but gets chucked right out of the ring. Styles is then blindsided with the Bullhammer Elbow! Barrett laughs and stomps away at Styles repeatedly, snatching the Intercontinental Championship from the mat. He slowly raises it over his head before dropping it across the chest of Styles and backing away.
Coming up next, The Purge - Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe - will speak.
The titantron fuzzes up and flickers multiple colors upon the return before the theme music of The Purge hits, Kevin Owens making his way out to the stage. He stares down to the ring with a snarl and out from different sides of the arena in the crowd comes Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe. All three men enter the ring at the same time and stand in the middle of the ring, staring out to the crowd. Owens holds a microphone in his hand, breathing heavily before bringing the mike up slowly. "Since the night after WrestleMania you have all witnessed the destruction at the hands of myself, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe... destruction at the hands of The Purge..." He continues on, saying that he has been a man on a mission since his first day in this industry and he is finally putting things in to motion and he is doing that alongside his brothers, his best friends - his only friends, Zayn and Crowe. "Every single man, woman or hell I don't even care if it is a child that stands in our way of getting to the top of this business, they will be cleansed and cleared from the pathway for us! Anybody that thinks... they can stop us... I've got some pretty unfortunate news for you... that ain't gonna happen because we are the most unstoppable force to hit the WWE... ever." He stares out to the crowd once again, receiving a mixed reception from the South Carolina fans.
Suddenly, the lights dim down and the titantron reveals coding. It breaks down and shows 'Y2J', the crowd popping as Chris Jericho appears atop the stage with his back turned and arms spread out. He spins around and pumps his fists, staring down to the ring with a grin across his face, a microphone in his hand. He glares down at the ring, The Purge just staring right back. "You say that nobody can stop you, but unlike everyone else that you've taken down before me, I've come right back and I've come back here tonight because at Payback... Kevin Owens, you're mine and I promise you will never... EVVVVVERRR! BE THE SAME!" He stops himself and gives a big grin. "Again." He drops the mike and makes his way towards the back as Owens laughs in response to the announcement as he will be facing Chris Jericho in three weeks!
Back from the break, we are at ringside where Michael Cole notes how Cody Rhodes and Goldust, The Rhodes Brothers, have been having their problems getting along and they have agreed to take part in 'sibling therapy'. They cut to footage of the two sitting on a couch across a table from a doctor, Goldust in his full gear while Cody wears dress clothing. He runs his hand across his face as the therapist rambles on, explaining how brothers are meant to work together. "Look, Doc, can I say something?" Asks Rhodes, cutting him off. "Don't you think that it is a little weird that he is sitting here wearing his full wrestling gear and I'm dressed like a civil human being?" The therapist puts his hands up and says that he thinks that Goldust should express himself any way he likes and he has no problem with it. Rhodes squints his eyes and says this was his idea because he wants his brother to understand he knows what is best for them but he can't take him seriously wearing the outfit! The therapist shrugs his shoulders and says that he thinks that it is a little weird that Cody isn't wearing his wrestling gear if this is about them getting back on track in the ring. Goldust shrugs his shoulders as well, suggesting that Cody go and get changed and this might go smoother. Rhodes can't believe his ears!
Back in the arena, Tamina Snuka and Derrick Bateman make their way down to the ring with Layla standing in the corner waiting, Bateman wielding a microphone and shaking his head. "Well, tonight, I guess I'm going to be doing what I'm second best at... just standing in front of all of you! The first, of course, being a professional wrestler and sports entertainer!" He looks to Tamina, whom slowly takes the microphone away from him and points to the corner. He tries to say something but she just shakes her head, Bateman slowly stepping to the outside.
TAMINA SNUKA (W/DERRICK BATEMAN) DEF. LAYLA IN THE DIVA'S CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS TOURNAMENT » The match starts and the two lock up, Tamina chucking Layla down to the mat and locks in a chinlock, following up with a couple of headbutts. She has to have the referee hold her back at the count of four in the corner, allowing Layla to leap forward and hit a hard shot to the face! She begins to mount a comeback and gets Tamina to the mat multiple times for a couple of near falls. She misses a spinning elbow in the corner and Tamina blasts her with a hard superkick! Layla bounces off the corner and comes back to a Samoan drop! Snuka gets back on to her feet quickly and slowly moves over to the ropes, stepping out and climbing to the top rope before hitting the Superfly Splash! Layla is motionless as Snuka hooks the outside leg for the three count.
Tamina rises back on to her feet and in to the ring, with his eyes rolled, follows Bateman. He raises her arm up but she pulls away, staring him down. "What!? I'm just raising your arm!" He shouts, Snuka brushing shoulders with him before exiting the ring. Cole notes on commentary that Tamina will face the winner of Naomi and Natalya later on next week on Raw to determine the number one contender for AJ Lee's Diva's Championship.
Backstage is United States Champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman talking with one another, as they will be coming out following the break to speak to the WWE Universe. Also still to come, Bryan Danielson faces Sheamus in a non-title match and Kane takes on Erick Rowan!
Back from the break, Roman Reigns' theme music hits and he marches his way out along with Paul Heyman. The two of them share a smile and strut down and in to the ring, Heyman taking a microphone and looking out to the Greenville crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman and standing next to me is the reigning, defending United States Champion and my client... ROMAN! REIGNS!" He gestures to him before going on to explain how his client has been running roughshod over the WWE since he debuted taking down John Cena and refuses to stop. "Eight nights ago, Roman Reigns successfully defended the United States Championship in a tables match against the man that, for whatever reason, gets to face the Undisputed WWE Champion later on tonight - Sheamus. The night after? The exact same thing! Even further raising the question as to why Roman Reigns isn't getting that opportunity... and last week on Smackdown Roman Reigns proved yet again why he is a legitimate champion because he called out anybody to stop him and when that big, stupid moron named Ryback stepped forward... Roman Reigns did what Roman Reigns does and put him in his place and ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, he plans on doing the same thing tonight because it is once again an open challenge! Anybody that wants a shot at this United States Championship come on down and try and embarrass yourself at the hands of my client... RRRROMAN! RRREIGNS!" He hands the mike over to Reigns, whom - in cocky fashion - shrugs his shoulders. "If there is anyone who thinks they stand a chance against me, you're damn sure mistaken. But if you want to come on out here and take a swing... go right ahead. I'm waiting and I'm waiting to beat you like I've beaten all comers... believe that." He chucks the microphone over his shoulder and paces back and forth across the ring, waiting. The WWE Universe explodes as the theme music of Dean Ambrose hits! The 'Lunatic Fringe' makes his way out to the stage!
"Dean Ambrose didn't even dare to show his face last week and now he wants to come out and get himself a shot at the United States Championship? What a joke!" Shouts Seth Rollins from commentary, JBL in agreement. Ambrose stomps his way in to the ring with a smile, a microphone of his own in his hands. He looks up and down at Reigns and Heyman before finally speaking. "Y'know, boys, I've been having one hell of a year... I was part of the final four in the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row, I was put in a straight jacket against the 'World's Strongest Man', I faced Triple H at WrestleMania and I faced him again inside of a steel cage and even though I came up short at Extreme Rules I pushed him so far he had to go home with his tail tucked between his legs but not me! Not Dean Ambrose!" He gets some cheers from the crowd as he runs his index finger down the United States Championship on Reigns' shoulder. "You know, at WrestleMania 29 I won this bad boy... and I think I want it back." He lets out a chuckle and says that Reigns was the first guy he went after following Survivor Series and Reigns beat him, so that's even more incentive now that the belt sits on his shoulder. "So, I'm gonna accept your open challenge, Roman... and spoiler alert... I'm going to win the United States Championship!" He swings his microphone and hits Reigns right over the head! The South Carolina crowd pops as Reigns drops to the mat, rolling out of the ring - Heyman quickly following to get him composed before getting back in the ring, as we have the United States Championship on the line once again! Roman Reigns defends against Dean Ambrose!
DEAN AMBROSE DEF. ROMAN REIGNS (W/PAUL HEYMAN) TO WIN THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP » The match is underway upon the return with Reigns in total control of Ambrose, keeping him grounded and up in the corner. He misses a corner splash and Ambrose rolls him up, getting a two count. He begins an aggressive beat down on Reigns and refuses to let up aside from four counts from the referee. He goes to the top rope and leaps off for a crossboy, only to be caught and hit with a huge fallaway slam! Reigns gets a near fall of his own and gets frustrated. He chucks Ambrose around a bit and ends up planting him with the spear! He hooks both legs up but to the surprise of nearly everyone, Ambrose finds a way to kick out! Reigns slams his hands off the mat and goes for the pin two more times, getting two counts both times. He rolls out of the ring and gets very aggravated, regrouping with Heyman. He storms over to the timekeeper and shoves him aside, taking the chair and folding it up. He comes back in to the ring and swings the chair at Ambrose as he gets up, only to miss - hit the ropes and have it come back and hit him in the face! Reigns drops the chair and Ambrose catches him on the turnaround with a kick to the gut, followed by Dirty Deeds! The WWE Universe goes wild as he hooks both legs up for the one, two, three!
"We've got a new United States Champion! New United States Champion!" Exclaims Cole as Ambrose pops back up on to his feet, his eyes widened with a smile. The referee hands over the belt as Heyman screams from the outside that it wasn't a three count! Ambrose holds the title up high before leaning between the ropes, shoving the title in the face of Heyman with a laugh. "It's mine now, Pauly! It's all mine!" He backs to the other side of the ring, dropping to the ropes and rolling out of the ring. He slowly heads up the ramp as Reigns remains down in anger, Heyman getting in to the ring with his hands over his head, staring up at Ambrose as his client has been blindsided by the 'Lunatic Fringe' Dean Ambrose here tonight and lost his belt.
Returning, the WWE Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz are backstage when they are approached by R-Truth and Bo Dallas, the latter saying that they should be the tag team champions and The Hardy Boyz should be 'Bo-lievers' in that. Jeff and Matt laugh in response. "You serious?" Questions Matt, saying that they are one of the greatest tag teams of all time and that isn't an opinion, that's just facts. Truth steps forward and says that Dallas may be a cook but he agrees with him and so does 'Lil Jimmy'. They challenge Matt and Jeff to a match on Smackdown, to which The Hardy Boyz accept with a laugh before heading off.
RUSEV (W/LANA) DEF. KOFI KINGSTON » The bell rings and Kingston puts up a good fight to start, only for Rusev to mash him to the mat with a huge kick to the throat. He completely runs through the high flying superstar but gets hit with a springboard forearm to the face, Kingston following up with a series of kicks before going for the Trouble in Paradise, Rusev managing to catch him by the leg and toss him in to the corner aggressively! The 'Bulgarian Brute' lets Kofi crawl to the middle of the ring before stomping on the lower back and applying the Accolade! He wrenches away at it vigorously, Kingston not taking long before tapping out to the hold.
Rusev keeps the hold locked in, refusing to let go despite the pleas of the official. Lana slowly comes in to the ring and stands next to him, the referee trying to get her to break it. She just smiles to the crowd, however, letting Rusev go another fifteen seconds with the hold before telling him to unleash it. He does so and stands up tall, breathing intensely. Lana holds his arm up and he pounds on his chest repeatedly, the Russian flag coming down from above the ring. He looks all around the arena as the boos rain down, a 'U-S-A' chant coming in response. "I don't necessarily like his choice of country, but I'd take this guy on my side any day." Says Rollins, Cole trying to respond only to be told to shut up by both Rollins and JBL!
Coming up next it will be Kane versus Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family! Also, still to come later on, it is Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson versus his friend, Sheamus.
KANE DEF. ERICK ROWAN (W/BRAY WYATT AND LUKE HARPER) » The match begins with Wyatt standing from his rocking chair and spreading his arms out, distracting Kane and allowing Rowan to splash him in the corner. The sheep-mask wearing member of The Wyatt Family dominates early but Kane comes back with a vicious flurry of punches and uppercuts. He goes for the chokeslam but Rowan pushes away, only to be hit with a big boot. Rowan rolls out of the ring to regroup and a commercial break follows, Kane still in control afterward. He misses a running big boot in the corner, however, allowing Rowan to get back in to it. He hits a surprising spinning kick to the face and goes for the pin, getting a two count. He begins a slow, methodical beat down and tries to speed things up with a big splash on the mat, only for Kane to avoid it. The 'Big Red Monster' goes to the top rope and waits for Rowan to stagger back up before dropping him with a big clothesline! He rises back to his feet and raises his hand up high, catching Erick by the throat and dropping him with a chokeslam! Kane covers him for the three.
As the crowd begins to cheer, Harper rolls in to the ring but Kane manages to get up in time to clothesline him over the ropes. Wyatt stands up and widens his eyes towards his rival, Kane backing to the other side of the ring and demanding a microphone. He is given it and he storms back forward, glaring at all three members of The Wyatt Family as they huddle together. "Bray... we aren't even close to being finished..." He says between heavy breaths. "I want a rematch... and I want it at Payback..." He wipes away at his face beneath his mask, Wyatt laughing and shouting he accepts, only for Kane to tell him he doesn't just want an ordinary rematch. "I want this to be a Last... Man... Standing... match!" Shouts the 'Demon', whom slams his microphone to the mat and raises his hands up over his head, bringing them down and setting off a big pyro at the corners of the ring. Wyatt continues to laugh in response, dropping on to both knees and saying that he accepts repeatedly!
The cameras slowly transition backstage to show Dolph Ziggler walking through the halls with a grin as he will be speaking on John Cena following the break!
Back from the break, the announcement is made by Michael Cole that at Payback it is official: Kane will indeed face Bray Wyatt in a Last Man Standing match!
'Here to Show the World' hits and out from the back comes Dolph Ziggler to a very loud, mixed reaction. He stares all around the arena and struts his stuff before coming down to the ring, snatching a microphone and patting his hand over it with a smile across his face. "At Extreme Rules I shocked the world when I cost John Cena the Undisputed WWE Championship in our fatal four way match. I shocked the world when I told him last week to his face that I was sick and tired of him getting his way every damn time while guys like myself have to scratch and claw for everything!" He keeps part of the crowd behind him as he says that ever since he lost the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29 he has been undervalued, disrespected and has had a bad taste in his mouth that he has wanted to spit out and he has finally found the perfect place to spit it: In the face of John Cena. A big 'ooh' comes from the crowd for the strong words, Ziggler smiling in response. "You see, John, I don't just want to have you stop getting your way, I want to be responsible for you not getting your way anymore because I want to be able to say I beat John Cena one on one and if he gets handed another opportunity he doesn't deserve then I'll have good enough reason to get that opportunity pried away from you..." He stares deep in to the camera and prepares to say more, but stops as John Cena's music hits to an equally loud mixed response from the WWE Universe.
Unlike Ziggler a week ago, Cena doesn't stay atop the stage but instead comes straight down in to the ring and stares Dolph down. "You got a bad taste in your mouth, Dolph?" He asks, getting right up close with him. "You want to spit it in my face? Go right ahead! Go right ahead! I DARE YOU TO DO IT, DOLPH! COME ON, TOUGH GUY!" He puts his arms out and waits, Ziggler laughing in response before backing up, putting his hand out and saying that Cena isn't good enough to have the spit of Dolph Ziggler on his face. Cena smiles in response, pulling his microphone back up slowly. "I used to like you, Dolph. I think you're one hell of a talent and you seemed like a pretty good dude but now I know... all you are is a selfish, cocky brat that needs to be put in his place. You think I've been handed my opportunities? Nah, jack, you just haven't earned yours so take a look in the mirror and check yourself! You want me one on one? You want an opportunity to knock me off!? I'll give it to you in three weeks at Payback! Hows that sound!?" The fans approve of the idea, Ziggler leaning back against the ropes and raising his eyebrows. He asks if Cena is done saying the same thing he says every week before he answers, to which John just stares back. "Every one has heard it over and over again for the past twelve years, John. You come out here talking about how you've worked your ass off week in and week out! Day after day! But the truth is you could miss two years of action, walk back in here and push guys like me down the ladder because you think you're entitled... but the only thing you're entitled to, in my view John, is going back home to your friends and family with your plastic girlfriend and telling them that Dolph Ziggler is a better man!" Cena quickly responds with a punch to the face, leveling Ziggler a couple more times until he escapes out of the ring, the 'Show Off' chuckling at the attack. "You're on, Cena! You're on!" He shouts back, Cena leaning across the ropes and staring him down as his music hits, as it appears we have yet another big match set for Payback on June 1st from the Allstate Arena!
A promo video airs for the next WWE pay-per-view, Payback, coming in three weeks on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It features the official theme song "We Want It All" by Powerman 5000. WWE superstars constantly seek retribution, vengeance and now they will seek: Payback. Live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.
NAOMI DEF. NATALYA IN THE DIVA'S CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS TOURNAMENT » The bell rings, the two rather powerful women locking up with each other and going back and forth early with their strength. Natalya goes for the sharpshooter early but Naomi manages to roll through, get to her feet and hit a hard kick to the chest, leading to a two count. She drags Natalya back up and hits a scoop slam, resulting in another two count. The match sways in favor of Natalya next, whom drops Naomi down in to the sharpshooter, Naomi screaming out in pain. She is close enough to the ropes, however, to get to them before having too much pressure put on to force the tap. Natalya gets up slowly and forces Naomi on to her feet once again, lifting her on to her shoulder. Noami scrambles free and lands behind Natalya, however, hitting a hard forearm to the back of the head. Natalya bounces off the ropes and comes back to Naomi delivering the Rear View! She covers Natalya for the pinfall victory.
Naomi gets back on to her feet but doesn't have much time to celebrate as Tamina Snuka comes in from behind, leveling her with a boot to the back of the head! The crowd boos as Snuka stands over her, Derrick Bateman coming in to the ring as well. He pats his chest while leaning over Naomi as if he did the damage, Snuka rolling her eyes in response to him. She exits the ring with her statement made, Bateman throwing his hands up with a grin.
Back from the break we go to the therapist office with Cody Rhodes and Goldust, Rhodes now wearing his wrestling gear along with his brother, shaking his head. "Now that we have that situated, I want you two to share what you like and dislike the most about each other." Says the therapist, Goldust turning to Cody with a smile. Rhodes keeps trying to turn away, saying that this is too weird. "Cody, I really like everything about you... except, you're just a little crazy." Rhodes' eyes nearly bulge out of his head as he hears the word, turning to his brother and scoffing. "Crazy!? Are you kidding me!? You think I'm crazy!? I'M NOT CRAZY! I'M... I'm..." He slows himself down, staring at the therapist and says that his brother has always been there for him, but he just can't take him seriously because he is just so weird. He mutters under his breath, the therapist saying that maybe Cody is wrong. "Maybe, just maybe, Cody... you're the one that is 'weird' between the two of you." He says, Goldust laughing under his breath. Rhodes looks down at the floor and can't believe what the doctor just said, standing up and pacing!
ANTONIO CESARO DEF. JACK SWAGGER (W/ZEB COLTER) » Before the referee calls for the bell, Swagger tackles Cesaro in the corner and begins a beat down. The bell is called for after he backs off and Swagger walks right in to Cesaro grabbing him by the legs, performing the Cesaro Swing and going around fifteen times! Cesaro flexes his muscles and lets Swagger get back up, hitting him with the Neutralizer! He rolls him over for the one, two, three.
Cesaro rises on to his feet and pumps his fists in signature fashion, Colter ascending the steel steps with a microphone in his hand. "Antonio, you're one lucky man." He steps between the ropes and approaches Cesaro, saying that he is lucky that Jack Swagger is rusty coming off an injury. "However, you're quite an impressive talent... and despite the fact that you are from Switzerland... I'd like to extend an offer to you to put all of that aside and present yourself as a real American!" He places his hand over his heart and Cesaro looks around the arena, chuckling in response. He throws his hands up and says that he isn't interested, Swagger quickly coming from behind and clotheslining him! He begins a beat down of Cesaro in the corner but gets shoved back. Swagger rushes forward and gets launched in the air, being met with a huge uppercut on the fall! The 'Real American' flops across the ring and underneath the ropes, Colter scrambling to follow him as Cesaro stands tall, holding his Money in the Bank briefcase over his head. "Is this guy going to ever cash in?" Says Rollins, which JBL notes he has been saying for weeks on end now! Cole butts in and reminds them that Cesaro still has plenty of time.
Returning, we once again go to the therapy session between Cody Rhodes and Goldust, the latter sharing how he just wants to be successful with his brother in the WWE. Cody rolls his eyes and stares at him. "You want to be successful with me yet you continue to blow it! Every time I give us a chance to win and be successful, you're out there losing!" Goldust puts his head and shakes his head, saying that he isn't the only one that has been losing. Rhodes looks around the room and scoffs, getting on to his feet and running his hands over his head. "You know something, brother... you're right... I'm sorry..." He looks to the therapist and then back to Goldust, smacking his brother across the face! He storms out of the room as Goldust collapses on to the floor in disbelief, the therapist asking if he is alright repeatedly.
Cutting backstage in the arena, Renee Young is standing by with Sheamus. She thanks him for his time and questions how he is feeling going against his friend, Bryan Danielson, and if him being the Undisputed WWE Champion will get in his way. "Get in my way, Renee?" He says with a shrug, saying that he respects Bryan and they will remain friends win or lose tonight, but there is no doubt he is going out there to win and put his name in the hat for a future title shot. "I plan on walking out there, winning and then maybe stepping over to that announce table and kicking Seth Rollins' head off his shoulders... fella." He pounds his chest with a smile and heads off, as the main event between himself and Bryan Danielson is coming up next!
UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPION BRYAN DANIELSON DEF. SHEAMUS IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The referee calls for the bell and the two circle around before coming to the middle of the ring, Bryan throwing kicks and Sheamus punches. They go back and forth with their contrasting styles, Sheamus getting the upper hand with his power. He misses a clothesline in the corner and Danielson flies across the ring, coming back with a dropkick that sends Sheamus to the outside! He follows up with Air Goat and gets back on to his feet, starting up the 'Yes!' chants while staring Rollins down on commentary, a commercial break following. Upon the return, Danielson unleashes with kicks to the chest of Sheamus in the corner and runs across the ring, bouncing off the corner before coming back with a dropkick. He goes for it again only for the 'Celtic Warrior' to avoid it and let him crash and burn. Bryan gets back up and Sheamus takes total control, displaying his strength once again and gets multiple near falls. He prepares for the Brogue Kick, backing his way in to the corner. Danielson starts to stagger on to his feet but before Sheamus can run off, Rollins comes off commentary and grabs his leg! Sheamus turns around and tries to grab him from over the ropes. Rollins backs away with his hands up, however, Sheamus slowly turning around right in to the running knee from Bryan! The Undisputed WWE Champion hooks the inside leg for the three count.
Danielson gets back on to his feet and starts up the 'Yes!' chants once again, Rollins applauding him with a grin while sitting against the announce table. He pulls up a microphone and raises his eyebrows at the champion. "Wow, Bryan, what a champion you are! Man, am I envious of how great you truly are... I mean, I don't know how you manage to get it done over and over again... oh wait, maybe I do!" He gestures up to the titantron and Danielson turns to it, the replay showing of the finish to the match where Rollins cost Sheamus the match to give Danielson the victory. The champion looks furious at the titantron and spins around, Rollins in the ring to plant him with the Undisputed WWE Championship belt! The crowd boos as he runs to the ropes and comes back with a huge Curb Stomp to Bryan! The heat continues to come down on Seth as he slowly pulls the title up from the mat in to his hands with a smile, raising it up high over his head with a grin. "I learned a lot about Seth Rollins tonight, Michael, and I truly think that will be the sight we see at Payback!" Says JBL on commentary, Cole saying it is very well possible and he fears the day that happens. Monday Night Raw comes to an end.

| Back at No Way Out, Seth Rollins earned a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. After having it turned in to a fatal four way, Rollins' frustration grew and after losing to Danielson in that match, assaulted Commissioner Foley to get himself his one-on-one title shot. | After being eliminated by John Cena in their match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Extreme Rules, Dolph Ziggler cost him the match. The 'Show Off' would explain his disgust for Cena being handed chances over him, leading to a match between the two at Payback. |
|
| After assaulting Kane, taking the late Paul Bearer's urn and ending The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak, the 'Big Red Machine' Kane made his return to the WWE by targeting Bray Wyatt. After a loss at Extreme Rules, Kane called for one more match with Wyatt: A Last Man Standing match. | Kevin Owens, the leader of The Purge, made his debut along with Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe to target CM Punk the night after WrestleMania. Chris Jericho brought the group on The Highlight Reel after Alberto Del Rio was also attacked, suffering the same fate. Now, Y2J faces Owens. |
A very special thank you to Elliot for all Payback graphics.

- Seth Rollins bragging about what he did last week only makes sense considering that not only did he beat Sheamus but he has pretty much had the upper hand on the Undisputed WWE Champion Bryan Danielson every step of the way but that after what he has done not only to the WWE Commissioner Mick Foley and also what he did to Jerry the King Lawler he is pretty much untouchable I mean he is when you think about it but to see Rollins on commentary, what a treat, you know he is actually or could be a great commentator
- AJ Styles beating Wade Barrett by DQ in order to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship, titles can't change hands on a DQ but at the same time Styles let's face it he had Barrett beat and then The Commonwealth have to come in and do Barrett's bidding as they mug AJ Styles right after the match with Barrett standing tall I wonder if this is the end of this rivalry? Or if it continues? If it continues then I can see AJ Styles defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Wade Barrett again at Payback
- The Purge, I just love this stable I love this group because they remind me so much of The Shield and how The Shield first broke on to the scene, Kevin Owens is obviously the badass of The Purge he reminds me so much of Roman Reigns of The Shield with Zayn being the Rollins of the group and Crowe being the Ambrose of the group but these 3 renegades these 3 radicals I mean look at the impact they have made since debuting taking out not only CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho but who can stop them? Cue Jericho's return, I wasn't expecting Jericho to return this quickly especially after he was destroyed by The Purge now this surprises me this shocks me actually because they took him out but Jericho he obviously wants payback but is he going to get it? Jericho challenging the muscle of The Purge challenging the enforcer of The Purge Kevin Owens, now that is definitely a match I want to see Owens vs Jericho and the fact that it is happening at Payback I wonder if Zayn and Crowe will be lurking at Payback?
- This sibling therapy of The Rhodes Brothers I mean it can only end in one way, I mean this could be the rebirth of Cody Rhodes the birth of Starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdustttttttttttttttttt
- Tamina Snuka advancing in the WWE Divas Championship tournament by beating Layla, Tamina is all that much closer to becoming the new #1 Contender for the WWE Divas Championship and the only way she can become WWE Divas Champion is if she drops Derrick Bateman totally she doesn't need him anymore and if there is anyone who could be a threat to AJ's title, it is definitely Tamina one of the best divas on the roster in terms of pure wrestling ability and talent and raw strength especially for a diva I mean the business is in her blood being the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka I know her father he would especially be proud of her should she become WWE Divas Champion
- Roman Reigns with his advocate Paul Heyman, Reigns is still the WWE United States Champion and he continues to beat whoever is placed in front of him and not to mention the impact he has made in 1 whole year after his debut not only becoming a Heyman Guy but also becoming WWE United States Champion I mean Paul Heyman's client could be a future Undisputed WWE Champion I mean and on the roll Reigns has been on who can beat him for that title he currently holds? No one but to see Dean Ambrose step up to the challenge to face Reigns, out of all the people I was expecting I was not expecting Dean Ambrose to challenge Paul Heyman's client and yes let's not forget Ambrose in this diary he is a former WWE United States Champion but coming off of perhaps the biggest feud in his career with the COO Triple H and now facing Reigns, I wonder if we will see these 2 go at it for the WWE United States Championship?
- Looks like I get my wish and to see Dean Ambrose become the new WWE United States Champion beating Heyman's client becoming the new WWE United States Champion I can't believe this, I just can't believe it, Ambrose not only beats Reigns but in a shocker of a match I mean I definitely did not see this one coming since Reigns has been so dominant as WWE United States Champion but I just didn't figure Ambrose to be the one to dethrone Reigns but Heyman his client he is entitled to a rematch, so I can see Reigns invoking his rematch clause but at Payback for the WWE United States Championship
- R-Truth & Bo Dallas challenging the Hardy Boyz for the WWE Tag Team Championships, I definitely did not expect this but at the same time it makes sense but at the same time I am kind of looking forward to it
- Rusev wins yet another match beating Kofi Kingston I mean and after what he did to Big Show at Extreme Rules and ever since debuting on the scene winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in his debut in his very first match at WrestleMania 30 and then afterwards winning match after match I mean who can stop this undefeated Russian? I mean if Big Show can't do it then I wonder who will be able to stop this man? I mean no one has been able to
- Kane this time beating Erick Rowan, I mean Kane he's now beaten Harper and now Rowan he still wants Bray Wyatt and I for one expected this rivalry to continue but what I wasn't counting on was for this rivalry to continue in a Last Man Standing Match for Payback I would have figured that these 2 would go at it again in another match but I was hoping that it would be an Inferno Match or a Buried Alive Match but who knows maybe we will see a Buried Alive Match between Kane and Bray Wyatt at the PPV after Payback which is Money in the Bank or at the PPV after that at Battleground: King of the Ring
- So who is the babyface and who is the heel in this feud between Cena and Ziggler? I mean they are both babyfaces both loved by the crowd Ziggler is more loved than Cena but still at the same time Ziggler has been coming off as being heelish even though he is still a babyface and I think Ziggler works better as a babyface anyway whereas Cena he has been heel in your diary before and to tell you the truth I would want to see a John Cena heel turn again in your diary and who better for him to turn heel against than Ziggler? But to see these 2 go at it at WWE Payback now this is a match I definitely think could be Match of the Night possibly Match of the Year material as far as Slammy Awards goes in your diary
- Naomi beating Natalya in the WWE Divas Championship tournament I wonder if there are other WWE Divas in this tournament like The Bella Twins, Paige, Cameron, Summer Rae, or hell you can even bring up NXT divas to the main roster and have them in this tournament to make things more interesting to at least make this tournament worth a damn but still Naomi beating Natalya this has got to be an upset victory for me at least anyway
- Mr. Money in the Bank Antonio Cesaro beating Jack Swagger, I mean Cesaro he needs all the momentum in the world especially if he is ever going to cash in that Money in the Bank briefcase and so far he has been biding his damn time I mean cash in already and get it over with I mean seriously like when is he ever going to cash in? I mean I am with Rollins and JBL on this the longer Cesaro waits the more idiotic he becomes because he doesn't have that much time to cash in his briefcase I mean he has another month until the Money in the Bank PPV to cash in before it becomes 1 whole year that he has had that briefcase and his time is running out
- I knew it, I wonder if this will finally be the thing that causes Cody Rhodes to finally snap? I mean seriously it is only a matter of time because this sibling therapy session has been nothing but a joke
- And in the main event WWE Undisputed Champion Bryan Danielson beats Sheamus all be it with help from Rollins who gets off of commentary and gets involved in the match and Danielson taking advantage after Sheamus was distracted and then afterwards RAW ending with Rollins standing tall yet again, could this be what happens at Payback? Will we see a new Undisputed WWE Champion?

Hey, I'm almost caught up to you date wise in WWE: The Diary! Anyway, Seth Rollins opening and joining commentary is kind of perfect after his actions last week. He has to be better at it than Jerry Lawler, amirite? Starting with an Intercontinental Title match is always welcome, especially when it's two guys with the talent of AJ Styles and Wade Barrett. The Commonwealth beatdown tells me this is far from over. I assume we get a blowoff at Payback. Relatively short Purge segment but it did the job. Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens should be excellent. Also, in the graphic for Payback, it looks like Owens is taking a poopy. I actually had an idea for a therapy session between the Rhodes Brothers in my sim. Funny stuff, especially considering in real life, Stardust was the one taking the gimmick too far. Tamina Snuka advancing in the Tournament is fine, but I hope you end up doing more with Derrick Bateman. THE SHIELD EXPLODES! Seriously though, a pretty shocking moment here. I did not expect Roman Reigns to lose the title so soon. I guess this will lead to a feud between the two, which I'm okay with. Rusev CRUSH Kofi Kingston. Fine by me. Kane over Erick Rowan is fine, and it looks like we do get the rematch against Bray Wyatt that I expected. I still can't fathom Kane over him, but the feud makes sense. Dolph Ziggler really comes off as justified, but also a bit whiny so it works. The plastic girlfriend comment had like "OH SNAP". Naomi over Natalya is also fine. I'm interested in who wins this and seeing if they dethrone AJ, or if we're waiting for Paige to return. The Real Americans? It's happening! Or not. I didn't think it would. He has Money in the Bank, he's past a tag team. There goes Cody Rhodes slapping his brother. That douche. Bryan Danielson defeating Sheamus in the main event is great. Those two guys always have excellent matches. Seth Rollins getting involved post match was expected, to build towards Payback. Solid episode here.

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 12th May 2014…Seth Rollins opening up the show is fine, given that he’s pretty much the next top contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It seems like he is also your summer angle, so I’m all for this idea. I can’t see him claiming the title from Daniel Bryan at the same time, though. Wow that was a short promo for you. Rollins joining commentary tonight should be…something. I’m not too sure about this to be honest, it’s a nice move, but if it’s storyline driven like this, you’d think that Rollins would just keep distracting viewers from other storylines going on throughout the show. Hmm. Tied on this decision – maybe would have worked better as an angle on SmackDown, to be honest. Good opening contest with a screwy finish protecting the conclusion of the Commonwealth’s business with AJ Styles. I do think that Wade Barrett will be back for a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship at Payback given his intent to hurt Styles after losing it in the first place. The Purge’s promo was nice and well done, although the lack of dialogue from Solomon Crowe and Sami Zayn made it seem weird – I know that Kevin Owens is the centrepiece, but it was weird to hear only Owens on the microphone. Chris Jericho’s interruption was ideal returning from the beating at Extreme Rules. So…Jericho faces Owens at Payback? That doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me. The antics with Cody Rhodes and Goldust continues. I like the comedic aspects, but hopefully after this phase of the storyline things get a little more serious – especially with a great angle with Rhodes’ new bipolar gimmick. Tamina Snuka beat Layla in the contender’s tournament…first round? I think that could be clarified more. This didn’t feel RAW-worthy given how rarely these two Divas are seen on this show, to be honest. Could we see a graphic of the brackets for this tournament? Just an idea. It seems like Derrick Bateman’s push is on hold for now with Tamina in the spotlight out of the two. I doubt she’ll win the tournament, though. Oh well, Dean Ambrose came back from the Extreme Rules beating quickly. Could have used until after Payback for him to sell the injuries from the Steel-Cage match, but alright. Roman Reigns has a new challenger, which should lead to a cool storyline I imagine. I bet Ambrose and Paul Heyman could have stellar verbiage on the microphone. And…Ambrose wins the United States Championship? Meh. I don’t really like this, although a storyline will definitely follow this. I just don’t think this is the right direction for Ambrose’s character, to be honest. This definitely hurt Reigns, though. I suppose a series with the Hardys and Bo Dallas & R-Truth wouldn’t hurt. I don’t see Dallas and Truth being worthy to take the WWE Tag Team Championships from Jeff and Matt, but this could work I do suppose. Rusev beating Kofi Kingston made sense as you continue to strengthen Rusev up. I hope Kofi doesn’t just fall to the bottom of the roster. It’s angles like these where Seth Rollins on commentary would damage things. Didn’t like the interaction after the match among the announce team. Kane beating Erick Rowan made sense, as Kane wants to get his hands on Bray Wyatt still. I assume that Luke Harper will be next. Last Man Standing at Payback sounds good, now I hope you make this feud spicy. Have the Wyatt Family take a limb out of Kane and try to weaken it so he can’t fire back come Payback. Maybe the leg so he can’t stand up or something. Use some basic psychology on this one. Dolph Ziggler still trying to get the crowd to hate him it sounds like. Another good, explanatory promo from the newly turned heel, and I liked the reaction from John Cena as Payback now appears to be getting beefed up. Although strangely, the undercard looks stronger than the main event. I am happy about this Ziggler and Cena feud though, they had great chemistry in 2012, and enjoyed their exchanges sans AJ Lee’s involvement. Naomi beating Natalya…that was surprising. I could genuinely see Naomi going on to challenge the Divas Champion though. Snuka attacking her after the bell made sense to weaken her next opponent in the tournament. It’s a shame that the Divas Champion herself appears to be nowhere to be found. More hijinks from Cody and Goldust. Antonio Cesaro beating Jack Swagger reminded us who holds the Money in the Bank briefcase…he’s running out of time at this point. The premise of Zeb Colter getting in Cesaro’s face was an interesting one and was tongue-in-cheek to the Real Americans…but I doubt you’ll be going in that direction. Cody with the heat on Goldust, this came across like a fun string of segments. And lastly, a match I almost forgot about – this should have been hyped more with an interview or something. I’m not even really sure why this main evented given Bryan and Sheamus’ lack of history in this diary. I don’t know what set this up exactly. Bryan got another win against a bigger opponent though, strengthening him further against Sheamus in what would be a good match. Isn’t this face vs face though? The exchange with Rollins and Bryan was what it was, it set up for Payback – although again with Rollins on commentary, it was probably overkill for this show to promote the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match in a few weeks time. Overall, this wasn’t a bad show – but it definitely wasn’t too great booking wise. It was strong, but it came across as very average and there were a few decisions made that I think you may regret later on. Typical post-WrestleMania RAW.

I'm here! Fear not! Seth Rollins commandeering Lawler's commentary spot is pretty cool. I sense a match when Lawler's returns. A disqualification finish was necessary here and Barrett really needed to walk out looking strong if he's to have any credibility going into Payback. Chris Jericho is back and is ready to face Kevin Owens! So did they not beat him as bad as they beat Punk? Or is Jericho secretly John Cena? Strange segment with the Rhodes brothers. I wouldn't mind seeing stamina become Divas Champion tbh. I'm a fan of hers and it makes a change from Paige and AJ. Open challenge? Championship on the line? This can't end well. A title change? Outta nowhere! Not sure what this means for Roman Reigns but I'm interested to see where it goes. Another clear victory for Rusev. Where does he go from here after beating Big Show? I think a victory for Kane was much needed here as even though he really shouldn't win any big matches in this feud, he needs the smaller wins to stay relevant and credible. Last Man Standing should certainly be the end of it with Wyatt putting an end to Kane. Ziggler's heel turn is something fresh for him and I like it as long as it results in big things for him. I think he'll beat Cena at Payback and eventually lose to him come SummerSlam. I like both Naomi and Natalya, so either is a good choice of contender. I definitely see this situation with Cody and Goldust bringing about Stardust. I enjoyed the nod to the real-life Real Americans in the Cesaro/Swagger segment but I'm glad it didn't actually happen. WHEN WILL HE CASH IN DAMNIT?! Big finish and a necessary victory for Bryan Danielson. Seth Rollins walks out looking strong but I don't see him winning the title until at least a few months down the line.

AJ first off my bad for not replying to Mania it's been a crazy 3 months for me man. I read it and genuinely it was up there with the better shows this board has produced in my time here.
Like the new layout it seems to be the layout of choice at the minute.
Some quick thoughts on some of the things I've read recently...
Seth Rollins is on the rise like the thought of Rollins taking Lawlers spot on commentary, 3 hours of Rollins may have been a bit much though despite it being a nice way of building the Bryan/Rollins match.
Think you took the title of Barrett a little early you were doing a good job giving credibility to both Barrett and the title while AJ wasn't doing to much. Could have done with a couple more months of build up.
Cesaro still keeping hold of MITB briefcase.
Overall there is no denying the quality of the diary but I currently feel like there's something missing from the diary it still feels to similar to current day WWE I would like you to mix things up a little like you have in the past.

MAY 15, 2014 FROM THE GREENSBORO COLISEUM IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA
The Thursday Night Smackdown intro video airs and the cameras come in to the Greensboro Coliseum from Greensboro, North Carolina! Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield give the welcome to the show where tonight, we have one heck of a main event planned as the Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles will run the gauntlet against The Commonwealth! Wade Barrett will be out soon to give further details on the contest. Plus, a new United States Champion was crowned on Raw and the manager for the man that lost the title, Paul Heyman, will be here to address the situation and we are positive the new champion Dean Ambrose will have his ears open to hear what Heyman has to say!
The theme music of Wade Barett hits and the North Carolina crowd boos heavily as the leader of The Commonwealth makes his way out, followed up by the rest of the group. They march down and in to the ring, Barrett demanding a microphone from ringside. "I'll have you all know that at Extreme Rules, AJ Styles got lucky to walk away with the Intercontinental Championship. However, he is not the true champion - I am!" The boos come down as Barrett explains that this past Monday on Raw, he had his rematch for the title and it ended in disqualification, therefore there was no clear cut and clean finish. "Therefore, I went to the board of directors and with the absence of an authority figure, they made the decision that I am out here to announce... tonight, AJ Styles will be involved in a gauntlet match with The Commonwealth and if... rather, when The Commonwealth walks away victorious, I will receive my title match at Payback where I will once again claim what is rightfully mine and should be around my waist right this very moment!" The North Carolina crowd continues to show their displeasure for Barrett as he grows a smile across his face, preparing to say more only for AJ Styles' music to hit!
The Intercontinental Champion makes his way out to the stage with a smile across his face, the title over his shoulder and a microphone in his hand. "Really Wade? You're not going to give up on this thing about you being the 'true champion' are you? I beat you fair and square at Extreme Rules and you aren't going to get over it. Hell, I had you beat on Raw this past Monday but you had your goons come in to the ring and stop me from dropping you with the Styles Clash!" He shrugs his shoulders and Barrett snaps in response, saying that he didn't have him beat and he can't prove it. Styles laughs and says that is fair enough, but the last time he planted him with the Styles Clash he ended up walking away with the Intercontinental Championship, so he just assumed if he did it again on Raw it would have been the same result. The WWE Universe cheers the words of Styles as he continues on. "So let me get this straight... tonight, here on Smackdown, I face your crew of The Commonwealth in a gauntlet match and if I don't manage to survive somehow, you get yourself another crack at the Intercontinental Championship at Payback?" He snickers and says that sounds just fine with him, saying that he'll be more than happy to leave Barrett disappointed by wiping the floor with the rest of The Commonwealth right in front of him. His music hits once again and Styles holds his title over his head with a smile, making his way to the back as he is confident he'll survive the gauntlet later on tonight.
BRAY WYATT (W/LUKE HARPER AND ERICK ROWAN) DEF. RYBACK » The bell sounds and Ryback charges forward, exchanging blows with Wyatt. The 'Big Guy' gets some momentum brewing but it is brought to a halt as Bray delivers a huge forearm to the face. He begins a brutal beat down and shouts out to the crowd how he is the 'new phenom'. He hits a big turnaround splash in the corner and performs his signature spider walk, Ryback groggily getting up and staring wide eyed. Wyatt gets to his feet and avoids the Meat Hook Clothesline, quickly hooking a hold of the head and nailing Sister Abigail! With a laugh, he covers him for the three.
Wyatt slowly pulls himself on to his knees, spreading his arms out to the booing crowd. Harper and Rowan slowly enter the ring with him, Harper handing over a microphone to his leader. "Last man standing... LAST! MAN! STANDING!" Wyatt shouts with a cackle. "Kane, man, you don't know what you've gotten yourself in to... I was the last man standing at WrestleMania over your dear, dear brother... I showed to the world that I was the new phenom and now, man, at Payback... I'm gonna be the last... man... standing..." He lets out a bellowing laugh and drops the microphone to the mat, spreading his arms again as The Wyatt Family signature hits.
Returning backstage, Byron Saxton is standing by with Diva's Champion AJ Lee. He points out how on Raw this past Monday we saw Tamina Snuka and Naomi win their matches and next week they will face each other with the winner getting a title shot against AJ at Payback. He asks what her thoughts are on her two potential opponents. "Byron, it doesn't really matter, honestly. Tamina, Naomi... whichever one of them beats the other is just asking to be beaten by me at Payback." She gives a smile and pats him on the shoulder, saying that she'll be showing why she is the Diva's Champion here tonight and will be showing that same thing at Payback in a few weeks. She skips away, Summer Rae seen standing in the ring waiting along with Fandango, whom sways his hips to her dismay. She orders him to stop as AJ's music hits.
DIVA'S CHAMPION AJ LEE DEF. SUMMER RAE (W/FANDANGO) IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings and Summer walks up to AJ, screaming that she is no true champion, prompting Lee to smack her with a kick to the side. The Diva's Champion totally dominates the contest, Summer barely able to get any offense in. As soon as she does, she grows distracted by Fandango flirting with women in the audience, allowing AJ to blast her with a kick to the back of the head, which she follows up with the Black Widow, causing Summer to tap very quickly.
The fans show their approval of AJ as she gets on to her feet, taking her title from the referee and a microphone from ringside. "Just like I said... Tamina, Naomi... it doesn't matter how good either one of you are. Whichever one of you wins on Monday is just lining yourself up for a loss against me at Payback." She drops the mike with a smile and skips around the ring before exiting, continuing to prance her way up the ramp and towards the back.
Still to come later on tonight, the Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles will run The Commonwealth Gauntlet. But coming up next, we will hear from Paul Heyman!
Back from the break, Lilian Garcia introduces Paul Heyman, whom stands in the middle of the ring by himself - being swamped by boos from the WWE Universe. He adjusts his tie and clears his throat, excusing himself. "Ladies and gentlemen... my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate for two of the most dominant forces in WWE history... the 'Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar and the new next big thing, Roman Reigns." The heat keeps coming towards Heyman as he explains that this past Monday night on Raw, the latter of his clients did what any true champion would do and defended his title and the challenge was accepted by 'some lunatic' named Dean Ambrose. "And ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls I must inform you that Dean Ambrose is not the true United States Champion... the true United States Champion is my client Roman Reigns and the true new, next big thing is Roman Reigns and this 'Lunatic Fringe' you all cheer is nothing more than a common criminal and like he should be locked up for assaulting the Chief Operating Officer of this company, he should be locked up for stealing the United States Championship from a real champion! From a real WWE superstar! My client Rrrroman! RRRRREIGNS! And Dean Ambrose... you better watch yourself because once my client gets his hands on you again he is going to take his title back because it should have never left and Dean Ambrose you better watch yourself because only God himself can save you from the whooping Roman Reigns is going to give you in order to get his title back around his waist!"
As Heyman seems prepared to leave the ring, Dean Ambrose's music hits and The Greensboro Coliseum pops, the new United States Champion emerging from the back with a smile across his face. He struts his way down to the ring and takes a microphone as he enters, standing right in front of Heyman with a laugh. He looks down at his newly won title and raises his eyebrows, shrugging his shoulders. "So your big man Roman Reigns is upset that I took this away from him, huh?" Heyman nods to the statement, Ambrose saying he is sorry. "I'm sorry I was too busy taking care of Triple H to take it away from him sooner. Y'know, Paul, if Roman Reigns wants to come and take this from me... you tell him that I'll be waiting for him and I'll kick his ass any time, any place and walk away with 'his' United States Championship no matter when that time is." The WWE Universe cheers the response as Heyman backs up to the ropes, running his hand across his face. He looks down at the floor before looking back at Ambrose, telling him that he is glad he said that. "Because... this Monday on Raw, Roman Reigns will be there... and Dean... if you don't hand over that United States Championship, my client is going to knock you out with a Superman Punch and he's gonna rip that title from your lifeless body! And in the famous words of my client... you can believe... that." He drops the microphone to the mat, raising his eyebrows and throwing his hands out at Ambrose. The 'Lunatic Fringe' smiles as Heyman exits the ring as Dean flinches towards him, the United States Champion raising the belt high over his head as Heyman makes his way towards the back slowly.
R-TRUTH AND BO DALLAS DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE HARDY BOYZ IN A NON-TITLE MATCH » The bell rings as Truth starts things off with Matt, the latter dominating early on and making frequent tags to Jeff. Dallas shouts out inspiring things to his partner repeatedly, getting him distracted and ordering him to shut up multiple times. The Hardy Boyz get multiple near falls on Truth and he finally begins to mount a comeback. As he gains momentum, however, Dallas makes the blind tag. Truth stops himself and in turn, gets hit with the Twist of Fate by Matt! Jeff proceeds with the Swanton Bomb, Matt not realizing Dallas is legal. He turns around and is kicked in the gut, Bo following up with the Running Bo-Dog! He covers Matt quickly and gets the surprising one, two, three!
Dallas hops on to his feet, jumping up and down in celebration! Truth looks at him wide-eyed, just as shocked as everyone else in the building! "WE DID IT, TRUTH! WE DID IT!" Shouts Dallas as he runs around the ring with both thumbs high up in the air. He pulls Truth in to the ring with him and raises his arm up, Truth still unsure what to think of his strange partner, despite the effectiveness of their team thus far. Matt and Jeff try and regroup, meanwhile, on the outside.
Back from break, the theme music of Rusev hits and the WWE Universe greets him with boos as he marches out to the stage along with Lana, waving the Russian flag over his head. He plants it down as Lana holds a microphone, a smile across her face, calling for silence from the crowd. "Foolish Americans, always holding on to small, little glimmers of hope. At Extreme Rules, you all really believed that Rusev's dominance would be put to a stop by a big, bad giant named Big Show. You called Rusev's dominance a 'reign of terror'... well, America, you are only just seeing the beginning of that reign... that dominance... for Rusev is only getting started. All those whom step forward to challenge Vladimir Putin's hand-picked super-athlete will fail, just as all of you do." She gives a smile as the boos continue on, Rusev taking the microphone from her and vowing that all those whom dare step forward to him will be crushed. He waves the flag up high over his head once again as his music hits, a clear warning sent to the WWE Universe.
Cutting over to ringside, Michael Cole goes back to what happened this past Monday night with Seth Rollins. He would open the show up and join himself and JBL on commentary for the night and when the main event came around between Bryan Danielson and Sheamus, Rollins would play mind games with Bryan by helping him beat Sheamus before laying him out. Now, this upcoming Monday on Raw we will finally be hearing from Danielson as he plans to call out Seth!
Coming up next is the main event as AJ Styles runs The Commonwealth Gauntlet. If The Commonwealth is victorious, Barrett gets himself another title opportunity at Payback!
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. DREW MCINTYRE IN THE NON-TITLE COMMONWEALTH GAUNTLET » The bell rings and McIntyre quickly targets the legs of Styles, only to be rocked back with forearms to the face. AJ barely lets him get any offense in and surprises Wade Barrett, whom watches from the ramp, by putting McIntyre away quickly with the Pele Kick, followed by the Styles Clash, resulting in the easy three count.
The crowd approves of the quick result as Styles gets on to his feet, motioning up the ramp. Barrett rubs his chin with a microphone in his hand before bringing it up. "Fair enough, AJ. You got lucky on that one... here is your second opponent - Adam Rose!" He makes his way out, Rose telling Barrett he has this. He marches down to the ring.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. ADAM ROSE IN THE NON-TITLE COMMONWEALTH GAUNTLET » The referee calls for the bell to be rung and the two lock up, Styles once again quickly dominating. Rose surprises him with a clothesline from out of the corner and gets a near fall. He gets a few more before missing a top rope crossbody, allowing Styles to once again to take total control of the match. He hits him with a springboard forearm and follows it up with the Spiral Tap! He hooks both legs up for the one, two, three.
AJ rises up to his feet one again, kicking Rose out of the ring slowly. He gestures for more up the ramp, the patriarch of The Commonwealth still looking rather calm. "Alright, alright! Time to step things up, Styles... hows about you go one on one with the veteran of my noble men... a man that is a two-time Intercontinental Champion himself... William Regal!" He slowly makes his way out and shakes the hand of The Commonwealth 'King' before turning his attention towards the ring. He begins to make his way down the ramp, a commercial break proceeding.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. WILLIAM REGAL IN THE NON-TITLE COMMONWEALTH GAUNTLET » Upon the return from break, the match is underway with Regal keeping Styles grounded. He refuses to let him get any of his high flying moves in and keeps working away at him with multiple submission holds. He lets AJ get up in the corner and it turns in to a mistake as he misses a clothesline, Styles hitting a huge kick to the back. He unloads with multiple shots to the head and brings Regal down repeatedly for two count after two count. Following a short back-and-forth affair between the two, Styles avoids the Knee Trembler and blasts Regal with a Pele Kick! He scrambles on top of him for the pinfall.
Barrett is visibly frustrated atop the stage, running his hand over his head. "Alright, Styles! Time for you to meet your maker... my right hand man, Damien Sandow! DAMIEN! BRING AN END TO THIS CHARADE!" Sandow proceeds to rush his way out, stopping in front of the ring at Barrett's command. Styles is confused as Regal comes up from behind and drops him to the mat with a shot to the back of the head! He proceeds to apply the Regal Stretch, refusing to let up for quite some time. After he finally does, Sandow comes in to the ring with a smile and waits for Styles to be assisted back on to his feet, the referee conferring with him in order to see if he continue, to which the Intercontinental Champion insists he can.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES DEF. DAMIEN SANDOW IN THE NON-TITLE COMMONWEALTH GAUNTLET » Sandow rushes up to Styles as soon as the bell rings and smashes him with a knee to the gut. He unloads with a ferocious beat down, the official getting to multiple four counts with Styles against the ropes. He ends up chucking AJ shoulder first in to the steel post, letting him crumble to the outside and for a commercial break to interrupt the contest. After which, Sandow maintains control of the match and keeps getting near falls on Styles, causing him to grow more frustrated. He misses his signature elbow drop and it allows AJ to get back in to things. As he goes to the top rope for the Spiral Tap it seems, Sandow gets back up in time to hang him up on the top rope, following it up with a superplex! Another near fall comes of it and the crowd gets a bit anxious. Sandow starts to stomp away at Styles, the referee having to pull him back. AJ rises on to his feet again slowly in the corner, Sandow stepping up to him only to be dropkicked hard! Styles gets back up groggy, tripping Damien face first in to the turnbuckle before going for a backslide, only to get a count of two. Both men get back up slowly and Styles ducks a clothesline, delivering a Pele Kick! He rolls out to the apron and follows it up with a springboard forearm to the face! The Intercontinental Champion gets back up and points up the ramp at Barrett, letting Sandow rise up before delivering a kick to the stomach, followed by the Styles Clash! He rolls him over for the one, two, three!
"AJ Styles has done it! He has survived the gauntlet and Wade Barrett will not receive another title shot!" Shouts Cole on commentary, only for Rose, Regal and McIntyre to storm down to the ring again! Styles fights them off at first but the numbers become too much, eventually becoming four on one as Sandow gets back up and in to it. After seeming satisfied, Barrett makes his way down to the ring with a smile across his face, entering through the ropes slowly. "I'm sorry, AJ, did I fail to mention that you were wrong earlier? You see, you thought if you survived my round-table of The Commonwealth, this would all be said and done. However, you never gave me the opportunity to specify you didn't have to just go through my four noble men... because you have to go through myself as well." He lets out an evil laugh as JBL praises the genius of The Commonwealth's 'King', Barrett's men throwing Styles on to his feet in the corner. They step out of the ring as Barrett slowly inverts his elbow pad with a grin, the referee asking Styles if he is ready, the Intercontinental Champion giving a slow nod of approval.
WADE BARRETT DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION AJ STYLES IN THE NON-TITLE COMMONWEALTH GAUNTLET » The bell rings and Barrett storms forward for the Bullhammer Elbow, Styles ducking underneath it and hitting the Pele! He gets back up slowly on the other side of the ring, only to have his leg grabbed by Regal! The crowd boos as Styles pulls away, staring Regal down. He slowly turns and walks right in to the Bullhammer! Barrett slams his hands across the chest and hooks the inside leg for the three count.
The North Carolina crowd boos as Barrett rises back on to his feet with a big smile, raising his fist up to the crowd as he is announced the winner, having earned himself another title shot at Payback. "Not only did he just get an Intercontinental Championship match he deserves, Michael, he just gave AJ Styles his first singles loss in the WWE!" Says JBL, to which Cole tries to give rebuttal by noting how unfair the circumstances were, Layfield claiming it doesn't matter! Barrett is presented the Intercontinental Championship belt by Rose and he raises it high over his head, a foot on the chest of AJ as Thursday Night Smackdown draws to an end.
