My SummerSlam 2014 predictions
- WWE Championship- Bryan Danielson (c) vs Bray Wyatt- Bray Wyatt after the year he has had honestly if he doesn't win the title this Sunday at SummerSlam then the year he has had would all be for nothing because Wyatt he ended Undertaker's Streak in this diary at WrestleMania XXX, then at Extreme Rules he beat The Undertaker's brother Kane in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and then at Payback he beat Kane again in a Last Man Standing Match and then he goes on to win the 2014 King of the Ring beating Randy Orton in the Final to become #1 Contender for the WWE Championship and honestly Wyatt has been on a roll ever since WrestleMania that if he loses on Sunday then it could be the worst possible outcome and honestly Wyatt he is due to have a WWE Championship reign but Wyatt he has not been booked to look strong since ending the streak which he should have been and with him winning the title this Sunday at SummerSlam he can finally be booked strong
- Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman- Lesnar is undefeated at SummerSlam PPVs he has never lost at SummerSlam and honestly Brock he hasn't competed in a match since WrestleMania XXX where he lost the WWE Championship to Danielson inside Hell in a Cell and now that Brock is back he needs to have momentum but then again Reigns he has been competing full time whereas Brock hasn't which puts Brock at a disadvantage but even so Reigns in this feud he has been booked to look strong but then again so has Brock when you think about it but Roman has had the upper hand in this feud so I say Lesnar wins at SummerSlam but Reigns will have a very very strong showing in this match with this match being match of the night
- WWE Intercontinental Championship & Money in the Bank briefcase- Seth Rollins (Mr. Money in the Bank briefcase holder) vs AJ Styles (WWE Intercontinental Champion)- Seth Rollins is already Mr. Money in the Bank who does not even need the WWE Intercontinental Championship considering he has already held the belt and not to mention he was the one who made it relevant again when he had that memorable 350 day title reign having a lengthy title run with the belt so he doesn't need it especially when he has the Money in the Bank briefcase but then again AJ Styles he needs the WWE Intercontinental Championship to further establish himself as a future main event calibre guy but then again AJ Styles he would benefit from holding both the IC Title and the Money in the Bank briefcase but Rollins needs the briefcase more badly than AJ does so I say Rollins wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam along with retaining his Money in the Bank briefcase but Rollins will not hold the WWE Intercontinental Championship long and why? Because he is already Mr. Money in the Bank and he is pretty much guaranteed to become WWE Champion sooner or later
- No Holds Barred- Kevin Owens vs CM Punk- Owens plain and simple needs to go over Punk especially considering how strong The Purge have been booked ever since they burst on to the scene and Owens he is the clear breakout star of The Purge whenever The Purge breaks up and honestly Punk he doesn't really need the win and even a loss here at SummerSlam would not really hurt Punk considering how he is already an established main event guy hell he is a future first ballot WWE Hall of Famer so even if he loses he would actually be making Owens look good because an Owens win would pretty much propel him higher on the card so I say Owens wins at SummerSlam
- John Cena vs Antonio Cesaro w/Paul Heyman- Cesaro needs this win to bounce back considering how he lost the WWE Championship at Battleground in a Fatal 4-Way Match losing his title to Danielson but then again Cena and Reigns were also in that match but still Cesaro ever since he lost the title he hasn't been booked that strong even though he has been feuding with Cena and honestly Cena if he were to lose at SummerSlam it wouldn't really hurt Cena to put Cesaro over considering Cena is at that point in his career that a big loss at a big PPV like SummerSlam wouldn't really hurt him because he always manages to bounce back but a loss for Cesaro then would really kill his momentum hell it would kill Cesaro as a main event talent so Cesaro needs to go over Cena and I say he does at SummerSlam
- WWE Tag Team Championships- Sami Zayn & Solomon Crowe (c) vs Randy Orton & Alberto Del Rio- Zayn and Crowe also stars of The Purge in their own right need to go over Orton and Del Rio but why? You ask why? Simple Zayn and Crowe ever since becoming WWE Tag Team Champions they have needed a solid team to put them over as WWE Tag Team Champions yes The Hardy Boyz Matt and Jeff pretty much put these 2 over and The Hardy Boyz perhaps are one of the greatest tag teams of all time in WWE's history and for them to put over Zayn & Crowe it established them as the future of this business but a win against 2 former World Champions in Orton and Del Rio would further cement them as being the future so I say they will get the job done and retain their titles at SummerSlam
- Rusev w/Lana vs Kane- Rusev simply put needs to go over and why? I mean he is the monster heel in WWE at the moment has been ever since bursting on the scene with Lana as he has been beating opponent after opponent with his undefeated streak still being in tact and which better monster to put Rusev over than Kane? I mean a loss for Kane at this point wouldn't really hurt Kane anyway especially since ever since Kane's return to WWE in this diary he has pretty much been on a losing skid anyway so a loss here wouldn't really surprise me but Rusev needs to be legitimized as a top heel so with him beating Kane here at SummerSlam it pretty much solidifies Rusev as a future main event guy so I say Rusev beats Kane hopefully setting up a Kane monster heel turn because Kane the only way for him to be relevant in this diary again would be for Kane to turn heel and just go on a path of destruction injuring superstars
- Sting vs Taker, the face to face confrontation at SummerSlam, I mean we all know Sting will be at SummerSlam his first SummerSlam as a member of WWE but the better question is is will Taker show up to SummerSlam and if he does this will be the second time these 2 will be in the same ring at the same time ever since the night after Mania XXX, I mean it is pretty much confirmed that these 2 will be facing off at Mania 31 in this diary so what bigger way to further build it up than to have these 2 icons face to face at SummerSlam with Taker officially accepting Sting's challenge for a match at WrestleMania 31?
- As for the Intergender Mixed Tag Team Match at SummerSlam for both the WWE United States Championship and the WWE Divas Championship respectively, Ambrose the WWE United States Champion and AJ Lee the WWE Divas Champion putting their respective titles on the line against Wade Barrett and Paige of The Commonwealth simply put Ambrose and AJ Lee need to go over in this match and why I say that? Because The Commonwealth has been disintegrating for a while now the seeds have already been planted well with Sandow leaving and pretty much Barrett and Paige's wedding being crashed by both Ambrose and AJ that Barrett and Paige losing would be the final nail in the coffin not only for their relationship but also for the whole Commonwealth as a whole and really Barrett he doesn't need The Commonwealth and neither does Paige so I say Ambrose and AJ retain their respective titles in this Winner Takes All Intergender Mixed Tag Team Match
- Cody Rhodes vs Goldust (Brother vs Brother)- Simply put Cody Rhodes he needs to go over more like he has to go over in this match because ever since Cody Rhodes has pretty much turned heel he has hit gold with this crazy, unhinged psychotic gimmick that he has had and it has made him not only more ruthless but also more dangerous too and you can really push Cody here off of this gimmick you can really make him a top main event talent heel with this but honestly Goldust all he has ever done is hold his brother Cody back and in this match if Cody wins what better way for Cody Rhodes to go over than to injure his brother Goldust putting Goldust on the shelf? I say Cody wins further cementing his push

Let's do it RAW. Good opening promo exchange between Bray Wyatt and Bryan Danielson, provided with good final build up to their SummerSlam match. I wonder what lengths Danielson would go to to beat Wyatt. A good opening match that would surely dazzle the crowd, the right man won but I hope you push Adrian Neville. I can see him being Rollins' next feud. Obvious victory for Ambrose and Paige heading into SummerSlam. I hope Barrett and Paige beat Layla and Henry tonight. Another excellent promo exchange between Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. I also enjoyed the physicality between Reigns and Lesnar. That should be a hell of a match at SummerSlam. Another good win for Rusev, keep him strong. That Sting gif is intriguing but a little too fast. Are you bringing in The New Day? Oy. Good six man tag match between The Purge and Punk, Orton, and Del Rio. Good build. Cody Rhodes vs Goldust? Makes me miss Dusty. But it should be a good match. Good thing you put over Barrett and Paige, or I'd riot. I'm interested in what you're doing with Damien Sandow. A good main event, keeping both Danielson and Roman strong ahead of their big matches on Sunday. I hope you give Wyatt the title though. Overall, a good show man.

Bringing Brie Bella into the WWE Title picture? I've never seen someone do that. Ever. I'm digging Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles because having those two guys compete for the Intercontinental Title raises the prestige of that title by a fair amount. Seth and Neville would have a pretty damn good match. Wise booking to have Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee win a mixed tag match. They need some work together heading into SummerSlam. Having the Reigns/Lesnar faceoff spiral into a fight was the best way to go. That's what needs to happen between these two. I think their match will be good despite the fact that I feel like Reigns' face turn has felt a bit rushed. Rusev/Kane is an original match that is intriguing, especially since you've made sure Kane was relevant in recent months. Sting/Undertaker should be an interesting interaction this early before their match. Good call to use the DQ in the six man tag. Their two matches at SummerSlam seem like fun. I sense the Purge sweep. I'm a big fan of a Cody/Goldust program and I've enjoyed the build. The pairing of Mark Henry and Layla is weird. Poor Tyson Kidd. Cesaro/Cena could potentially steal the show at SummerSlam. I'm forgetting, where is Dolph Ziggler? Solid main event and normally I'd have wanted the Wyatts to go over but I get the feeling Bray wins on Sunday so this was alright. Looking forward to SummerSlam as the card is loaded.

AUGUST 14, 2014 FROM THE KEY ARENA IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Following the Smackdown opening video, the cameras come in to The Key Arena from Seattle, Washington. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield give the welcoming on commentary just three days away from Summerslam! Tonight, we will hear from the number one contender to the WWE Championship, Bray Wyatt. Also, Roman Reigns will be in the arena very shortly for the last time before he goes toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar this Sunday while we also get to have the opportunity to see Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio team up before they go up against Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe for the WWE Tag Team Championships as they face The Usos!
The theme music of Roman Reigns hits to a loud ovation with some boos mixed in. He makes his way down to the ring and takes a microphone from ringside, taking his time to take in the crowd's reaction. "This past week on Monday Night Raw... I got face to face with the man that I'm going to take on this Sunday at Summerslam... Brock Lesnar." As a big reaction comes for just the mention of Lesnar's name, Reigns says he has a lot of people still doubting him and he gets it, but he knows he also got a lot of people believing in him a lot more after he took it to Brock on Raw with a series of Superman Punches. "And you best believe I plan on bringing this fist to our match on Sunday and I will drive it in to the face of Brock over and over again until I feel satisfied... then I'm gonna break Brock in half by spearing the hell out of him." He moves on saying that he will then look over at Paul Heyman and make him realize he made one hell of a mistake by turning his back on him. Before Reigns has a chance to say anything more, he - and the entire WWE Universe - are caught off guard as Big Show's music hits!
For the first time in four months, 'The World's Largest Athlete' makes his way out from the back and down to the ring. He stares Reigns down while holding a microphone in his hand, staring at him intensely. "Roman Reigns... look at how far you've come... too bad that I, along with many of these people, don't think you stand a chance this Sunday against Brock Lesnar..." The crowd boos Show as he says that he doesn't mean to sound disrespectful, but if Brock could beat the likes of himself, he can't even begin to imagine what he is going to do to the likes of Reigns at Summerslam. Roman is quick to take exception to Show's words, telling him that with all due respect, he doesn't give a damn what he thinks! "As a matter of fact, Show, if you really don't believe I've got what it takes... maybe I'll go ahead and make an example out of you." Show at first laughs at the idea before getting serious, telling Reigns that he is on and he'll be more than happy to teach him a lesson or two later on tonight. Show and Reigns stare down for a moment before Show exits the ring, making his way towards the back once again.
Back from the commercial break, Seth Rollins has come down to ringside to join commentary for the next match featuring his opponent for Sunday at Summerslam. "Well, Seth," Cole says. "I do have to ask you - do you feel, I dunno, maybe nervous about your match with AJ Styles at Summerslam? I mean, you could lose your Money in the Bank Briefcase!" Rollins scoffs and tells Cole he isn't worried one bit, because he knows he can and will beat AJ Styles. "By the way, will one of you tell me why in the hell Jack Swagger is getting another chance to face AJ Styles?" He says while shaking his head in disbelief. "He failed miserably the last time he did! I remember it because I was the one who picked him to face him then in the first place!" Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles vs Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter) in a Non-Title Match: The match begins, Styles dominating Swagger quickly by sending him to the mat over and over again. He gets to his feet and takes his time to look to Rollins, whom yells at him while talking trash. It draws enough of a distraction to allow Swagger to target the ankle, making it a target throughout the match. After hitting a hard clothesline, Swagger pounds on his chest and runs across to the other side of the ring and comes back for the Swagger Bomb! Styles moves out of the way, however, and gets back to his feet slowly. He ducks a big boot and, despite the bad ankle, delivers the Pele Kick which rocks Swagger through the ropes and out to the apron. He tries to suplex Styles to the outside, only for the Intercontinental Champion to yank him back in with a DDT! Styles crawls right out to the apron himself and after a short stare down with his rival on commentary, he goes off the top rope with a Spiral Tap! He hooks the legs for the pin. Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles def. Jack Swagger in 5:49.
Before Styles can even get to his feet, Rollins hits the ring and starts to stomp away at him. He drags AJ back to his feet and drills him with repeated shots to the face, running off the ropes on the other side of the ring only to come back and be flipped over the ropes and to the floor! Seth flails around on the floor as Styles backs to the middle of the ring with the crowd behind him. The referee brings him his Intercontinental Championship belt and hands it over, Styles slowly raising it up high over his head as Rollins staggers back on to his feet, seething in anger. Styles smiles and says that he will be keeping his title and getting Money in the Bank too on Sunday!
Backstage following the break, Seth Rollins is storming around in the backstage area and he comes in to the office of General Manager Eric Bischoff. "What are you gonna do about all this, Eric!?" Shouts 'Mr. Money in the Bank', getting a shrug in return. Bischoff doesn't know what he is talking about. "I'm sick and tired of AJ Styles making me look bad... I want to know what your plan is to do about it!" After a short stare down between the 'business partners', Bischoff tells Rollins that he expects him to take care of it on Sunday at Summerslam. Rollins looks baffled by the response, questioning what that is supposed to mean! "I'm not going to do anything, Seth... I've helped you out enough... I'm not going to do anything! but you know what? I have faith in you, Seth... And I guarantee you're going to walk out victorious on Sunday." He smiles, patting Rollins on the shoulder as he storms out of the office, clearly aggravated with Bischoff. Adrian Neville vs Fandango (w/Summer Rae): As soon as the bell rings, Fandango's crafty feet are shown up by Neville's, as he smacks him with rapid shots to the sides and legs. After a spinning kick to the gut, he hits a vicious snap suplex. Fandango doesn't even have a chance to get any offense in until Neville goes across the ring on his hands, getting hit with a leaping shot to the face by the legs of Fandango. Neville crawls to the ropes and gets beat down for a short while, only for Fandango to grow too confident. Summer is disgusted by him as he tries to get her in to it, Fandango turning around to a superkick! Neville wastes no time by going right to the top rope, hitting the Red Arrow to a pop from the crowd! He hooks the inside leg for the three. Adrian Neville def. Fandango in 3:01. Neville gets back on to his feet and raises his fingers to the sky in signature fashion. Meanwhile, Fandango rolls out of the ring at the feet of Summer Rae, whom just continues to have a look of disgust with her dance partner. Neville continues his celebration as he hopes after suffering his first loss to Seth Rollins on Raw, this will get him back on the right track.
The signature of The Wyatt Family hits upon the return, Bray Wyatt appearing from behind his lantern on the titantron. With a smile, he tells Seattle "we're here", with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan coming up behind him. The trio make their way down to the ring and after they settle in to the middle of it, the crowd is anxious for Wyatt's words as he remains quiet for a while. "Seventy two hours... CAN YOU FEEL IT!? CAN YOU FEEL THE DAY OF RECKONING FOR ONE BRYAN DANIELSON COMING!?" He laughs wildly and paces back and forth a bit, saying that he has waited a long time for this and once he gets his opportunity on Sunday, he is going to do what is right and that is put Bryan out of his misery and take what he deserves. "The thing is, man, Bryan is desperate... desperate to make you all believe that he is your hero! But he knows the truth and so do I... we know... we know he is a monster... and now... I'm going to rip that monster out from him. I'm going to free your guilty soul, Bryan... and take what is mine." Wyatt laughs wildly, spreading his arms out to the crowd. "I am the one who ended the streak! I destroyed The Undertaker! I destroyed his brother, I conquered all comers and became the King of the Ring! NOW I BECOME... Your long-awaited hero... Your WWE Champion." He keeps his evil laugh going, twirling his finger about as the crowd boos him saying that the sheep may boo him now, but soon they will realize that he is the one they should all be following, they will all come beckoning to him, begging on their hands and knees for his forgiveness! "It will all be okay soon, boys and girls... it will all be... just right... FOLLOW! THE BUZZARDS!" He drops to his knees, laughing once again as the signature of The Wyatt Family hits once again. Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio vs The Usos: The bell sounds, Alberto starting things off with Jey. The former World Champion takes Jey to the mat repeatedly and hits him with a sharp dropkick that causes Jey to have to regroup. He takes it to Del Rio, surprising him a bit. Quickly, The Usos start to get some momentum going as they make back and forth tags. They dominate Del Rio. After a superkick to Jimmy, however, Alberto makes the slow crawl towards his corner. Both men make the hot tag, Orton and Jey throwing hard shots at each other as they come in. 'The Viper' hits a snap scoop slam and gets all fired up, only to be caught completely off guard by Jimmy as he runs at him and takes him right over the ropes with a clothesline! Del Rio comes over but also gets tossed to the outside as well, The Uso brothers looking to one another. They nod and come off the ropes, returning with a double dive over the top rope! "Can the number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships recover!?" Cole questions, a commercial break coming in. After the time away, the match remains competitive and back and forth. After a superkick from Jey on Del Rio, he goes to the top rope for the splash. He ends up missing Del Rio, however, as he rolls out of the way! Alberto gets up and hits multiple clotheslines and kicks while getting a ton of momentum going. He goes for the Rolling Cross Armbar after a minute of domination, only for Jey to pull free and make the tag to his brother. Jimmy runs in to the ring, hitting leaping shots to the face over and over. He misses on a superkick and Del Rio hits off of the ropes, Orton making the blind tag. ADR comes right back to a superkick that hits, Jimmy going to the top rope. As he gets ready and leaps off, however, Orton charges in and connects with a mid-air RKO! The Key Arena goes wild as he hooks both legs for the one, two, three! Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio def. The Usos in 12:16. The Seattle fans cheer as Orton gets back on to his feet, spinning around still fired up over the exciting victory! Del Rio comes in to the ring and the two stare before giving a nod and a hand shake, getting another ovation from the fans. They each play up the crowd a bit as they look to be as successful Sunday as they were tonight and claim the WWE Tag Team Championships!
A promo video airs for the next upcoming WWE pay-per-view, Summerslam, with the official theme song, "GDFR" by Flo Rida ft. Sage the Gemini. For the twenty-seventh year in a row, WWE hosts the biggest party of the summer and for the sixth consecutive year, it takes place in L.A.! Summerslam takes place on August 17, 2014 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network! Rusev (w/Lana) vs R-Truth: The referee calls for the bell and Truth is hesitant at first with 'The Bulgarian Brute', eventually throwing fists only to get manhandled by the big man. Rusev shows no mercy, brutally beating Truth down in the corner. After a four count, however, Rusev backs off. He steps right up to a stiff shot to the face and Truth starts to get something going. He ends up sending him down to one knee and attempts the Axe Kick, only for Rusev to juke out of the way and catch Truth with a big leaping kick to the jaw as he turns around! After what is probably an unnecessary beat down in the corner, Rusev throws Truth down to the mat in the middle of the ring and stomps the lower back. He proceeds to apply The Accolade and not long after the hold is locked in, Truth finds himself with no place to go and no choice but to tap out. Rusev def. R-Truth in 2:44. Rusev continues to pull away at the hold, Lana soon coming in to the ring to get him to pull off. She holds a microphone in her hand and smiles to the crowd as they boo, breaking in to a 'USA' chant before she can even say anything. "Shut up..." She orders the crowd to even stronger jeers than before. She tells the WWE Universe that this Sunday, Rusev will make them all watch and cower in fear as he will destroy Kane and turn 'The Big Red Monster' in to rubble. Rusev is handed the microphone and he steps forward, breathing heavily. "Kane... I will crush you. I will crush you and crush the spirit of all these stupid Americans that cheer for you... you will be the perfect representation for all of them as you are broken and left with nothing!" He gives a sick smile and says he will continue his reign of terror, his dominance and nobody will stop him! He throws the microphone to the mat and spreads his arms out, pounding his chest with a roar as the Russian Flag comes down from above the ring, the fans booing the display that Rusev hopes to be able to display at Summerslam after he goes one-on-one with Kane.
Returning at ringside, Michael Cole an JBL once again give the reminder that we are just three days away from the biggest party of the summer - Summerslam! They proceed to run down the card. Bryan Danielson defends the WWE Championship against Bray Wyatt; John Cena faces off against Antonio Cesaro; Kevin Owens and CM Punk finally do battle in a No Holds Barred Match; Rusev takes on Kane; Sting is calling out The Undertaker; The Purge's Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe put the WWE Tag Team Championships up against Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio; A mixed tag team match for the United States and Diva's Championships as Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee defend against Wade Barrett and Paige; Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles puts his title on the line for Seth Rollins' Money in the Bank Briefcase; Cody Rhodes and Goldust - Brother vs Brother - takes place on the Summerslam Kickoff Show; And Roman Reigns faces Brock Lesnar. A playback from Monday Night Raw is shown of the confrontation between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar ahead of their battle set to take place Sunday at Summerslam. After the footage, we cut backstage to see Renee Young standing by with Roman Reigns himself. Young thanks him for his time and notes how we heard what he had to say earlier ahead of his match coming up this Sunday against Brock Lesnar, but he was interrupted by the returning Big Show. "So, my question for you, Roman, what do you think of this opportunity to face Big Show just three days before your match with Brock?" After remaining silent for a moment, Reigns says that he thinks that Big Show is making one hell of a mistake challenging him to a match here tonight. He says that this an opportunity to, once again, prove people wrong - including Big Show - before he really gets the job done this Sunday at Summerslam. "The thing is, Renee, I've had a long road to get where I've been and if Big Show doesn't think I got what it takes... I'll shut him up. We all know that Brock Lesnar doesn't think I got what it takes... and I'll shut him up too. I'll shut every single person that doesn't believe in me one way or another... because this is what I am made for. This is what I do, this is what I love and ain't nothing or nobody gonna stop me from getting to the top... and you can believe that." He heads off, his match with Big Show coming up next!
Roman Reigns vs Big Show: The bell rings, Reigns and Show staring each other down. They come up to the middle of the ring, Reigns looking up to 'The World's Largest Athlete'. Show has some words for Reigns and he hits off the ropes, coming back with a shoulder block that does not budge Show. Roman begins to throw fists but gets everything stopped as he is hit with a big boot to the face! Show displays his size and strength for a little while, toying with Reigns a bit. He laughs after hitting a smack to the chest in the corner, chucking Roman across the ring. "You ain't got what it takes, boy!" Show shouts, stepping up and being rattled with a big forearm to the face. Reigns keeps going off at Show and ends up going for the Superman Punch, only to be caught by the throat! Show lifts him for the Chokeslam but Reigns manages to push off, rocking Show enough with punches to send him up against the ropes. With all his might, Roman sends him over the ropes with a clothesline! With Reigns fired up, a commercial break comes in. After the break, Reigns keeps his momentum going. After getting Show in to the corner, he flies off the opposing corner and returns only to be caught and dumped over the ropes and to the floor! Show steps over the ropes and down to the floor, throwing Reigns back first in to the barricade. He follows up by tossing him back first in to the steel steps, Reigns ducking the Knockout Punch! Show smashes his fist in to the steel post and falls against the ring, Reigns charging away from him. He comes rushing right back with a leaping dropkick to the side of the face! Show drops to his knees and Reigns rolls in and out of the ring to break the official's count up. He lets Show up and gets in to the ring, hitting off the ropes. He comes rushing back with a baseball slide only to have his legs caught, Show trying to yank him out of the ring again. Reigns manages to kick him away, however, and crawl back across the ring. Angered, 'The World's Largest Athlete' comes back in to the ring and walks right in to a Superman Punch! He staggers a bit and Roman hits off the ropes, coming back with a second Superman Punch! He goes for the third, but Show yet again catches him by the throat and this time nails the Chokeslam! He hooks the leg, getting a very close two count! Show immediately gets back on to his feet and corners the referee, giving him an ugly stare as he yells at him over the count. He spins around and Reigns gets on to his hands and knees, Show closing his fist up. He waits and waits, Roman getting up and turning right to him. Show misses on the Knockout Punch, Reigns powering off the ropes and returning with a big time Spear! After being dazed for a moment, he covers Show for the three count. Roman Reigns def. Big Show in 13:24. The Seattle crowd cheers Reigns as he staggers back on to his feet, raising his fists up over his head. He collapses across the ropes and the commentary team goes through a series of replays from the match. After the replays, Reigns is struck from behind on the stage by Show right over the back with a heavy club! Show takes Roman back towards the ring and throws him in to the steel post! Reigns staggers towards the barricade and Show comes up to him, taking him by the throat. Roman throws a few headbutts, however, ducking a fist. Roman stumbles forward and he spins back around, giving out a loud roar to the crowd before charging back as fast he can with a Spear on Show right through the barricade! The arena goes wild for the spot as Reigns gets back on to his feet slowly, clutching a hold of himself. "Ladies and gentlemen, I think that Roman Reigns is ready for Brock Lesnar this Sunday!" Exclaims Michael Cole as Thursday Night Smackdown draws to a close, Reigns standing tall atop the announce table with his fists raised.

Just a quick reply this time round. First off appreciate the well wishes. I'll give a full reply to SummerSlam, really looking forward to SummerSlam it's been built well for the most part, Reigns/Lesnar is a little rushed but still.
Do think you' had goldust on your hands with your Cesaro,Reigns,Bryan story which later you could have involved the likes of Cena and Lesnar but you've clearly got other ideas so let's see how they play out...

- Starting off Smackdown with Roman Reigns I get it considering this Sunday he is in perhaps the fight of his life the biggest match in his career against The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and Reigns has his critics but he also has his believers too but honestly this Sunday I think Reigns is in for a beating
- Seeing Reigns being interrupted by the returning Big Show of all people I was surprised genuinely surprised because this was an unexpected and definitely unannounced return from Show the last time anyone has seen him was Extreme Rules where he lost to Rusev and now months later he's back and Big Show not being a believer of Reigns only can mean one thing, a match between Reigns and the returning Show, I can't wait
- AJ Styles the WWE Intercontinental Champion beating Swagger I mean when is the last time Swagger was ever relevant in this diary? I mean let's be honest when is the last time Swagger won a match? But as for Rollins trying to attack AJ post match only for AJ to turn it around and send Rollins packing that just proves Styles is ready for this Sunday, SummerSlam his first SummerSlam appearance as a member of WWE and not only is AJ's WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line but also Rollins' briefcase is also on the line, still can't wait because the stakes not only are they high in their match but also the stakes are raised it is all or nothing basically
- Seth Rollins is on his own this Sunday at SummerSlam, Bischoff can't help him because if he does then Bischoff runs the risk of being fired so he isn't going to put his job on the line to help Rollins but I can see Bischoff sending someone else to help Rollins someone else will intervene this Sunday guaranteed
- Neville I would say he bounced back after receiving his first loss in WWE at the hands of Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins, Neville beat Fandango so I would say Neville's push continues but Neville I can see him either in contention for the WWE United States Championship or the WWE Intercontinental Championship soon
- The final warning given by Bray Wyatt to the WWE Champion Danielson, I just hope Danielson was watching that because that is what he has to deal with this Sunday at SummerSlam, Wyatt is not like all the other opponents that Danielson has faced, facing Wyatt is like facing no one on this Earth
- Del Rio and Orton actually make a great team not bad for their first match together as a tag team beating The Usos who are former WWE Tag Team Champions but will that be enough come Sunday? Because they have to face the WWE Tag Team Champions Zayn and Crowe of The Purge and I bet that somewhere they were watching this and they are taking notes but still not bad for former enemies but they have such big egoes so I wonder who will cost who the match?
- Rusev wins yet another match to stay undefeated beating R Truth to keep his undefeated streak in tact, Rusev proving that he may in fact not be afraid of Kane after all especially if he keeps putting on these dominant displays in his matches and that is what Kane has to deal with this Sunday and Kane rarely ever taps out if at all but will he tap out to Rusev? Or will he pass out in The Accolade?
- And in the main event Reigns beats Show, perfect opponent for him as it really tests Reigns given that on Sunday at SummerSlam he has Lesnar but seeing Show attack Reigns post match not only turns Big Show heel but personally Show I feel he is much better suited as a heel anyways rather than as a babyface but still Reigns turning this attack from Show around and hitting Show with a Spear right through the barricade, now Show if he isn't a believer now he will be soon

August 17, 2014 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA
"Live on the WWE Network ladies and gentlemen, this is the Summerslam Kickoff Show!" Says Renee Young coming in to the Staples Center. "We have one heck of a night ahead of us but we start things off here in Los Angeles with the Kickoff Show and joining me tonight is Booker T, Alex Riley and our special guest analyst tonight, someone very familiar with Hollywood, The Miz!" He is met with heavy boos from the WWE Universe and he takes exception to it, growing a scowl across his face. Booker takes a jab at him and says that he certainly isn't getting a heroes welcome, Miz telling the legend to shut up because he is not just a WWE Superstar, he is a Hollywood Superstar too!"Guys, we have a lot to get to but I want to start off big." Renee says, bringing up the battle set to take place between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. She goes back to the night after Battleground: King of the Ring where it appeared Paul Heyman had signed on Reigns versus Antonio Cesaro, only to turn his back on Reigns and sick 'The Beast Incarnate' on him. Renee looks to the group for their thoughts and predictions on who is going to get the win here tonight. "You know, I've known both of these dudes for a long time and they both some bad dudes..." Booker says with a laugh. "And while I think Roman Reigns is going to have a good showing, I can't pick against Brock Lesnar." Riley disagrees and says that while he knows how dangerous Lesnar is, what he saw last Monday on Raw sold him on Roman Reigns so he is going with him. Miz scoffs, saying it doesn't really matter to him. He says if he really has to pick somebody, he is going to pick Brock Lesnar because he thinks Roman Reigns can't do anything without Paul Heyman.Moving forward, Renee brings up the Intercontinental Championship versus Money in the Bank Briefcase match between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins. Booker says that Rollins is a desperate guy already and with his desire to claim back the Intercontinental Championship that he held for 350 days, but it won't be enough. "I have to disagree with Booker." Says Riley. "Seth Rollins, like him or not, has a lot on the line here as he has a guaranteed world title shot in that briefcase and I don't think he is going to let that slip away from him." Finally, Miz says that he has some history with both men, noting how he is the guy Rollins beat to have his initial long run as Intercontinental Champion. He says that he may a bit bitter, but he truly believes he could have had that 350 day run as champion if it weren't for Seth Rollins so he is going to go with AJ Styles here tonight.Next up is CM Punk and Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match, a match months in the making. "The night after WrestleMania we saw the debut of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe - The Purge - and they targeted and assaulted CM Punk." After months of missing action, Punk made his return at Money in the Bank and came after Owens." Some footage is shown from Punk's return and we come back in to the arena, where Booker says he sees the fire in the eyes of Punk and he sees the frustration in Owens' for not putting Punk away the first time, so he is going with Punk to pull off the win tonight. Riley agrees with Booker, saying it is about time somebody got to Owens! The Miz crosses his arms, shaking his head with a laugh. "Have you guys not seen what Kevin Owens is capable of? That man is the most destructive force in the WWE today! Aside from... yours truly, of course. But, nonetheless, I am going with Kevin Owens to win the No Holds Barred Match tonight!"Renee says before they go any further with the Kickoff Show, we have a special guest with Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge! He is standing by with Paul Heyman and thanks him for taking some time to be his guest. Heyman brushes it off and tells him to just get on with the questions. "Well, Mr. Heyman, the first question we have for you is: How confident are you that both of your clients, Brock Lesnar and Antonio Cesaro, will walk out victorious tonight?" Heyman asks in return if that is a serious question, seeming amused by it. He demands Phillips move on to the next question and he stumbles over his words a bit before doing so. Heyman stops him and says that he can do this on his own. "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... my name is Paul Heyman." He smiles and looks to the camera himself, waving his hands for Phillips to move away. "Allow me to tell you all something and allow me to make it loud and clear... tonight, you will be witnesses to the vicious, careless and ferocious beatings of both Roman Reigns and John Cena at the hands of my clients Antonio Cesaro and BRRRRRRRRRRRROCK! LESSSSSSSSSNAR!" He places his hands over his chest and has a fake look of compassion across his face, saying that all of the children in the crowd and those watching at home will have tears in their eyes and ask their parents 'why, why would they do that?' He snickers and stuffs his hands in to his suit pockets. "Because they are Paul Heyman Guys... and because they can. This isn't a promise, people, this is a spoiler... tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Antonio Cesaro, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman walk out victorious." He shrugs his shoulders with a smile and walks away, Phillips coming back in slowly, thanking Heyman for his time.Back in the arena, we go to ringside where Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield give their welcoming here on the Kickoff Show! "Before we get things underway, we are getting things underway." Cole says with a laugh, saying that we have a match upcoming and it has been building for a while and it got very personal this past Monday. We turn to a replay of where Cody Rhodes would come down to the ring before calling his brother, Goldust, and telling him that he felt he was carrying the whole load of their team and now he wants to give his father "a son he can finally be proud of". He would proceed to beat down his brother after announcing they would face here tonight.Singles Match Cody Rhodes vs GoldustThe bell rings, Rhodes licking his lips with a determined look across his face. Goldust steps forward and puts his hands out, telling Cody it doesn't have to be like this. Rhodes steps forward slowly, his hands on his sides while looking down at the mat. "You're right..." Rhodes says, looking back up at his brother. Goldust offers a hug and Cody accepts, only to pull back and kick him right in the gut! The crowd boos immediately and sickeningly, Cody laughs about it. He drags his brother back to his feet and tosses him out of the ring, going right after him in order to kick him in the face as soon as he starts to get up! Rhodes forces him back on to his feet and slams his face off the announce table a few times, looking to the announce team. Cole tries to reason with him, but Rhodes snaps and tells him to mind his own business! He throws Goldust in to the ring apron and then back in to the ring, going after him with a pin attempt that results in a two count. "Oh, brother... big, big mistake..." Cody says as he gets to his feet again, dragging Goldust up slowly. He pushes him in to the corner and runs forward, getting blasted with an elbow to the face! Goldust rocks his brother to the mat with a clothesline and the crowd pops for him, even though he seems to be distraught after doing it. He puts his hands on his heads and apologizes repeatedly as Rhodes gets back on to his feet, Goldust continuing to console him. Cody doesn't care, however, and smacks him right across the face! An 'ooh' comes from the Los Angeles crowd as Goldust looks down to the mat, being screamed at by his brother. He is called worthless, pathetic and an embarrassment to The Rhodes Family. Finally, 'The Bizarre One' snaps and levels Rhodes with shot after shot after shot to the face! He hits off the ropes and comes roaring back with a bulldog. They both get back up and after rattling Cody in to the corner, Goldust pulls a page out of his father's book with a bionic elbow! Rhodes collapses to the mat and the pin is attempted, only for a count of two to come of it. Goldust puts his hands over his head again and slaps the mat, getting up to his feet. He meets his brother with repeated chops to the chest after he gets up, rattling him up against the ropes. He whips him across the ring and catches him with an atomic drop on the comeback, hitting off the ropes only to miss a clothesline and be caught with an absolutely brutal Disaster Kick! The L.A. crowd boos as Rhodes slowly gets on to his feet again, growing another sick smile across his face. He drags Goldust on to his knees and slowly, but viciously, blasts him with fists to the forehead. The paint of his brother runs on to his white hand tape, Cody throwing him down in to the mat. After looking around the arena, Rhodes lets his brother rise and lifts him on to his shoulders - charging forward to the middle of the ring with a muscle buster that leaves his brother motionless! Rhodes mounts over his brother and cups the back of his head, blasting him with fist after fist after fist to the face. "THIS IS WHAT YOU DESERVE, BROTHER! THIS IS WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!" He lets up after a four count by referee Darrick Moore. Cody forces Goldust up on to his feet, slowly pulling him in to position for Cross Rhodes. After looking around the Staples Center, Cody drops his brother with it. He slowly hooks the legs for the one, two, three.Winners of the match via pinfall, Cody Rhodes (7:14) While the crowd boos, everyone also seems to be relatively stunned by the brutality of Cody on his brother. He gets on to his feet and slowly has his arm raised. He keeps his fist in the air as the facepaint of Goldust on the tape around his hand and wrist is clear as day, while it is mostly wiped away from his brother's face. "Wow..." Jerry Lawler mutters, saying he is at a loss for words after that. Cody slowly exits the ring as Goldust barely moves.A promo video airs for programming coming soon only to the WWE Network.Returning up with the Summerslam Kickoff team, Renee Young simply says "wow" over what just went down. She says that we may have seen The Rhodes Family fall apart right before our very eyes. Booker puts his hands up and says that he has known that family a long time, he teamed with Goldust for a while and he has known Cody since he was a little kid. "That was just... really, really uncomfortable to watch. Somebody needs to get through the head of that boy... because if he does that to his brother, what is he gonna do to somebody that isn't family?" Riley agrees, saying that was uncomfortable to watch and it certainly puts Cody Rhodes on the map once again and this time, he seems pretty damn dangerous. The Miz nods and says that he was really surprised by that as well and it may have been the last we've seen of - while mocking his motions and voice - Goldust.Renee moves on and says that we have talked about a lot tonight on the Summerslam Kickoff but before we get to the show, she wants to discuss the WWE Championship match between Bryan Danielson and Bray Wyatt. "Guys, this has become something personal as Bray Wyatt claims that he is going to relieve the pressure off the shoulders of Bryan, claiming that he is a liar to the WWE Universe, that he is not the hero that he portrays and that his day of reckoning is coming... what are your guys' thoughts going in to this?" Booker says that he has been a firm believer in Bryan and has been since day one and even though he understands how much of a threat Bray Wyatt is, he is still going with the 'Yes!' movement! Riley goes forward to say while he has also been a believer in Bryan, he really does think his day of reckoning is tonight. "We all know who should be WWE Champion right now..." Miz says with a smile. "But between the two of these guys? Bray Wyatt is going to destroy Bryan Danielson."Renee thanks the panel for the time tonight on the Summerslam Kickoff, they will be back later during the event. "But right now, ladies and gentlemen, we hope you're ready because it is time to get things underway live on the WWE Network... it is indeed time for Summerslam!" ||| WWE SUMMERSLAM 2014 ||| LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW AND THE WWE NETWORK ||| WWE SUMMERSLAM 2014 |||
A promo video begins to air, a voice over stating how for over twenty five years the biggest event of the summer has taken place at the WWE: Summerslam. Tonight is no different, as live in Los Angeles the stars will indeed come out. The biggest prizes will be fought for, whether it be pride, respect or championship gold... The official theme song for the big event, "GDFR" by Flo Rida ft. Sage the Gemini, comes in to the video which starts off with Roman Reigns telling Paul Heyman the night after Battleground: King of the Ring how glad he was that he was getting his match with fellow client of Heyman, Antonio Cesaro. However, Heyman would turn his back on Reigns - calling him a disappointment, a failure and a let down before sicking 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar on him. "You're not the 'new next big thing'... you're just Brock Lesnar's bitch." Would be the words out of the mouth of Lesnar himself. Reigns, weeks later, would give his signature quote of: "I plan on bringing this fist to our match on Sunday and I will drive it in to the face of Brock over and over again until I feel satisfied... then I'm gonna break Brock in half by spearing the hell out of him." The video moves forth to CM Punk and Kevin Owens, with the latter having taken Punk out the night after WrestleMania along with his fellow Purge stable members, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe. Punk would make his unexpected return at Money in the Bank and since then, the two have been bitter rivals dying to destroy one another. "The thing is you don't know what I am capable of!" Punk shouted on the July 28th episode of Raw. "You wanted to try and take me out but it has to be real, real disappointing to know I haven't gone down yet..." Owens would have his own words, claiming that Punk would be making one hell of a mistake challenging him to a match. The video comes to a bit of a halt, the secondary theme song for Summerslam, "World on Fire" by Slash and Myles Kennedy, coming in as we reach the WWE Championship match between Bryan Danielson and Bray Wyatt. Both men had their crowning moments at WrestleMania XXX, as Bryan would for the first time beat Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion, while Wyatt would end the legendary streak of The Undertaker. In the weeks building up to their encounter, Bray would continue to vow Bryan's day of reckoning was coming while he would take the WWE Championship. Danielson, however, was pushed to the edge over Wyatt's threats and words, where he would even involve his wife, Brie Bella. "This has nothing to do with my wife, Bray! This is about you and me and the WWE Championship! I am not evil and I am not a monster but if I have to bring something from the deepest, darkest part of me to beat you at Summerslam... I will." As the video fades out slowly with Wyatt laughing in response to Danielson, the voice over kicks back in stating that now, WWE Network proudly presents... Summerslam!
The cameras pan inside of the Staples Center from Los Angeles, California as the rapid pyros hit all across the stage and around the titantron! The crowd goes wild as Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome everyone to the biggest event of the summer! "Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot on the line!" Says Cole, JBL continuing on by saying that we have not just championships on the line, but pride, respect and much, much more! Lawler throws in that there isn't one thing in particular he can say he is most excited for because he is excited for everything! The group sends things over to the Spanish commentary team of Carlos Cabrera and Marcelo Rodriguez before having things handed back over, Justin Roberts standing in the middle of the ring as the bell is sounded. "This opening contest is scheduled for one fall... and it is for both the Intercontinental Championship and the Money in the Bank Briefcase!" The crowd gives a pop that quickly turns to boos as Seth Rollins' music hits!
Money in the Bank Briefcase vs Intercontinental Championship 'Mr. Money in the Bank' Seth Rollins vs Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles
The bell is called for by referee Chad Patton as Rollins and Styles stare at each other from opposing corners. They slowly make their way out, circling around a bit. They finally come to the middle and meet each other, locking up. Rollins shoots around to the back fast and locks on to the waist, Styles breaking out and doing the same in return. Seth tries to get loose but AJ pushes him chest first in to the corner, flipping him to the mat for a pin only to get a count of two. Rollins snaps back up on to his feet and the two exchange punches, Patton having to split them up. Styles backs in to the corner and puts his hands up, Seth taking the opportunity to be cheap and leap past the official and drill Styles with a big forearm to the face! He puts the boots to him and drops him all the way to the mat before turning back around, throwing his hands up to the crowd with a cocky laugh. He pushes off the ropes and comes storming back, being flipped high up off the mat and over the ropes! He lands on the apron, however, catching a hold of the ropes. After he composes himself enough, he launches himself off the top rope only to be hit with a dropkick in mid-air! Seth flops to the mat and kicks around wildly as Styles slowly crawls to him and pushes him on to his back, hooking both legs up only to get another count of two. The two both get back up and Styles throws a series of long, dragged out chops to the chest that gets the crowd giving a 'Woo!' each and every time. Rollins quickly responds with a boot to the stomach, followed by a knee to the face that drops the Intercontinental Champ to the mat. Rollins runs across the ring and hits off the ropes, coming back with a Curb Stomp attempt only for Styles to push back out of the way just in time! He gets back on to his feet and ducks a clothesline, only to be blasted with a spinning kick to the gut followed immediately up by a DDT! Seth goes for the pin himself now, getting a two count of his own. "Oh, come on!" He shouts at Patton, slamming his hands in to the mat in frustration. He sits Styles up and applies a chinlock on him, wrenching away at it while shouting at him to tap out. Rollins keeps applying pressure and yanking away, only for AJ to keep fighting on to his feet and elbow his way free. He ducks a clothesline once out, however, delivering a big Pele Kick! Rollins flies in to and through the ropes, rolling right up against the barricade! Styles follows him out of the ring and, again, they exchange shots. Styles manages to gain the upper hand quickly, however, and he suplexes Rollins right across the barricade! Seth groans in pain and pulls himself off the barricade, being thrown back in to the ring. AJ gets on to the apron and goes to the top rope, leaping off at Seth with a crossbody! He hooks the legs after they hit the mat, garnering another near fall.
Styles slowly gets back to his feet, letting Rollins get up against the ropes. He walks up to him and whips him across the ring, charging right at Rollins and being caught and lifted on the shoulders - Seth charging to the corner and powerbombing Styles right in to the turnbuckles! AJ falls face first in to the mat so Seth rolls him over, hooking the legs as fast as he can. Patton gets very close to the count of three but Styles manages to kick out to the absolute disbelief of Rollins! He gets back up slowly, pulling at his hair. He forces Styles on to his feet again, setting him up for a second powerbomb. He hoists AJ up and charges to the corner only for Styles to push off and land on the second rope in the corner. Rollins hops up with him as fast as he can and they exchange fists. Rollins hooks the arm over his head for an apparent superplex only for Styles to stop it. Rollins keeps trying but AJ shoves him down to the mat, delivering the Spiral Tap! The crowd goes wild as he hooks the legs, surprisingly only getting a two count! AJ flops on to his back and places his face in his hands, looking around the arena. He uses the ropes to get back to his feet slowly, stepping back out to the apron. He seems to be ready to go for the Spiral Tap again only for Rollins to get back up, AJ jumping right over him. He turns right in to a superkick and Rollins goes for another pin, getting yet another count of two from the referee. Rollins gets back up and throws his hands up, saying that it is time to end this. He pulls Styles up by the neck and gets shoved back, his elbow being jerked back in to Patton's face! Seth comes charging back but gets dropped with a big time neckbreaker. Styles follows up by hitting a spin and Pele kick, going to the top rope once again for another Spiral Tap attempt! Before he can even leap off for it, however, two men wearing black clothing and black ski masks hop on to either sides of the ring near Style! They shove him down to the mat and come in after him, the bigger of the two delivering a huge powerbomb right in the middle of the ring! They drag Styles back to his feet and deliver a legsweep-uppercut combination, leaving Styles laid out on the mat. The two men hop out of the ring quickly, rushing their way through the crowd! "Who the hell were those guys!? WHO THE HELL WERE THEY!?" Screams Cole on commentary as Patton starts to stir just as Rollins gets back on to his feet, planting Styles in to the mat with the Curb Stomp! He hooks both legs up as quickly as he can, Patton coming over after noticing. He counts the three!
Winner of the match and NEW Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins (13:17)
The Los Angeles crowd is clearly unhappy as Rollins gets back on to his feet, falling back in to the ropes with a huge smile across his face. Patton brings him not just his Money in the Bank Briefcase but what is now his Intercontinental Championship belt. Rollins holds them both up high over his head to the crowd, being responded to with very strong boos! Cole leads on commentary the replay of Patton being knocked down before two masked men would come in to the ring and cost Styles the match, setting up the victory for Rollins. "You can't help but think these guys had something going on with Seth..." Cole says, with JBL trying to defend that may not be the case. As the two get in to an argument over it, Rollins backs up the ramp with his big smile still on his face and both items in his possession as Styles looks on from in the ring in frustration and disappointment.
The cameras cut backstage to Byron Saxton, whom introduces his guests at this time to be the WWE Tag Team Champions, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe of The Purge. He thanks them for their time and notes they are just moments away from their biggest title defense yet against two former world champions in Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio. Before Saxton even has the opportunity to ask a question, however, Zayn cuts him off. "So what if they're former world champions?" He asks, shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah, they've done a lot in their careers but you know what they haven't done, Byron? They haven't been a cohesive unit for more than a few weeks and even then... I don't think they can trust one another with the sizes of their egos. We're Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe! We're a team! We're The Purge!" Crowe steps forward and says that is exactly right and there is nobody, no matter what success they have, that is going to take the WWE Tag Team Championships away from them because they deserve it. "We have worked our asses off for years to get here and nobody is going to stop us! Not Randy Orton, not Alberto Del Rio, not CM Punk... nobody!" He smiles and pulls his title belt over his shoulder, excusing himself and saying that it is time to destroy, it is time to dominate and it is time to purge. He and Zayn head off, Saxton thanking them for their time.
WWE Tag Team Championships Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe(c) vs Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio
The match begins between Zayn and Orton, the two exchanging some words. They come up to one another and Zayn goes for a kick, getting caught and clotheslined to the mat with authority! Zayn pops back up but gets met with stiff kick after kick and punch after punch, being rocked all the way in to the corner. Orton whips him all the way to the other side of the ring and storms at him, only to eat a boot to the face. He dropkicks 'The Viper' straight in to his corner, pounding away at him before tagging in Crowe. He comes in and puts the boots to him, tagging Sami back in very quickly. They go through the process of working well together by tagging in and out repeatedly to keep the beat down on Orton going. Finally, Crowe goes for his signature pendulum splash only to have Orton roll out of the way! He shoots back up and as soon as Solomon turns around, plants him with the RKO right in the middle of the ring! The building goes wild as Orton hooks both legs up, Zayn diving in and breaking it up just in the nick of time! Randy gets back on to his feet with a grin, trying to charge to Zayn only to be held back by the referee, Rod Zapata. Orton slowly turns back to Crowe as he crawls to the ropes, charging up to him with a kick to the side. He makes the tag to Del Rio and he steps in, hitting a few kicks of his own. Just as the champions had done to Orton moments ago, they make the frequent tags to stomp away at Crowe in the corner. Del Rio drapes his arm across the middle rope and stomps in to it repeatedly before dragging him to the middle of the ring, dropping a knee on it. He goes for a pin, getting a two count off it. Immediately, Alberto goes for the arm again and refuses to let up on it as he drives a knee in to the crease. Crowe yells out in pain as he sits up, having a chinlock put on him. Alberto works him back down to the mat and tags Orton back in, whom takes his time to step over to Zayn and put a hand in his face! He turns back to Crowe but gets leveled from behind by Zayn with a club to the back! Del Rio runs up and starts to exchange fists with Sami, the two spilling to the outside together. Crowe gets back on to his feet and he shovels an elbow up in to the gut, drilling elbows to the head before coming off the ropes with a big bicycle kick that drops Orton! He hooks the legs, getting another near fall in the match from Zapata. Crowe sits up in disbelief and shakes his head, pulling his wild hair out of it's place. He mounts on top of Orton and fires away with shots to the head before dragging him on to his feet again, tossing him in to the corner only to run right in to his grasp, Orton shaking his head as he spins out of the corner and delivers a snap scoop slam! He gets right back up and breaths heavily, throwing his hands up and down. "Come on, get up! GET UP YOU IDIOT!" He shouts, kicking Crowe right in the gut as he does. He chucks him through the ropes and hooks the head, seeming poised to hit the rope hung DDT. He is blindsided, however, by Zayn coming in to the ring and dropping him with a leg lariat! Orton rolls out of the ring but stays on his feet running over to Crowe and sweeping his legs out from underneath him to send him crashing down on to the apron and down to the floor! Del Rio runs at Zayn for a clothesline inside the ring but it is ducked by the champion, sending Del Rio crashing over the ropes in to Orton. As the two stagger back on to their feet, Zayn comes rushing from across the ring with a flip on to both of them! All four remain crashed out on the floor for a short while before Crowe gets back up with help from Zayn, being rolled back in to the ring. Zapata gets up to a count of eight but Orton makes it back in just in time, Crowe running up to him in the corner for a corner clothesline only for it to be avoided and Orton to hit him with a backbreaker! Sami rolls out of the ring and Orton follows, being surprised as Zayn comes leaping between the turnbuckles to hit him with a tornado DDT! The crowd pops for the spot as Del Rio comes rushing up to Sami, chucking him back first in to the barricade. They trade fists and Crowe brings Orton back in to the ring, hitting him with the Pendulum Splash! As soon as Zapata's hand is about to hit the mat for three, Del Rio pulls Crowe's legs and gets him off Orton from the outside! Zayn runs up and hits a big sweeping kick to the face, rolling back in to the ring between the middle and bottom rope. He and Crowe look to each other and yank Orton up, pulling him on to their shoulders for a double powerbomb in to the corner! 'The Apex Predator' is completely dazed and soon meets his maker as Crowe hits him with a clothesline, followed by Zayn's Helluva Kick! Solomon hooks the outside leg for the three count.
Winners of the match and still WWE Tag Team Champions, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe (9:15)
The Staples Center gives a mixed reaction, although a lot of strong boos in the mix. The duo gets to their feet and stare to each other with grins across their faces, placing their foreheads together with fired up looks across their faces. Rod Zapata hands over their title belts and they yank them away, raising them up high to the crowd. They also go to opposing corners and show the gold off to the crowd, Zayn patting his with a yell as Del Rio remains laid out on the outside with Orton cringing on the mat.
We head backstage to see CM Punk wrapping his wrists and hands up to a big ovation from the WWE Universe, only for that cheering to simmer down as Seth Rollins comes walking down the hallways hooting and hollering. "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?" He shouts with a laugh as he pours champagne on his own head. He stops in his tracks in front of Punk and puts the Intercontinental Championship over his shoulder, the Money in the Bank Briefcase up in Punk's face. 'The Straight Edge Superstar' rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "Can I help you, intoxicated moron?" He questions to a laugh from the crowd in the background. Rollins gives a sarcastic laugh in return and says that the only thing he is drunk on is victory! He pats Punk on the shoulder and says that he should try something like that sometime. He stops himself and says that now that he thinks about it, he almost had Money in the Bank won before he went on to win it. The fans give a big 'ooh' from inside the arena and Punk snickers, saying that if it weren't for Eric Bischoff and whatever two jackasses helped him out earlier, he wouldn't be anywhere. "You'd still be nothing more than a young guy with a lot of talent with nothing more to do than bitch and bitch and bitch... oh, did I mention bitch?" Rollins tells Punk to laugh it up but when he becomes the Intercontinental and WWE Champion one day to come see him and ask him for a title shot, because he would be more than happy to give him the opportunity to be embarrassed by 'The Undisputed Future'. He adjusts his title and heads off, Punk just laughing at him as he goes.
Singles Match Rusev with Lana vs Kane
Ryan Tran calls for the bell and the two stare down, Rusev putting up his hands his signature stance. He steps forward to Kane and tries to throw a strike, only for Kane to avoid it and rock him with a stiff uppercut to the chin. He powers through Rusev with fists, hitting him above and below until he falls back in to the corner, taking the opportunity to mush his face with a big boot. Rusev is dazed a bit and comes out of the corner, being lifted off the mat and dropped with a sidewalk slam! The crowd is a bit surprised by the feat of strength from Kane as Rusev obviously doesn't get taken off the mat too easily, which is clear as Kane goes for the pin only to get a short count of two. 'The Big Red Monster' gets back up and adjusts his elbow pad, yanking Rusev up by the hair. After a headbutt, he runs off the ropes but comes back to a huge leaping kick to the face! He lets out a big roar to the booing crowd and stomps the lower back of Kane, trying to apply the Accolade only for Kane to fight his way on to his knees and get Rusev to back off. He gets back to his feet but turns right in to a spinning kick to the gut, followed by one to the ribs. Rusev grabs a hold of the shoulders and hits a few headbutts, running off the ropes and coming back by leaping off the mat with a spinning kick to the face! He goes for a pin only to have Kane power out at a count of two. Frustrated, 'The Bulgarian Brute' gets back up and brings Kane with him, drilling him with a few more headbutts. He hits off the ropes and comes back for another big leaping kick only to have Kane duck it and grab him by the throat! The crowd grows a bit anxious as Rusev gasps for air, but he manages to get free with a low kick to the knee. As Kane drops to a knee, he smashes him with another kick to the face and goes for another pin, getting yet another count of two. Rusev staggers back on to his feet and seems rather frustrated, yanking Kane up. He shoves him in to the corner and hits a couple of shots to the face while yelling at him in his language. He backs off to the other side of the ring and throws his arms up, giving a big yell to the crowd. He charges across the ring at full force and spins for a hip smash only to have Kane move out of the way! Rusev cries out in pain as he comes out of the corner, walking right in to a big boot! Kane hits him with another one as he gets to his feet and then a big running DDT! He gets on to his feet and runs his hand across his throat in a slit throat motion, raising his hand up high! The crowd approves as Rusev gets on to his feet slowly, seeming in a daze from the DDT still. He turns and walks in to Kane's clasp, being lifted off the mat and, for the first time since these two have had problems, hit with the Chokeslam! Kane drops to his knees and hooks both legs up in what ends up being an extremely close two count! Kane slowly rolls off in disbelief, looking up to the ceiling. After being down for a little while, he sits up to a cheer! He gets up and adjusts his glove, raising it up for another Chokeslam! Rusev gets up and turns in to the grasp once again, only to break free with a couple of elbows to the head. He ducks a clothesline and delivers a big Samoan drop! Rusev pushes his hands in to the mat and gets back up fast, hitting Kane with a big side kick as he starts to get up again - taking the opportunity to slam his foot in to the lower back and lock on The Accolade! He wrenches away at the hold while yelling at the booing fans, refusing to let up on it. Kane tries to find a way out of the hold and even starts to lift Rusev a bit, only to lose that battle and collapse back down. 'The Big Red Machine' starts to fade away and eventually does, the referee raising his arm up three times - having it drop all three times.
Winner of the match via submission, Rusev (6:41)
Rusev keeps pulling away at the hold even after the bell rings. "I TOLD YOU ALL!" He screams. "I TOLD YOU ALL! I TOLD YOU, KANE! I TOLD YOU! I CRUSH YOU!" He finally throws him down to the mat after Lana gets in to the ring and puts her hand on his arm, 'The Bulgarian Brute' looking all around the arena with his eyes widened. He steps forward to the ropes and pounds on his chest repeatedly, spreading his arms out as the Russian Flag comes down over the ring to ginormous boos from the Staples Center. "Who in the world is going to stop this man...?" Cole questions from commentary, as JBL says he doesn't know but somebody need stop him from having the flag come down every week!

John Cena vs Antonio Cesaro with Paul Heyman
The bell rings, Darrick Moore the official for the contest. Cesaro smiles as Cena steps up to the middle of the ring and extends his hand, 'The Swiss Superman' smacking it away! Cena smiles right back and says that he gave him a chance and backs off, the two circling around before locking up in the middle of the ring. Cena hooks the waist and Cesaro shows off his freakish strength as he takes the arm and flips John right over his shoulders and to the mat! Cena gets up and is rocked with a big uppercut, Cesaro getting him in to the corner. He begins an uppercut barrage and backs off at the count of four from the official, laughing at Cena as he coughs a bit from the attack. He steps right back up and hits a hard kick to the gut, followed by a punch to the face. He goes back and forth with the two and finishes off with an uppercut that drops Cena in to a sitting position. Cesaro spins out of the corner and looks around to the crowd with his hands up with a smile, getting a solid pop from the fans. He takes a bow and runs up to Cena, whom avoids the uppercut and starts to fire away with shots of his own to the face and mid-section! He hoists Cesaro on to the second rope and climbs up with him, hitting a few more punches to the head before hooking a hold of him. He tries to lift Cesaro for a superplex but Antonio keeps himself still, lifting Cena up high! He stalls with him up high above the ring before tossing him chest first in to the mat below! He lets Cena roll over before leaping off with a double foot stomp! He goes for the pin but gets just a count of two out of it. Cesaro staggers back up slowly and drags Cena up by the neck, throwing a few more uppercuts before flying off the ropes. He comes back with a leap but gets caught in the arms of Cena, whom shakes his head and hoists him over his shoulder to deliver a big slam! He hits off the ropes and comes roaring back with a shoulder block, followed by a second bigger one. He raises his hand up as he gets to his feet, setting up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Heyman gets on to the apron, however, yelling at the official. "You're going to let him do that!? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" He shreiks, Cena walking over and taking Heyman by the tie. The fans give a cheer as he puts his fist up towards Heyman, whom begs and pleads for Cena to not hurt him. He doesn't even have the chance to give a punch as Cesaro comes up from behind and hooks the waist, delivering a bridging German suplex that leads to another count of two. Cesaro takes the opportunity to apply a chinlock but doesn't keep Cena down long, pushing him chest first in to the corner repeatedly after getting him on to his feet. He lets off and lets Cena turn back around before kicking him in the gut, cranking his neck for the Neutralizer! John flips him over his shoulders before he can even lock in the arm though and stumbles across the ring, charging back with a big time clothesline as Cesaro gets on to his feet! John gets all fired up as he follows up with a spinout slam, setting up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle again. Instead of giving the "You can't see me!" to Cesaro, however, he turns to Heyman and does it to him. He hits off the ropes and returns with the fist drop, popping back up with his hands in motion, ready for his opponent to get up. He does and walks right in to Cena's grasp, being raised for the Attitude Adjustment! Antonio kicks his legs wildly and manages to slip free in front of Cena with a hook of the head, delivering multiple knee lifts to the chest. He goes for the legs and flips him down to the mat, the crowd roaring as he seems poised for the Cesaro Swing. Cena, however, rolls through and slams him face first in to the mat, locking on the STF! He yells out for Cesaro to tap almost immediately, wrenching back and forth on the hold. Cesaro reaches out to the ropes and Heyman runs over in front of him, encouraging him. "Come on, Antonio! Don't tap! DON'T YOU TAP!" He screams, putting his hands on his head. Cesaro finally digs his elbows in to the mat enough to hug the bottom rope, Cena having to roll off in exhaustion.
The crowd gets loud with back and forth chants of "Let's go Cena!" and "Cena sucks!" as they always do, Cena rolling all the way across the ring in order to get on to his feet via the ropes. He walks over to Cesaro, whom gets up and ducks down to the legs and flip him over the ropes and to the floor! Cesaro rolls out and follows, tossing Cena face first in to the steel steps! He drags him back up and lifts him up, dropping him gut first across the steps. Cesaro laughs as he does it again, this time across the edge of the announce table! Cena struggles back in to the ring and Antonio cranks his neck, throwing his hands out - indicating he is going to end it. He cranks his neck again and sets Cena up for the Neutralizer, dropping him right in the middle of the ring with it! Cesaro rolls him over slowly and hooks the leg with confidence, Cena powering out just in time! Antonio sits up and can't believe it, looking to Moore and complaining about the count. He grows frustrated and kicks the turnbuckle repeatedly, storming back over to Cena. He yanks him up and sets up for another Neutralizer very quickly, only to have Cena push him back and catch him on his shoulders - dropping him with the Attitude Adjustment! He hooks the outside leg as fast as he can, Cesaro showing his will to kick out just before the three! Cena slaps the mat and falls on to his side, driving his fist in to it a few times. He pushes himself up slowly and he brings Cesaro up, hitting a long drawn out punch to a mixed reaction. Cesaro sends an uppercut back to a mixed reaction himself, the two beginning to go back and forth with no clear distinction in the crowd. Cesaro gains the upper hand and ends up sending Cena in to the corner, running across the ring before coming back with a brutal uppercut! He runs across the ring and does it again! He does it three more times before taking the legs for the Cesaro Swing, letting out a yell before pulling Cena up! He spins him around fourteen times before letting him go, Cena rolling out to the apron. Cesaro reaches through and forces him up, looking to the corner. He hooks a hold of the head of Cena and goes over to the corner, climbing on to the second rope. He uses all of his might to yank Cena up and his unreal strength is displayed again as he drags John all the way back over the ropes! He doesn't have the chance to send him down, however, as Cena manages to slip free at the last moment. Cesaro spins around and leaps off, John catching him on his shoulders and planting him with the AA right in the middle of the ring! A huge mixed reaction comes from the crowd again as Cena hooks both legs for the pinfall!
Winner of the match via pinfall, John Cena (14:01)
The Staples Center gives a strong reaction, with some very heavy boos involved. Cena gets back on to his feet and leans over, his hands on his knees. Moore raises his arm up as the winner and he gives a nod, saluting to the crowd. The replay of the finish of the match is shown and afterward, Cesaro starts to get on to his feet in the corner. Cena waits for him with his hands on his hips, giving a clap as Antonio turns back around to him with a frustrated look across his face. "You had my respect already, Antonio..." Cena says as he steps forward to the middle of the ring, putting his hand out again. "You still got it... now shake my hand, man. Come on." He keeps the hand out as his music dies down, Cesaro looking over to Heyman on the outside, whom shrugs his shoulders as he doesn't know whether to trust Cena or not. Cesaro slowly steps forward with his hands on his hips and he runs his hands over his head, nodding before putting his hand out. He yanks it away from Cena, however, growing a slick grin across his face. "You can't see me, John!" He says with a laugh as he waves his hand in front of his face, brushing shoulders with Cena as he walks by. He exits the ring and shouts that he had that match won as Cena just shakes his head in response from in the ring, his music hitting once again as he raises his hands up in signature taunt to the WWE Universe as he is victorious here tonight!
A promo video airs for programming coming soon only to the WWE Network. After the video, we head up to the Summerslam Kickoff Panel with Renee Young, Booker T, Alex Riley and The Miz. Renee introduces everyone and says that we have had one heck of a night thus far but we obviously still have plenty more to come. "But before Summerslam got under way, we had the Summerslam Kickoff Show and we had a very personal encounter between two brothers... Cody Rhodes and Goldust." They go back to the footage where Goldust would try and reason with Cody before the match really got under way, only for Rhodes to show no compassion or mercy and ruthlessly beat his brother down throughout the match. By the time it was over, he had the facepaint of Goldust all over his wrist and hand tape and he put it all away with the Cross Rhodes. "It was pretty uncomfortable for all of us to watch, guys, but aside from that what has been the biggest thing that has happened thus far to you?" She questions, Booker saying he was surprised but doesn't think he should of been by what happened in the match between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. He says that he should've seen something like that coming from Seth and says he knew something was fishy about Eric Bischoff saying he wasn't going to help his buddy out! Riley says he has to go with Antonio Cesaro not showing up against John Cena. He says that while he put up a hell of a fight, he didn't get the job done! "I would have gotten the job done..." Says Miz, only for it to not be The Miz! In his place sits Damien Sandow and the rest of the panel is taken off guard, Renee asking what he is doing there! "Well, Miz had somebody screw up his sandwich so... his stunt double took over." Renee is baffled and asks if that is why he left The Commonwealth, to be the stunt double of The Miz? Before he has a chance to respond, however, Miz comes back on to the scene and tells "Mizdow" to move aside as he is back with his sandwich. He takes a bite of it and Booker tries to get more information out of them, asking about the name "Mizdow" only to get nothing as Miz tells him to not be rude by asking him questions while he is trying to eat, despite the fact that he is talking while chewing. Damien mocks the entire motion of Miz as Renee just laughs, sending things back down to ringside not sure what she can say! Sting Calls Out The Undertaker
Will 'The Dead Man' Rise from the Dead? As the commentary team is just as baffled as the Kickoff Show team, they don't have much of a chance to move on as the lights go out! A caw of a crow is heard and the Staples Center goes wild, the face of Sting appearing on the titantron! Shortly after, he makes his way out to the stage with a spotlight on him. He has a long jacket on and his signature baseball bat over his shoulder. He takes a moment to look all around the arena before marching all the way down the ramp and up the steel steps, looking around once again. He enters the ring and steps right in to the middle, the lights coming up as his music fades out. A ginormous chant of his name rings out and he nods, having a microphone handed to him from ringside. "WOOOOOO!" He shrieks in to the microphone, getting a big response of it. "So this is what it is like to be at 'the biggest event of the summer', huh?" He asks to a loud ovation from the crowd. He twirls his bat around and says that for those that don't remember or happened to miss the big moment to end the Raw after WrestleMania, this is his second time in a WWE ring. "For a guy that had never been a part of this business before then, I have gotten a hell of a lot of love from the WWE Universe over the years and I am still getting it here today!" The fans pop for the appreciation and break out in to a chant of Sting's name once again. He thanks them and says that now he wants to get down to business because that is exactly why he is here, that is to conduct - or continue - some business with a particular someone. "That someone ladies and gentlemen is none other than The Undertaker..." Another pop comes for the mention of 'The Dead Man' and Sting shrugs his shoulders, saying yeah he has had one hell of a career. "But while The Undertaker has been having a hell of a career for twenty five years, so have I! Sure, I haven't been right here in the WWE up until four months ago but for years and years and years I have had the privilege to be known as one of the best of all time and to be known as 'The Icon' and that isn't me being cocky, folks, that's just me stating facts!" He gets a big ovation and says that he doesn't have a personal problem with The Undertaker but for all of those years he has enjoyed his success but he hasn't been able to get away from one consistent thing for all of those years. "The same exact thing year after year, month after month, week after week, day after day, night after day I have had people always be comparing myself and The Undertaker and that isn't the problem! The problem is those people have always said the exact same thing: The Undertaker... is better than Sting." The WWE Universe applauds and cheers out for Sting's intense words as he steps up to the ropes, pointing his bat at the main camera. He says that for weeks he has been sending these messages for The Undertaker to rise from the dead! "You wanted to leave this place peacefully after your streak was ended at WrestleMania, Dead Man, but you ain't leaving until I have had my piece of you!" He says that this is the opportunity for Undertaker to answer the call. Nothing comes for a while, Sting pacing back and forth. Soon, the titantron feed starts to buzz and the lights in the entire arena suddenly go out, a message appearing with eerie music... The crowd roars for the response as Sting grows a slight smile across his face, twirling his bat around some more as suddenly a big lightning strike hits atop the stage! Fire rises from it and out to the stage comes a series of druids, torches in their hands. They come down the ramp and a couple more come along with a casket through the now smoke filled stage, the arena in wonder as Sting doesn't budge in the ring. The casket finally reaches down to the ring, the druids leading it walking away from it as the eerie music dies down. The lights come up after all the druids exit, Sting standing still as the crowd shouts for him to open the lid! He slowly moves forward and points his bat through the ropes, tapping the lid of the casket. He backs up and waits for something to happen, only for nothing to come of it. Slowly, but clearly unsure, he leans through the ropes and grabs a hold of the lid. He carefully begins to raise it, the creaking going throughout the silent, curious arena. Sting finally snaps the lid open and backs up, pointing his bat forward only for there to be nothing in the casket at all. The WWE Universe seems a bit disappointed as they groan over no appearance from The Undertaker himself, but his signature gong hits around the arena to a big pop. It keeps going off as the sounds of thunder and lightning are heard again, Sting left staring at the casket with no sight of The Undertaker like he had wanted, but he has indeed had a message sent to him and this rivalry is clearly far from over. On a split screen, CM Punk and Kevin Owens are seen getting ready for their upcoming match as they both look very fired up and determined. We transition to a promo video, starting back the night after WrestleMania XXX. "Last week right here on Raw I came down to this ring and I told the world that if I couldn't beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, I might as well walk away." Punk had said. "But you know what I did last night at WrestleMania? I beat Roman Reigns! So I guess I'm sticking around a little bit longer!" Shortly after, the titantron would flash the word 'Purge' and from the crowd would come Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe. And atop the stage, the leader - Kevin Owens. The trio would destroy Punk, hitting him with a trio of corner moves of Crowe's clothesline, Zayn's Helluva Kick and Owens' powerbomb. Over the months, The Purge would continue their domination with Owens explaining that all of this is very personal because every single person they take out is in their way. Punk would make his unexpected return at Money in the Bank and target Owens, vowing his vengeance on him in the weeks following. Punk would team with fellow Purge victims Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio at Battleground: King of the Ring to face the group, managing to get one over on them - the first to do so. Punk, however, still wanted more as he vowed at the event that this was far from over. "If you're even going to suggest facing me in a match in the middle of this ring... you're making a big mistake." Owens would warn, with Punk laughing in response. "A match with you... that's nothing." He would say. "That's nothing for the both of us... instead, I want to fight you. Yeah. I want to fight you at Summerslam and I want it to be No... Holds... Barred!" The video picks up with the two fighting one another over the weeks, wanting to tear each other apart. Punk would be laid out by Owens one week, but just six days ago he would put Owens through the announce table with an elbow drop. The promo video draws to an end with Punk saying to Owens: "The thing is you don't know what I am capable of! You wanted to try and take me out but it has to be real, real disappointing to know I haven't gone down yet..." No Holds Barred Match
Kevin Owens vs CM Punk Charles Robinson calls for the bell to be rung and Owens snickers at Punk, whom comes running at him. Owens, however, slips out of the ring and walks to the bottom of the ramp with a chuckle. He throws his hands up towards Punk, whom seeths at the mouth in anger. He grows a grin across his face and nods, backing up a bit. He puts his hands on his hips and looks all around the arena, running to the ropes as Owens starts to come back and lays him out with a suicide dive! Punk immediately leaps on top of him and pummels Owens with punch after punch to the head, refusing to let up on him! After feeling satisfied, Punk gets on to his feet and throws his hands up to the crowd. "COME ON!" He shouts, kicking Owens in the gut as he starts to get up near the ring. "Get up off your ass, Kevin! Come on! We've got a looonggg way to go!" He says with a grin as Owens gets back up, being plastered with chop after chop to the chest. Punk sends a big kick to the head but Owens manages to duck it, hooking the waist. He hoists Punk off the ground and slams him back first in to the ring apron! Punk drops to his knees and Owens drives a knee in to the chest, throwing Punk face first in to the steel post, letting him crumble to the ground! "Come on, Punk! We've got a lonnnnggg way to go!" He says mocking Punk's words, laughing to the booing crowd nearby. "Hey, it's clobbering time!" He even throws out, clotheslining Punk as soon as he gets up. Owens takes him by the neck and drags him up again, running to the other side of the barricade in order to thrust him gut first in to it. Owens takes him by the face and begins to smack him around, taking a water bottle from the floor near the timekeeper. He pops it open and takes a sip out of it before splashing it in Punk's face! He shoves him back and laughs, Punk composing himself before leaping forward - taking Owens to the floor! He fires away with fists at the head once again, taking the water bottle and clonking Kevin on the head despite it being empty. Owens tries to crawl away and Punk leaps on his back, refusing to stop the fists to the head! He finally pulls off and lifts the ring apron, pulling out a kendo stick! He smiles at the sight of it and comes back over to Owens as he gets up with the steel steps, Punk snapping it in to the back of the legs! Kevin hops on one leg at first, but is knocked right down after Punk hits him in the other leg right after. He refuses to stop, however, swinging the kendo down across the stomach and chest relentlessly! Owens stumbles on to his feet and falls against the Spanish announce table, Punk growing a sick grin across his face. He swings the stick in to the gut again and then digs it in to the face! He pushes Owens all the way back against the table and drives it in to the eyes, yelling at him that he has had this coming for a long time! Punk finally pulls back and chucks the stick aside, throwing Owens down in to the steel steps. He grabs a hold of the cover to the announce desk and removes the monitors, keeping one of them after hesitating with it. He smiles and turns back to Owens as he gets up, running at him and swinging it! Owens just barely moves out of the way and the monitor bursts a big spark as it cracks in to the steel post! Punk is in shock from it and spins around, getting hit with a kick to the gut by Owens before being lifted on to his shoulders and dropped with a powerbomb in to the ring apron! Before Punk even has a chance to fall down, however, he is pushed in to the air and hit with the Pop Up Powerbomb while Owens spins, dropping him with through the Spanish announce table! Owens pounds on his chest and gives a yell to the crowd, putting his fists up as if he has won the match!
Kevin lets Robinson check on Punk but after it takes too long, he shakes his head and shoves Robinson aside! He takes Punk by the neck and forces him on to his feet again, chucking him back first in to the ring apron. Punk drops to one knee but Kevin throws him in under the ropes, following after him. He goes for the pin but he pulls off himself at a count of two. "Oh, come on..." Cole groans, saying that clearly Punk is spent. JBL notes how this is personal and Kevin Owens wants to put CM Punk away! Owens stands up and lets Punk get on to his knees, using the shorts and shirt of his rival to get up. Owens' smile soon fades away, however, as Punk looks up to him with a grin. Kevin forces him on to his feet and drives fist after fist after fist to the head, pushing Punk off the ropes. He catches him for the Pop Up Powerbomb on the comeback but Punk catches the head on the fall down, dropping Owens with a big time DDT! The Los Angeles fans get behind Punk and start to chant his name as he gets back on to his feet, slowly getting out of the ring. He searches underneath the ring and finds a table, dragging it out. The crowd goes wild as he, while pained, slides it in to the ring. He doesn't stop there, however, going back under the ring for a steel chair! He raises it up high and smacks it off the steel steps a few times, coming in to the ring with it. He lets Owens get up and drives the chair in to the gut, then across the back! Owens collapses on to all fours and Punk sends it down vertically, then again and again. He tosses the chair away and takes the table, setting it up slowly. He puts it upright and lets Owens get back on to his feet, using all of the strength he has left to lift him on to his shoulders and deliver the Go To Sleep! Owens falls back against the table and drops down on to it, Punk taking his time to catch his breath against the ropes. He steps out to the apron and throws his hands up to the crowd again and goes to the top rope very slowly and carefully. He puts his fingers up to the sky in homage to Randy Savage, getting a big ovation from the crowd as he leaps off for the elbow drop only to have Owens move out of the way! Punk crashes viciously through the table and Owens crawls to the ropes, laughing after he looks back at what just happened! "This man is sick! This man is absolutely sick!" Says Lawler as Owens gets back to his feet, his legs a bit wobbly. He storms back over to Punk and forces him on to his feet again, pushing him off the ropes just to catch him with the Pop Up Powerbomb on the return right on the steel chair from earlier! The Staples Center roars for the impact as Owens drops down on to his knees, hooking the exterior leg of Punk up with his fist in the air pumping with the count, garnering the three.
Winner of the match via pinfall, Kevin Owens (16:32)
The arena is rather stunned by the beat down but gives a loud mixed reaction as Owens gets back on to his feet with his fists raised high. He collapses across the top rope and laughs to the fans, begging for more heat from them. The destructive match is highlighted through replays by the commentary team, including the powerbombs from Owens in to the ring apron, through the announce table and the finish on the steel chair. Back live, Owens exits the ring and starts to head up the ramp. As he gets to the top, the WWE Tag Team Champions and fellow Purge members, Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe, make their way out with smiles on their faces. They embrace Owens as their night has been a big success, having put away all three of their rivals tonight in CM Punk, Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio.
Another promo video airs for programming coming soon only to the WWE Network. We cut backstage to see Byron Saxton once again and he welcomes his guest at this time: Roman Reigns. He steps forward to mostly cheers and he stares off in to the distance, Saxton thanking him for his time just moments away from his very big match up with 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar and he just wants to get his final thoughts before he goes to war. "You've got that right, Byron..." He says, finally breaking his concentration to look at Saxton. "I am going to war. I am going to war with possibly the most dangerous man in this business... we've all seen what he has been capable of. Hell, he put our current WWE Champion out of commission for three months after they went to battle last fall..." He shakes his head and says that he can't imagine missing that much time and he doesn't plan on missing any time. He says he understands that a lot of people still doubt him and that is just fine, they can keep on doubting because at the end of the day he is going to give it his all and use his fist to drive it in to the mug of Brock Lesnar. "And if this fist knocks him down for the three count... or if this shoulder does... there ain't no reason for anybody to doubt... and you can believe... that." He takes a deep breath and looks back off in to the distance, cocking his fist before heading off as he goes to battle with 'The Beast' next! A promo video starts off, showing Brock Lesnar in his sit-down interview the week after he returned. "You're not the new next big thing... you're just Brock Lesnar's bitch." Were the chilling words of 'The Beast Incarnate'. The video picks up showing tons of highlights of Lesnar's domination from his early days to most recently since his return in January 2013. The video picks up to show Roman Reigns' relationship with Paul Heyman that disintegrated over the recent months, ultimately ending with Heyman sicking Lesnar on him. After the footage of Lesnar's beat down is shown, the video fades out and comes back with the official theme song for Summerslam, "GDFR" by Flo Rida ft. Sage the Gemini. The video continues on, showing Reigns' frustration with being doubted as a threat to Lesnar, with the promise he would prove the doubters wrong - with the biggest of those being Heyman and Lesnar themselves. The differences in the first and second confrontation between the two is highlighted, with the first featuring Lesnar completely dominating with Reigns putting up a big fight on the second one, rattling Lesnar with three Superman Punches. "We all know that Brock Lesnar doesn't think I got what it takes..." Says Reigns in a voiceover to the two staring down. "And I'll shut him up too... because this is what I am made for. This is what I do, this is what I love and ain't nothing or nobody gonna stop me from getting to the top... and you can believe that." The promo video draws to an end with the two warriors staring each other down intensely.
Singles Match Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman vs Roman Reigns
The bell tolls by orders of veteran official Mike Chioda, Lesnar looking in possibly his best shape since making his return. He jogs in place and Reigns makes the first move, stepping up to the middle of the ring with his head held high. Lesnar laughs as he steps forward, getting chest to chest with Reigns. The two exchange some words and Roman sends a forearm to the face out of nowhere! He continues to go at Brock with it and hits off the ropes, coming right back with a Superman Punch attempt only to be caught by the waist, dropped to the mat and viciously flipped with the belly to belly suplex! Lesnar gets right back up and laughs as Reigns staggers back on to his feet with the ropes, being grabbed by the neck and met with vicious knee after knee after knee to the gut! Lesnar shows no mercy and delivers another belly to belly! Brock stands over Reigns as he cringes in pain, Heyman absolutely glowing over the early domination. Lesnar takes Roman by the hair and brings him up in to the corner, driving his shoulder in to the gut. He knocks the wind right out of Roman and continues to drive the shoulder in to the mid-section until Chioda gets to a four count. He jogs in place again and sticks his tongue out while laughing as Reigns drops on to one knee, getting back up to now a German suplex! Lesnar shoots on to his feet almost immediately as he raises three fingers up, indicating that is the third suplex he has hit on Reigns. He hooks the waist again and delivers a fourth suplex, another German. He looks out to Heyman, whom shrugs his shoulders. "I told you, Brock! I told you he was weak!" He says, Lesnar just laughing some more as he brings Reigns on to his feet again. He hoists him up on to his shoulders and steps up to the middle of the ring, delivering a devastating F5! He hooks the inside leg and it seems like it'll be over already, only for Reigns to fight and throw his shoulder up just in time! Brock sits up and shakes his head, getting on to his feet. He wags his finger after wiping the sweat from his brow. "You should've just stayed down, boy!" He screams. Reigns eventually struggles back on to his feet in the corner and Lesnar steps up to him, only to be surprised as he is met with a hard shot to the chin. Roman fires away at him and starts to get some life back in him, rocking Brock all the way back in to the corner with some rapid fire headbutts! He runs off the ropes and returns with a Superman Punch that connects! Lesnar bounces off the ropes and he hoists Reigns on to his shoulders suddenly, the crowd to their feet only for Reigns to defend and push off, hit off the ropes and take Lesnar down with yet another Superman Punch! Brock drops on to one knee and Reigns runs his hands through his hair, looking over to Heyman - giving a big wink. He backs all the way to the corner and hops on to the second rope, leaping off with a crossbody only to have Lesnar roll through as they hit the mat and with a primal scream, flip him on to his shoulders and deliver another F5! He marches all around the ring and shakes his fists, breathing heavily with a look of rage in his eyes. Instead of going for a pin, he drags Reigns up again and chucks him in to the corner, driving elbows in to the side of the face before nailing yet another belly to belly suplex. "FIVE, BITCH!" He shouts after getting up, standing over Reigns as he cringes in pain. Brock isn't even close to finished as he yanks Reigns up again, hitting him with a sixth suplex and a third German. He gets to his feet and stares out to the crowd, with less laughter and more seriousness. He puts his hands up and slowly takes his gloves off, showing his bare fists.
He stands over Reigns and starts to smack him around a bit with his bare hands, dragging him up slowly. After a few more smacks, Reigns shoves him back by the face. Lesnar takes exception to it and storms forward, Reigns shocking all by ducking down in to Brock and flipping him up and over! He gets back to his feet and throws massive punches and forearms to Lesnar, using all of his might to pull him off the mat and deliver a Samoan Drop! Reigns staggers on to his hands and knees, Heyman looking a bit concerned for the first time the entire match as Roman starts to shake his head wildly, getting fired up as Heyman has seen so many times before! He backs up in to the corner and keeps shaking his head up and down, slamming his fist to the mat! Lesnar gets back up and turns right in to a Superman Punch! Reigns pushes off the ropes and comes back with another, followed by a third! Lesnar stays wobbling on his feet and on the fourth attempt, he catches the arm and yanks Reigns down to the mat with a lock of the arm! He starts to apply the Kimura Lock and Reigns scrambles, trying to find a way to fight it before it can be completely locked on. He keeps his hand on Brock's arm and continues to pry it back, refusing to let him lock it on. The sweat pours down Roman's face at the difficulty to hold Lesnar off, managing to break him away enough to swing a hard fist down in to the mouth! Lesnar looks rattled and Reigns continues to swing his fist down in to the mouth, eventually bloodying the lip of Brock. He finally gets loose enough to put his other arm underneath Brock and lift him off the mat, using all he has to pull him off the mat and slam him back down! Reigns drops back in to a seated position and he waves his arm to check on it. Before he even has a chance to get on his own feet, Lesnar starts to stir. He gets on to his feet and checks his bloody mouth, looking furious over the sight of it. He runs right at Reigns and gets met with a forearm to the chin, Reigns continuing to rock him back. He flies off the ropes and comes roaring back with a Spear! The crowd rises as they think it has a chance to be over only to be shocked as Lesnar rolls right to the ropes and starts to get up again! Reigns hits off the ropes a second time and comes back with another Spear! Lesnar doesn't stay down for very long and on the third attempt, he avoids it and connects with a German suplex that launches Reigns almost all the way across the ring! Brock pops back up and breaths heavily, continuing to wipe away at the blood. He hooks the waist and drags Roman up, hitting another German. He goes on for two more, making that ten suplexes which he indicates with his fingers as he gets to his feet. He stands over Reigns as he coughs violently, trying to crawl his way to the ropes. With his hand sticking out, Brock drives his boot down on to it! He refuses to pull off and just laughs as Roman squirms. "You ain't sh*t!" Lesnar says, the crowd 'ooh'ing at it as he says it very loud. He brings Reigns up via his hair and laughs in his face before hoisting him on to his shoulders, looking to every side of the arena. "FINISH HIM!" Heyman shrieks from the outside, Lesnar letting out a primal scream before dropping Reigns with the F5 once again! He hooks the leg for the relieving three count.
Winner of the match via pinfall, Brock Lesnar (16:50)
Lesnar's bone-chilling music hits as he gets on to his feet, staring out to the crowd with a dominating victory in his pocket. Heyman joins him in the ring applauding and keeps Chioda aside, raising Lesnar's arm up himself. "We thought Brock Lesnar was dangerous before when he was WWE Champion... look what he did here tonight." JBL mutters as he, along with Cole and Lawler, go over the ten suplexes Lesnar performed as well as the three brutal F5s. Despite the fight of Reigns, he was ultimately dominated and conquered by 'The Beast Incarnate'. Lesnar and Heyman make their way up the ramp and take a look back from atop the stage, Lesnar snickering as he wipes the blood from his mouth again before heading to the back with Heyman, Reigns left coughing and cringing in the middle of the ring as Chioda checks on him, calling for help from the back. We transition back up to the Kickoff Show panel, Renee noting how we just saw two very brutal matches back to back. "Guys... Kevin Owens and CM Punk beat the hell out of each other each, but in that match... even though Roman put up a strong fight... Brock Lesnar completely destroyed him." Booker nods and says that he did and it was brutal to see ten suplexes, three F5s and almost a broken arm! Riley says he can't help but think there are some believers now in Roman Reigns despite the fact that he lost because he took that beating and he kept trying to fight. "Roman Reigns is a very tough guy and he has a hell of a lot to offer still!" Riley says, Miz saying that he isn't surprised. He says that he still doesn't believe in Reigns and he never will. The whole time, Damien Mizdow sits beside him mimicking Miz which causes the panel to start laughing again. "I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen..." Young says as she goes on to explain that Miz informed the that he did indeed hire Damien Sandow as his stunt double and it appears he is doing literally everything The Miz does. "Speaking of Damien, his former leader Wade Barrett is in action next teaming up with his... well, what would-have-been bride, Paige, to take on the crazy tandem of Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee for their United States and Diva's Championships! What do you think about that, Damien?" Miz stops him from speaking and says that he will handle it. He leans forward and says that Damien could care less about anything involving The Commonwealth, because he is with him now. Renee puts her hands up and says that also still to come later on is the WWE Championship match and earlier on the Kickoff Show they all made their predictions for who would win and she just wants to know if any of them are going to change their pick. Booker says he isn't going to against Bryan, he hasn't before and he ain't going to start tonight! Riley laughs and says he doesn't know if that is necessarily true, but he is actually going to go back on his prediction and he is changing his pick to Bryan as well! "Whatever... what I say is what I mean and I meant it when I picked Bray earlier on. Mizdow also picks Bray, so that makes it two-to-two by the way... then you add my Hollywood stardom, we automatically win." Young tries to argue that the match hasn't happened and these are predictions so they can't really win, only for Miz to hush her. Renee just laughs and sends things back on down to ringside!
United States and Diva's Championships Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee(c) vs Wade Barrett and Paige with The Commonwealth Ambrose and Barrett begin things and come up towards each other, Ambrose throwing a few wild punches that Barrett jukes. He looks agitated by 'The Lunatic Fringe' as he refuses to stop, running his hand in to Barrett's hair a few times as well. "Back him off me!" Barrett yells at referee John Cone, shaking his head as he gets mashed with a big kick to the gut. Ambrose runs off the ropes and returns with a knee to the gut, flipping Barrett down to the mat. He hits a kick to the back and lets Wade get on to his knees before standing over him, teeing off with rapid fists to the head. Barrett shoves him back hard, Ambrose coming right back to the Winds of Change slam! He gets back to his feet and grins to Paige, telling her he has this in the bag! He drags Ambrose up by the hair and drives a knee in to the gut, throwing a fist right after. He drives an elbow to the top of the head and runs across the ring, coming right back with a clothesline that Ambrose avoids, kicking him in the gut on the turnaround. He sets up for Dirty Deeds but Barrett manages to wiggle free just in time, stopping Dean with a huge boot to the face! He points down to him and demands he stay down. AJ stares at him and points across the ring at Paige, telling him to tag her in. "I'll do whatever I want, you hear me!?" He shouts in return, stepping all the way up to the Diva's Champion. The two share some heated words and Ambrose runs up from behind, rolling Barrett up for a close two count! Wade bounces back on to his feet, being dropped with a leaping shot to the face. Ambrose goes wild as he mounts on him and throws wild lefts and rights, refusing to stop until a three count by Cone. He gets up and says he knows he had until four, but he felt like three was enough. He pats Cone on the shoulder and turns right in to a big knee from Barrett to the gut that drops him to one knee. Wade follows with a pump handle slam and raises his arm up, inverting his elbow pad slowly. He laughs as he moves over to his corner, swinging his arm around. "Watch this, Paige! Watch as I put these two bloody psychopaths away!" Before he can even rush forward with it, Paige tags herself in. Barrett's eyes widen in disbelief as Paige comes in to the ring, looking up to him as he is at a loss for words. Cone tries to usher Barrett out of the ring but he can't help but just keep staring at Paige. "What the bloody hell are you doing!?" He screams as he steps out to the apron, Paige assuring him that it will all be alright. She turns right around to AJ running at her and tackling her to the mat! She slings Paige's head in to the mat repeatedly, getting back up again. Paige follows and gets hit with a dropkick, but she comes right back out of the corner with a big forearm to the face. She stomps away at AJ and refuses to stop, eventually letting her get back up in order to lift her for a suplex only to have it stifled as Lee comes back down to the mat and suplex Paige herself. The two get back up and Paige hits a hard kick to the face just as McIntyre yanks Ambrose down from the apron on the other side with Cone not noticing, McIntyre throwing him back in to the steel steps. Paige rattles AJ with a couple of clotheslines and a powerslam and sets up for the Ram-Paige, only to have Barrett tag himself in from behind! Paige looks in absolutely disbelief and drops Lee to the mat, Barrett pointing out to the apron. "Get out there! GET OUT THERE NOW! I HAVE THIS!" He demands, Paige putting her head down to the mat. She slowly goes out to the apron and shakes her head as Ambrose is rolled back in to the ring by McIntyre, the United States Champion getting up seeming groggy. He ducks the Bullhammer Elbow and slaps himself in the face, falling between the ropes and coming back with his signature clothesline. He gets all fired up and after Barrett gets on to his feet in a daze, getting kicked in the stomach and dropped with Dirty Deeds! Paige just looks on while shaking her head as Ambrose hooks the legs for the pinfall victory. Winners of the match and still United States and Diva's Champion, Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee (7:36) Ambrose rolls out of the ring with a big smile on his face as The Commonwealth hits the ring, their hands on their heads in disbelief. AJ soon joins Ambrose and Cone brings them their title belts, handing them over and raising their arms as they back up the rampway. In the ring, Barrett sits up and places his face in his hands. Paige is shouted at by Regal, McIntyre and Rose and she just drops from the apron, shaking her head in disgust. She walks away as Ambrose and AJ laugh their way all the way through the curtains. The cameras cut backstage to show the WWE Championship belt. They slowly fade back to show Bryan Danielson getting ready for his match in his locker room area, getting a big ovation from the crowd as he stretches. "And ladies and gentlemen... we are just moments away from the main event!" Cole says on commentary, asking if this will be another successful night for Bryan or if it truly will be his day of reckoning. In to his room comes his wife Brie Bella and she tells him she just wanted to come by and wish him luck. "Thank you..." He says, picking his WWE Championship belt up. He places it over his shoulder and shares a kiss with his wife, his smile turning in to a determined look afterward. He nods to Brie and takes a deep breath, heading out of the room for his big match with 'The Eater of Worlds'...A promo video begins with just piano music, going back to WrestleMania XXX. It shows the entrances of both Bray Wyatt and Bryan Danielson in their separate matches, Wyatt going up against The Undertaker and Danielson against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell. In Wyatt's contest, he would shock the world by ending the 21-0 undefeated streak of 'The Dead Man', dawning himself as 'The New Face of Fear' over the months while also continuing to mock 'Taker by using the Tombstone Piledriver on many occasions. Danielson would overcome the odds of a vicious Lesnar and after two prior losses to him, finally overcome and gain the WWE Championship. The video moves forward to Danielson losing the title thanks to Antonio Cesaro cashing in his Money in the Bank Briefcase, only to gain it right back. Wyatt would dominate a rivalry with Kane and eventually go forward to win the King of the Ring tournament, even being dubbed 'The Mad King' by some. Now, the two are set to face off for the WWE Championship at the biggest event of the Summer... The secondary theme song for Summerslam, "World on Fire" by Slash and Myles Kennedy, comes in as it shows Wyatt taking Danielson out after being presented the brand new WWE Championship belt. Over the weeks, he would vow to end the lie Danielson has been to the WWE Universe, saying that he is not their hero and that he is a false idol. Bryan would say he may not be perfect, but he for damn sure has never lied to the people that have supported him his entire career! The video picks up with the two getting physical with one another, Wyatt continuing to promise he would take what is rightfully his - the WWE Championship - and remove the pressure of hiding the monster inside of Danielson. The video concludes with Wyatt saying he feels sorriest for Danielson's wife, Brie Bella, for having to live with the monster that he truly is and not being able to do anything about it, but promising he could be the one to bring all the pain to an end for everyone. "This has nothing to do with my wife, Bray!" Bryan would respond. "This is about you and me and the WWE Championship! I am not evil and I am not a monster but if I have to bring something from the deepest, darkest part of me to beat you at Summerslam... I will."
WWE Championship Bryan Danielson(c) vs Bray Wyatt with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan
Charles Robinson raises the WWE Championship high over his head and hands it over to ringside, calling for the bell. Wyatt kneels down in his corner as Danielson looks very determined. Wyatt pulls himself up with the ropes and he walks along the ropes, Bryan following his moves very carefully. Wyatt steps up to the middle of the ring and puts his hand out, pointing down to the mat. "Save yourself now, Bryan! SAVE YOURSELF BEFORE I HAVE TO END YOU MYSELF!" He shouts, Danielson looking around the Staples Center, the arena breaking out in to a thunderous 'No!' chant in response of Wyatt's words. Bryan nods and steps forward, telling Wyatt 'no!' himself! Bray laughs and mutters under his breath as the two circle around a bit, Bray stomping his feet before coming up and locking up. He ducks in to the side and pushes Danielson in to the corner, driving an elbow in to the side of the face. He backs off with a smile and Bryan shakes it off, leaping forward with a giant forearm to the face! He tees off with kicks to the legs and delivers a big one to the side. He hits off the ropes and comes roaring back only to be absolutely blasted with a body block from Wyatt! He gets on to his knees and breaths heavily, taking the champion by the hair. He slowly brings him up and smiles to the crowd, hitting a couple of short-arm clotheslines before dropping Danielson with one big clothesline that drops him right on his neck! Wyatt stomps around a bit more, running his own face across the ropes. He leans over them and looks out to the crowd. "THE DAY OF RECKONING IS HERE!" He shouts to them all. "YOU WON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR FAKE HERO ANY LONGER! I AM THE ONE TO BRING AN END TO IT ALL! BEHOLD... THE NEW FACE OF FEAR!" He spins back around and gets smashed with a dropkick that drops him right through the ropes and to the outside with a thud! Danielson looks all around the arena and seems poised to hit Air Goat, flying off the ropes. He stops himself coming back, however, as Harper and Rowan pull their leader aside and make sure he is safe from the WWE Champion. Unfortunately for them, they turn around to Bryan flying off the top rope and taking them both down with a crossbody! He gets back on to his feet and begins the 'Yes!' chants with the L.A. crowd but he is quickly stopped as he turns right in to an absolutely brutal clothesline from Wyatt! He lets his hair fall in front of his face and begins to laugh as he drags Bryan up again, throwing him with absolute brute force in to the barricade! He drags him right back up again and does it a second time, rolling in and out of the ring as Robinson gets to a seven count. He paces back and forth and takes Bryan up by the hair, throwing him face first off the apron and then the steel steps. He stares down at Danielson as a big chant of 'Let's Go Bryan!' breaks out to his amusement. He brings Danielson back in to the ring and follows after him, letting him get up. Bray circles around him and hits a couple of shots as he does so, Danielson suddenly coming back with shots. The WWE Universe chants 'Yes!' and 'No!' back and forth with each shot from Bryan and Bray, respectively, as they go absolutely wild on each other with fists! Wyatt delivers a hard headbutt and gets blasted with a furious kick to the back of the head! Bryan ducks a clothesline and flies across the ring, hitting the ropes only to be tripped by Harper! The crowd boos as Robinson turns to see, not sure exactly what just happened. Danielson gets to his feet and Wyatt clotheslines him over the ropes and to the outside, leaning across the ropes but being told to stay back by the official. Bryan is suddenly blasted with a boot to the face from Rowan and he chucks the WWE Champion right back in, Wyatt placing his hands down on the chest for a count of two. Bray nods and gets to his feet with a laugh, dragging Danielson back up by the hair and neck. He throws him across the ring and goes for another clothesline, only to have Bryan duck and come flying through the ropes and in to Harper and Rowan! The crowd goes wild as Danielson pops back up, avoiding Wyatt as he slides out after him. He charges across the ring and gets back fast enough to take Wyatt out as well with the Air Goat through the ropes! Danielson rises on to his feet and starts up the massive 'Yes!' chants again!
Bryan takes Bray up to his feet and goes to throw him in to the steel steps, having it be reversed only to reverse it again and slam Wyatt knees fist in to the steps! Bray yells out in pain as he lays across the steps, holding on to his right knee in particular. Danielson goes after him and takes him in to the ring, going for a pin that results in just a two count. Wyatt is shaken up and Danielson tries to take advantage of it, turning him on to his back. He twists the legs and traps them up, dragging Wyatt up by the chin. He takes his foot out and stomps down on the head, driving Bray in to the mat! Wyatt crawls to the ropes and Bryan lets him rise in the corner, charging forward with a big dropkick! He gets back up and looks around, going off the corner again to come back with yet another! He goes for a third and Wyatt moves out of the way this time, Danielson crashing and burning! He falls down in a ball in the corner and Bray rolls out of the ring, taking the champion by the head. He leans it up against the steel post and despite the pleas of the arena and the commentary team, drives his forearm in to the head and in to the steel! Danielson kicks his legs around wildly as Wyatt backs off, coming right back with a full body splash in to the head - crushing it in to the post once again! Bryan rolls across the ring, kicking around wildly again as he holds on to his head. Wyatt paces back and forth and turns to the crowd, spreading his arms out. "THIS IS HIS FAULT, NOT MINE!" He shouts, saying that he is the one that has lied to them all. He comes back in to the ring and runs forward with a big senton! He goes for the pin immediately after, Bryan kicking out just in time! Wyatt sits up and just starts laughing again, getting on to his feet with the laughter gone. He breaths heavily and shakes his head, dragging Danielson up again in order to throw him in to the corner. He holds on to his face, talking in to his ear. He throws a series of smacks to the face and backs off all the way to the other corner, holding on to the ropes. He taps his feet and leans back, giving a big yell with a smile. Before he even has a chance to walk across the ring with his creepy spider walk, Danielson comes flying out of the corner with a baseball slide to hit him in the face! Both men stagger back up and Bryan ducks away from a forearm, hitting a big kick to the bad knee. He continues to fire away and rocks Wyatt all the way up against the ropes. He is pushed back and he ducks another forearm, running to the corner and up it - backflipping over Wyatt! He falls all the way back to the other corner and runs forward with the Busaiku Knee! The building is ecstatic and Bryan scrambles over, hooking the leg only to have Wyatt kick out right before the count of three! Danielson is in absolute disbelief as he rolls across the ring, hugging the ropes with a look of disbelief across his face. Harper grabs his legs and starts to pull him out of the ring but Bryan holds on to the ropes, Robinson taking notice this time! He rushes over and points at Harper and Rowan, demanding the two go to the back! The Staples Center goes wild for the call as Harper and Rowan are enraged! Wyatt gets back on to his feet on the other side of the ring and he hits Danielson from behind with a forearm to the back of the head, stepping out of the ring quickly to calm his followers down. "Don't worry... I DON'T NEED YOU FIGHT THIS WAR! I WILL END THIS! I WILL BRING THIS DAY OF RECKONING!" The two slowly back away and go around the ring, Wyatt placing his hands on the announce table with a smile to Cole, Lawler and JBL. He spins around to see Danielson flying through the ropes, only to catch him and deliver Sister Abigail right in to the table! The crowd is stunned as Wyatt falls back against the table himself, taking deep breaths as he is in shock as well. He runs his hands through his hair to put it out of his eyes, taking Danielson back up slowly. He throws him in to the ring and crawls in after him, seeming ready to go for the pin only to stop himself.
He slowly rises back on to his feet and keeps his arms spread, looking around the arena. He lets out a laugh and it turns wild as Bryan remains not moving on the mat. He drags him back up and sets him up for Sister Abigail once again, giving a kiss to the side of the head. Before he can deliver the move, however, Danielson spins out of his grasp and hits a huge kick to the side! He keeps teeing off and sends Wyatt all the way down on to one knee, the WWE Champion showing his heart as he delivers one huge kick to the back of the head! Wyatt falls down to the mat and Bryan backs all the way to the corner, stepping out to the apron. He goes to the top rope carefully and slowly, brushing his hair back. He leaps off for the headbutt but stops himself, rolling through as Wyatt moves out of the way! He catches Bray off guard and takes the arm, pulling him down for the Yes! Lock only to have Wyatt keep his hand in the way and send a few elbows back. Bryan stumbles back in to the corner and Wyatt rises, spinning and delivering an absolutely vicious clothesline that flips Danielson wildly and upside down in the air! Bray stumbles up in to the ropes, leaning across them again. He breaths heavily and turns to Danielson again, letting him rise in the corner. He runs right at him and misses a body splash, turning out of the corner right in to Bryan flying off the ropes and coming back with the Busaiku Knee! The roof nearly comes off of the Staples Center as Danielson hooks the legs, Wyatt once again finding a way to get his shoulder up! The crowd is in absolute disbelief as Danielson rolls on to all fours, looking around not sure what he can possibly do! He slowly stirs back on to his feet and falls back in to the corner, his face in his hands. He starts the slow, rising 'Yes!' chants with the WWE Universe again and waits for Wyatt to rise, attempting a third knee after he gets up only for it to be avoided, Wyatt flying off the ropes himself and coming back with a body block. Both men get back up and Wyatt ducks a swooping kick to the head, setting up for Sister Abigail again. "IT'S OVER!" He screams to the crowd, leaning in for the kiss again only for Danielson to slip down to the mat and roll Wyatt up for the off-guard one, two, three!
Winner of the match and still WWE Champion, Bryan Danielson (22:24)
"OH MY GOD HE DID IT!" Cole shouts in disbelief as Danielson rolls all the way to the ropes and underneath them, Wyatt sitting up with his eyes widened! "BRYAN BEAT BRAY! BRYAN BEAT BRAY! BRYAN BEAT BRAY!" The Staples Center is in total shock, commentary is in total shock, Wyatt is in total shock and even Danielson seems to be in total shock as Robinson brings the WWE Championship over to him as he sits on the outside floor! "I can't believe it!" Lawler exclaims, JBL saying that Danielson pulled a rabbit out of the hat because Wyatt was absolutely unstoppable as he took everything and kept kicking out, kept fighting back! They go through some of the replays of Wyatt surviving everything that came at him, Danielson even surviving on his own after taking a brutal Sister Abigail in to the announce table. Back live in the arena, Danielson backs up the ramp with his WWE Championship belt clutched close to his chest, the 'Yes!' chants alive and well throughout the Staples Center. Wyatt leans in between the ropes, that look of shock and disbelief still across his face. "THAT IS MIIIIINNNEEE!" He screams, saying that this is the day of reckoning! Bryan is met up by his wife, whom gives him a big hug and a kiss - the two sharing the WWE Championship in their hands as they get to the top of the stage together, leading the WWE Universe in the 'Yes!' chant as well as Summerslam comes to an end!

- Wow what a SummerSlam, probably better than last year's SummerSlam in your diary hands down I mean even with the Panel you had Renee Young, Booker T, Alex Riley and The Miz, that is quite an impressive Panel if I do say so myself and them giving their predictions on tonight's matches I wonder if some of their predictions will ring true or if some of them will actually be wrong?
- Cody Rhodes beat his own brother Goldust he didn't just beat Goldust he brutalized his own brother in this match I mean Cody didn't hold back he didn't show any remorse and he basically beat the hell out of Goldust his brother I mean I bet their father The American Dream Dusty Rhodes their WWE Hall of Famer father was watching this and he was probably sickened by this seeing his sons go at it but also seeing one son destroy the other I think it is safe to say the Rhodes family will never be the same but as for Cody this does wonders for him especially now that he has his brother out of the way I wonder what is next for Cody?
- Seth Rollins becoming the new WWE Intercontinental Champion and in the process retaining his Money in the Bank briefcase all be it under controversial circumstances let's be honest because AJ Styles had Rollins beat in this match and he would have won this match if it hadn't been for those 2 mystery guys attacking AJ Styles, I mean who were those guys? These guys single-handedly just attacked AJ Styles for no reason but they didn't attack Rollins either in fact they didn't even touch him, this has got to scream Eric Bischoff, Eric Bischoff probably sent these 2 mystery guys as Seth's guardian angels and now that Seth has both the Money in the Bank briefcase and the WWE Intercontinental Championship I mean he could become a double champion he could become WWE Champion as well as being the WWE Intercontinental Champion but I don't think Rollins' reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion will last long especially because he doesn't need the WWE Intercontinental Championship especially since he already has Money in the Bank but I don't think this Rollins/Styles feud is over in fact I think it is far from over considering what just happened, AJ was screwed
- Sami Zayn & Solomon Crowe proving beyond a shadow of a doubt just why they are the future proving why they could potentially become breakout stars too as well should The Purge ever break up but they actually defended their WWE Tag Team Championships and not only defended them but successfully retained them against Orton & Del Rio who are 2 former World Champions, this pretty much not only solidifies Zayn & Crowe now as a legitimate tag team it solidifies their reign as WWE Tag Team Champions especially considering they beat 2 former World Champions, it seems The Purge are off to a winning start tonight here at SummerSlam but will their leader Kevin Owens go for the sweep tonight here by beating Punk in No Holds Barred?
- After that backstage segment I can definitely see a Rollins/Punk feud, I mean the seeds were just planted especially with Rollins just becoming the new WWE Intercontinental Champion as well as retaining his Money in the Bank briefcase but Punk he even said it himself that after he has dealt with The Purge he will be setting his sights not only on Rollins but on Bischoff too and Bischoff and Rollins are friends
- Rusev wins yet again this time at SummerSlam his first SummerSlam appearance and Rusev not only beat Kane but he dominated Kane, but at the same time he basically made Kane look human in this match but at the same time Kane he didn't tap out in this match he passed out but at the same time passing out in The Accolade basically counts as a submission victory but after Rusev beat Kane I would say he has conquered giants ever since bursting on to the scene conquering them one by one and that it doesn't matter who the opponent is it doesn't matter who they throw at him he will just manage to beat them again and again but I wonder if Kane is done with Rusev after this? Or if this feud will somehow continue?
- Night of Champions PPV, can't wait
- Cena beating Cesaro here at SummerSlam, probably the worst result that could happen for Cesaro in my opinion because by him losing to Cena it actually kills Cesaro's momentum well whatever momentum he could have had as a main eventer is now out the window because Cena basically buried Rusev in this match when you think about it, yes sure Cena got the win but Cesaro I feel that he deserved the win more a hell of a lot more than Cena did that's for sure because Cesaro if he had beaten Cena then his main event push would not all be for nothing
- Sting tried to play mind games with Taker but Taker basically beat Sting at his own game playing mind games with The Icon, Sting may be good at mind games but I think Taker just in fact may be better but this just further builds up towards their match at WrestleMania 31, a match that everyone is already talking about because it is over 25 years in the making and it is finally going to happen in this diary, Icon vs Legend
- Owens beats Punk in No Holds Barred, cleanly going over Punk, what a match what a match is all I have to say I mean not only was this match so back and forth their in-ring chemistry with each other was great they made each other look great out there and honestly this match could have gone either way but so many near falls but this match was brutal not for the faint of heart but in the end the right guy went over because this just proves that Owens really can hang with the big boys in the ring that he actually can hold his own and Owens I think he just may in fact be better than The Best in the World
- Lesnar's undefeated streak at SummerSlam continues, he beats Roman Reigns a battle of Paul Heyman Guys with Reigns being a former Paul Heyman Guy and Lesnar being the Heyman Guy but still this match I mean Reigns he did take it to Lesnar but Lesnar gave Reigns a beating here in this match I mean let's face it Reigns never realistically stood a chance here against Brock but I will say Reigns he has nothing to be ashamed of he has nothing to be guilty about this was a great match all be it he came up short but still after this display from Lesnar it is only a matter of time before Lesnar sets his sights back on the WWE Championship whereas Reigns I wonder what is next for him? I mean he did just lose to Brock so
- Dean Ambrose & AJ Lee retaining their respective titles Dean Ambrose retaining his WWE United States Championship and AJ Lee retaining her WWE Divas Championship against Commonwealth members Wade Barrett and Paige, I think it is safe to say that after this Ambrose can officially move on from Wade Barrett, Ambrose has beaten Barrett countless times now and especially with the title on the line Ambrose has proven that Barrett can't beat him that he will never be able to beat him for that title whereas AJ she can officially move on from Paige considering she has beaten her already countless times and especially with the title on the line but after this match I think it is safe to say this was the beginning of the end for The Commonwealth as a stable
- And in the SummerSlam main event, Danielson retaining his WWE Championship against Bray Wyatt, this is probably the worst outcome that could ever happen as far as I am concerned considering the year Bray Wyatt has already had not only ending The Undertaker's 21-0 WrestleMania undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30 he beat Kane not once but twice and then he went on to win King of the Ring I mean Wyatt should have become WWE Champion because if he had then it would have been the perfect way to cap off his year but you went with Danielson which I will never understand but I don't think Wyatt is done with Danielson yet, I see this feud continuing on into Night of Champions

With Monday Night Raw taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight just twenty four hours removed from Summerslam, General Manager is bringing back one of his innovations from his first run as GM: Raw Roulette. Tonight, many will have their fate to be determined by the spin of a wheel featuring match stipulations ranging from the likes of a Pillow Fight to a Steel Cage match. But remember... what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... at least that is what they say.

So glad Bischoff is bringing back RAW Roulette because I enjoyed that a whole lot especially because with one spin of the wheel it could land on any match

Summerslam 2014! Woo, we made it! Let the saxophone play loudly tonight live from the Staples Center. Going into this show I was pretty damn excited for the card. It was well built and so many things can happen tonight on the biggest night of the summer. Kicking things of with the Kickoff Show, and may I just say I love the way yu do these. Having Miz on here was kinda cool given the Hollywood background. With each match being hyped up in the Kickoff Show you really show that you know exactly how to hype up a viewer. So with the kickoff panel going away, let's get into some action! Brother vs. Brother, Cody vs. Goldust. A match I wish in real life would have gotten a Wrestlemania spot but eh to each their own. Cody being the heel is obviously the right call, and my biggest question going into this match was this, what is left for Goldust after Summerslam? Would this be his last match? The story in this match was very good for a Kickoff match. I loved the idea of Goldust not wanting to attack Cody and even after dropping him with a clothesline he'd feel sorry and try to console with his brother. By the end of this match you built Cody as a dangerous heel and to me the question is here, if Cody Rhodes would do this to his brother, what would he do to someone he has no relations to? I really hope to see a good solo push for Cody in the coming year. A little more talk on the kickoff panel to get us hyped for the main event but boyo it's time! Oh it's time! No it's not Vader time, it's Summerslam time! Loved the opening promo video and the detail with the writing provided a great mental image. Money in the Bank Briefcase vs. Intercontinental Championship being the opener is a solid choice. This match was a great opening contest with some great back and forth action. Not going to lie when Styles went to the top for the Spiral Tap, I thought it was over for ol' Seth Rollins. Then the men dressed in all black with ski masks hopped the guardrail. Such a great angle for the opening of Summerslam and now I want to know who it was damn it! The legsweep-uppercut combination has me thinking The Ascension but really that's just a guess, regardless they just cost AJ Styles the Intercontinental Championship and damn it that's not ok! With the Money in the Bank Briefcase and the Intercontinental Championship you have to wonder what's next for Seth. Hell with that MITB he may cash in later tonight for all we know. Purge promo was solid and I really love these bits with just Crowe and Zayn talking. It lets them add layers to their characters that typically they wouldn't be able to because of Kevin Owens. "He smiles and pulls his title belt over his shoulder, excusing himself and saying that it is time to destroy, it is time to dominate and it is time to purge." That line is such a great line man. The promo was great but now it's time for the match itself! Tag Team Championships on the line and man the team of Del Rio and Orton is so weird to me. Of course it fits because of the storyline but just seeing the two in a tag team championship match is odd. This was a buck wild match from the start. A lot of fast paced action and that is to be expected with Crowe and Zayn running rough shot. Loved the tornado ddt spot from Zayn being hit on Orton at Summerslam. The clothesline followed up with the Helluva kick is an interesting tag finish but is obviously impactful as the duo of Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio lose to it. A great match to add some huge momentum to the rather still new tag team of Solomon Crowe and Sami Zayn. The Punk and Rollins promo backstage was very unexpected to me and I like it. Hopefully after AJ Styles gets his rematch we can see Seth/Punk for the Intercontinental Championship, that is of course if Rollins holds on to it. Up next we have Rusev taking on Kane in what I think is a very obvious call as to who will win. However what wasn't obvious was how Rusev was going to win. Didn't really expect him to make Kane pass out and the finish is really going to do Rusev some favors. Overall solid cool down match. On to a match that i'm excited for with Cena vs. Cesaro. This match was great and the longest match of the night so far. I loved the back and forth action and anytime you have Paul Heyman at ringside you know it's going to be a good night. Was rather shocked that John Cena went over here, my chips were surely in on Cesaro. Of course at first I thought this would diminish Cesaro's momentum, however what happened after the match would change that. Cena asking for a handshake only for Cesaro to not only blow him off but also mock him was great. Maybe this means we haven't seen the last of Cena/Cesaro in the WWE. Sting is here to call out The Undertaker! Bah Gawd! Bah Gawd! Very well written segment man and the hype between these two will be nice leading up to what i'm expecting to be Wrestlemania. Alright now up next is easily my most hyped match which is Kevin Owens vs. CM Punk. The hype video was great and really put the cherry on top for the excitement I have going into this match. Whoa. This match wasn't anything as to what I was expecting and that isn't bad at all. I expected that Punk and Owens would have a great back and forth until the ending sequence where we'd see a ton of weapon spots. Nope, tonight at Summerslam we just witnessed the dominance known as Kevin Owens. A Pop Up Powerbomb on the spanish announce table, apron, and last but not least a steel chair. You want to make a presence? Watch this match and take some notes. The Purge look stronger than ever coming out of Summerslam and now the question is this, whose next? Who would even want to fight these men after such a crazy act of dominance was shown? Time to keep the crowd hot as up next is Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar. Like I mentioned earlier, anytime you have Paul Heyman at ringside you know things are going to be good and this was no different. If you thought Kevin Owens was dominate against CM Punk, sheesh that ain't nothing compared to Brock Lesnar dominating Roman Reigns. Ten Suplexes and three F5's. Roman Reigns just got his ass kicked in one hell of a match, and now the big question for Roman is where do you go from here? How do you bounce back from an ass kicking? Up next we have two titles being defended at once! The Divas Championship and United States Championship are on the line as Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee defend against Wade Barrett and Paige. This for Wade is easily a must win match. Clearly Paige has been a bit upset over the past few weeks and now tonight they both have a chance at gold. Though that chance would be taken away from themselves as throughout this match there was clear miscommunication. Somehow Ambrose and AJ were able to keep it together and ended up retaining the championships. The Commonwealth clearly has some thinking to do going forward but thats for the future, we're still in the present and the present is Summerslam! It's main event time here in the Staples Center as the WWE Champion Bryan Danielson takes on Bray Wyatt. What a year it's been for Bray Wyatt, not only did he defeat the Undertakers streak but he also is King of the Ring. The Mad King vs. The Yes Man is an interesting match up for sure and tonight it's going down for real. One of the best matches on the card by far and it should have been. This was great, absolutely great. The finishing sequence was very good and seeing Danielson walk out of the Staples Center with the WWE Championship was a good call. I have a feeling however that this isn't the last time we'll be seeing Bray and Bryan do the in ring tango for the championship this year. Overall Summerslam really held up to the hype and was an excellent pay-per-view. Who knows what is to come from the show? Oh wait that's right, tomorrow night is the return of Raw Roulette and the next time the WWE comes to you live on pay-per-view will be Night of Champions. Excited for Raw, and very interested in where we're going from here now that the Summer is basically over.

The Kickoff write up is still too long for my taste. I read the match but not the rest of it. Cody Rhodes winning is always the best move when doing him against Goldust. Sounded brutal and it better lead somewhere good for Cody. Excellent choice for an opener as AJ Styles/Seth Rollins would absolutely be a hot contest. It sounds like the Ascension got involved. I hope I'm wrong though because I'm not a fan and AJ Styles deserves so much better. Also, if they're down with Seth, I'm not big on it either. I am intrigued by Seth Rollins being IC Champion again. I sense he holds it for a bit before losing it just before cashing in. Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton make for a strange team. Obviously I get why it made sense, but yea, no way Sami and Solomon lose to them. Punk/Rollins would be sweet. Rusev beating Kane was clear. You've managed to keep Kane relevant and putting over Bray and Rusev has worked. John Cena and Cesaro have damn good matches together, I'd love to see them have a real PPV match. Cena winning was alright but Cesaro has lost TONS of momentum since cashing in. Sting/Undertaker was good build. Punk/Owens was my favorite match of the entire show. Brutal in the right way without going overboard. Kevin Owens winning was the right call too. I sense Owens winning a title soon. Brock/Roman was good too. Roman looking good in a losing effort worked for him here. I enjoyed the mixed tag since it features four people that I really enjoyed. I figured it would end this way, with a wedge between Paige and Barrett. I just really want to see Paige with the Divas Title. AJ has dominated your diary and it's time for someone else to take over. While the writeup for the main event was good, I don't agree at all with the result. Bray Wyatt ending the streak NEEDED to culminate with him winning the belt in his first shot. Even though it was a rollup, Bray still needed this win and then eventually drop the title to Roman or your next big thing. Overall, I enjoyed most of the show, especially Owens/Punk. I'm just not a fan of some of the decisions.

It's certainly been a while since I've posted any reviews/comments on this site. But I have still been following this diary. So why not pick up with SummerSlam. Let's get into it.
We start up with Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust. The result seemed obvious with Rhodes getting the win over his big brother in a brutal fashion. I can see the feud going on a little further, which will accomplish in both establishing Rhodes as a star on the rise and moving Goldust out of the picture. Next, we have Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for both the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase and the Intercontinental Championship. The end result for this match was also obvious. Rollins has too much going for him to lose the MITB briefcase. You've done an awesome job of building up Rollins. I can see him dropping the Intercontinental Championship somewhere down the road without it hurting his stock. It also seems we get the Ascension coming up to the main roster. I can see them as Eric Bischoff's enforcer tag team, who will also be Rollins' backup. After a great promo from the Purge, we get the WWE Tag Team Championship match with champions Sami Zayn and Solomon Crowe defending against Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio. Again, another predictable result. I didn't see Orton and Del Rio walking out as champions. But this does wonders for Crowe and Zayn to hold a victory over two former WWE/World Heavyweight Champions. Great job with that. Nice little tease of a Punk/Rollins feud. Next, we have Rusev vs. Kane. Another predictable result. I didn't see Rusev losing in this match. But I didn't expect to see Rusev make Kane pass out. That was a nice touch. At this point in his career, Kane is great at putting young guys over. The Big Red Machine has done just that with both Bray Wyatt and Rusev. Onto the next match, which is John Cena vs. Antonio Cesaro. Cena gets the win here, although I felt that Cesaro needed the victory more. He's the anti-Rollins in that he's lost a lot of momentum since losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cena can afford to lose at this point in his career. The post-match bit certainly keeps the feud going, so that's good. Maybe Cesaro can get back on track. Next, we get the buildup to Sting/Undertaker, which accomplished just that. Next up, we get Kevin Owens vs. CM Punk. Amazing promo video to build up the match. As for the match itself, talk about Owens dominating a former WWE/World Heavyweight Champion. This does wonders for Owens. Right call. We go from one beatdown to another with Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns. Man, Lesnar looked like a monster in this match. Reigns held his own but he just wasn't up to snuff with the Beast. Despite the loss, I can see Reigns bouncing back from this. We move onto Dean Ambrose and AJ Lee vs. Wade Barrett and Paige for both the United States and Divas Championships. Another obvious call here with Ambrose and Lee retaining. Looks like the beginning of the end for the Commonwealth's "Royal Couple." I can see Paige getting fed up with Barrett and dumping him, resulting in a face turn for the young British diva. At this point, it seems inevitable. Now we have the main event: Bryan Danielson vs. Bray Wyatt for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Great match, but the end result surprised me. I would've figured Wyatt would've emerged victorious. He has been on such a tear thus far with ending the Streak at WrestleMania and winning the King of the Ring. But to close out the show with Danielson with his wife, Brie Bella, certainly ends the show on a feel-good note. Excellent show, if a little predictable. But there's nothing wrong with being predictable. It's better than Vince Russo's style of booking where there's constantly a swerve just for the sake of shocking the fans. As Jerry Jarrett once said, "fans don't want to be outsmarted, they want to be entertained." And you did entertain. So job well done.
It's amazing to see this diary still going strong after all these years. Who would've thought that this diary began at Survivor Series 2009 and has made it to SummerSlam 2014. Quite an achievement. Kudos, my man.

AUGUST 18, 2014 FROM THE THOMAS & MACK CENTER IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Still images from Summerslam start things off tonight, ranging from Kevin Owens' defeat of CM Punk to Sting calling out The Undertaker to Brock Lesnar destroying Roman Reigns and Bryan Danielson retaining the WWE Championship against Bray Wyatt in the main event. The Monday Night Raw intro video airs and the cameras follow up coming in to the Thomas & Mack Center from Las Vegas, Nevada! Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield give the welcoming to the show where tonight, Eric Bischoff says he is bringing back the popular Las Vegas creation of Raw Roulette! A lot will be made of tonight by random as Bischoff will spin a wheel in his office to give some interesting twists to some matches tonight. But, we are also set to hear from the WWE Champion in just moments right here on Monday Night Raw!
The entrance music of WWE Champion Bryan Danielson hits to a tremendous ovation via the Thomas & Mack Center, the man himself coming through the curtains along with his wife Brie Bella. The two share a kiss as they hop down the ramp in unison, leading the WWE Universe in the 'Yes!' chants. They make their way in to the ring and look all around the arena, Danielson holding a microphone in his hand with a big smile across his face. "I know a lot of people didn't expect me to be here tonight with my WWE Championship still over my shoulder... and while I went through a war, I survived that war and I stand before each and every one of you still your WWE Champion!" He hoists the title up high to a huge pop, the crowd breaking in to the 'Yes!' chant on their own as well. He and Brie show their enjoyment over the love from the fans, the WWE Champion placing his title on the mat. He points down to it and gestures his hand out to all the fans, getting a standing ovation for it. He pulls the belt back up and throws it back up on to his shoulder, pulling his microphone back up. "You are all my inspiration each and every night and whether you chant 'Yes!' or you chant 'No!' I come out here every single show knowing that I will have the energy of all of you to keep me going! To keep me going when I've been knocked down and not sure if I am going to get back up! Just like you all did for me last night because I was pushed to the edge by Bray Wyatt and I just managed to get through him..." Bryan nods, saying that he almost lost the title a few times last night but he kept fighting back because he knew a world with the likes of Bray as WWE Champion is a world that the WWE Universe does not want and does not deserve to have. Before Danielson has a chance to continue on, he is interrupted by the signature of The Wyatt Family - the lights going out in the arena afterward.
Bray Wyatt makes his way out to the stage with his lantern, in a rare state as he is all by his lonesome, no family members along with him. He stops himself at the top of the stage and the lights remained dimmed down as he paces back and forth, no evil laughter as usual but rather heavy, intense breathing. "Bryan... I commend you." He says with a glare. "You survived your day of reckoning! You survived and I, for one, am quite surprised by you... but now that the day of reckoning for you has passed and while I was the one to take you to the verge of facing your day... we can make this about what I desire..." He dangles his lantern and says that Danielson has something in his possession that he wants. He says that he holds the golden treasure he so very much desires and Bray Wyatt gets what Bray Wyatt wants. He says that "Abigail" told him this barren land was made for him and he could have whatever his heart desires and he wants the WWE Championship, the crown jewel, for himself. Danielson is quick to reply, questioning Wyatt why he should give him another opportunity. "Bray, you were a tough opponent for me but that doesn't mean there are not plenty of men back there worthy of their first chance!" The crowd cheers the response and Wyatt just snickers, saying that if Bryan doesn't want to make this easy, he'll have to take matters in to his own hands. He blows his lantern out and the arena is completely black! After about ten seconds in the darkness, a scream is heard! It continues to go on and after a while, the lights flicker back on as Bryan can be heard shouting for Brie! After the lights completely come back on, Brie is in the grasp of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan on the rampway! Danielson rushes to the ropes but Wyatt demands he stops.
"IF YOU DARE COME ANY CLOSER, I WILL HAVE MY MEN DROP YOUR PRECIOUS WIFE!" The Las Vegas crowd and the commentary team are surprised by the actions of Wyatt as he is brought Brie, whom has a worrisome look on her face and even some tears in her eyes as Bray takes her with her arm crossed over and pinned in to her neck. He smiles as he leans in to her ear. "Now, dear Brie... tell your husband to give me what I want... to give me what I want at the Night of Champions... if he truly loves you... he'll make the right decision." He puts the mike up in front of her and with a tremble in her voice, Brie tells her husband to not give him what he wants! The fans cheer as Wyatt bursts in to laughter over the defiance, pulling Brie tighter to him. "YOU DARE DEFY ME!?" He shouts repeatedly, throwing Brie left to right. Finally, Danielson shouts for Wyatt to let her go! "You want your match at Night of Champions, Bray!? Fine!" He backs up and tosses his title to the mat, re-iterating that he has what he wants. "Now... Bray... unhand my wife." Wyatt nods with a smile, pulling his microphone back up. He says that while he appreciates Danielson making the right choice, he did say he takes what he wants and not only does he think he wants the WWE Championship, he thinks he wants Brie Bella as well. The Las Vegas crowd boos as Bryan's eyes widen, rolling out of the ring. He storms up the stage but gets ran in to with a big boot from Harper! Brie screams for her husband, Wyatt laughing like a maniac as the signature of The Wyatt Family hits once again as Brie Bella's safety is in question.
Back from the break, the commentary team goes over what just happened moments ago. "And now, ladies and gentlemen... we don't know the whereabouts of Brie Bella and Bryan Danielson, our WWE Champion, is on the search and hopefully all is okay..." Cole transitions things to the stage where the United States Champion Dean Ambrose makes his way out to a giant ovation from the crowd! He makes his way down and in to the ring and waits, the General Manager Eric Bischoff soon appearing on the titantron with a slick grin as the WWE Universe boos him. "Well ladies and gentlemen," He says as he places his hand on the wheel behind him. "Allow me to officially welcome you to Raw Roulette where much of tonight will be determined by the spin of the wheel... how great of an idea for Vegas right? Oh yeah, I came up with it myself a very long time ago!" He laughs and says that Ambrose has always been a pain in the ass, so he hopes he gets a stipulation worth while for his match right now. He spins the wheel and goes over some of the match possibilities on the board such as a Steel Cage match, maybe even a Pillow Fight and a Submission Match. It comes to a stop, but is by force by Bischoff himself as he lands on a Flag Match. Everyone is confused by the reason for the stop and Bischoff says that he finds that to be a very interesting one. "You see, Dean, you are indeed the United States Champion but... I don't know if you're really that fantastic of an American, you know? I mean, you could very well be considered a criminal by most! This will be a non-title match but your opponent... might just be interesting in getting a title match soon." Bischoff grins as the theme music of Rusev hits! Flag Match: United States Champion Dean Ambrose vs Rusev (w/Lana) in a Non-Title Match: The bell rings after the sides of the ring are set up, Ambrose charging right to Rusev, ducking underneath a shot. He leaps right to the corner but has his legs quickly swept out from underneath him, being stomped away at. 'The Bulgarian Brute' completely dominates Ambrose and ends up blasting him with a leaping kick to the face, giving him some time to go over to the corner and start to ascend it. He is stopped by Ambrose, however, as he leaps up behind him and clubs across the back repeatedly. He falls back to the mat with the big man with a giant neckbreaker that shakes the ring, both men being down. After the two eventually crash to the outside, Ambrose hits a big clothesline after leaping off the barricade and then goes in the ring. Instead of going for the flag, however, he hits a big suicide dive and gets the crowd going! A commercial break comes in after the spot, Ambrose continuing to surprise Rusev following the return. He goes to the top rope near the Russian Flag and leaps off with an elbow to the head but, once again, doesn't even go for his flag and instead decides to try and beat Rusev down. After hitting a few punches, Ambrose flies off the ropes only to come back to a huge Samoan drop! Rusev gets on to his feet again and shouts in his own language, kicking Ambrose rapidly in the corner as he tries to get up. After a few short arm clotheslines, Rusev hits a giant leaping kick to the face! He rolls out of the ring and steps over to the timekeeper, shoving him aside in order to take his steel chair! He closes it up and brings it in to the ring, Ambrose getting up and turning right in to a shot to the gut followed by a big smash across the spine! The Las Vegas fans boo as Rusev begins a ruthless beat down, continuing to swing the chair down as there are no disqualifications. After feeling satisfied, he tosses the chair aside and steps up to his corner, climbing up enough to reach the Russian flag and pull it out of it's stand. Rusev def. United States Champion Dean Ambrose in 9:22.
The crowd boos as Rusev steps down from the corner, waving the Russian flag proudly over his head. Lana comes in to the ring and after the two look to one another, Lana gives a nod. Rusev proceeds to deliver a stomp to the lower back of Ambrose and then, with the flag, proceeds to apply The Accolade! He digs the base of the flag in to the face as Ambrose yells out in pain and kicks his legs, trying to find a way out. Rusev doesn't let up, however, until Ambrose begins to fade away. Once he does, 'The Bulgarian Brute' pulls back and lets him drop to the mat. He gets on to his feet again and raises the flag over his head, Lana holding his arm up with a smile as a message has been sent and Rusev now may be in line for a future United States title match!
Cutting backstage, Eric Bischoff is seen in his office again and in comes The Usos. He thanks them for coming in and says that he wants them to take a turn spinning the wheel tonight their stipulation in their match. Jimmy spins it and after it goes around for a while, it comes to a stop on 'mystery opponent'. Bischoff rubs his hands and says that's good, he thinks he has a couple of guys to go against them that they have never had the pleasure of seeing. "At least... not this type of team... so head on out there guys and good luck." They nod and exit, in action next.
After the time away, Jimmy and Jey Uso are in the ring waiting. After some time just standing there, out to the stage comes a young man that is identified by Michael Cole as NXT's Xavier Woods. He holds a microphone in his hand and has a smile across his face. "Ladies, gentlemen and boys and girls! Put your hands together and feel the power! Feel the power of something... extraordinary! Feel the power of a new style, a new way... a NEW! DAY!" Everyone seems to be confused as some funky soul music begins to play, the likes of Kofi Kingston and Big E making their way out together, clapping their hands in rhythm along with Woods. "Well, guys, I suppose the man Kofi Kingston was telling Big E about was Xavier Woods..." Cole says. "And now they've come out here with a pretty positive attitude!" JBL says it may indeed be a new day for them as Woods said, but they've got to go up against a pair of former WWE Tag Team Champions! The Usos vs Kofi Kingston and Big E (w/Xavier Woods): The match begins between Big E and Jimmy, the prior using his size to dominate early. He backs off quickly as soon as he is told by the referee, clapping his hands with a smile to the confusion of Jimmy. He continues to use his power but obeys by the rules, making a tag to Kingston. The high flyer comes in and ends up doing the same thing but gets his momentum stopped as he is hit with a ginormous dropkick that sends him through the ropes! Big E goes to check on his partner and Jimmy tags in Jey, the brothers charging across the ring and dive over the top rope in to their opponents! After doing some work to Kingston in the ring, Jey goes to the top rope but misses on the splash! Kingston gets back up and ducks underneath a superkick, hitting off the ropes as Big E makes a blind tag. He returns and catches the arm, spinning Jey around and hitting him with Trouble in Paradise! Big E comes in from behind and he hoists Jey on to his shoulder, delivering the Big Ending! Kofi stays in place to hold Jimmy from breaking the pin as Big E hooks the legs for the three count. Kofi Kingston and Big E def. The Usos in 5:34.Big E pops on to his feet and hugs Kingston, the two starting up a clap once again along with Woods as he comes in to the ring with them. Jimmy comes in to the ring to check on his brother as the trio continues to stay positive as they exit the ring, The Usos left just watching them go.
The crowd is looked after following the break and soon, the theme music of Kevin Owens hits. He makes his way out on his own, no fellow Purge members along with him for once. He comes in to the ring with a smile across his face and a microphone in his hand. "In case you missed it last night at Summerslam... there is a certain some one standing here right now that beat CM Punk just twenty four hours ago." He grins to the crowd as they give him majority boos. Owens shrugs his shoulders and says that he took Punk down like he promised and now that he it is all over and done with him, he is ready to move on to bigger and better things. "Bigger and better things like the WWE Championship..." He says to some commotion from the fans. Owens raises his eyebrows and says that he understands the dilemma after what happened earlier on with Bray Wyatt and Bryan Danielson but quite frankly, he doesn't give a damn about any of that. "It may sound a bit harsh because of the severity of the situation, but that stuff doesn't involve me so honestly... I really, really don't give a damn and all I could care about right now is that title belt on the shoulder of Bryan and taking it away." Before he has a chance to say anything more, he is cut off by the music of none other than Roman Reigns to a pop from the crowd. Reigns makes his way down to the ring and has a bit of a limp, still showing the effects of his battle with Brock Lesnar last night. He gets up across the ring from Owens, whom seems to be amused by his presence. "Yeah, Kevin. You were impressive last night... I'll give you that. But if anybody is deserving of a shot at the WWE Championship I think you have to take a long look at me..." Owens steps forward and begins to laugh, asking Reigns if he is serious. He points out how he got his ass kicked last night and Reigns is quick to respond, saying that he did but he is still coming out here tonight because he is determined and never stops fighting. As the two get in to each other's face and seem poised for a fight, Antonio Cesaro's music hits and he makes his way out along with Paul Heyman, the two storming down to the ring with each other and Heyman calling for the attention of the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen... Kevin Owens may have gotten a victory over the likes of CM Punk last night... but you know who destroyed CM Punk a while back? Brock Lesnar! You know who destroyed Mr. Roman Reigns last night? Brock Lesnar! You know who took John Cena to the absolute limit last night...? Antonio Cesaro!" He points to his client and says that if anybody deserves the next shot at the WWE Championship, it is him! Reigns steps forward and tells Heyman that last night he damn near beat Lesnar and he is sure he'd whoop Cesaro's ass no problem because he knows for a fact he can't even compare. Before the two can go at it, Randy Orton makes his presence known - calling for his music to be cut as he comes down the ramp. "Pardon the interruption, gentlemen, but the way I see it... Antonio, Roman you've had your chances. Kevin... you just haven't proven enough... I haven't had a world championship around my waist for over two years and time and time again I have continued to prove why I am the most dangerous man in this company today..." He gets in the ring and Owens scoffs at the words, asking Orton if he has seen what himself, Solomon Crowe and Sami Zayn of The Purge have done. Then he reminds himself that he was defeated by the WWE Tag Team Champions last night. Speaking of the match, Orton's partner Alberto Del Rio
joins in on the conversation, saying that much like Randy he has treated wrong when it comes to getting world title shots. "Although we were partners last night night, Randy, it doesn't mean I like you and I'll one up you by saying I haven't had the privilege of being champion since I beat you for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 27..." Orton tells him that he may want to step up for once then and get the job done unlike last night! Del Rio snaps back, noting how Orton is the one who got pinned. As all five bicker at each other, the entrance music of John Cena hits! He hits the ring to a ginormous loud, yet mixed, reaction from the Thomas & Mack Center. He gives a salute and comes down and in to the ring, looking around at the other five men. He puts his hands on his hips and smiles before pulling his own microphone up. "If we're all going to be out here talking about who deserves a shot at the WWE Championship next, how can you leave out your boy John Cena?" He says to another loud reaction of cheers and boos. "The way I see it, personally, is that all six of us are very good choices... yet, none of us are going to come out and say another one of us deserves it more than the other. But if you're all going to plead your case about yourself, allow me to plead mine!" He points to Orton and says that they came up in this business at the same time and they've been to war over and over again and over and over and over again he has managed to get one over on him. He turns over to Del Rio and says he is indeed right, he hasn't been champion in three years! That's because he was the one to take it away from him in the first place. Next, he goes on to Roman Reigns and says that he made his impactful debut taking him down, but he got right back up and when they faced in a Last Man Standing Match last year, he was indeed the last man standing. Next, he goes to Kevin Owens. The crowd gets a bit anxious for the big confrontation, Owens just raising his eyebrows while telling Cena he has nothing on him. "Nah, Mr. Owens! I haven't had the privilege of kicking your ass but if you ever got the urge to 'fight Owens fight' or even 'purge Owens purge', feel free to give me a call and I'll shut you down." The crowd gives a sharp 'ooh' as Cena moves on lastly to Cesaro, throwing his hands up. He says that last night Antonio had his chance but he blew it. He didn't get the job done and now he is standing here saying he deserves a WWE Championship match. "But how do you deserve a shot at the WWE Championship when you can't beat the man in the biggest match of your career?" The two have a long stare down and things get intense in the arena until General Manager Eric Bischoff interrupts from the titantron, telling everybody to relax! He says that after the circumstances of what happened earlier on, he had no choice but to make the match at Night of Champions between Bryan Danielson and Bray Wyatt official. But with all of this, he has come up with a perfect solution. "All six of you think you deserve a title shot... so why don't the six of you try and prove it? Starting right here tonight... we will begin a series of Elimination Chase matches. In the weeks leading up to Night of Champions, one of you will be eliminated every week until we get to the final two at Night of Champions. The winner of that final match will go on to be the new number one contender for the WWE Championship!" The crowd approves of the match, as do the superstars, as we have got quite a main event set!
A promo video airs for the next upcoming WWE pay-per-view, Night of Champions, with the official theme song, "Fire" by Gavin DeGraw. A voiceover comes in, saying that every single superstar, every single diva dreams one day of becoming a champion. On one night of the year, every championship is absolutely guaranteed to be defended, a night where every champion has no way to avoid giving the opportunity to a challenger, a night that could result in a total turnover on the WWE Universe. This night... is Night of Champions. Live on the WWE Network and pay-per-view on September 21, 2014 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee!
We get back and see footage from the commercial break where Wade Barrett spun the Raw Roulette wheel, landing on a Bodyslam Challenge! He would argue over it, but to no avail. Back in the arena, Barrett comes down to the ring along with The Commonwealth and he shakes his head as 'The World's Largest Athlete' Big Show makes his return to Raw - after making his official return on Smackdown last week - with a smile on his face over the favoring stipulation.
Bodyslam Challenge: Big Show vs Wade Barrett (w/The Commonwealth): As soon as the bell rings, Barrett puts his hands up to Show and tries to reason with him. Instead, though, he is hit with a knee to the gut. Show toys with him a bit, hitting some headbutts and hard fists in to the gut. Show grabs him by the throat but gets jabbed with elbows to the head. Barrett is quick to hop on to the second rope and leap off with an elbow to the top of the head. He hits a series of shots to the face and hits a hard kick to the knee that drops Show to one of his own. Barrett tries to pull him off the mat but obviously can't, allowing Show to shove him back and hit him with a big boot on the return. Show keeps toying around a bit and after a shushing the fans with Barrett in the corner, he hits a huge smack across the chest! He hits a Chokeslam after but it doesn't constitute as a body slam, so he brings Barrett up and over his head. After looking all around the arena, Show finally drops Barrett down to the mat with a thud, getting the victory. Big Show def. Wade Barrett in 3:23.
Show gets back on to his feet and raises his big hand up to the crowd. He gives a stare to The Commonwealth on the outside and exits the ring, the group coming in afterward to check on the leader of their stable. He sits up in pain and to add insult to injury, out to the stage comes The Miz and in trail, the newly personified former Commonwealth member Damien Mizdow. Miz gives a slow clap towards the ring, telling Barrett he put forth a good effort. Mizdow perfectly in-sync mimics each of Miz's movements and words, getting a laugh from the crowd. For Wade, however, it is no laughing matter as he slaps his hands in to the mat repeatedly in frustration.
We return to Wade Barrett and the rest of The Commonwealth backstage, the leader of the group clearly unhappy. "I've had just about enough of how things have gone lately..." He says to himself. "This is all your fault you know!" He shouts at Paige, whom looks completely shocked by his words. She asks him how in the world it could be her fault, to which Barrett says she has been a total distraction and he wouldn't have even lost the Intercontinental Championship way back at Extreme Rules! She is disgusted with him and scoffs. "You know what, Wade?" She says as he tries to interrupt, telling him to shut up and listen. "I've stayed at your side, at the side of The Commonwealth for an entire year now and maybe... just maybe I'm a bit sick and tired of it and maybe I'm a bit sick and tired of you." The crowd cheers her on in the background and she says that she has been manipulated in to being an evil bitch and really, she thinks the only evil bitch around here is Wade. Another big cheer comes from the crowd as she walks away, Wade left shouting her name. "You get back here, damn you!" He commands to no avail, rejecting any consoling from Regal, McIntyre or Rose. He mutters under his breath and storms off, The Miz and Damien Mizdow seen watching from afar with smiles across their faces.
Once again, we see Eric Bischoff backstage for Raw Roulette to continue on and in to his office with him is Tyson Kidd and Natalya. Kidd has his headphones on and Bischoff realizes it as he is trying to talk to him, asking Natalya to do the honors of spinning the wheel for his match. She does so with a smile and it lands on 'Blast From the Past'! Bischoff says he was hoping we'd get to that tonight because he has a hell of an opponent lined up. He wishes Kidd luck and Natalya drags him along, Tyson looking up late to take notice of it. "Blast from the what?" He says as he leaves the room. As the door closes, it opens right back up and in comes, to heavy boos, the new Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins. He pats the title on his shoulder and holds up his briefcase, telling Eric that last night couldn't have gone any better and things worked out perfect for them. "You know... I thought I'd invite the guys to come along, too, here tonight. Is that cool with you?" In to the room comes the two masked, all-black wearing men and Bischoff says that of course it is! He hired them for a reason and that is to protect his investment. Rollins pats the General Manager on the back and says that he is really glad this is going so well, so well that he wants to have a match tonight and he'll spin the wheel for it! Bischoff tells him to have a go at it and Rollins spins it, chatting up some more about how he is back to being the Intercontinental Champion and he will never lose it again like he did the last time. The roulette wheel stops on a 'Replay Match', which Rollins laughs at - asking what in the world that means. Bischoff doesn't share the laugh, however, as he goes on to explain. "A replay match, Seth, is that you have to compete in the exact same match that you last competed in... so, you have to face AJ Styles... for the Intercontinental Championship." The crowd is ecstatic over the information, but Rollins is livid! He screams that can't be right and Bischoff says he wanted a match and spun the wheel and that is what he got! He asks Rollins if he isn't confident in himself, but of course he assures Bischoff he is confident. After adjusting his title belt, he tells the two 'security' team members to come with him and he storms out of the office, saying he'll be just fine.
'Replay Match' for the Intercontinental Championship: Seth Rollins(c) (w/Masked Security Team) vs AJ Styles: The bell rings and the two lock up with each other, Styles fast to take control of the match and get multiple near falls. The security team on the outside hits a big double clothesline on Styles with Rollins distracting the official before tossing him back in to the ring, allowing Seth to go for the pin and get a two count. The Intercontinental Champion takes control of the match and keeps Styles grounded, working the neck in particular. He talks trash in the process and after tossing AJ to the outside, drives a hard boot in to the neck against the steel steps! He puts his hands up to the booing crowd and a commercial comes in between the contest. After the time away, Rollins continues to dominate the contest and gets plenty help from his masked security unit with the official's back turned, not allowing Styles to get anything going in favor of him. Rollins takes his time and goes for the Curb Stomp with a cocky smile, AJ managing to move out of the way and get to his feet - delivering a big Pele Kick! He rattles him with a big tornado DDT and starts to brew up some momentum. He ends up launching himself off the top rope in to the masked men, coming back in to the ring to a superkick! Rollins gets a close near fall off it and argues the count. He begins a vicious beat down and after completely going through Styles for a few minutes, he orders for his masked security team to bring him a steel chair! He slaps it to the mat a few times but before he has a chance to use it, everyone is surprised as 'Cult of Personality' hits! CM Punk proceeds to make his presence known, running down the ramp with a chair of his own! He swings it in to the gut of one of the masked security guards and then jabs it to the other one before cracking it across the back! Punk gets on to the apron with a grin and holds the chair up to a cheer from the crowd, Rollins storming over and swinging his chair, Punk avoiding it and letting Rollins hit the ropes and have the chair bounce in to his own face! He stumbles around and walks right in to a Pele Kick! Styles proceeds to roll his way out to the apron and go off the top rope with the Spiral Tap! Punk remains standing on the outside watching for the security team as Styles hooks both legs up for the one, two, three! AJ Styles def. Seth Rollins to become the NEW Intercontinental Champion in 13:18.
The Vegas crowd pops as Styles gets on to his feet in a bit of shock, being presented with his second Intercontinental Championship just twenty four hours after losing it! "Are you kidding me right now!?" Exclaims JBL, questioning what CM Punk is doing out here screwing Seth Rollins the way he did! Cole does explain how Punk was screwed over by Rollins and Bischoff way back at Money in the Bank when he made his return and the two did have a heated confrontation last night, so maybe he is just getting his revenge! JBL continues to argue against it as Styles keeps his celebration going with the crowd, now a two time Intercontinental Champion!
Back from the break, Seth Rollins is seen fuming backstage with his Masked Security Team as they make their way through the halls and in to the office of the General Manager himself, Eric Bischoff. "Are you kidding me!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Rollins shouts while running his hand through his hair repeatedly in disbelief, saying what just happened out there with CM Punk needs to be fixed right now. Bischoff puts his hands up and says he doesn't know what Rollins wants him to do because he wanted to spin the wheel, he got the match and yes, Punk screwed him over. Rollins just shakes his head and tells Bischoff that he wants his rematch against AJ on Thursday. "I'll have no problem becoming a three time Intercontinental Champion, Eric... book it right now. Book it!" He breaths heavily and the GM nods, saying that he can do. Before Rollins leaves, however, he suggests that they make it even more interesting and he points to the Raw Roulette wheel. Rollins takes a moment and rubs his chin before giving it a spin, nodding to his security team until it lands on a Steel Cage Match! Rollins' eyes widen at the sight of it as the WWE Universe pops in the background, Bischoff at a loss for words as Rollins storms out!
Back to the ring, Tyson Kidd and Natalya are in waiting as Kidd spun the Raw Roulette wheel earlier on and landed on 'Blast From the Past Match'. After waiting a few moments, the arena goes wild at some very familiar music hitting! Shortly after, the building goes wild once again as they pop for the arrival of none other than Vegas' own, The Godfather! He is accompanied by two beautiful women and they all come down and in to the ring, Godfather with a microphone in his hands as a chant of his name rings out. He laughs and encourages the crowd to quiet down so 'a pimp' can speak! "Tyson Kidd, huh?" He says, Natalya taking her husband's headphones off so he can listen. "Tyson, you're a young guy who has been around for a little while now... yeah, The Godfather still be watching once in a while when he has some down time!" He winks to the crowd while leaning his sunglasses down, saying that he feels that he thinks Kidd needs to get loosened up and instead of facing him here tonight, he is going to offer him the opportunity to take his ladies and have a good time on the Vegas strip here tonight! The WWE Universe gives approval towards Kidd, whom looks to all of them. He raises his eyebrows to Natalya and points to the girls, Natalya slapping his hand down. Kidd, however, starts to walk over with a smile but instead of taking the women, he kicks Godfather right in the stomach! His 'escorts', as Lawler calls them, and Natalya quickly get out of the ring as the referee backs Kidd up, checking on Godfather before signaling for the bell to be rung and for the match to begin.
Blast From the Past Match: Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya) vs The Godfather (w/Escorts): Kidd runs up and is surprised as he is dropped with a boot to the face! Godfather gets approval from his girls on the outside as he pulls Kidd back up, getting his eyes raked. Tyson dropkicks him to the mat and begins to stomp away at him, throwing rapid punches and kicks up against the corner as Godfather gets back on to his feet, refusing to let up. Godfather shoves him back suddenly and Kidd smacks him across the face! A loud 'ooh' comes from the crowd as Godfather steps forward, hitting a few punches before getting his legs swept out from under him, Tyson quick to apply the Sharpshooter! Godfather doesn't last long before having to submit to the hold.Tyson Kidd def. The Godfather in 1:44. Kidd lets go of the hold and raises his fists up high over his head. He runs right to the corner, up to the second rope as he celebrates his victory to boos from the crowd. Natalya comes in to the ring and tries to get a hug from Kidd but he walks right past her to keep the celebration going as Godfather rolls out of the ring, being assisted by his escorts to the back.
Coming back from commercial, Diva's Champion AJ Lee is backstage having a conversation to the side. The cameras pan out to show her talking to nobody. Just a few moments later, AJ is surprised as Paige walks up to her with her head down. "Is there something you need, Paige?" Questions the Diva's Champion, getting a nod in response. Paige says that they have had their obvious differendeces over the past year, but she really thinks that after last night with what went down with Wade Barrett tagging himself in, she deserves another shot at the belt. AJ smiles to Paige and adjusts her title belt over her shoulder, saying that she has had quite a few shots to get the title back and has come up short repeatedly. "AJ... this is different. I don't want anything else on my mind with Wade or The Commonwealth or anything... I just want you versus me. No outside distractions, nothing." AJ thinks for a moment and says she'll consider it, but in the mean time suggests that Paige start proving herself to not just her, but everybody else. AJ skips away with a smile on her face, Paige nodding as she seems very determined.
Over in to the office of the General Manager, Eric Bischoff, we go once again as he sits on the couch shaking his head while on the phone. In to the room comes 'The Man That Gravity Forgot' Adrian Neville and he excuses himself, Bischoff just encouraging him to just spin the wheel. He shrugs his shoulders and does so, eventually landing on 'Player's Choice'. He nods and says that he thinks he knows what that means, asking Bischoff for clarification - the GM pulling his phone away with an annoyed look on his face, telling Neville that he gets to pick any opponent he wants for his match tonight. He goes back on to his phone and Adrian nods, only to turn right around and bump in to Cody Rhodes. The crowd boos his appearance as he has a sinister grin across his face, telling Neville he wants to offer his congratulations on getting 'Player's Choice'. "But let me make it easy for you, Adrian... your opponent tonight is going to be me." Confused, Neville asks Rhodes why he should pick him - to which Cody tells him that is just the way it is. The two have a long stare down and Adrian finally breaks, telling Rhodes that he is on. "You're going to regret it, too." Neville warns as he brushes by Rhodes, leaving the room.
At ringside following the break, the commentary team talks about what happened to open the show up where WWE Champion Bryan Danielson was giving his victory speech after last night's successful title defense, when Bray Wyatt would appear and have Bryan's wife, Brie Bella, held hostage. After making some threats, Wyatt would demand another WWE Championship match which Danielson would accept in order to free his wife. Bray, however, would "change his mind" and take Brie, having Luke Harper lay Bryan out. Before Cole can elaborate more on things, the signature of The Wyatt Family hits! On the titantron appears Bray Wyatt in a foggy mist with a long, disturbing chuckle. "You gave me what I wanted, Bryan... you made the right decision. You gave me my match... for your wife's safety... Noble of you... But the thing about it is, man... you have what I want most... So I took what you want most!" He twirls his finger with a grin, saying that soon enough all will be right in the world and himself, Bryan Danielson and Brie Bella will all live happily ever after. He warns 'run!' and the signature of The Wyatt Family hits once again.
Player's Choice Match: Adrian Neville vs Cody Rhodes: The match begins and Neville is quick to utilize his quick feet. After using his hands to flip all the way across the ring, however, he is blindsided by an early Disaster Kick! Rhodes gets a very close near fall off it and out of his own frustration, begins a vicious beat down on Neville - getting close to disqualification multiple times. He gets in the face of the official after the fourth warning on a count of four and it allows Neville to blast him with a big kick to the back of the head, followed by a leaping DDT while pushing off the corner turnbuckles! He goes for the pin but gets just a near fall from it. Neville is first on to his feet and he keeps his momentum going, Rhodes trying to get back in to the match only to keep getting stopped. After a bridging German suplex leads to a two count, Neville hits a hard spinning kick to the gut followed by a superkick! He goes out to the apron and climbs to the top rope, seeming poised to hit the Red Arrow. Before he has the chance to leap off, however, Rhodes gets back on to his feet and shoves Neville down to the floor on the outside! The crowd gasps as Neville hits hard and rolls up against the barricade, Cody rolling out after him. As the referee gets out fast to try and hold Rhodes back to check on Neville, he gets tossed aside! With the crowd booing, Rhodes begins a ruthless beat down with fists to the head of Adrian. As he keeps on going, the referee calls for the bell and the disqualification. Adrian Neville def. Cody Rhodes via disqualification in 6:38.
Rhodes continues to drive punches to the face and he forces Neville on to his feet, tossing him in to the steel steps! He looks all around the booing arena with a sick smile on his face, as this new, destructive Cody Rhodes is quite a scary one and a force to be reckoned with.
John Cena vs Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton vs Antonio Cesaro (w/Paul Heyman) vs Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio in the First Elimination Chase Match: The bell is rung, all hell breaking loose immediately. Reigns is quickly taken out by Owens as his clearly injured ribs are a target early, being tossed in to the barricade. In the ring, Cesaro and Cena go at it as they did last night, only for this time Cesaro to get one over and deliver a huge tossing uppercut that leads to a near fall. Del Rio rushes to Cesaro and targets the arm, only for Antonio to break away and turn right in to the RKO! Before Orton can go for the pin, however, he manages to roll out of the ring. Orton gets in to a battle with his partner from last night in Del Rio, dropping him with the RKO as well! Alberto follows Antonio's strategy and quickly rolls out of the ring, Orton marching around the ring all fired up as a commercial break comes in. After the time away, we have the match continuing to go in and out of the ring, all six men just brawling. Owens starts a string of domination, dropping everyone. He takes Del Rio on the outside and ends up tossing him right over the barricade and in to the crowd! He gets blindsided, however, by Cena running at him and sending him right through the barricade! The crowd pops for the spot as back in the ring, Cesaro and Orton go at it. After the Neutralizer on Orton, Cesaro gets back up and is ran at by Reigns for a Superman Punch, avoiding it and dropping him with a series of uppercuts on the return. They spill to the outside and in to the ring comes Cena, getting a near fall on Orton. Both men stagger back on to their feet and the two long-time rivals go at it, exchanging close finishers as neither can fully execute. Finally, Cena manages to hit the Attitude Adjustment! He turns, however, to Cesaro coming in to the ring and dropping him with a clothesline! He stomps at him and yells in anger and frustration, telling him he had him beat last night! Cesaro takes a lot of time to gloat, however, and turns right in to a Superman Punch from Reigns! Antonio is slow to his feet, turning right in to the Spear! Reigns hooks both legs up for the one, two, three! John Cena, Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton def. Antonio Cesaro in the Elimination Chase in 16:44.
The crowd cheers the result as Reigns gets back to his feet, falling against the ropes holding his ribs. He looks to the outside as Paul Heyman is in disbelief that his client is the first gone in the Elimination Chase, his hands over his head. Reigns steps up to the ropes and puts his fist to his former manager's face, nodding to him as we have trimmed the chase down to five men. "What a travesty... Antonio Cesaro deserves so much better..." Utters JBL, as the other five superstars all look to one another, all talking trash to one another as some make the motion around their waist for the WWE Championship, as the Elimination Chase will continue next week. From Sin City, Las Vegas, Nevada - Monday Night Raw draws to an end.

| | Bryan Danielson, albeit the WWE Champion, went in to Summerslam as the underdog to Bray Wyatt. After pulling off a surprise victory, Bray would make things personal by taking Danielson's wife, Brie Bella, hostage for a second chance at the WWE Championship - a challenge Bryan accepted. | While Bryan Danielson and Bray Wyatt are battling against one another, six other men have been given the opportunity to get the next title shot. John Cena, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Antonio Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio were those six men, competing in an Elimination Chase. |
A very special thank you to Elliot for all Night of Champions graphics.

Excellent episode of Raw. Bray kidnapping Brie for a rematch at Night of Champions is a great angle, and maybe now it will be the Mad King who walks out of Night of Champions with the WWE Championship. Really nice graphics for Night of Champions also. Alright first spin of the wheel tonight and it's by none other than the United States Champion, Dean Ambrose. A flag match against Rusev? Very smart booking here and going into the non title match I think Rusev going over is the right call. Will Ambrose vs. Rusev happen on Night of Champions for the title? Will we see the same result as tonight? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z! The Uso spinning the wheel and it's a mystery opponent. Xavier Woods! Wait oh it'ssssss time to feeeeeeeel the pooooooower! It's a New Day! Yes it is! Popped hard for The New Day debut and it's clear that to me the New Day does indeed rock. Having New Day go over is great, curious however as to where you will be taking them. The heel or face route, I hope by them facing The Usos this means we'll see a heel New Day but only time can tell. This next segment was all over the place with guys coming out left and right, felt like a promo that would happen before the Royal Rumble or Money in the Bank. The Elimination Chase concept is very cool and also really exciting, can't wait to see who will end up in the finals. Big Show returning on Raw to take on Barrett in a Bodyslam match. Of course with suffering another loss you have to be wondering what The Commonwealth thinks of Wade! Miz and Mizdow coming out after the match is interesting and then the segment after was nice. Is this a full Paige face turn? Again find out next time on Dragon Ball Z! A replay match? Hm, sounds interesting! Really didn't expect Styles to go over for the Intercontinental Championship again. Punk causing the interference was good and I fully expect a Punk/Rollins match at Night of Champions. A rematch on Smackdown for the Intercontinental Championship in a steel cage? That'll put the butts in the seats! Get onnnnnnn theeeeeeeeee hooooooooooo train! Godfather making a one night return is always welcomed and Tyson going over was the obvious decision. Nice booking on that. With that Paige/AJ segment I think it's clear that Paige will be face going forward and I do not mind at all. Cody vs. Neville? I like it. Very nice Bray promo and really already have me hooked for the next chapter in this feud. Cody beating Neville by dq just goes to show how he's a changed man as of late and tonight just as he did last night was here to be brutal. Cody being this destructive is a nice change of pace and I could easily see him with a US or Intercontinental Championship reign in the near future. Main Event time! Seeing Cesaro being the first eliminated was an interesting choice, I thought it'd be Del Rio going first for sure. None the less with the five men we have left in the Chase I expect the finals to be Cena vs. Reigns or Owens. I do think Owens could be a number one contender for the WWE Championship already, though maybe not actually being champion just yet. All in all another great Monday Night Raw and we are on the road to Night of Champions!

- Bray Wyatt kidnapping Brie Bella, Bryan Danielson's wife, the WWE Champion's wife I mean that is one way to get his attention but at the same time The Mad King The Eater of Worlds The One in 21-1 he just made things personal with the WWE Champion I mean it is one thing to go after a man for his title but when you go after his family you basically made things personal or you took them to a whole other level which I think it may be a mistake on Bray Wyatt's part because he very well may have just brought out a monster in Danielson that we might not even know that he has but it is mind games on Bray Wyatt's part so I have to appreciate the irony but at the same time the rematch is set, it is going to happen at Night of Champions with Bryan Danielson defending his title against Bray Wyatt, Bryan Danielson vs Bray Wyatt II the rematch I can't wait because their first encounter at SummerSlam with the title on the line Danielson barely escaped with his title in tact but will lightning strike twice? Or will Bray Wyatt finally realize his destiny and become WWE Champion?
- WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose losing to Rusev in a Flag Match, this just guarantees that my prediction in terms of feuds is finally going to happen, Ambrose losing to Rusev all be it in a non-title match it basically sets up Rusev for a WWE United States Championship title shot against Ambrose and considering the tear Rusev has been on ever since debuting in this diary at WrestleMania 30 when he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and then beat Big Show at Extreme Rules he has been on a tear and now Rusev he is pretty much set for a title reign with the WWE United States Championship I mean it is inevitable at this point and if it happens it is happening at Night of Champions that is pretty much inevitable
- The Usos having a mystery opponent and that mystery opponent turns out to be The New Day, The New Day making their debut as a stable with NXT's Xavier Woods making his debut alongside Big E and Kofi who is a former World Champion and Mr. Money in the Bank, I am so stoked for The New Day, feel the power and clap for The New Day, it's a New Day yes it is, but I wonder if The New Day will be babyfaces? Or if they will be heels? Because in this match it was too early to tell so maybe over these next few weeks we will find out just where they stand but The New Day I can see them being a threat in the WWE Tag Team division
- The Elimination Chase, I love this concept and with these 6 men all of them have the potential to become #1 Contender for the WWE Championship and if they do become #1 Contender it is obvious that they will get their WWE Championship match at Hell in a Cell which is the next PPV after Night of Champions so who it will be? The 6 men involved being Kevin Owens of The Purge, Randy Orton, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio and Paul Heyman's client Antonio Cesaro, any one of these men I can see them being in the Cell for their match for the WWE Championship against the WWE Champion whoever he may be whether that be Bryan Danielson the current WWE Champion or Bray Wyatt
- Big Show made his return on Smackdown all be it in a losing effort against Roman Reigns but now that he is back on RAW he wins his return match on RAW by beating Wade Barrett in a Bodyslam Challenge, it is clear Wade Barrett nothing seems to be going well for him or his men in The Commonwealth I mean Wade Barrett ever since he has lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship back at Extreme Rules he has been on a downwards spiral ever since and then losing at SummerSlam last night in the Intergender Mixed Tag Team Winner Take All Match for the WWE United States Championship & WWE Divas Championship it seems the beginning of the end for The Commonwealth is pretty much a reality now
- Paige walking out on Barrett and The Commonwealth that spoke volumes, Barrett has lost his girlfriend his fiancee she just broke up with him and she pretty much has left The Commonwealth, if this is a babyface turn of Paige then I mean it was pretty much inevitable
- How many chances does Paige want for the WWE Divas Championship? I mean like seriously AJ Lee has beaten Paige like how many times now? What makes Paige so worthy of a WWE Divas Championship match? Like she needs to do more to convince not only AJ but the rest of us just why she deserves another shot because she has lost to AJ how many times now and especially with the title on the line? How long has AJ Lee been WWE Divas Champion now in this diary? I think AJ Lee she has been WWE Divas Champion since WrestleMania 30 in this diary
- AJ Styles in this diary becomes a 2-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, AJ winning the title for a 2nd time, he wins his title back not even 1 day after losing it to Rollins, now Rollins is no longer the WWE Intercontinental Champion but Rollins he still has Money in the Bank and he can cash in his briefcase at any time any where to become WWE Champion so Rollins shouldn't even be worried and not to mention if it wasn't for CM Punk's intervention then Rollins would have retained his title so Styles should be thanking CM Punk for the assist even though Styles probably didn't need it but still I think the reason why Punk cost Rollins his title is because of the backstage encounter they had last night at SummerSlam but also this is Punk's way of paying Rollins and Bischoff back because if it wasn't for Bischoff costing Punk the Money in the Bank Ladder Match back at Money in the Bank in July then Punk would be Mr. Money in the Bank right now for an unprecedented 3rd time so Punk he even said it out of his own mouth that there would come a time where he would get back at Rollins and Bischoff well he did
- Rollins is livid backstage well I can't blame him given how Punk just interfered in his match and cost him the WWE Intercontinental Championship considering Rollins was both Mr. Money in the Bank and the WWE Intercontinental Champion but now that that is no longer the case, Rollins wants his rematch and Bischoff makes it happen and it will be decided by the RAW Roulette wheel and it lands on a Steel Cage Match, the Steel Cage Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship will be this Thursday on Smackdown, that is great because in a steel cage it is 1 on 1, no one gets into the cage only one man can leave the cage and win either by pinfall, submission or escaping the cage, guarantees that we will have a winner one way or the other so I am happy
- I think it is safe to say that Cody Rhodes has become a changed man, he has become much more ruthless, darker, vicious, more psychotic in the ring and I love it because Cody Rhodes reminds me so much of Randy Orton when he became The Viper back in 2007-08 when he started punting superstars in the skull and went on to become darker and psychotic well I love this metamorphosis of Cody Rhodes because after the way he ended his own brother Goldust last night at SummerSlam I think it is safe to say that Cody Rhodes it is only a matter of time before he has championship gold around his waist I mean it is inevitable
- In the main event, Elimination Chase, John Cena vs Kevin Owens vs Antonio Cesaro vs Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio vs Roman Reigns and it ends with Cesaro being the first one to be eliminated now that is a shocker a real shocker because I definitely was not expecting that but also Cesaro it seems that ever since he became a Paul Heyman Guy it is like his career has gone on a downward spiral because Cesaro he was Mr. Money in the Bank and he went on to cash in and become WWE Champion at Money in the Bank only to lose his title a month later in a WWE Championship Fatal 4 Way Match at Battleground and he loses at SummerSlam last night to John Cena and then gets eliminated here in the main event I think it is safe to say that Cesaro's time as a Heyman Guy his days of being a Heyman Guy are numbered
- But now only 5 men are left in the Elimination Chase that being Owens, Orton, Del Rio, Reigns and Cena and I think we will get the 2nd Elimination Chase Match on Smackdown this Thursday and if we do then I wonder who will be the next man to be eliminated?
