From the US Scene Forum in Birmingham, AL on Thursday, January 13, 2011 - "Quite Deadly Poison"
| Michael Tarver wins the first competition of Season Two - punching machine; Brodus Clay defeats Derrick Bateman; Tito Colón defeats Michael Tarver; Jackson Andrews and Byron Saxton defeat Jerrelle Clark and Joe Anoa'i |
Tarver hits the hardest on the punching machine with Clay coming in second and Colón last; Clay hits a sit out chokebomb on Bateman to get the pinfall; Colón victory rolls Tarver up out of nowhere to pin him; Saxton hits a top rope DDT on Anoa'i before getting the pin.

| The Colóns defeat The Usos; Evan Bourne defeats R-Truth |
A short tag match up with back and forth action. Carlito hits the Backstabber on Jules to get the pinfall; Truth uses tons of heel tactics throughout the main event but is finished with the Air Bourne.

INTRO: THURSDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWNThe opening pyros go off as the arena is scanned over, Jim Ross and Josh Mathews welcoming everybody to Thursday Night Smackdown. In the main event tonight we will see two pick your poison matches between WWE Champion Kane and the Rated R Superstar and challenger for the gold, Edge. Following the introduction, Triple H makes his way out following the run down of what is to happen tonight and he gets booed all the way down to the ring. Once finished up, he stands in the middle of the ring with a microphone and looks around. He speaks and says that last week he had the opportunity to take away Edge's title match at the Royal Rumble and have it all for himself. But instead, his so-called partner and friend Kurt Angle got himself involved. The arena gives a mixed reaction and Hunter says that he is sick and tired of having Kurt cost him all these opportunities and he wants him out here right now! After a short period of silence, Kurt comes down to the ring slowly and silently. He stares down with Hunter for a moment. He takes the mic away from him and says he explained himself after the match last week that it wasn't intentional to get him to lose that match. In fact, he went out there so he could win it. Hunter takes the mic away from him and tells him that he doesn't know if he should believe him. Angle has always been known for his giant ego and the ultimate question to be asked in this situation is - "do I forgive - or do I get even?" He drops the mic and gets face to face with Kurt. He pleads with him and the crowd goes wild as Hunter backs him into the corner. Angle begins to beg that he doesn't hurt him. He keeps on pleading for a while until Hunter backs off. Angle exits the ring quickly and backs up the ramp as they stare down. COMMERCIAL BREAK Kofi Kingston

A feud from last year relived here. The bell rings and Kingston gets Danielson cornered and pounds him with kicks and strikes. Danielson catches him after a couple of minutes and throws him to the mat. He applies a series of submission holds but Kingston constantly gets out. After they are back up he nails a huge Trouble In Paradise out of nowhere. He only gets a two count, though. He gets up and goes for the Boom Drop but Danielson rolls away and quickly scrambles and puts in the Cattle Mutilation. Kingston fights a while but can't get free and taps.

 (7:47) ***

Danielson rises up to his feet and wanders around Kingston a while. He looks around to the crowd as he leans down to grasp hold of his neck. The arena boos as he pulls Danielson back up with a smirk and goes to clothesline him. Kingston ducks away, however, and as soon as Danielson turns around he is hit with the Trouble In Paradise! Kingston pops right back up to his feet as Bryan rolls out of the ring. He makes himself to the back slowly.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return to a promo video of the press conference of Mexican star, Mistico. The announcement of Jim Ross calling him Sin Cara is shown and moments of pictures being taken as well. Finally, a graphic is shown that he will be coming to the WWE soon.Winner Faces For the Women's Championship at Royal Rumble |
Melina vs Serena

The bell rings and the two lock up quickly. Serena takes early control with her strength and gets a few near falls on Melina. However, this match ends quickly as Melina slips off from a powerslam and rolls Serena up for the sudden three count.

Winner of the match via pinfall, Melina (3:38) *1/2

Following the match, Melina gets to her feet. She yells out to the booing crowd as April Lee comes out to the ramp slowly. She has a microphone in her hand and she laughs a little bit. She congratulates Melina on her win before telling her not to get too excited with it. Because when they face off at the Royal Rumble event it will be her still holding on to the Women's Championship. She gives a wave and walks to the back as Melina screams at her.
We cut backstage and Kane is seen standing in a room. He says he'd like for him to face Edge for him tonight. He's probably the only other person on this roster besides himself that can destroy him. He asks if he wants to do it. Still silence. Kane then nods and says it's on.COMMERCIAL BREAK Randy Orton

The bell sounds and Orton immediately fires away with shots to Kane. However, he is rocked and floored to the mat multiple times. A series of slams, boots, and strikes from the Big Red Machine for a couple of minutes. Orton begins to fight back though and eventually hits the RKO out of nowhere. Kane rolls out of the ring though. They continue to fight on the outside and Kane ends up grabbing a chair. He goes to hit Orton with it but it is avoided so he instead drops it on the apron. Orton then fires away at him and eventually gets him in the ring. He continues to work Kane for the next minute or so and then prepares to go for the RKO again. Kane pushes him off though and scoops the chair up. He nails Orton right in the face as soon as he comes back.

Winner of the match via disqualification, Randy Orton (9:12) ***

Orton holds onto his head and Kane stands over him with an evil smile. He scoops the chair back up slowly but the crowd begins to cheer. He turns around to Edge in the ring and he nails him with a spear! The arena goes wild and the Rated R Superstar pops to his feet and taunts over the WWE Champion. He then helps Orton back to his feet and they stare each other down. Orton nods to him and slowly passes by and exits the ring carefully.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return and Ricardo Rodriguez is announced by Tony Chimel. He proceeds to make the introduction of Alberto Del Rio. He comes driving out in one of his beautiful cars and eventually brings himself to the ring. He gets on the mic to the booing crowd and sarcastically thanks them for the warm reception. He says that they will all be able to see him back in action next week following his tragic injury over the vacation around Christmas time back in Mexico - a place so much better than where all "the pathetic saps here" live. He gets some heat and says that he'd like to remind them that the Royal Rumble is in just a couple of weeks and he wants to remind everybody that it is his destiny to win the Royal Rumble match! Nobody - and he means absolutely nobody - can ruin the destiny of Alberto Del Rio! Some more boos as Del Rio struts around the ring and says that if anybody thinks that they can stop him - they can try him right now! He smiles as no response is given after a few moments. The lights then go out as he begins to speak. They come back on after a little while and The Undertaker stands behind him. The arena goes insane as the Raw superstar and phenom stares right at Del Rio. Ricardo comes running up to him and gets grabbed by the throat. Del Rio rushes at him but Taker reaches out to him. ADR quickly pulls himself free and gets out of the ring. He leaves Rodriguez to get chokeslammed in the middle of the ring as the crowd and commentators continue to go wild over the surprise appearance by the Dead Man. However, as Alberto backs up the ramp, the titantron begins to fuzz up much like on Raw. "Here comes..." is heard again and the 1.30.11 message comes across the screen as Taker just stares up at it. COMMERCIAL BREAK Big Show

The bell tolls and Show quickly gets hit with a series of strikes. Show begins to overpower him however. He tosses him across the ring a few times but eventually gets his legs clipped. Rhodes works the legs a lot to try and get him down and it eventually works. He nails a few knee drops but Show eventually gets up and chokeslams Rhodes in the middle of the ring. He then hooks both legs and gets the easy pinfall victory.

Winner of the match via pinfall, Big Show (6:01) **

Show stands up and raises his fist in the air but gets attacked from behind by Drew McIntyre. He fires away and keeps Show maintained until Rhodes is back up and joins in. Show goes for a double chokeslam on them but they manage to fight back and get free. They continue to work at him with shots and eventually get him to fall between the ropes and to the floor. They taunt with each other and point to the WrestleMania sign. McIntyre pulls Rhodes down and they stare each other down. Rhodes then shoves him and McIntyre shoves him right back. They continue to do it back and forth and then begin to throw shots! McIntyre eventually drives him back to the ropes and when he returns, he clotheslines Rhodes over the top and they both fall to the floor. They continue to trade shots until Show comes over to them and grabs them both by the throat and drop them through the announce table at the same time. He raises his fist up and yells out to the crowd.COMMERCIAL BREAK Alex Riley w/Jack Swagger

The bell rings and Rotundo rushes right into a big boot. Riley pounds down on him viciously and works him hard for a minute or so. Rotundo fights back a bit, however, but gets hit with a clothesline out of nowhere to stop his run. Riley hits the You're Dismissed and pins him.

 (3:15) *1/2

Following the match, Riley pops to his feet and begins to taunt. Swagger soon joins him in the ring and taunts as well as raising the NXT Season One winner's arm in victory. A-Ri motions for the United States Championship and says to the camera he's coming for Rey.
A promo video plays hyping up the history of the Royal Rumble match. It includes the most eliminations, most appearances, most times won, amount of people eliminated over every single event, and now this year - the most people ever in a Royal Rumble match.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return with Alex Riley and Jack Swagger still standing in the ring. Swagger grabs a microphone and says that last year he was standing here on Smackdown as the United States Champion. He was the champion for three months time and he has ever since longed for that championship back. However, he figured he may as well be the pro that he was on NXT and lead somebody to get that title instead because of how caring he truly is. The crowd give a boo at the obvious lie. He brags about leading the NXT Season One winner, Alex Riley, to his ultimate victory. He hands the mic off to Riley and he laughs a bit. He says he and Jack are a lot alike. They both like to talk loud and prove it in the ring. He laughs a bit more and says that in just two weeks time they will have another thing in common: both holders of the United States Championship! They high five each other and A-Ri goes to say more but Rey Mysterio interrupts. He comes out with the US Title raised up over his head and he slouches it over his shoulder before coming down to the ring and getting a mic of his own. Riley asks him how he is feeling after being pinned by him last week. Mysterio tells him to shut up. For one - it was a tag team match and it meant nothing whatsoever. Secondly - if he is going to be like Jack Swagger he's just going to end up being a failure so he's already screwed his whole career up. And lastly, when it comes to the Royal Rumble it will be a completely different story because he is going to dial up the 619 and make him look more pathetic than he already does. Swagger takes the mic away and tells Rey not to talk tough because he'll be the one looking pathetic when all that talk builds up to humiliation. Mysterio has heard enough and he decks Swagger. He fires away but Riley clubs him from behind. They both begin to beat down on the champion and Swagger eventually drags him back up. He sets up for the Gut Wrench Powerbomb, but instead tosses him to the mat and tells Riley to get him. He is hesitant at first, but then smiles and drags him back to his feet and delivers the You're Dismissed in the middle of the ring. He then scoops up the United States Championship and looks down at it. Swagger then goes over to him and raises his arm up and Riley proceeds to pull the gold up on the opposing side. We cut backstage to see Edge making his way down to the ring for his Pick Your Poison match in the main event!COMMERCIAL BREAKPick-Your-Poison Match Edge vs |
Ezekiel Jackson w/Ranjin Singh

The bell rings and Edge quickly gives some shots out before getting overpowered in the corner and knocked to the mat constantly. The Rated R Superstar nails an early spear following a missed corner clothesline but Jackson shows amazing durability once he kicks out at just a count of one. He staggers back up and Edge keeps control for a couple of minutes but eats boot after Jackson holds onto the ropes off an Irish whip. He ends up nailing the Book of Ezekiel right after Edge is up, but the foot is put on the bottom rope nearby on the pin attempt. Jackson gets angry and pulls him back up. He fires away with strikes in the corner and throws in some shoulders. He then goes for the Book of Ezekiel again, but Edge manages to push himself off and kick him in the stomach before proceeding to hit the Edgecution. He goes for the pin but only gets a two count! Nobody can believe it as Edge gets back up and crouches in the corner. He goes for the spear once Jackson is up but he anticipates the avoidance and hits off the ropes nearby and returns with a huge spear! He hooks both legs to finally put the behemoth away.

Winner of the match via pinfall, Edge (9:44) ***

Edge lays out on the mat and gives a sigh of relief. As he staggers to a knee, a huge pyro goes off on the stage and Kane comes down to the ring - apparently returning the favor of earlier. He gets into the ring and begins to trade blows with Edge. Once his challenger backs off, he nails him with a big boot on the return. He then takes off his WWE Championship belt and walks to the middle of the ring. He places it down carefully and then goes over to Edge once up. He grabs hold of him by the throat and says some words before yanking him up off the mat and upside down on his shoulder. He then proceeds to pull him to the middle of the ring and hit the Tombstone Piledriver right on the WWE title. He laughs sadistically as the spinner goes around over Edge's head as Smackdown ends.

Haven't checked on this in a while, so figured I would. Good opening promo and a Triple H/Kurt Angle feud could be really good. Danielson winning is nice and Kofi getting the last word, maybe another feud? I dunno. Melina winning is obvious, she's the Number One Contender, passable post match stuff. DQ win for Orton is good, makes Kane seem like a bigger heel and Edge coming out after was pretty obvious. Del Rio's promo seemed good, not sure of Undertaker randomly coming out though. It was probably to set up those 1.30.11 things, and I think I just got an idea of who that is. Not too sure of Big Show ultimately going over both McIntyre and Rhodes. Bo Rotundo vs. Alex Riley must be the new piss break. Definitely see Mysterio retaining at the Rumble. Edge winning is good, I know how you love to push Big Zeke though. Kane standing tall shows his dominance so good. Good show, can't wait for the Rumble.

-Interesting promo to kick off the show. I wonder if the Angle/HHH will be a long-term feud going into Mania. -Danielson over Kingston was good either way. A great match here to kick off the show. -Orton going over was great, as the better way to go considering his position of being buried later. -Del Rio/Taker at WM.....Epic. Part of something I planned too so I hope you go through with it. -Edge over Ezekiel Jackson was the best way to go here was well. Decent main event. -Solid show.

WWE SmackDown: Thursday 13th January 2011...Good win for Michael Tarver in the punching machine challenge, don't agree with that being the first competition in Season 2 though. Brodus Clay winning against Derrick Bateman pleases me. Tito Colón beating Michael Tarver knocks Tarver down a step after winning that challenge. And Jackson Andrews and Byron Saxton is an interesting team. But good win for them against Jerelle Clark and Joe Anoa'i. Acceptable episode of NXT. Primo and Carlito beating the Usos was expected, Jimmy and Jey are massive disappointments. Nice win for Evan Bourne against R-Truth, even though R-Truth's heel run went downhill fast. Triple H's promo was good, and his feud with Kurt Angle is reaching intriguing heights. Bryan Danielson beating Kofi Kingston is fine, a solid match definitely. Melina going to the Royal Rumble sounds good, best idea for her to go and face April Lee. Was highly unlikely she lose to Serena anyway. Randy Orton beating Kane is fine, solid Pick Your Poison match to close out the first hour. Alberto Del Rio's promo was nice, if Undertaker actually goes after him, he'd kill all of Del Rio's credibility. Big Show beating Cody Rhodes is alright, acceptable match. Alex Riley beating Bo Rotundo...terrible match. WWE Superstars worthy. Ultimate dislike, and while I like Jack Swagger being his protegé, he should be WWE United States Champion, not Riley. Good promo from Swagger afterwards on Rey Mysterio, hopefully their feud is short though. Lastly, solid main event with Edge beating Ezekiel Jackson. But it's highly predictable that Edge win at the Royal Rumble. Not a bad show, nothing special though.

I cannot wait for Sin Cara, either, as I am really excited to see how you use him in this diary and I am loving the direction you are taking with the Triple H vs Kurt Angle feud, really loving it, something tells me that these 2 will face each other at WrestleMania 27, and I cannot wait to see these 2 implode even more that they have been imploding. Danielson beating Kofi, I agree with that, and he is about to attack Kofi only for it to be turned around on him and Kofi hitting Trouble In Paradise from out of nowhere, love it.
My man Randy Orton beating Kane by DQ, I love that a whole lot, take a win any way you can get it, but Kane attacking my man Orton, that I didn't love by any means but only for Edge to come down to save Orton by Spearing Kane, love that, a whole lot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated RKO staredown, and nod after, best touch by far
Melina vs April Lee at the Royal Rumble, could care less about the divas, no offense
The Del Rio/Taker segment I loved it, especially when Taker Chokeslammed Ricardo Rodriguez, loved it, but why would Alberto just leave his right hand man hanging like that, but still the 1/30/11 stuff, it follows Taker around, everywhere he goes, now I am really intrigued to find out who it is
Big Show beating Rhodes, love that, and Alex Riley beating Bo Rotundo, alright match
Swagger cutting a promo on Rey, hogging up all the spotlight until he gives it off to A-Ri, something tells me that Swagger is a bit jealous there of his rookie, it is just that he hides it very well, that his rookie might be better than him
Edge beating Ezekiel Jackson, huge fan of that, definitely feelin that, but Kane after the match comes in and attacks Edge and hits the Tombstone Piledriver on the WWE Title, that was heinous, but necessary for Kane especially if he wants to ride in the momentum going into the Rumble PPV
Overall awesome Smackdown show, really, cannot wait for RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SmackDown, I'm not sure about Kurt Angle fleeing from Triple H, makes him look inferior. Bryan Danielson winning is good for him, and the aftermath with Kingston was good as it allows Kingston to get some momentum as well. I am glad Melina won here as her versus April Lee should be very interesting. Kane getting himself disqualified makes sense because he knows that he doesn't need to win, and can get the upper hand by saving himself from anymore damage. Loved the Alberto Del Rio segment, and could totally see that happening. This "1-30-11" thing is very intriguing. Love that Big Show is dominating lately, but Rhodes and McIntyre are still made to look credible. A good win for Alex Riley and he needs every victory he can pick up to make sure he is built enough for the United States Championship. A good segment to follow with Alex Riley standing tall, but I don't see him winning at the Rumble. A good choice of opponent for Edge, but it was right for him to come out on top. Kane standing tall definitely makes me think that Edge will take the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, which I wouldn't mind seeing. Overall, a good show.

SD: - A decent opening segment although it did make Angle look weak, he should have stood up to Trips, keep them both looking strong. - Nice opening match and glad to see Bryan getting the victory. Not so sure on the post match segment however, I really don't need to see a re-feud between these two. - Meh, don't really care about Melina winning here, I much more prefer Serena. Hopefully AJ takes the win at the Rumble. - Orton being Kane's opponent is a nice choice, but Kane using a steel chair to get disqualified just sees a bit odd. That and the post match attack by Edge made Kane look really weak. - Nice segment with Undertaker and Del Rio, but it doesn't really serve a proper purpose. If your building up to something at the Rumble with this whole date ripoff thing then Taker's focus should be on that. - Decent match and segment with Show, Rhodes and McIntyre, nice build up to the Royal Rumble although there is no way Show should win it. - Good build up to IC title match, I'd really like to see Riley take the victory and the belt, it would be a great way to solidify NXT as a legitimate way to bring in stars. I'm not sure what you've been doing with Rotundo cause from what I've seen he's a jobber and nothing more. - Nice segment with Riley, Swagger and Mysterio but I'm not sure it was really needed, could have been added straight on to the end of the match. - Using Ezekial Jackson as Edge's opponent is a nice way to put him across as a main event threat. Edge going over was the right move. Kane attacking Edge was a nice touch although I'm not entirely sure how much more you can build this match. I really hope Edge takes the title though, I just don't see Kane as a real champion in this diary.

Live from the US Scene Forum in Little Rock, AR on Monday, January 17, 2011 - "Still Up"
| Eve Torres defeats Maryse; Duke Rotundo defeats Yoshi Tatsu A back and forth diva's match. Maryse gets tons of nearfalls on Eve and gets some of her cheap tactics here and there. Eve manages to finish her off with a standing moonsault and get the pinfall though; Tatsu surprises Rotundo with some great offense but ultimately gets literally squashed with a senton splash and is pinned. |

INTRO: MONDAY NIGHT RAWThe opening pyros go off as Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome everybody to the show. They talk about how last week John Cena got himself suspended as he put his challenger, Dolph Ziggler, through the table they signed the contract for their match on. Now the World Heavyweight Champion won't be here, but the challenger will be. Speaking of him, Dolph Ziggler comes out to boos with Katilyn right along with him arm in arm. They get down to the ring and Ziggler looks slightly angry, but forms a smile across his face as he gets on the mic. He says that he thinks about last week and being put through a table by John Cena. The crowd cheer for that but Ziggler then says because he did that, he got himself suspended and now he won't be here tonight! He gives a chuckle as the audience begins to boo him again. He says that the Royal Rumble is just a couple of weeks away and tonight he doesn't need to worry about John Cena ruining the moments he should be shining on Monday Night Raw. He goes to say something else but Intercontinental Champion John Morrison makes his way down to the ring to everybody's surprise. He gets in the ring and Ziggler asks what the hell he is doing. Morrison gives a simple reply: He may not have to deal with John Cena, but he can still have to deal with John Morrison. He says he knows Ziggler wants gold around his waist as he has gone about a year now without it. Ziggler gives him a cold stare as Morrison says he knows his facts. Dolph was the Intercontinental Champion at one point and he did beat him for that title. But that was way back about fifteen months ago and things have been a hell of a lot different for the both of them. Well he was winning the World Heavyweight Championship and beating seasoned veterans and once again becoming the Intercontinental Champion, Dolph was doing nothing. The only reason he is getting a title shot at Royal Rumble is because he cheated his way through the King of the Ring tournament. Ziggler tells him to shut his mouth. This is his show and nobody else's. Especially John Morrison's, because in just thirteen days it will be Dolph Ziggler as the World Heavyweight Champion - far more superior to the Intercontinental Champion. He tells Morrison to brag all he wants about being a champion, but he has surpassed him in the rankings. Morrison says that's fair enough but he came out here for a reason and that reason isn't to hear the annoying voice of a fake-tan spaghetti-string haired idiot. He instead wants to offer Dolph a match here tonight. He smiles and Ziggler says he doesn't need to face him and therefore declines. He begins to walk past Morrison as the crowd boos but Ziggler stops at the ropes and turns back to him. He wags his finger and says that is unless Morrison is willing to add to the stakes. He points to the Intercontinental Championship and JoMo smirks. He says he has no problem putting his gold on the line - he's on. COMMERCIAL BREAK Ted DiBiase

The bell rings and a good lock up kicks things off with DiBiase getting the upper hand early and getting Barrett down. He works him a bit on the mat and gets a few hard shots on his feet. Barrett manages to fight back following a big boot, however. He slams DiBiase around the ring and in the corner and really works at the back. He sets up for the Wasteland, but DiBiase somehow manages to slip free and hit Dream Street and snag the pinfall.

 (6:15) **1/2

DiBiase rises to his feet and raises his fists up in celebration. Barrett staggers up behind him, however, and clubs him right over the back! He begins to stomp away at him on the mat and the referee tires to pull him away. Barrett backs him into the corner though and drags DiBiase onto his shoulders once back up. He nails the Wasteland in the middle of the ring and taunts to the booing crowd. He exits the ring in disgust as the ref checks on Ted.COMMERCIAL BREAK Joe Hennig w/Brett DiBiase vs Shelton Benjamin w/Charlie Haas vs Trent Beretta w/Caylen Croft and Curt Hawkins

The bell sounds and all four men get into a brawl. Things spill to the outside quickly, however, and the referee has a hard time keeping things under control. Benjamin ends up nailing Hennig with the Paydirt and returns to the ring and goes diving over the other ropes to take out all three Dudebusters. A cluster of action for a couple minutes, switching around opponents constantly. Things come to an end when Kidd hits the Code Blue on Hennig and get the pinfall.

 (6:21) **3/4

Kidd proceeds to celebrate his win but Mason Ryan makes his way out with Paul Heyman. He comes down to the ring and goes right up to Kidd and Smith. He begins to trade shots with the both of them until the three other teams come into the ring and get in on the fight against Ryan. They all work at him and eventually spill him over the top rope as Heyman screams in rage at them. Suddenly, all the teams begin to go at each other and start to toss each other over the top rope. Eventually, however, nobody is victorious in this little brawl as the Dudebusters end up exiting the ring after they are left with the Hart Dynasty. COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return and the arena is scanned over silently until Mr. McMahon struts his way out to heavy boos. He comes down to the ring with a smug look across his face and gets a mic in his hand. He wanders around a bit getting "You suck" chants until he yells at everybody to shut up in his classic, raspy way. He says he has been getting tons of questions from everybody about these cryptic random messages to the Undertaker and he is being accused of sending out these videos of confusion to play mind games with the Dead Man and get him all jumpy for no reason. That and the accusation of him choosing somebody to take out the Undertaker. He gives a little bit of silence and then says that he would like to come clean here tonight and reveal to everybody... that he has nothing to do with those messages and he has no idea at all about what it means or anything. The crowd boo, obviously not believing him. McMahon once again orders them to shut up and says that he is a truthful man and before he can bicker more, the titantron fuzzes up. "Here comes..." is once again heard but is followed by "No chance..." and ends with the 1.30.11 message. Things go back to normal as McMahon looks up at the titantron silently. He laughs and wags his finger up the ramp and says that he knows what's going on here. It's obviously mind games of the Undertaker all along! He obviously tried to throw everybody off by having them play back to himself but now they come to him? Vince McMahon? He claims to see clearly now that the Dead Man is threatening him. Threatening the chairman, the man who had the balls to fire him last year! The only reason he doesn't do it again is because of the money. He gets his cocky evil grin across his face and says it's all about the money. People want to see The Undertaker now, don't they? The arena cheers for the idea. McMahon says that's too damn bad and now the heat comes again. He tells Undertaker to bring on 1.30.11, whatever that may be - he'll be ready. COMMERCIAL BREAK Chris Jericho

The bell rings, Punk and Jericho locking up. They each back each other up twice before Punk nails a kick. He follows with a series of shots and eventually takes Y2J to the mat and works his arm constantly. Jericho fights back though and ends up working the legs of Punk. They each try and get submission holds and have excellent on-the-mat action for a few minutes. Punk ends up going for the GTS out of nowhere, however. Jericho manages to pull himself free in mid-air and nails the Codebreaker amazingly. The arena goes wild for the spot as Jericho hooks both legs and Punk manages to kick out. He takes a while before dragging Punk back up and gets shifted up onto his shoulders again and gets hit with the GTS this time. A cover but Jericho manages to flop his foot on the bottom rope nearby barely. Punk can't believe it and pulls him back up, working away with shots. He gets Y2J in the corner and goes for his signature knee. Jericho catches it, however, and drops Punk on his head. He drags him to the middle of the ring and proceeds to lock in the Walls of Jericho. He yanks back, yelling out to the crowd as they cheer on. Punk finds himself unable to get the ropes and he taps out.

 (10:04) ***3/4

Jericho staggers to his feet getting cheered by the crowd. He gets a mic and laughs a little bit before telling everybody to shut their mouths, he didn't do this to get their approval. Tons of heat for that comment. He says that CM Punk is one of the greatest competitors he has faced in a long time - but that's besides the point. He has yet to lose a match this year and when he goes to the Royal Rumble match, he isn't going to lose that either. He tells everybody he doesn't care if they are sick of hearing it over and over again - he will say it next week two when he is 4-0 in 2011. He slams the mic down and exits the ring.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return at ringside where Lawler says that there have been a few more participants announced for the Royal Rumble match in less than two weeks! Cole proceeds to give the announcement that the World's Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, along with the Fortunate Sons, Joe Hennig and Brett DiBiase, will be entering the match along with one other man... Cole stops and says this is ridiculous. Lawler laughs and says it will be Santino Marella!Diva's Championship Layla vs |
Michelle McCool©

The bell rings and McCool immediately begins a beat down on her former best friend. She gets a few near falls on her and Layla doesn't get any offense in whatsoever. McCool backs her into a corner but Layla tends to her knee and the referee gets McCool to back off as Layla gets checked on by him. McCool comes near again and the ref has to back her off. Layla pulls herself back up and ducks a clothesline and rolls McCool up - feet on ropes - for the three!

Winner of the match via pinfall and NEW Diva's Champion, Layla (4:23) **1/4

Layla pops to her feet and begins to celebrate her win. The referee grabs the Diva's Championship as the replay of Layla cheating for victory is shown on the titantron. The referee takes notice of it and points at Layla and explaining something to her. She looks in shock as he goes back to Justin Roberts and tells him something. Roberts then announces that referee Justin King has reversed his decision. Therefore, the winner of the match and still Diva's Champion - Michelle McCool! She is given the belt, but Layla isn't happy. She runs to the champ and clotheslines her. She stomps away viciously until she falls out of the ring. She screams at her over the top rope in a fit of rage as she is held back.
Cutting backstage, Todd Grisham introduces his guest at this time to be "The Celtic Warrior", Sheamus. He asks him about the Royal Rumble coming up and what his plans are in the match. He says that first of all - he doesn't care if he draws number one or number forty. It's all the same to him. He plans on eliminating anybody that stands in front of him in that match. He'll even prove it next week. Rumor has it that a Royal Rumble preview match is happening and he wants in it. He'll make sure that he is the last one standing twice next week. He smiles and walks off.COMMERCIAL BREAK The Miz

The bell tolls and the two lock up. Goldust actually gets the upper hand early on, rocking Miz a few times and getting a couple of two counts. Miz isn't happy about it one bit and begins to unleash viciously with knees and forearms in the corner repeatedly. He hits his signature corner clothesline and then goes up behind the crawling veteran and hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale dead center of the ring and hooks both legs up for the three.

Winner of the match via pinfall, The Miz (5:40) **1/2

Miz rises up to his feet as the crowd boos him tremendously. He gets a mic and shakes his head. He says that Goldust is just like Shawn Michaels. Washed up and a loser! He drags him back up and hits him with another Skull Crushing Finale. Michaels, however, comes rushing down to the ring at full speed and gets stomped on. Miz drags him up and throws him into the corner and fires away until HBK throws some back and eventually takes him against the other side of the ring and tries to clothesline him. Miz drops to the mat before it and gets out and goes around the ring. He goes up the ramp and they share some trash talk to each other. Things are heated.
We cut to an area of the arena where the concession stands are. John Cena is standing and taking pictures with people. Security comes up to him in the middle of it and tells him he is suspended for tonight and he can't be here. He asks what the hell they are talking about - he's not here for work! He reaches in his back pocket and pulls out a ticket. He shows it to them and they let go of him. Cena brushes off his shoulder and begins to walk with a smile.COMMERCIAL BREAK Dolph Ziggler w/Kaitlyn

Just as the bell rings, John Cena is shown making his way down to the front row. Morrison comes right at Ziggler as he is distracted and fires away. He gets strong momentum in the opening minutes and ends up hitting an impressive springboard enziguri and gets a near fall. He continues his control until Ziggler shoves him off the top rope and into the barricade in front of Cena, who cheers JoMo on as we go to break. When we return, Ziggler is still in control in the ring. He works Morrison on the mat until he fights back up and elbows him in the gut and gets free. He begins a streak of tosses and dropkicks to send him down. Ziggler manages to avoid a clothesline and hit the Zig Zag out of nowhere though - but only gets a two count. He gets very frustrated and drags Morrison back up. He is tossed into the corner however and Morrison goes to him and starts the ten punches. Ziggler shoves him off though and JoMo goes flying back. Just as Ziggler gets out of the corner, Cena comes storming into the ring. Dolph gets distracted with him and yells as Cena gets right out and goes up the ramp quickly. Ziggler yells at him and turns right to a kick to the stomach and the Moonlight Drive! Security comes storming at Cena on the ramp and begin to get hold of him as Morrison nails the Starship Pain and gets the pinfall on Ziggler.

Winner of the match via pinfall and still Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison (9:35) ***1/4

Morrison is given his Intercontinental title and he raises it up in celebration. Cena gives him a nod and gets one right back as Ziggler grasps hold of the bottom ropes and looks up at Cena furiously, who gives him a grin and a shrug as he is taken to the back. Raw comes to an end.

RAW: - Nice opening segment and a great way to set up the Intercontinental championship match for tonight. Glad to see the young stars getting the push. - Good win for DiBiase, a feud between him and Barrett could be interesting. I'm liking that DiBiase is actually relevant here. - Odd fatal four way match but I'm guessing it's just some build for the rumble. Cool to see Mason Ryan come out but it kinda made him look weak. - Interesting segment with Mr. McMahon, and a good way to eliminate him as a suspect in the whole videos angle, got to admit I'm interested in seeing who it is. - I'm liking Jericho's whole undefeated in 2011 storyline, but I don't know how long you can keep it running, especially if he doesn't take the Rumble. I also don't like him calling Punk one of the greatest competitors he's faced, just doesn't seem like something Jericho would say. - Not impressed by the Diva's match/ angle. I'm a bit worried you'll drag this out far too long, plus I always hate how selective people are with the whole 'instant replay' thing. Once that three count is made, the finish is official. - Miz going over was the obvious move, I'm enjoying his feud with Michaels but I kinda feel it could have been left for WrestleMania, cause I don't see it working if it's stretched out that long. - Solid main event, glad to see Ziggler and Morrison getting the spot, they could put on a solid world title feud one day. Morrison going over with Cena interference was the obvious move, wouldn't have worked any other way. Believe it or not but I'm actually enjoying this feud, which is rare for something involving Cena. Keep it up.

Raw, love that the Intercontinental Championship is getting a chance to shine tonight, along with it's holder, John Morrison. Surprised to see Ted DiBiase go over here, but the aftermath made up for it with Barrett taking him out. I like this Fatal 4-Way situation you have going on with the teams, but I was shocked to see Tyson Kidd go over. The focus is definitely on The Hart Dynasty and The Dudebusters here. Mason Ryan's involvement in the aftermath was brilliant, but I'm glad he didn't demolish everyone, showing that he can be beaten when the numbers are against him, e.g. in the Royal Rumble. Loving the mind games with Undertaker and Mr. McMahon here, it's difficult to say who it is now that it's been played to both of them, as Undertaker wouldn't really play them to himself. I adore this storyline with Chris Jericho being undefeated in 2011, but I don't see it lasting past the Rumble. Wow, I did not expect Layla to win the Divas Championship here! Oh wait... she didn't. Good use of the 'Instant Replay' here. Obvious victory for The Miz, and the aftermath with HBK is good. Brilliant Main Event and Cena having a ticket is great. Glad that he cost Ziggler the match as it wouldn't have worked any other way. Great show, bro. Keep it up.

From the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK on Thursday, January 20, 2011 - "Monstrous"
| Brodus Clay defeats Jerrelle Clark; Byron Saxton defeats Derrick Bateman, Michael Tarver, and Jackson Andrews; Tito Colón and Cody Rhodes defeat Joe Anoa'i and Carlito |
Clay puts Clark away via pinfall after taking him from the top rope and hitting a chokebomb; Saxton throws Bateman out of the ring following a hard DDT from him and gets the pin on Tarver; Tito hits a backstabber on Anoa'i and pins him right in front of his cousin Carlito.

| Jimmy Uso w/Jules Uso defeats Primo w/Carlito |
The match is mostly controlled by Primo as he keeps momentum early on. Jules ends up pulling the ropes down as he's on the top rope and Jimmy hits a Samoan Drop and gets the pin. Carlito attempts to attack Jules, but gets double teamed. The Uso's end up hitting splashes from the top rope on the Colón's.

INTRO: THURSDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWNWe are welcomed by a huge pyro display to the show as Jim Ross and Josh Mathews voice in. They talk about a huge main event taking place tonight as Edge teams up with Randy Orton to take on recent rivals in the monsters of WWE Champion Kane and the man-beast, Ezekiel Jackson. Also in action will be the only Olympic gold medalist in WWE history, Kurt Angle. He will be going one on one with Kofi Kingston - but right now, we dive right into other action! Kaval

A match expected to be excellent between these two former indy stars. They lock up and get right down to the mat applying different holds on each other and getting right out, knowing them well. Danielson gets aggressive and beats the hell out of him with kicks and punches. He gets stopped multiple times, but he just goes right back to it. Kaval fires back with some hard kicks of his own and ends up taking Danielson to the mat following a couple of chops and a headbutt. He then hits a hard fisherman suplex on the rise back up and he climbs to the top rope. Danielson rolls out of the way from the Warrior's Way and Kaval falls onto his face. Danielson takes immediate advantage and locks in the Cattle Mutilation! He pulls on it tight until Kaval finally gives in and taps.

 (8:14) ***1/4

Danielson gets back to his feet as the crowd boos him on. He drags Kaval up slowly and grabs him by the neck and tights and looks up to the WrestleMania logo. He points up to it and then re-grabs the neck before rushing to that side of the ring and tossing Kaval over the top rope. He motions a clean up with his hands before blowing on them and taking a bow to the booing crowd. He exits the ring slowly with a grin across his face and heads to the back.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return to see Abraham Washington backstage with The Uso's. Washington says that apparently two spots have already been reserved in the Royal Rumble match. One by Jesse Ventura and some new signing and some other spot has been bought out by somebody anonymous. Therefore there are only three spots left and he wants to make sure the right people get in. He owes them something for what they did back in the days of ECW - so he wants to offer them two of those three spots available. Jimmy says he's making the right decision and Jules speaks for them saying they'll take them and one of them will be going to WrestleMania! They walk out of the room and Kaval comes walking in. He gives a stare to Washington and says he would like some revenge on Bryan Danielson and he wants in on that Royal Rumble match so he can throw him out and give him a taste of his own medicine. Washington says he likes that attitude - but he is going to have to prove it to him. He looks around before sending a sharp kick into the wall and putting a hole through it. He looks back to Washington, who seems quite intimidated, and he tells him he has the spot.
We cut to ringside as Jim Ross and Josh Mathews run down the card for the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. John Cena defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Dolph Ziggler; Rey Mysterio defends the United States Championship against Alex Riley; April Lee defends the Women's Championship against Melina; Kane defends the WWE Championship against Kane; and the first-ever forty-man Royal Rumble match where the winning superstar gets a world title match at WrestleMania XXVII!COMMERCIAL BREAK Alex Riley w/Jack Swagger vs Women's Champion April Lee and United States Champion Rey Mysterio

Mysterio and Riley start things off as the bell sounds. They go back and forth to start things off with Riley overpowering his rival. Mysterio manages to take him down a lot though and eventually makes a tag to Lee, forcing Melina to come in. Lee keeps control for the most part as Mysterio ends up making a huge springboard dive over onto Riley and Swagger. Lee is impressed and applauds him - but is rolled up from behind for the three.

 (5:42) **1/4

Melina quickly rolls out of the ring as Mysterio gets up on the outside in disbelief. He asks Lee what happened and she says she doesn't know. Mysterio is then floored from behind by Swagger. He and Riley begin to stomp down on him viciously for a little while before making their way up the ramp. Lee gets out to check on Rey but gets kicked in the face by Melina, who gives a witch-like laugh and makes her way towards the back.
We cut backstage to Todd Grisham who introduces his guest at this time to be Kurt Angle. He asks him about his situation with Triple H. He says that they are patching things up. It was a mistake two weeks ago what he did and that's all. Nothing is going to come out of it and they are still going to team together and proceed to the Royal Rumble, win the whole thing, and then go to WrestleMania and take over the entire company like they planned. He walks off.COMMERCIAL BREAK Kofi Kingston

The bell tolls and Angle immediately throws Kingston around to the mat constantly. He gets met up with a hard series of kicks and eventually gets sent to the outside with a ginormous dropkick. Kingston then splashes onto him and then takes him back into the ring. He uses his high-flying ability and completely takes control of the match. He goes for the Trouble In Paradise, however, and gets caught by the ankle and placed into the ankle lock! Kingston scrambles about. Triple H comes down to the ring slowly applauding as Angle looks to him. He gets up onto the apron eventually and Angle lets the hold go. He walks up to him and asks what he is doing out here and Hunter tells him he's just cheering him on. Angle spins around to the Trouble In Paradise! Kingston quickly moves over to him and hooks both legs and gets the three count.

 (8:40) ***

Kingston rises to his feet in celebration and gives a few taunts to the crowd before exiting the ring. Triple H enters the ring as Angle begins to stagger. He shoves Hunter and yells at him for costing him the match. Hunter gets right in his face and they stare down. He shoves him back and asks him how it feels to be screwed. Angle then walks to the ropes and leaves the ring as the crowd boos as for the second week in a row - Angle backs down.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return and Ricardo Rodriguez is introduced by Tony Chimel. He then proceeds to make the introduction of Alberto Del Rio. He drives out in one of his luxurious cars and hops out in ring gear. He does his regular entrance and comes down to the ring and takes the microphone. He says that there are only ten days until the Royal Rumble! Where he will fulfill his destiny and win the Royal Rumble match and go on to WrestleMania! He winks and informs everybody that they already know that. He laughs a bit and lets the crowd boo him heavily. He says that last week he promised to return to the ring tonight and prove himself worthy of winning the Rumble match. He will destroy whatever so-called competition comes down to the ring and make them look like the dung of his prized horses down in his much better country of Mexico. Some more booing as he laughs some more and says that it is okay if they boo him, they can boo him forever and ever. The fact of the matter is that at the Royal Rumble they will be booing him because he is going to be going to WrestleMania! More boos and he urges the crowd on to keep it up. He continues to egg them on until Evan Bourne makes his way down to the ring and takes the microphone right out of Del Rio's hand. He says that he doesn't care what his so-called destiny is in ten days. Tonight his destiny is to lose to Evan Bourne! He then drops the mic and takes off his shirt as the referee calls for the bell as we head to a break. COMMERCIAL BREAKAlberto Del Rio w/Ricardo Rodriguez vs Evan Bourne | We return to the show as the match is in full effect. Bourne has Del Rio in the corner and beats the hell out of him with forearms and kicks. He hurricanranas him to the mat and then dropkicks him down on the rise back up. Del Rio manages to fight back hard though as he takes hold of the arm and drops it over the top rope when he is out on the apron. He then smashes it against the steel post a few times and ends up crushing it with boots as Bourne lays face down. He takes Bourne up and pulls his arm far away before jumping up and proceeding to get the rolling cross armbar in. Bourne kicks around well screaming out but has to tap out due to the amount of pain. | |
(7:13) **3/4

Del Rio rises up to his feet with a huge cocky grin across his face. He spreads his arms out and calls for the cameraman to get to him. He says to the people watching at home "It's my destiny to win the Royal Rumble! But you already know that!" and he gives his wink. Bourne still rolls around on the mat and Del Rio goes over to him, dragging him back up. He takes the arm and hits the rolling cross armbar again. He pulls back on it viciously and tears away hard. He refuses to let go until about three referees are in the ring and Bourne is in tremendous pain. Del Rio exits the ring quite pleased.COMMERCIAL BREAK Drew McIntyre vs Big Show

The bell rings as Rhodes starts things off. He gets overpowered early on and embarassed with slaps to the chest. He makes an early tag to McIntyre and he meets the same fate. He fights back though until Rhodes makes a blind tag and takes work to Show's legs from behind. He tries to get them hurt enough to take him down but constantly gets shoved aside. Rhodes looks to McIntyre and gives him some type of signal and he drops to the floor. Rhodes continues to try and work at Show until McIntyre enters the ring and hits the giant in the back with a steel chair.

Winner of the match via disqualification, Big Show (6:20) **

McIntyre continues to hit him in the back with the chair until Show turns around and hits a punch right into it, sending it flying. Rhodes dives at his legs and clips them, however, dropping Show to his knee. McIntyre goes and picks the chair back up and rushes at Show to hit him but gets grabbed by the throat. Show gets up slowly and boots Rhodes with his good leg. He then chokeslams McIntyre and the crowd gives a big pop as he raises his hand and gives a roar.COMMERCIAL BREAKWe return to see Evan Bourne being tended to in the back by doctors and he is on a stretcher, clearly still in pain from earlier. Todd Grisham is standing there and says he has an update on Bourne's condition and according to the doctors he has torn a pectoral muscle. He explains further more that he will require surgery and should be expected out of action for quite some time following this vicious attack at the hands of Alberto Del Rio.
After a thank you for the update from J.R., we cut to Edge in a locker room lacing up his boots. He is silently doing so as the crowd cheers on in the background. A knock is given on the door and he looks up, telling them to come in. Randy Orton slowly walks into the room and gets a good pop. He says that once again they team up following that rivalry last year. He just wants to assure him that he doesn't care about his whole thing with Kane. The only thing he really does care about is destroying Ezekiel Jackson tonight and winning the Royal Rumble with him out of the way. Edge tells him that sounds like a good plan. Orton says it is. But the thing is - if Edge manages to get the championship at the Royal Rumble, he has no problem challenging against him and showing no mercy. Edge says he wouldn't expect anything less from him. But tonight - they are teaming up. He tells Randy to worry about that and walks out.COMMERCIAL BREAK WWE Champion Kane w/Ranjin Singh vs Randy Orton and Edge

The bell tolls as Edge and Zeke start off. Edge gets the upper hand early with his toughness. He rocks Zeke a few times but ends up getting stopped completely with a big boot. Zeke then proceeds to overpower him and makes a tag to Kane. The WWE Champion comes in an works the #1 contender for a couple minutes with his own strength until Orton is tagged in. He storms into the ring and unloads viciously on Kane. He hits the RKO and considers pinning him but Edge calls for the tag. Orton crawls over to him and makes the tag before rolling out of the ring. Edge crouches in the corner and prepares for the spear as Kane gets up slowly. Edge starts to storm on the turn, Jackson making a tag as the head is ducked down. The spear is nailed and the Rated R Superstar goes for the pin - the referee calling it off as Kane isn't legal. Edge gets up questioning him before being spun around and hit with the Book of Ezekiel. He hooks the leg and gets the pinfall on the #1 contender!

 (10:08) ***

Jackson rises to his feet and pumps his fists in the air in victory. Kane staggers back up slowly and is given his WWE Championship. He and Zeke come to the center of the ring and stare each other down. They continue the lengthy stare until Kane begins to laughs a bit. Jackson keeps a straight face as Kane soon fades his laugh and raises his arms up and drops them for his pyro and his theme takes over Jackson's. Edge and Orton still remain down in and out of the ring as the stare-down of the two monsters continues to end the show.

Nice way to open up SD. The main event sounds nice. BD vs Kaval to open up the show is awesome. Nice to see BD win. Adding the Uso's to the Royal Rumble match is good. Kaval being added as well is nice. Melina and Riley going over there is good. Post match actions are nice as well. Good promo with Del Rio. Him going over Bourne is good. Big Show winning by DQ is good. Him standing tall over McIntyre and Rhodes is great. Sucks that Bourne will be out for a while. Zeke pinning Edge is huge for him. Hes looking to be a huge star in the future. Overall, nice SD going into Royal Rumble

WWE SmackDown: Thursday 17th January 2011...NXT sounded fair, Brodus Clay with the win is fine, as is Byron Saxton but I'm saddened by the lack of push Derrick Bateman is receiving. Tito Colón and Cody Rhodes is a strange combination to me, but good win against Joe Anoa'i and Carlito. No competitions? Weird. Sounded lacklustre to me. And the four-way match should have main evented or opened. Jimmy Uso beating Primo is acceptable for WWE Superstars. Weak opening contest to kick off the show, but I suppose the match quality would have been good enough. Bryan Danielson with the win was expected and for the best, nice effort by Kaval though. Could have gone longer. Interesting with Abraham Washington and the Usos. Melina and Alex Riley is an odd combination, never really sure about mismatch mixed tag team contests. Riley pinning Rey Mysterio is big; by roll-up makes it obvious Rey's not losing the WWE United States Championship. Kofi Kingston beating Kurt Angle? Woah. Didn't see that coming. Doesn't help Angle in his rivalry with Triple H though. Now I think, it was a bad idea to bring Angle back to the WWE, he's not done too much of note. Alberto Del Rio's promo wasn't half bad. Del Rio needed the win against Evan Bourne to look credible going into the Royal Rumble. Big Show beating both Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre is ridiculous. Dislike. Bourne injured? That makes Del Rio look brutal I suppose. Ezekiel Jackson and Kane is a good team, defeating Rated RKO is nice. A decent episode, nothing too special though.
