Looking a few years back around Wrestlemania 19 and 20 around that time period WWE had guys like Austin, Rock, Goldberg, HBK, Brock etc, and they could have had some really nice Wrestlemania matches.
For instance at Wrestlemania 19 or even Wrestlemania 20, it could have been:
HBK vs Rock
Hogan vs Austin
Brock vs Austin
Goldberg vs Austin
thoughts?

There was Austin/ Rock III, Hogan/ McMahon and HBK/ Jericho on 19, and Lesnar/ Goldberg at 20 (although that match was disappointing in the end), so they had big names colliding anyway. |

I wouldn't say they messed up on anything. Austin didn't want to wrestle when Goldberg came in, Austin was more or less retired when Brock became big, Hogan vs. Austin would have only worked at Wrestlemania at 18 but Rock vs. Hogan was successful enough, and as far I know, Rock wouldn't wrestle HBK.
19 and 20 had plenty of classic matches anyway, like Jericho vs. Michaels (which was a dream match at the time), Brock vs. Angle, Benoit vs. HBK vs. Triple H, MITB...etc.

Wrestlemania 19 had so much potential to be amazing, but instead of delivering the dream matches that fans craved they gave us 2 Title Contender's that either did not deserve to be in a Mania Mainevent, or were not ready to be in one (Booker & Brock). The Rock vs Austin match was not necessary.
I would have rather seen this:
World Championship - Triple H (c) vs The Rock.
WWE Championship - Kurt Angle (c) vs Brock Lesnar
Hulk Hogan vs Stone Cold
The Undertaker vs Chris Benoit
Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho
Ric Flair vs Booker T
- World Tag Titles - Los Guerreros vs WGTT
- Cruiser Title - Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio

Brock Vs. Lesner was the worst match I have ever seen, went on too long with nothing happening. Plus the "You Sold Out!" chants pretty much sumed it all up.

But, with your card, we would have gotten the same WWE Title Match ( ), a heel/heel World Title match, a match in which would have had to end in a Double DQ due to conflicts between the two wrestlers, and the rest really is very similar, or total craptbh, yea, yours would have been great  |
